Hi there,
I just wanted a list of players who you think that they're one of the best in ld. Now I don't mean players who only are getting high damage numbers but who are also flexible and can play with other classes like guardian and recon. Players who also are able to get high cap/def numbers and protect/save/help out their team mates.
I'm asking you to make these lists for my own interest and I'm making a record of players of the PvP and PvE world. So please help me out and give out your vote.
Extra note: please dont post personla attacks regarding other players, thank you :)

I laughed when I saw Feller. Feller isn't good in my opinion.

He may get high damage, but he gets like zero captures and defends most times. The max defends I saw him ever get was one so he doesn't put that much effort into his heavy damage.

People are going to say "Spold! CAPTURES AREN'T MORE IMPORTANT THAN DAMAGE FOR THE LAST TIME!", and I didn't even say that. I also see irony in saying that because it's like saying damage is more important than captures, and you're thinking that something is better than the other.

Captures and damage are equal, and they both make you a good player, but damaging for the heck of it really isn't legitimate.

I'm not good..

I lack of aim but still I'm AT free.. I usually play with one bar latency.. I use UV less ancient even when my sweet skolva have 3 maxed UVs

I'm dumb, bad and I really don't give a single fF€&@€&... At least I aim myself.

The ones who get 5k damage aiming with their own hands without feelings the NEED of turn on AT.

I didn't say anything about auto target. This has nothing to do about auto target. Just because you think auto target is sucky, that doesn't mean I think so as well.

You're just giving completely irrelevant responses.

Your response was purposeless because I said nothing at all about auto target, and I don't even act like auto target exists. Also if you think you're so bad, you shouldn't feel so fierce about it. It was all pointless.

The list should be renamed "Skolver and Gunner Clones with Over Powered Unique Variants That Dont Have Full Inspect On"

Note: It's very easy to swing Gran Fausts/Hammers, spam Polarises, and poke with Barbs as they require almost no aim or skill. Everyone can do those, it's just that the people on this list are more accustomed to using them. The only one in this list I can honestly say is skilled is Blueflood as he doesnt rely on the weapons above in order to dominate. This list is flawed.

lol, Swing Gran Fausts, Hammers, Flourishes and Polaris. You see, if you are smart enough you will use this weapons because they are the best ones you could use. Its like Counter-Strike, Most people use AK-47 or M4A1 and they use AWP over Scout because those are the best and easiest weapons to use. You wont be running around with a Leviathan Blade killing people on lockdown, because brandish is straight up better. You dont see people running around with Triglavs because Avenger/Faust is straight up better. Blueflood is the only one ive seen doing Triglav.

Do you really want me to run around using a freaking dead venom striker? Come on that thing sucks

Also a lot of people on this list use Sentenza/Valiance/Alchemers so if you dont know what are you talking about then dont talk.

I hope some day people understand this.

That's what people don't get, the highly skilled players don't use all of this crap to be good, they use it to be the best they can. Also, I've seen Polarispam that's cringe-worthy and GF combo spammers who I can take down in proto, it's not just the gear

I call idiots upon people who still think that LD is dominated by gear, shame on you. You know that there are people who plays with Proto and still pass 20k damage barrier in LD? Do you know that there are several players that has no asi and still dominates other players? Do you know that nearly ANY weapon, if used correctly, can pwn in LD? No you don't, because you are a tiny whiner, that moans about other people having UVs and not working himself for it.

The only thing that can be dominant in LD is connection, other than that, shut up.

It really depends on what kind of "best player" in LD your looking for. Honestly their could be more people that is better at going for damage than going for defends or capturing bases.

@Light I disagree. They use the best weapons with the best uvs to be the best they can. Adding on to what Canozo said. Using the best weapons to be the best you can. Then showing off damage number In public doesn't make you the best. Where's the skill in that?

@Canozo you have a great point on why people don't use suckish weapons as the ones you just mentoned. The problem is the game designers made those weapons too unbalanced to be used in lockdown.

@Dragneel Yes I agree. Other weapons could pwn in lockdown if used right. But that's a big IF they know how to use them right. I've seen in tier two LD that most players start out with striker then when they get to tier 3 switching to flourish. Why? Because:

* many people use it
*other people probably told them too
*they copied what other people used
* they get killed by a flourish and realized its the best weapon for LD
* they don't practice wit h the weapon

Vladimir (forgot his full name) uses pulsar/VT but not to get damage he uses it to stall people while capturing bases which I find a really useful technique usually gets 20+ captures in t2 LD

Exactly. Gran Faust / DA, Hammer, Polaris, Valiance, Skolver Set and Flourish/Barb are the easiest gear and require no skill. Thats like calling yourself a "pro" biker when you use training wheels on your bike. I used to be a Skolver Clone long time ago and easily do 20k + damage regularly without even trying just spamming faust swings and valiance shots, not challenging at all. You actually need to be skilled in order to dominate with weapons like Dread Venom, Levi Blade and Triglav. Sadly there are only very few people (true pros) that pawn using them, while the rest are just "pro" bikers using training wheels. Doing 30k damage + 2 caps is not as impressive as doing like 12k damage + 8 caps using only Dread Venom, Levi, Fov, etc.

Some of you are missing the point. Yes it is true that people would readily prefer Final Flourish to a DVS in Lockdown. Why? This is because DVS is very difficult to maneuver unlike Final Flourish or other clone gear, where it is straightforward and simple.

Here's the point many fail to understand: The mere fact that certain people can dominate using non-clone gear says a LOT. For one, it means that they have a good understanding of the difficult/unusual mechanics of their chosen non-clone gear. For clone gear....the mechanics are very simple and the learning curve extremely low, so it will only take a few days (unless youre stupid where you need more) for one to master everything there is to know about swinging a gran faust, spamming a polaris, etc. For another, people using non-clone gear have to put in more effort and timing in order to kill someone whereas with clone gear, all you have to do is know how to click a mouse or press keyboard keys. Lastly, it means clones are too reliant on only a specific set of gear and are afraid to try out non-clone loadouts because they know they would suddenly turn from "pro" to noob lol. Picture this: if someone is able to dominate using hard gear like DVS, FoV, Magnus, etc...then just imagine how that someone would be like if he used the easy clone gear!

Metaphorically speaking, it is really easy for someone who uses training wheels on his bike to call himself a "pro" biker. Take off the training wheels and lets see if you guys are as good as you believe yourself to be. But if not, its ok. We all know that frightening feeling when a kid takes off the training wheels from his bike for the first time :)

You all talk about how "easy this" and "easy that"

But... Have you ever tried to use FF first swing while you dance without Aimbot??
Or throw a GF double swing with AT OFF??
maybe a valiance spam while you dance without Aimbot??
Maybe a first swing dance with Brandish line?? (Quite sure you sell it at vendor after one match without Aimbot).

Just keep riding with training wheels...

Huntr is, hands down, one of the best players to enter LD. You know why? He's not a swordsman striker in Lockdown, he is different, and is someone I never want to fight against. Someone who can single-handedly blockade half of the map in a GVG game, deserves their name to be listed. Polaris spam him? No, he will dodge it. Antigua? No, he'll get out of the range of it. It will take 2,3, hell, even 4 people to take him down with gun spam. Unless you have resist, but that's besides the point.

Usually in GVG, other teams get so tired of fighting against him they completely ignore him and send everyone elsewhere, you can't say he's not a good player, because that's 100% false. Some of those teams are very well known and highly respected LD squads.

And you call him a "bomb spammer," please... one of the more pathetic things I've seen on these stupid forums. The only way to stay alive in Lockdown as a bomber is to have a bomb around you so that allows you to be able to plant more bombs. While having a (status shield) around you, preventing swordsman to get hits off. Go buy a bomber set, and let me know when you want to sell it all due to being pile driven by other players who know what they're doing.

He knows how to controll his invencibility frames really well, how to dodge a billion polaris+antigua+blitz+whateverthehellyoureshooting shots and hes got that Resistance sets.

3. Resistance sets. Exactly. All about those Pierce/Shock/Stun Max overpowered variants. Couple that with ctr vh variants...do I hear pay to win? :D
