Hello everyone, this is my first Fanfiction for Spiral Knights, based off a character I created for a different story. I apologize in advance if any part of this story offends you or does not live up to your standards (if you happen to have any).
Please tell me what you think of the story, and things I can do to improve my writing.
I've opened applications, please keep in mind I'll only be accepting for specific roles, which are:
-Test Subjects (must not be Knights, however, they can be extremely biologically modified Knights)
-Hunters (must be Knights or Mecha Knights)
-Researchers (must be Knights)
-Normal Exploring Knights
Also, use this form when applying:
Name:
Gender:
Species:
Bio/History:
Personality:
Abilities/Weapons:
Note: I may ask for your character's name to be changed when you're applying. Also, I may deny an application for excessive uncreativity, so make sure it's especially interesting.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy.
Chapter One - Relocation
No matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t remember.
Maybe it was the scents of fear and panic and the scary memories that jumbled up everything and made my brain go fuzzy and not want to bring up the memories of the moment the Knights caught us? I don’t know, it’s not like I’m a neuroscientist or anything.
At least I’m somewhat glad there is one. But it baffled me. Why a bell?
The bell one of the people was holding was the sole thing I could clearly remember about that day. It was as if my mind knew it would be there and decided to record just that thing.
I don’t know how it was rung or when it was rung, but all I know is that the sound that came from it was merciless. Surrounding, encompassing. It pierced through my skull, my bones, everything. I couldn’t hear anything besides it. And it was incredibly horrible to endure. I thought I could just run away from this awful noise, but when I asked my muscles to move, they didn’t reply. The memory ends there.
I also had one other memory, fleeting and equally confusing.
A sharp, piercing point. Not the cruel point of a sword or a bullet from one of their loud guns, but quick and precise.
All I could see when I opened my eyes was white.
“Am I dead?”, I asked myself, half expecting to see Skolver appear and answer my question. When nobody appeared in front of me, I walked in one direction, seeing if I would bump into a wall or something. I was right that time, I rammed straight into one. Recoiling from the impact, I was a little confused. What kind of afterlife has walls? Touching the wall a little, it felt cold, and made out of some stony material. So maybe I’m not in the afterlife. Where in the world could I be? No ideas occurred to me at the time, so I paced around this white space for a little while. A little later, I noticed something around my neck. I laid down on the cold surface, waiting for something to happen or for me to wake up if this was a dream. I drifted off to sleep...
Suddenly, I was jolted awake a noise, like a clinking, I couldn’t really determine what it was, but nonetheless, I spun around to where it was coming from, and braced myself for an attack. Almost all of my questions were answered in the next second when one side of the space opened itself and three hooded Knights came in, bringing weird devices with them. What kind of place is this?
As if reading my mind, one of them answered, “Haven Laboratory, Block One, Room 1-S. Initiate experiment.” Laboratory... Block one...? Experiment? What in the name of Skolver are you talking about? He didn’t answer me, but instead brought out a bell from one of the devices. That bell! I braced myself for the noise that I remembered it making from my short memory, but when the strange hammer he was holding made contact with the bell, I was completely at its mercy. The same things happened as before. I couldn’t move, and all I could hear was the horrible noise ringing in my ears. But even through the noise of the bell, I could somehow hear the Knight's voice loud and clear.
“Time to start the Replica Project.”
Bump.
Another chapter will probably coming tomorrow, and within the next few chapters I'll be accepting new characters, most likely by the third or fourth chapter.
