To start off i would like to say that the spur is one of my favorite weapons because it is both unique and fun to use.
But there is a problem with a weapon like the Spur.
It's attacks are inconceivably horrible as most of them do not even hit what is in front of your character when attacking. Not to mention that the Spur's Charge Attack has been broken for the longest time ever, when shielding after a charge attack like you might do with a brandish or any other type of weapon with a projectile attack as a charge, the projectile of the spur is hindered and reduced to nothing. This makes it to where you have to make yourself vulnerable to attacks while trying to use the charge attack.
Yet these "bugs" still remain in the game, its almost like everyone's "Stun Problem" that used to exist, it is pretty much broken.

As i am not the greatest at writing things out and making them great or moving, i have some link on short discussions and even one with a video that shows the Spur NOT working.

^ This link is to a bug report where a player has noted the glitch/ bug we all know of, the charge attack.
I don't bring this link up mostly because of the fact they said the charge attack didn't work, but because another player had hope for it to be fixed in a patch or have plans for it to be fixed.
While on the other hand another player flat out refers to the Spur as a useless and crappy weapon that no one uses. (Lies~!)
This is obviously not something that i would want new players to find when researching weaponry or the Spur itself, as it is still a fun weapon.

^ This link is a person asking whether or not they should get a spur and use it or not, there are many people that actually give it some good backing but at the same time it should be noted that they do stress allot of problems with the sword.
Darkbrady even notes that while the old RSS was a 4* worth getting this weapon is not so much in the same respect, it is a minimal damage output weapon with many bugs and a horrid charge attack and a hard to handle 4* am i a gun or am i a sword dodge you monsters dodge aspect, while something like the old RSS was a spectacular weapon with good damage a certain need for skill and an all around good investment. (May not be at all what he said or may have meant but could have been altered by me obviously).
Not to mention that it is again pointed out this weapon has not so great damage.

^ This link was really a treasure trove. As this one had a video downright showing how the spur does not work. And that the attack is actualy hidden within yourself and not even in the sword, meening you might as well try to hug the person your attacking...
v Video link.

^ A modest post on giving the Spur a power up~!

Now onto the next part,

So i have kind of skimmed and repeated the biggest problems with this sword and now i feel like i should be giving you an answer on how to fix it.

Well sit tight and put some ear muffs on because this might be horrid...

So as im thinking i feel the swords lovely attack (with those nice scythely affects) could actually be more useful, in a way where those schythely animations do damage, it shouldn't be giant but it could at least do something maby 5-12 damage with a limit of 3 being able to hit, but this would be an added affect to the swing of the sword where the bulk of the damage is.

Then of course the Charge needs to be fixed, that or all other weapons charges should be disrupted by your shield, imagine that, all those brandishes that get charged then shield blocked. Ooouhh yummy~!

And if anything just fix the attack honestly im tired of swinging at a monster or player and seeing it connect and hit but it actually doesnt, like the video shows...

And for the 4* version, man that dodge how ever can we fix it...

I am open to help with this thread as i do believe it is one of the major problems with weapons in the game, any suggestion to help this thread would also be greatly appreciated. Finding more links to this is one of the things i plan to do to really get this out there.

Feedback is much appreciated even if its just something that says, Yay~! +1 for fixing the groovy weirdo wunder weapon~!

Some things

So... You want the Spur to be a Cutter. Ok.

As for that video, I will have to do some tests tomorrow, but I do not recall anything like that happening with my Arc. The hits tend to, well, hit. The things it shows they do. So not sure about that.

Other than that, +1 to the total redesign with the Bezerker mode, and if we can't have that then +1 to fixing the charge even if it means sacrificing the rotation.

Me thinks

Well the spur line lacks in terms of raw power and specific damage/status but it's godlike in terms of utility.
Let's just say the pro's shall we ?
Nearly fast as the flourish line.
With an hitbox almost comparable to the "slow" swords.
Number one on movement while attacking. (yes a full combo have more movement even than WRH)
True that you can shield cancel the projectile but it also have a 360° attack not cancelled, also is the fastest charge attack to be canceled this way (pretty much like a one-hit Levi charge shield cancellable).

what that weapon needs is just a 5* version, ...... that's uh pretty much it.

ITS FINE JEEUSEUSESUEUEYUSAEUIYIEWUYAID

It doesn't even need a 5 star version, it is a UTILITY weapon. The whole point of the winmillion was so pure swordsmen could have a ranged weapon for switches and secrets, nothing else. Yes it can work in combat, yes it works well and has its advantages but no, it was not intedned for that, keep it how it is. All we should do IF ANY THING is increase the range of the projectiles, the cancel out of the charge is a good thing, it lets you back out of the attack if you are going to get hit early so you don't take any damage. The shots causing enemies to shield is a good thing, it makes them stop were they are allowing you to back up a bit or make them do a stupid dash back.

And there they Go~!

Starting off, some of my points have been made mute or have been fixed since I've last used this weapon, that or it could have been of my own fault. But there are some things that do hold up in light just to give off a dim reflection.

As for that video, I will have to do some tests tomorrow, but I do not recall anything like that happening with my Arc. The hits tend to, well, hit. The things it shows they do. So not sure about that.

This as far as I've messed around with my Arc as well has had some good and bad influences, one i just got a new comp a week ago and it has finally come in so now im able to play this game to a better full~! While i have found that my first attack does connect with most things, the secondary attack has not hit its mark as often though the third hit does. So maby it has been partially fixed, but i still feel it could use a check-up.

So... You want the Spur to be a Cutter. Ok.

Not technically, i want the spur to have a better attack, the swing as it is seems fine but the amount of damage and the way it deal damage doesn't feel as smooth, there is always this feeling that it should do more damage due to the Affects. Whether it is something like i suggested or an extra ump of attack i still feel the Affects either don't help and get in the way or need to be given a purpose.

@Atholl

I don't believe that it really needs a 5* version, more that it needs to have some more umph, sure its fast and versatile but when it strikes it really leaves allot to be desired.

@Batabii

I have both the Winmillion and Arc Razor, i find myself using the Arc more often because it doesn't have the bullet effect. Not to mention I also find it pretty useful in Ld, though even there it could use some better attack.

Huh? If you're don't like the bullet effect, what's the whole point of that line?
