All of you guys have given up on this?
[Fanfiction] Test Results
I'm making a chapter soon, don't jump to conclusions.
It'll probably be sometime this weekend, but maybe, maybe not.
Writing a decent chapter takes up a good couple hours sometimes.
You dare to even THINK of me giving up on this?!
I'm interested in seeing where this is going. Hopefully it won't get far too expansive and die, like a lot of fics do.
In case you're still looking;
Name: Nuntis
Gender: Male
Species: Knight
Bio/History: A high-ranked Knight in the Order, he crash-landed on Cradle along with the destruction of the Skylark. Ever since, he has been busy assisting Spiral HQ and the Strangers in setting up a proper base of operations, and even try to reach the Core.
Personality: Believes in the good of Spiral Order and the Knights, and would give pretty much anything, including himself, to ensure the continued survival of the Order. That doesn't mean he's a brainless killer, however; he does sometimes feel pity on other sentient creatures, especially Gremlins. They are, after all, simply defending what is theirs (the Clockworks). Besides, Beasts are pretty cute! Those things aside, Nuntis is a bit of a loner as well. When tasked with something, he tends to venture into the Clockworks without having support or other Knights to back him up.
Abilities/Gear: Skolver Cap / Coat (how interesting), Acheron, Combuster. Has a Grey Owlite Shield strapped to his back, but rarely uses it. Has incredible stamina, in terms of being able to sprint for long times and getting a lot less tired than usual in fights.
Use him in any way you want, but please do respect his personality :3
I love this, it's great. Are you still looking for any knights or test subjects? Cause I think there should be a skolver.
Nuntis, your character is accepted but won't be put in the story anytime soon. I already have my hands full with the other characters, haha. But as the plot progresses, I will have more openings for characters.
Dewca, a Skolver shouldn't be needed, but it's a good idea.

Waiting paitiently and hopefully for next chapter :D

The chapter might not be out as soon as I'd like, mostly because of disinterest with it due to depression for reasons I don't want to share. So it'll be a little delayed, but don't worry, I haven't abandoned it :3

Sorry if it's a little short, didn't have many ideas to go with. I will increase the length in the following chapters though. Also, Arcsolus, I didn't get a chance to include V in yet, but I will make sure to do that next.
[SR-100's Perspective]
I blinked my eyes open in the bright sunlight of the Aurora Isles. My head is spinning... how exactly did I get here?
"Oh, finally, you're awake", a familiar voice said. I looked up with some difficulty towards the direction of the voice. Great. It was that other Snarbo-Wolver thing. Might as well ask him why I'm here.
"Yeah, I'm awake now. But seriously, how did I get here?"
"Well, you collapsed from a cut from a Phantom's Striker, so you got poisoned and I dragged you here."
"That explains why I feel like I went on a Katnip binge and had way too much."
"You've been on one before?"
"Wait... have I?" It feels sort of like I have. But I definitely can't remember anything of the sort.
"Well, whatever. I could use some help. There's bound to be Knights chasing after us", he explained to me, a semi-worried look on his face, something unusual.
"Oh, so the one who wanted to travel alone now wants me?"
"I didn't say I NEEDED help", he said indignantly.
"I'd be obliged to come with you, I guess", I cautiously replied. Who knows what this Wolver could have in mind.
"Alright, let's get going."
[Vin's Perspective]
Another day of looking for those beasts... I sighed loudly and returned to looking over the video logs of the security cameras around Haven. Nothing. Might as well ask some people. I got up from the old and slightly broken office chair and walked out the door, tossing the Camera Manager a few coins as a tip. I sat down on the cobblestone of Haven when my Pager suddenly rang. Looking at the screen, I noticed the number was unfamiliar, as it wasn't Lyra or anyone else I knew. I pressed the answer button.
"Hello, Vin speaking", I said cautiously, something I always do when answering the phone.
"Hey, I saw that poster of yours, and have some information." The voice seemed a little young but still mature.
"Oh, yes, the poster. Well, what kind of information do you have?"
"I've seen the subjects, can we meet somewhere to discuss more about it?", the voice asked. I still didn't know his name, come to think of it.
"Sure... but who are you exactly?"
"My name is Statheus."
[Statheus' Perspective]
I told the Knight, presumably named Vin from the posters, where to meet me. I'd called him about those creatures I saw the other night. Well, there was just one. It was late at night, and I had managed to escape my drunken friends to walk home. Just as I put the key in the door of my apartment, I heard a rustling behind me. I quickly spun around, expecting an intoxicated Knight to come out. Nothing seemed to at first, so it definitely wasn't that, I turned back around and went inside, not fully closing the door and keeping my eyes trained on the foliage. If it was an animal, they wouldn't be able to sense me. I was downwind of them thankfully. I wasn't interested in getting rabies tonight. The bushes rustled once more, and a very odd-looking Wolver came out, shaking the leaves off of itself. It didn't look normal; it had black fur with red streaks, and its eyes glowed red. Just like a Snarbolax. I gripped the small dagger I carried around for self-defense, but it ran off before I could even get into the street. I stared at the place where it had been standing for a while, and eventually sighed and closed the door. Then, the next day, I saw those posters. I quickly got out my phone, and I ended up to where I was now. I was standing at the corner I had given him directions to, when I heard a voice call out, similar to Vin's.
"Hey there, sorry for being a little late."
"It's not that much of a problem."
"Anyway, where did you see SR-100 and 117?", he asked me, taking out a notepad, as if he was a journalist interviewing me. I hated journalists.
"I was at my house, just about to go inside and close the door, when I spotted one of them", I explained to him. He jotted all this down and asked another question.
"What side of town is your house on?"
"The Southern Side", I replied to him. He's really strange, why does he need to know where my house is? Of course, he wrote that down too.
"Right. Thanks a bunch, this helped me quite a bit", he said, smiling and extending his hand. I shook it warily and looked at him as he ran off. What a weird guy. He suddenly started running back and yelled to me.
"Hey! If you see one of those two again, just call me!" I nodded, walking off. God, that guy was annoying. I didn't want to answer any questions, but noooo, he just had to keep talking and talking. I sat back down on the steps of the fountain, collecting my thoughts as I usually did. When it became sunset, I walked home.
That night, I didn't see any strange Wolvers. Maybe they were far away already.
This is EXACTLY how I wanted Statheus to be like. I also like the dagger. It adds a little ring to Statheus's personality.
It's almost like this thread is a library. Filled with literature, but still so quiet...
Sorry, I'm sorta putting this on a week break as this week is my last week of school, and you know what the last week of school means...
Anyway, after that, I can write up the next chapter. I managed to get partially done with it.
And about time I revived this thing too. Finally dug out a Chapter 10 I wrote up. Enjoy.
P.S. I wrote this over a month ago. Talk about procrastination! Sorry if it seems a bit short to you.

[Vin's Perspective]
After I had gotten the information from that other guy, the Knight named Statheus I think, I went back to Spiral HQ and into the Camera Room.
"Back already?", the Knight on shift said nonchalantly, twirling a pen in his hand. He was reclining in an office chair, spinning around lazily. I glared at him, annoyed that he wasn't taking his job seriously.
"Yep, got some more information from someone", I told him, showing my ID.
"She's all yours buddy. Take all the time you need." He gave me a wink and pushed away from the table. He's always making jokes like that.
I walked up to the computer and typed in a few commands, getting the South Side camera recordings from a few nights ago, when Statheus said he saw SR-100 and SR-117. There we a lot more recordings with dark, Wolver-sized shadows moving around. One caught my interest in particular. At about eleven o'clock that night, one of them, the female probably, went to the Service Elevator in Haven. The only Service Elevator. I raised my eyebrows when I saw one more appear out of nowhere and follow her in. I tapped on a few keys and the elevator log popped up. Scrolling down the list, I finally found the entry.
int party = 1;
int rank1 = 0;
int destination = 22;
I consulted the Console Manual and flipped through the pages, finding the chart for the destination values, muttering to myself.
"21 is Aurora Isles... and 22 is... the Graveyard!"
Smirking, I whispered, "Gotcha."
[Statheus' Perspective]
Later that night, I decided to take matters into my own hands. If that Wolver looked like a Snarbolax, maybe it was one of its offspring? That's got to be true. Time to get my revenge for all those years ago.
I still remembered when I was a child and in that forest, sitting there and waiting for my parents to come back.
The wind rustled the trees above me. It was a nice sunny day, even though the sun was artificial. It felt like we were back on Earth. I decided to flop down on the grass, cutting the grass with the small dagger my father had given me on my fourth birthday. I was always a quiet child. I didn't make too much noise and I wasn't particularly athletic or engaged in most things. I loved thinking and drawing though, both of which I was particularly good at. That reminded me! I had some paper and a pen for drawing, which I took out. I started to draw a Wolver cub, one of my favorite things, when I heard a feral growl. I looked around. There didn't seem to be anything there, so I continued my drawing. I was startled when the growl came closer and multiple Wolvers came out of the bushes, fangs bared. I dropped my drawing and started to back away. I didn't even think to grab my dagger. The Wolvers moved closer, and I looked around. Nobody. I screamed as loud as I could as they pounced. I rolled out of the way and ran as fast as I could. After a while, I managed to lose them. But the following days, more attacked. My parents didn't find me, nobody died. I slowly accumulated wounds until I fell unconscious. A Medic later picked me up and started taking care of me, and that was that. I grew up, I was a normal kid. But I hated beasts now. Even Wolver Cubs, which I loved before, were now my greatest enemies. I even tortured some for fun on one occasion, their tiny screams making me happier. But I suddenly drew away, horrified at my actions and letting the small animal go.
But how would I find the two? They could be far away from here, and that other guy is probably from Spiral HQ. He'd have a lot more resources to track them, and get them first, before I could kill them. I couldn't let that happen. I had to kill them, no matter what. Even if finding how they got out of Haven was about as easy as finding a needle in a haystack, I would still try. I remembered then a rumor I had heard, about a secret elevator. Last I heard, it was somewhere around the south side. Haven wasn't particularly large as one may think either. I spent that night looking for it, and I got some results. But it seems I didn't quite get there fast enough. And here I was so close...
I hope you've still taken into consideration that Vin's [ http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/CardboardPrison ] is death. But at this point, kill him off if you want.
Title says it all, thought kinda dissapointed, cause... Where's meh?
