Initiate Protocol 13 (Roleplay Discussion Thread)

It has been 16 years since the Isorans lost sight of their goal to return home. It has been years since a hero has been born. Haven has tripled in size, and small towns and villages have be created. But the dangers have only worstened. The other half of the planet has been engulfed in a black dome of nothingness, something disconnected from reality. A dimension that has taken the planet. The Swarm. This is it's kingdom, and all who enter die minutes later by the Swarm's minions that protect it's mysterious Master.
The Return of Ur is upon us, a cult that has recruited many Knights into it. They take small villages in the night, burning a great horned beast into the ground to signify they have claimed the land. With each soul taken into their swords, the Great Dragon Asphodel is nearer and nearer to awakening....
The Core has awakened heroes within the new generation of Knights, and the Valkyrie protecting the Core have broken away from their slavery and gained individuality. Swords have been born from the Core's heart, and Valkyries have been given the task of placing the swords in hero hands. The swords are twice as powerful as the current strongest. Legendary 10* swords. They each have a power of their own, and personalities, yearning for Knights to wield them and give them the time of their lives in battle Once the task is done, Valkyries, Fallen or Divine, can choose their side.
Entities, coming in many forms, have exited the Core. They are the uncorrupted. They are ruled by no one. They are the Operators. They can only create, not destroy.
They can make anything, but only make it out of energy. It will look hologram-ish, but completely solid. They cannot make anything bigger than a truck. The energy is indestructable, and can only vanish if the Operator who made it lets it disappear. Creations are also incompatible with electricity. Operators are bound to Cradle, so they cannot destroy it. Operators can pick any side they want, and are all born with equal power. They have multiple powers, but only specialize in one.

Ha ha ha ha ha...
Mmm, it feels good to have all this power at my fingertips. Did I tell you that I slew the Master with my own hands? Are you surprised? Mhm, you should be. The poor sop was so enamored with me, he didn't even care. I almost pitied him. Almost.
Okay, it's about time I got serious about this story thing. The Master's last wish was that I write a story about my life after his death, and frankly, I amazed myself too much to refuse. The medium isn't all that great, though - stone walls are a pain to engrave.

Once the legendary Scissors Blade, now evolved to non-combat usage, where you use it to do MEDIC STUFF! Has a laser with it :P (Colour is choice of user, so I choose red.)
Guardian Helm 8* (Helmet)
A combat ready helmet, also has a visor for checking internal wounds.
Guardian Robe 8* (Armour)
A black robe, which enables user to turn invisible to the naked eye by wrapping it around self, requires user to be still. If user bumps into someone or something, a faint outline appears, if they get bumped once more, they instantly turn back un-invisible.
Jetpack 10* (Back)
Enables user to fly/glide for a few seconds.
P.S Raechal is in a coma..... Remember she was asleep where we left After Cradle? Well..... She's still in the coma, and Quexi didn't survive too.

After thinking for way too long on this, I've decided on the "mysterious past mercenary" type. Enjoy. Also, People are supposed to be OP in this RP, right?
Name: Zachariah.
Gender: Male.
Race: Spiral Knight
Age: 33
Appearance: for armor, Dark daylight slicker (8* shadow sun stuff), Venomous Snarbolax cap (again, 8* snarbolax cap), and no shield for some reason. For weapons, Star destroyer (9* supernova(no star wars reference implied)) and a Deadly Toxin Speedster. (10* dread venom striker).
Bio: He's a mercenary who loves puppies and rainbows, he enjoys giving to charity, hates killing, is very open with his life, and is totally unrelated in all ways to Chromo. Now take all of that and realize that it's all totally a lie, though not the exact opposite (for example, he's not Chromo's brother or cousin, as you might think because of the "unRELATED" part). You'll see in the story.
Specialty: His Deadly Toxin Speedster can make air blasts for some reason.

Here's an introduction.
Mute grabbed his gear, then headed for the Advanced Training Hall, which amazingly wasn't torn down, or broken. He entered, and set up his gear. He grabbed his Scissors Blade MK4, and faced a punching bag which resembled the Swarm. He started slowly, slashing, stabbing. His mind was was elsewhere, on Winter.
Topoyozada cried out in frustration, and Winter knelt next to him, rubbing his back to soothe him, "Hey, don't be mad! I know a lot of people with prothetics. Besides, I think people with prothetics are humble and shy, which is kinda hot."
Mute's eyes clouded with tears, and he angrily wiped them with his free arm. With a sudden burst of energy, he let go of his blade, drew back his fist, and swung.
The punching bag broke from it's stand, landing on the floor. Mute panted, angry at himself for letting his emotions get the better of him. He stored his gear, and went for a walk.
He found himself at the border of Swarm Territory. One step, and you were doomed. He wondered if he stepped on, will he be transported to Winter? He let his foot hover on top of the border, then let it fall.

That's a little dicey, since Winter's demeanor changed dramatically as she encountered more of the Swarm and had more medical emergencies to face. She transitioned from sexy & assertive (her natural self), to serious (after going with the party), to stressed (after having way too many patients). As long as you take that into account and don't go overboard on the flirting, go ahead with it.

I've decided to try out this roleplay! I have enough time anyway, and I am finding myself with not a lot to do. Even though I'm not particularly keen on roleplaying here, might as well get back into it. Have a mysterious girl + inexplicable amnesia combo! Well, sorta. It's mostly a continuation of someone you'll probably figure out.
Name: Alma
Gender: Female
Race: Wolver Hybrid
Age: Around 19, it's... hard to tell.
Appearance: Similar to this.
Has golden eyes as well as a wolf-like tail. Slim, athletic build. She has a digitigrade stance (back legs of canine animal), and also has an intricate tattoo of unknown origins on her left arm and neck, extending to just below her jawline. Wears a plain, wide-collared shirt and cargo shorts, found on her when she woke up.
Personality: She's a bit fierce, lashing back at even a passing remark. For the most part, she's a little irittable, but she gets depressed rather easily for some reason. However, she also can joke around at times.
Bio: Alma's past is largely unknown. Her first memories are waking up in a field just outside of the border to the Swarm's Domain, wearing nothing but a wide-collared shirt and a pair of simple cargo shorts, and her current appearance. There was only one piece of knowledge in her head: her name, Alma. Or so it seems. Unsure of what to do, she traveled to some nearby villages, but most drove her away due to her Wolver-like traits. She just wanders around now, unsure of what to do. Little by little, her memories seem to be coming back, but in tiny fragments.
Specialty: Enhanced vision, hearing, and smell. Sharp claws on each hand, and can run faster than the average human.

Gender: Considers himself male, although he is supposed to be androgynous.
Personality: Condescending and plain irritating, but he is a gentleman. Apparently, he's taken a liking to the Isoran social structure. He's formal, and usually likes to start up conversation at the most inappropiate times.
Appearance: A stone orb that floats lazily through the air. On it, a single glowing node pulsates with his speech. Unlike most Operators, who desire forms optimized for their specializations, Forma has made the art of forms his own specialization. Thus, he can create a holographic form of anything he wants, and can make his appearance in the likeness of anything.
Bio: As the Core was opened, an indefinite number of Operators came swarming out into Cradle. However, as they had no purpose, it was their job to find their own purpose, a feat surprisingly hard for the Operators. Forma was one of the Operators who had observed and directed a few of his fellow Operators to the Isoran and Swarm sides of the Planet, trying to help them find their potential used best.
When the flow of Operators began to slow down, Forma realized he didn't have his own purpose after directing them. So, he decided to take his own path, floating around to help whoever is in need.
Specialty: Formus specializes in creating extensions of himself, although he is a lousy flier, and a fragile piece of stone. Nevertheless, he makes a great architect and spy, if given the chance to prove himself.

Overpowered RPs are no place for me. Since the 'operators' at TIER FRIKKING 10(which is the omnipotent tier).
You know, it doesn't really make sense. If they're Gods, and they gain their power from the source of the core of a planet, wouldn't it be weird being more powerful that the source of which you gain your power? And in any case, I don't know how a planet's core can give one omnipotence. Perhaps it could give control over its form of energy, but omnipotence? This is a completely overpowered, unbalanced RP. You have just confirmed that, Quexi. Not that your RPing is bad or anything, but I just feel that this is a completely unbalanced, overpowered RP.

Oh please, all you need to have is a Nitronome and a Valiance to kill them.
Let them keep their shields up, but if they want to move, they're going to have to drop it. Which means you can trap them indefinitely in rubble, or you can play the waiting game and make a death-trap while they try to sit out the fight.
Since they cannot destroy/vandalize/deliberately modify Cradle, they're practically sitting ducks with their own creations. Not even a grain of sand will be moved for their convenience.
I'm also pretty sure there aren't enough bubble shields to be equal to the mass of a truck for everyone either...so Operators can lose something of value, if not their lives.

I just realized. If Quexi's character is an Operator, and Operators cannot destroy, then why does Quexi's character need weapons? Anyways, as stated from Quexi: The energy is indestructable, and can only vanish if the Operator who made it lets it disappear. But then again: They can only create, not destroy. If that is so, they cannot destroy any atoms. If they cannot destroy any atoms, they cannot do any real damage. If they cannot do any real damage, then, like you said, they are sitting ducks. If they are sitting ducks, they are easily defeated.

Clearing a few things up:
Operators cannot destroy the planet, as in destroying the atoms completely. What they CAN do is change structure, to bend the ground. They cannot add material which isn't there, which makes perfect sense since there's the Clockworks, so I imagine maybe....a half a mile of dirt? So if they're stuck under a pile of rubble, they can simply compact the dirt outwardly circular, creating(yeah, you guessed it!) a tunnel!
I'm thinking they can only bend so much mass (as much dirt as the mass of a truck) at once, I figured maybe an 8 minute cooldown? Since this is....frankly....an OP RP.
The new star gear practices in it's defense, so:
Defense against piercing=Generating a back-up shield
Defense against elemental=shroud of shadows
Defense against shadow=protective light
Defense against normal=depends
Spawning multiple creation objects(have to be smaller than a truck in total)=5
And Ultimaknightz, I said they came from the Core. I didn't say anything about their power coming from the Core. They were locked inside there for a reason. Together, gathered, they ARE the Core. (I figured the Swarm+Gremlins+Magnetized Planets couldn't have made EVERYTHING, eh?)

The Operators cannot attack. :P 'Operators are bound to Cradle'. Seems like their power comes from the core. If they're gathered, and they are the core, then wouldn't that mean that their energy is limited to that of perhaps, 1/8 of the core's? Just saying. I found a logical flaw in your argument, but it doesn't matter anyway, right? :P You proved your point, nevertheless.

Personality: He likes playing mind games with people, and can deduce things fairly easily. He does not at all like Operators, preferring to kill them instead of giving them chances to explain themselves. As he is extremely adept at arguing, he can prove his point very well and as such can reduce even trained lawyers to tears in mere seconds.
Bio: Nathaniel secretly had an affair with a fallen valkyrie, causing her to become pregnant with Nathan York. After Nathaniel sacrificed himself destroying the Master, his affinity for special powers was passed down unto Nathan York, who evidently, gained the ability to control time along with a natural affinity for darkness. The Great Spirit saw this, but instead of restricting his powers, he enhanced them, as he felt sorry for Nathaniel. Nathan heard about what his father had gone through, and sought to destroy the swarm once and for all with his powers. He still takes after his father in terms of looks, being able to attract even the prettiest of women for help.
Specialty: Time Control.
Powers: He has the ability to manipulate time. He has a bunch of other abilities, but I'll state a few here:
Time Reversal!-
When the opponent attacks him, if he activates this, he will stop and reverse time to the precise moment before the opponent hit him. As soon as time is restored, he uses one of his other attacks before the opponent can react.
Nox Chain-
Leaps into the air and casts out a chain of dark energy(which has a sharp blade at the end of it) that stabs the opponent, draining some of their life force, and pulls him/her towards him for a devastating slash.
Warp-
Using the Corridors of Darkness, he surrounds himself in a portal of darkness and transports himself instantaneously to a place of his choosing, though his heart will become more corrupted the more he uses this. The farther the place is from him, the more corrupted his heart will become.
Dark Blade-

A mythical sword that is said to be able to cut through anything, the ability to summon it said to only be passed down through bloodline. It glows an eerie dark aura all the time.

To answer your questions, Nathaniel and Tenebris both sacrificed themselves, but to no avail. Topoyozada, Quexi, Chromo, Arthur, Josiah (and any other characters) fled the destruction wrought by the Master, and either forgot or weren't strong enough to carry Winter with them.
As for my inactivity, my attentions were elsewhere. I've still been reading the forums actively; I just haven't been posting because I had nothing worthwhile to say.

I just thought of something.
We didn't HAVE problems, In RTC, because there were a lot of people, and they checked back often and posted a lot.
However. . . All of these forums have died out because of that reason. Nobody checking enough. Not enough reminders. Story not moving by fast enough.
Especially that last one.
Sure, there definitely were powerplays, but how can we get an active story, if the current event has no way for the current person to respond?

After sacrificing himself to no avail, the Commander's body was scavenged by the cult of Ur, and imbued with their dark magic. Thus risen, he lives to fight for the Return of Ur and the Great Dragon Asphodel. His skill in battle from his former life has carried into this one, and he has assumed the rank of "Executor". Upon one of his exploits he happened upon a wielder of the core sword "TBD", and after slaying the wielder, claimed the sword as his own.

He has his original powers of metal-shaping and telepathy, and now wields the power of "TBD" as well.

I hope everyone tries to stay active. The whole story of a roleplay depends on how everyone puts effort into their character. The only restriction here is powerplay and ruining Cradle.(As in trying to use some god ability to ruin it, thus ruining the roleplay.)

Oh and @Quexi Dude! I was like..... 'DON'T LET HIM IN! HE'S GOING TO BE INACTIVE!' But that's not one of the reasons. See After Cradle? We were left to the underdogs to keep playing, while the legendary hero just left. So please.... Nerf his character a little. Just looking at Nathan's intro, you can already see he's overpowered. Warping behind an enemy? Killing it in on hit? What in hell man? Seriously? I seriously think Nathan should be nerfed

Bio: Once upon a time, Winter was an elite battlefield medic in the Spiral Medical Squadrons, tasked with rescuing stranded knights in the deepest depths of the Clockworks. She was the best of their kind, and thanks to the work of an unknown agent, developed teleforce skills to further enhance her medical abilities.
During the Crisis, she traveled with several other knights into the Core to defeat the Master and return the Core to its purified state. They failed miserably, and in their haste to escape, they callously left her behind. The Swarm, seeing her teleforce potential, absorbed her and prepared her to be one of their leaders.
Curiously, the Master ceased to exist after that. Coincidence?
