- UNITY is currently recruiting members of both worlds PvE and PvP, that being said we are playing PvP more but we're still mainly PvE or so to say a hybrid guild. We're a guild made up of mature end-game players constantly stalking clockworks and giving Vanaduke a run for his money, can't forget we're always opening gates with pretty shadow lair keys. We currently have a solid Guild Lockdown team and we're working on a Blast network team. For the most part we're a real chillax guild likes to socialize and have fun.

I've always been a jack of trades kind of player. Since Spiral Knights is (supposed to be) balanced, you don't really "lose out" (that much) when switching from swords to bombs/guns because with enough practice you can establish an aggressive bomber play and AoE-kill groups faster than any swordsman, with guns you have the advantage of being a sniper distance from your targets in most cases you you have a better likelihood of survival and can kite better than a 'dedicated' swordsman, so all 3 have their benefits really, but I main swords because it's a fairly fun weapon to use, easy to master after a while and running a gun or two makes you a little more versatile in terms of range and damage output. That said, I do enjoy breaking the monotony of melee-combat by running Mad Bomber (for the lulz and OP-ness) and going bat-s**t crazy with Agni and Nitro for massive damage. Although I've yet to get any high tier Gunslinger gear because I mainly use guns as secondaries, but I did recently acquire a Storm Driver giving me a chance to test out the top-tier Alchemers, so maybe as I play with them more, I'll be more enticed to start crafting more/using more guns.

(Main Guilds) Knightmare, Guild, Team Dai Gurren, Perfect Storm, Echoes of Silence ~ (Recent Guilds) Exalt, The Core Coalition, Gilda Dei Ladri.

4). What kind of player are you? Do you excel more in PvE, are you just as good in PvP or are you simply one sided?
Due to a long-awaited patch/new content cycle on Three Rings' part I now run FSC on auto-pilot; I got a nice boost of CE when I started in the Early Access period racing to 3* and revelling in the wonderfulness of the game as it existed and the versatile profitability including selling Avengers and Arenas 8D. I started running FSC around mid April 2011 and running it that much really engraves it into your head x____x. Sometimes I actually get better results soloing it than with randoms/PUGs. I used to play PvP quite regularly but after Knightmare/Guild/TDG died out, I'd not really taken to PvP very kindly. I usually get 4 bars in Lockdown but the animations display about 0.5 - 1 second(s) after I've been killed so Spiral Knights is either lying to me about my 'real' connection or Lockdown is terribly broken. I've taken quite large breaks in rather irregular quantities and have only returned within the past few weeks after catching the Anniversary event and news of these "Battle Sprites". I did get a sneaky look at the Shield Bash ability due to a tech-savvy friend in "Credibility Problems", I still have a video of using "Shield Bash" for the few hours that it was live (and then quickly patched :/ )

5). What's your favorite video game of all time?
I simply can't say. It's have to be either Metal Gear Solid due to it's unique stealth gameplay and compelling storyline, Armored Core for it's insane customization and (very) tight-knit (and underpopulated :/ ) online multiplayer, or Shadow of the Colossus for it's rather unique gameplay, epic adventure and sheer sense of scale.

6). We currently are using Raidcall as a voicechat program, do you have a mic so you join in on all the fun? Never heard of or used Raidcall but I've used Mumble a fair bit and Teamspeak3 (briefly), so provided my mic quality isn't so terrible that I make everyone deaf, then I'm up for hopping on voice chat every now and then to see what's happening.

7). Tell us 3 Fun-facts about yourself? ( Optional. )
I once poured sherbet into some cheap fizzy drink and drink it resulting in the weirdest sugar rush I have ever experienced, made a rather ridiculous replica of Epic MealTime's "first video pizza" with a real life SK friend at 4 in the morning, oh yeah and that one time I had really bad memory and couldn't remember everything (ohwaitistillcan'trememberanythingmorethan2years agolol).

8). Why do you want to join Unity?
Since Knightmare and Guild died out I've been looking for a guild that has active members and experienced ones at that, I'm not used to the guilds that either consciously or unknowingly do the "we recruit full 5*, T3 players that still can't solo FSC but we don't take notice because it's just a guild and a game we play for fun". Fair enough, it is a game, but for some people it's more than that. When I started playing I got advice from the people that came straight out of the beta and played with the people that figured out everything on their own, before a lot of the "good" gear was common knowledge. All I wish to do is belong to a well-geared, active guild with a positive sense of pride in their achievements and reputation.

So..

Unity is recruiting again? I've been quite close in the past with (past) GMs and some members but due to incidents that happened.. They've been only playing in US time so I haven't been able to contact them very much anymore :/ Well I still remember that Bee gave me the offer to go straight to officer/GM (Due to friendlyness I guess) but I declined the offer back then since I still had my own guild to lead but my guild is officially dead now. So Im the last person who is really funding my guild atm and I guess I'm fine with that since it was the very first guild I have ever been in but I was also part of Unity.

Still I've been feeling quite lonely. I wonder if the offer is still valid... If yes then I might rethink about it, if not well then that's my own fault xD I really have trouble with deciding since I feel very loyal towards my own guild eventhough it died. I still remember how they all tried to convince me to join them (remembers the wall of Unity invitations in mailbox) xDDD

Well I don't know if they would still recruit me though. I myself am starting to be quite inactive and I guess they wouldn't want a semi-active player in their guild lol.

2. I love my swords, (Raw melee player mainly), fav is voltedge, DVS and Hammer.
3. I previously joined Omega Brohood (friend irl's guild), Finalway, A bunch of t2 LD guilds (Brick Squad, Ferocity, Celestial Vanguards, etc).
4. I usually toggle between a week or so of hardcore PvP and then one of mainly PvE. Mixed I guess :p
5. Starcraft. The Original and Brood War.

I've never actually learned how to properly use a flourish in LD.

Hey, I'm Carth. I'm a 5* knight who has completed FSC solo, all of the shadow lairs, and almost everything else. I recently re-joined the game after taking a year-long break and I'm looking for a group of people to play and chat with!

Onward to the application!

1. My IGN is Carthiah, same as my forum ID.

2. I prefer swords. I have three sets of swordsman armor, a complete set of weapons (DA, GF, BTB, Levi, Combuster, etc.), and several guns to complement them, as well as a Shivermist.

3. I held an officer position in Beyond Perfection for an extended period of time, as well as a veteran and officer positions in In the Jelly, for a slightly shorter time.

4. I am primarily a PVE player, although I enjoy Lockdown a lot. I haven't played any PVP in a long time though, so I'm rusty.

5. Favorite EVER? That's a big question. Probably TES4: Oblivion, although a lot of games are close.

6. I do have a mic and enjoy talking live with people, yeah. :D

7. I'm a university student. I like math and physics and scifi and fantasy and stuff. And I.. I dunno.. play spiral knights! That's fun.

8. Unity seems like a skilled guild with a good community. I need people to play with who are on my level. I'm kinda tired of getting guild requests from guilds which are 2* who need someone to help them.

I was in Active a long time ago. Then when Active disbanded I joined Unity. After sometime I was an Officer in Unity. Eventually I stopped playing and was kicked from the guild for inactivity. I've been back for a month and am enjoying some dungeon crawling.

Freezingcold is my In-Game-Name. ;) maybe you've heard of me. (unlikely)

I'm from Canada so I'd say I'm a US player.

3). What are your favorite weapons to use In-game? Examples Swords, Bombs or Guns.
Favorite sword is probably any brandish (elemental line) cause it's op.
Favorite bomb is probably Electron vortex, :) it's so helpful.
Favorite gun is valiance, because I enjoy the two hits + it's speed.

4). What guilds have you previously joined?
Revelation, Dark guardians, Climax, Rigorous, Ultra are ones that stay really well in my head.

5). What kind of player are you? Do you excel more in PvE (Player VS Enemy) or are you just as good in PvP (Player VS Player) or are you simply one?
I'm mostly one sided to PVP however, I'm not horrible at PvE. Still pretty bad though haha.

The current guild I was in; Climax had 'died'. I don't like to be guildless so I had to find another guild :). I feel Unity is a strong guild; PvE and PvP wise; so I'd like to join. This is also probably the first time I've ever applied to a guild haha.

I am a pure bomber. Which bomb i like to use depends on the situation. I like to use EV and DBB the most in FSC for example. Stats bombs I also enjoy to use. BAB and Shards are also fun in less intensive runs (and if not too disruptive).

Veteran in Shard Squad (which is also a fun guild).

Mostly PvE: Farming, helping out guildies on missions etc. In PvP I play as Guardian bomber with different stats bombs and a nitro.

I guess i have spent the most time in SK. Does that count as my favorite? I also enjoyed HL/HL2, TFC/TF2, Counterstrike, Modern Warfare, Diablo 2 and Oblivion a lot.

I am a Mac user with a wifi keyboard... sometimes my silly keyboard just disconnects, so i can only turn rounds and shield with my (wired) mouse and eventually die in the game.

Unity member Wrangler-Me convinced me to try to join Unity. I have done some runs with several Unity members and enjoyed the speed and smooth runs. I would also like join to a non-bombing guild where my bombing skills might be of a greater use (PvE and PvP).

well in short; i am a awesome player of PvE and PvP now a days i have started recording SL's(solo) vids ,recent days ago me and Metaknight tried to beat Vok's record of doing Vanaduke ,we did vana(till D29) in 16:23 but unfortunately the record was approx 15mins :|
