I am sad that nobody mentioned the Ancient Plate Bomber Zeddy. His techniques in GvG were effective as Huntr's bombing skills on the US side, ask people on EU about it. I am also surprised that nobody mentioned Plebbyy, she is easily better than most of the people mentioned here. Levitch, Meida, Forestmacedonia, Coldness, Saruyop, Dutch-Oven, Kyrb all deserve a mentioning. Oh well... US gets the spotlight most of the time. :P

Ah, how quickly this thread devolves into elitism and idiocy.

"Bomb spamming," you cry. Well gee, what else are we supposed to do? You're like the guys on TF2 that whine about Pyros that only use their flamethrower; granted, the shotgun is good for some situations, but most of the time what else are Pyros gonna use? Same thing with Spiral Knights bombers. We're BOMBERS. What else are we gonna use?

And "Eur is for noobs?" So is that dumb and racist, or just dumb? Guys in Europe can't help that they get a better connection from their server.

PvE is for noobs, too, eh Feller? Then prove it, o unstoppable MLG elite epic pro. Give us a video of you completely DAWMINATING a Shadow Lair, 'cause why can't you? PvE is for noobs and you have so much money 1800 CE is nothing.

...Okay, rant over. Now for a different rant! Uncommon gear. Spiral Knights IS an RPG, but it's an action RPG. It's possible to win with uncommon choices like the Troika lines and the Fang of Vog; even though they're difficult to use, they have some aspect of themselves that sets them apart from other weapons. The Troika lines have one heck of a charge attack; the point is concentrated to one area, but boy does it have some knockback, and combined with Voltaic Tempest, it can bypass invincibility frames during a Shock spasm and dish out some major hurt. The Vortex lines aren't often seen, but combined with another guy's charge attack, they can cause insane damage! It's all about strategizing and cooperating, something sadly unseen in Lockdown.

Another thing. Invincibility frames. They outright break weapons like the Dread Venom Striker, Blitz Needle, and Dark Retribution within Lockdown. For those not in the know, every knight, upon being hit by anything, is invincible for a tiny amount of time, enough to negate a Dread Venom Striker's second attack, or most of a Blitz Needle charge. A simple fix would be to set such weapons not to trigger invincibility frames; however, this might not be so simple, or it might have other repercussions (those poor Guardians). Perhaps Guardians can retain their invincibility frames while shielded?

Other weapons, such as the Shard Bombs and Winmillion, simply are not balanced for Lockdown at all, and some, like the Heavy Deconstructor, are made specifically for a PvE purpose and thus end up inferior in PvP. (Not that the Deconstructor line doesn't need some love anyway, but whatever.)

Finally, the point of the topic. I suppose I don't know any that haven't already been mentioned. I just posted because "Bomb Spamming" ticked me off.

1. Buy a volcanic demo set and bombs. gives you ctrmax, and I will cut you up in LD.

Huntr is one of a kind. not a single bomber I've met can dodge as well as him. not only can he dodge, but he uses his shield to protect teammates, and he walks into enemy bomber's bombs, and uses his shield for invincibility frames, delaying the cap. sometimes (like last night gvg) he can even destroy an entire team, including the bomber. No other bomber can do that.

Apart from bombing, he's amazing with his flourish, as a guardian. I have only met a few people who excel at swords while using guardian (thrillhaus not being on the list because he uses valiance alot, which aren't swords, although he's really good).

You see? Huntr is on the list of good guardians. and he doesn't even use sword bonus gear.

2. This idiotic comment. What are you trying to say? that I should use irregular movements and walk into his bombs and die? or maybe I should just sit down and say "/p BOMB SPAMMER NOOB AA UV PATHETIC"? the only way to take him out is with guns, and he's mastered how to dodge guns. how hard is it to understand?

3. Also, bomb spamming. Please, define spam. Do you even play lockdown? How else should a person bomb? Put a venom veiler, and then sit their for 20 seconds while getting hit, and then try to place another one?

Okay lets take this to using guns, or swords. Are you supposed to shoot/slash once, and then run around for 30 seconds, and then do another strike to prove you're not "spamming"? if that's what you think we should do, I recommend you to take your HEAD OUT OF YOUR OWN RECTUM.

4. You clearly haven't played GvG against good guilds. Try playing against Jempire, or Unity, or Echo of Silence, or any other guild that has a good PvP team. You will get violated with polaris, valiance, Ap/sentenza, maybe even a catalyser. to be honest, I haven't ever heard of you. if you're such a good bomber, why does nobody know you? From that, I can tell that I can probably take you on with only a AUTOGUN.

5. He's saying, huntr is so good that nobody wants to play against him. really. nobody can kill him 1v1 within 5 minutes. if he has backup, it will probably take an entire TEAM to take him and his partner down. You, on the other hand can be taken 0v1 cause you'll run into fire and die.

@Utrex if that damage was made using snarble barb + sealed sword + pulsar + hammer then im sorry, it doesnt impress anyone. The 14k damage only means you kept swinging your sealed sword / hammer which everyone knows is super easy. But 14k with something like an Arc Razor, Khorovod or a Cutter...now THATS impressive, and I highly doubt youre even capable of doing so. Only very elite few are.

I don't really like it when people ask for the best lockdown players, it doesn't feel right in a team game. Maybe one day when GvG meta has evolved past 10 guilds competing for top spot, we'll say which team is the best?

Xhaba is best Dusker Clone in T3. Ranking is worst topic in SK forums. Graveyard is best place for bull!@#$.

The thing with huntr is that he DOES have RLY good UVs. That's not to say that he knows how to use them exceptionally well, though. I still believe huntr is very skilled and knows a lot about the mechanics of the game, but I seriously doubt he'd be able to pull it all off without his VH CTR UVs and status resistances. Just my opinion.

I have a lotta respect for all posts here, but i find it strange that there's only one person that mentions Ezho in this thread so far. It's hard to believe for anyone that watches enough LD matches, that they pass on Ezho's talent. He's no fluke in my humble opinion. So am i missing something here that doesn't give him a passing grade? :/

P.S - @Luv - The only reason people are passing on Ezho is probably because his playstyle involves backing up and gunning more than swording and capping. His ability to kill in a 1v1 or even 2v1 is great but the problem is he gives up actually trying to win the game. He used to be great with a flourish and all but I guess he simply gave up that sword. Still I do see what you mean, he just needs a little extra push.

Most people that are on any list of best ld player are just usual clones with expensive stuffs, doing the same things everyone does. Heres the people i think are truly deserve respect as they can dominate even with no expensive stuffs and not being a clone.
