As soon as the dark figure flew through the window, I pulled out my com-link. "Attack." A simple word caused the heinous amount of anarchy that occurred next. Triumvirate descended upon Diablo's mansion in no time, only ten were needed. I grinned, if they thought they could easily fight their way out of this they were gravely mistaken. With Damian occupied elsewhere, Topo running from enforcement, Gwen just recovering, and the Finder's sudden leave I laughed to myself how easily they would be overwhelmed. I silently scouted out the rest of the area, Damian was probably going after Diablo right now.
Return to Cradle: Origins (roleplay story)
Kirito
I scowl to myself and continue searching the massive mansion for Gwen and Seatus. The place is so damn HUGE! How the hell does Diablo find his way around here?!
Suddenly, out of the corner of my eye, I spot Seatus and Top. My eyes widen in surprise at the sight of an injured Gwen and I run over to them. "Yo, Seatus." He nods in reply. My gaze drifts to Top, and I notice a faint smudge of lipstick on his cheek. I glance back at Gwen, then give Top a glare. Could they have... No.
Besides... Top has just become the most wanted man on Isora, so... I catch Top giving Xindao and I nervous glances. His eyes widen at the sight of my smirk and he yelps, "I'm..... I'm a criminal? Kidnapping?"
He shuddered. "No... No one's going to arrest me! No one!" He breaks a nearby window and leaps out. I scowl. He couldn't possibly survive a fall like that.
I look out the window and spot the beast that kidnapped Seatus hurdling towards Top.
I scowl briefly before glancing at Gwen. At once, my expression of irritation faded away. Seatus rocketed back towards me and stared at the passed out Gwen.
"What are you looking at?"
With that, Gwen yawned and slowly sat up. "Are we still in Diablo's mansion?
---------
Astraea
I sigh with relief and cry, "Hallelujah!" as Damian blasts away the wall and walks in arrogantly. Diablo gives me a short glare before turning to Damian as he says, "Damian York, at your service."
Diablo's eyes flare with rage. He sneers and replies, "A VERY upset Diavolo Sintaris Valentine, President and CEO of Energy Crafters Incorporated, at my own service! Will you please get out before I really lose my temper?" A massive blade appears in Diablo's hands, yet he manages to heave it in one hand as easily as one would lift a feather.
"This is your last chance to stay alive, Damian. Get out."
I spit at Diablo. "Who are you to order anyone around?"
____
Edit coming soon. I'll finish this later
My father raised his sword, and grinned, "To kill you, of course."
I yelped, and began to back away. I drew my own sword, then said, "I don't want to kill you, father."
He grinned, "But I do." He swung, and I parried. He was old, not as strong, but he was still the better swordsman. He kicked me, and sent me tumbling down the stairs, and into the basement. He put his foot on my throat, and sword to my neck. "Goodbye." He swung, and dissipated suddenly.
I stood up, looking for him everywhere. Nowhere in sight. I raced out the door, unnerved. Then I noticed a small black figure racing down the slope. Then a few small figures. I zoomed in with my binoculars, then saw the unmistakable Morai patch. I immediately turn on my comns, and yell into Gwen's end, "Morai! Counting dozens. Coming in! Hold your ground, I'm coming right now!" After all, I was still employed by Gwen.
I stand as I hear multiple people entering the building. They don't take into consideration: I'm an army of one.
I transform into my Snarbolock form, my tail branching out with equipped thorns. I'll give them a choice. After that...
Hell.
(OOC: When Seatus said "Hell," I thought of this. xD)
Gwen got an emergency comm from Topo. "Morai are coming in by the dozens! I'm coming over, stay put!" Gwen's heart sank, and she rushed to the window to see for herself. An energy bolt whizzed past, singing a lock of her hair. She ducked behind the window and searched for a weapon. She turned a corner and bumped into someone.
He was the strangest creature she'd ever seen. He stood about two meters tall, and was best described as an intelligent-looking bird-man. He was a member of the Owlite Tribe, a reclusive, highly-advanced civilization located far to the south. What was he doing here?
He bowed low and removed his hood, and spoke in elegant Isoran (the international language, predominantly spoken by Morai), "Hello, Gwenyvier. What are you doing here, in Diavolo's mansion?" Gwen tilted her head and quipped, "I was about to ask you the same question." The owlite chuckled and replied, "I was kidnapped and coerced to work on his despicable Crystalizer project as the elemental adviser. You?" Gwen sighed and said, "I was kidnapped as well. I think he wanted to marry me off to a wealthy family so he could benefit."
The owlite bowed his head. "It would have been a great shame had he been successful." He held out his hand in greeting. "My name is Gray Feather." Gwen took his hand and shook it. "Pleasure to meet you, Gray Feather."
I appear behind Gwen, a respective two meters away while she greeted her friend. "Gwen, I think this might suit you well." I launch a thorn, stabbing into the ground beside her. "Try it out..." I say. I appear next to the others. "Arm yourselves." Is all I need to say before lining the wall with four thorns. "They'll make excellent swords. They are longer-ranged than you think. Charge them, and they will expell thorns. Prepare yourselves. They are closing in...."
Gray Feather scoffs at the blade. "Thorns? Really? You're both angel-folk, and you resort to such...inelegant weaponry? My dear Gwenyvier, have you never learned to snap a firebolt?" Gwen blushed and looked at her feet. "No," she replied shyly. Gray Feather lifted up her head by her chin. "Raise your head, girl. Are you not the queen?" She shook her head. "No, Astraea is the queen now." The owlite sighed and snapped a firebolt. "It's easy. Do a snap weave." Gwen sheathed Seatus's thorn and tried it. She got a small burst of fire, but no firebolt. "It's not working, Gray." But the bird was patient with her. "It's not enough to snap it into existence. You need to telekinetically hold it." Gwen shook her head again. "I don't know how to perform telekinesis."
The Morai had infiltrated the mansion. Gray Feather said, "The Morai are upon us. Come!" He summoned a forcefield at the door to hold off the Morai, then fireblasted a hole in the wall. He took Gwen by the arm, summoned his vast wings, and swung her onto his back as he jumped out of the hole.
As they glided, Gwen asked him, "Where are we going, Gray Feather?"
"To my home. You need a safe place to learn the weaving arts."
I stare at the Morai as they rush us. If guards, hired by Diablo himself, can't stop me, how will they stop me?
They made their choice when the showed violence. I am their consequence. I whip my tail, slamming two against the wall, enough to ring through their heads, helmets or none. I send a volley of arrows toward another, piercing his skin and nailing him into the wall behind. I form a defense, blocking the window and two meters ahead of me with a teleforce shield, giving us about seven meters to walk about and the room we escaped from. I pull out two thorns from my tail, and dual-wield them into an X form. They barb themselves, as my coat turns shorter, and I, more lean. "Good trick for my combat style..." I grin through beastly teeth. "Your guys' turn, I don't want to have all the fun." I look at Kirito. "Gwen's safe, I sensed her leaving the premises along with something else."
I sighed in frustration, the snarbolax had run through some of the Mora's most elite agents. Figures. The Morai were known for brute strength and swarm tactics. Time to see how well it worked. "I don't care who or what it takes, I want The Snarbolax's head on my desk!" I hissed angrily onto the com-link. The rest of the forces in the area converged on the mansion, and judging by the masses now coming down the slope, I'd say it was a good 4 dozen. But just as I was prepared to join the fray, I noticed fleeing figures, Gwen....with one of those blasted Owlites. "Not while I'm breathing..." I thought manically. Gwen had been a royal pain in my side for a while, payback time. Ensuring I got a running start, I flew higher then the two figures, then dropped. I landed with devastating force onto the back of the owilite. 5 shots from the destroyer later, he was falling straight to the ground looking much greener then usual. I then turned to Gwen. "Going somewhere?" I asked my voice a mix of malice, hate, and glee.
I felt the rest of the forces enter the mansion. I was now up against...fifty-five. I need the exercise.
I run straight out of the teleforce bubble, and find the first group of seven. My eyes glow redder, and my fur almost looks a gray-red from the amount of red it was radiating. "Son of Massacre," I say softly. "Mothered by Murder and Fathered by Death. Meet your fate." I jump overhead. No more mercy. Bloodlust kicks in, and I expell two thorns into an agent's throat. I kick off of him and land three meters away, and dash towards the five. I lock blades, and quickly disarm and pin the defender to the wall. I am cut across the back, and swing my thorn-edged arms, decapitating the attacker. I am shot by a Destroyer, and I grin wildly at the one who tried the attack, I grab him and beat him while the other tries to cut through my back. I conjure the poison within me, and move it to one specific place, a thorn suddenly turns green, and I launch it into my victim's head. I rise and turn to the other attacker. By now I am bleeding across my fur, but that won't stop me. I shove my claw into his heart, and he falls down and passes out from shock. I cover the cuts in teleforce, stopping the bleeding. I will fight ten at a time. No one succeeds in the Hunt of a Snarbolock.
I run to a group, quickly count ten, and create a teleforce bubble to keep out any cheaters of the game. These people want to kill me. Like hell I'm going to let them succeed, numbers don't matter to me....I go to the first to, flipping gracefully and hand-standing on their heads. Before the others have a chance to pull a trigger on me, I smash the twos' heads in and speed off, instantly behind the eight trying to kill me. I shove my fists forward, and I send one flying at the teleforce bubble. I speed towards him, receiving a cut on the arm as I do. I twirl, and decapitate the one who landed on the bubble. I receive another shot, but duck and send a thorn flying into the neck of an agent, and get grazed by a bullet. I see an electrocuted wire whizz towards me, and dodge, severing the line. I jump in the air again, and see six left. A sword cuts deep into my shoulder, and I use the sword to grab on to, shoving my clawed foot into the offender's face, then quickly jumping off. Five. A puddle has formed on the ground, my blood and the victims'. I do a leg-sweep, knocking one down, and I shoot a thorn into his heart. Four. I shove a thorn into twos' heads, and they fall down. Two. I plunge through the floor, grabbing onto the ledge it creates, swing upwards, and plunge up behind them, crouching and spraying thorns into their faces. I teleforce my wounds, feeling the affects of blood loss, and look at the next ten waiting. I will need a small rest is all....
((Sorry Gzilla, but if they want to kill Seatus, they're going to have to not die first. And if there are that many enemies, they're bound to turn into cannon fodder, but it's like fighting a whole bunch of jellies: Weak, but together a threat. And I did explain each death, so I think it's fair. I just donlt kniw what Kirito's going to do. I'm excited to find out...))
"Going somewhere?" Axis asked wickedly. Gwen's eyes widened in surprise, but she recovered her wits and replied, "No, you are." She promptly pushed him off the Owlite, sending him tumbling to the ground. But the Owlite was unable to recover his flight path from all these disturbances, and crash-landed to the ground as well. No sooner had he landed than Gwen marched up to Axis and slapped him across the face.
Twice.
"Shame on you, Axis! Fie for shame! You have no business assaulting a family member and former Queen. What the heck were you thinking?" Gray Feather's face paled as he watched the scene unfold, and quickly snapped a firebolt to prepare for Gwen's defense.
*Seatus mentioned Kirito in the last post*
*GWEN PAY ATTENTION! XD*
I open my eyes, my wounds closed. I had made the teleforce bubble only big enough to fit myself, so as to prevent strain. I look at the next ten. Let's see. I've killed about....twenty total, and that means there are...thirty five left. Let's do this. I make another bubble, and am instantly greeted with open fire. I speed out of the bullets' ways, and stop a single bullet in midair. I turn it, and it fires directly into an attacker's head, full on speed. I swing one arm, and three thorns fly out, stabbing someone's legs down. I finish them with a slice at the neck. Before the attacker's know I'm here, I jump on the ceiling, clawing my feet into it. I'd snagged the guy's gun. Idiots.
I shoot a man down. Seven left. The gun was surprisingly empty, and I heave it straight into a guy's face, brute strength cutting through any helmet and right through the skull. Six. Multiple bullet wounds along my upper body. I stagger, shoving a thorn up a man's chin and pushing his limp body to the ground. Five. I stop staggering, and I glow bright. I speed to two, withdraw two thorns after receiving a left hook, and scissor their heads. Three. I shove my two hands down twos' throats, and expell a bunch of thorns from my hands. One.
I walk over. By now he's shaking. I raise my right fist. "You wanted this life. Remember the Consequence." I say. I swing my fist, and he crumples to the ground...and I do too, the bubble closing in on me once more for protection.......everything goes dark.
Thirty lives.
I just broke into a laugh. "You have no idea how much I DESPISE you." I said, my laugh coming back to being serious. "All of my life, I was overshadowed by you, even my own parents looked at you as a shining role model, leaving me in the dust." "And even before they died, they still looked at you like some embodiment of purity, but YOU were the reason they DIED!" I said going from a cool composure to practically shouting. "You and your "boyfriend" Kirito are the reason that they're dead."
"You think you're SMART?" I said, my voice finally returning to normal. "You're the idiot that actually trusted that maniac." "From all those mysterious deaths of valentines all around Isora, you never figured it was HIM?" "And to think you became queen...." The owlite becoming even more disturbed, pointed a fireball at me. I quickly responded by dispersing the energy from his body. "This, is where I END YOU." I said, shooting the destoryer in my left hand, and drawing my cutter and slashing foward.
(OOC: Axis pieced it together eventually, why many Valentine family members were dropping like flies. Also Kaiju, if you want to me to redact this post in favor of revealing this yourself, I'll do that immediately.)
Axis broke into laughter. "You have no idea how much I DESPISE you," he said, now becoming more serious. "All of my life, I was overshadowed by you. Even my own parents looked at you as a shining role model, leaving me in the dust. And even before they died, they still looked at you like some embodiment of purity, but YOU were the reason they DIED!" He began to raise his voice. "You and your 'boyfriend' Kirito are the reason that they're dead!"
Gwen scoffed. "Oh, so your envy of me justifies all your misdeeds? In what universe? Don't you dare blame me or Kirito for your parents' death. It was your own dam fault, so man-up to it."
Axis retorted, "You think you're SMART? You're the idiot that actually trusted that maniac Kirito! From all those mysterious deaths of Valentines all around Isora, you never figured it was HIM? And to think you became queen..."
Gray Feather was growing more and more disturbed by these revelations. He snapped a firebolt and raised it threateningly, but Axis dispersed the active energy from his body, forcing him to dispel the firebolt.
He turned to Gwen. "This...is where I END YOU!" Axis slashed at Gwen, and she instinctively put up her arms. The cutter bounced off of her, leaving Gwen utterly speechless. She had unintentionally put up a teleforce field. Using the surprise to her advantage, she took off as fast as she could away from Axis. Gray Feather took one look at him, then followed suit and took off with Gwen.
I let loose a small chuckle. "You DO realize the second he gets through being enamored with you, he's going to kill you just like every single other valentine besides you, Diablo, Xin, and I right?" I said telepathically to her. "I'm not the person you should be fearing right now." Either way, I had pumped the owlite with enough poison to kill 5 valkyries, he'd have to seek out medical attention, and fast. My mind drifted back to the conversation. I had found it hilarious that she had blamed my parents death on me, obvious denial since she knew what REALLY happened. They had been murdered by a mystery assailant one night. I had my own alibi, I was stuck in council business the whole night to which every council member could attest to, except one. The only council member missing that night? Kirito.
Otto dodged the vicious swipes Shark was taking at him with her glaive. He parried when he could, the blades clanging. He fired a shot at Shark's head which she almost bought. After more parrying, Shark was on the ledge of a cliff they'd moved near. She finally threw the glaive point blank at Otto. Otto leant to the right and the glaive whistled through, impaling a tree. Otto went in for the kill, charging at Shark with his blade. Then twin ornate revolver pistols manifested into her crossed hands.
They were both jet black, with sliver engravings. She fired them with lighting speed and dead accuracy, swiftly and calm pulling the hammers and pushing the triggers. Otto leant to the left as two bullets whizzed by, and to the right as another went for his head. Three more were headed for his abdomen, so he dodged more to the right. He ducked under another and simply walked past the last two.
He approached Shark and punched her in the face. Or where face would be, if not for the teeth mask.
"How did you... Move so fast?"
She barely snarled, her voice sounding pained and choked.
He punched her again, and again.
After another punch, she retaliated by back handing him and calling back her glaive. It unstuck itself and flew into her demonic hand. She stabbed him in the shoulder, crimson staining the blade as she withdrew it and aimed for Otto's throat. As Shark swung, he blocked her hand and punched her twice more and pulled the glaive from her grasp.
Big mistake. As a voice entered his mind.
"Obey only me."
"What?!" He screamed, his head seemingly exploding. At least that was what it felt like.
"I am the one true god."
"Noo..." Otto grunted, his vision distorted, Shatk seemingly to growl as she said something cockily.
"You must hunt those who do not believe. Who do not follow me."
"Ah will NOT!"
"Submit."
"Ah won't..."
Submit!"
"Ne'er!"
"SUBMIT!"
Otto fell, clutching his head, grunting.
His nails dug into his scalp, his hat in the ground next to him.
He began punching the ground, his knuckles beginning to bleed.
Then he noticed his right hand. The fingers ended in claws, some weird black skin creeping up his hand and onto his arm. It seemed to form an organic gauntlet.
It stopped at his forearm. Everything below that point was black and grey armour.
"What the... Hell?"
He opened his palm and a glaive materialised.
"What... What 'ave ah become?"
"A Disciple of Him."
Shark seemed to speak normally.
"Wha' is yer voice normal now?"
"Telepathy."
"What?"
"Our minds, they're connected."
Shark leant down to help him up.
Otto leapt lightning fast and held the glaive to her throat.
"Nice try, but you can't kill me."
Otto's arm seemed to be magnetically stuck.
"What is this?"
"This, my Otto, is power. Take a look at your shoulder."
Otto did. And all that remained was his blood and a tear in his coat.
Otto was speechless.
"That's right. But only if you aren't in combat."
Shark then quickly taught Otto how to summon and desummon the glaive and twin revolver pistols.
"Go pick up your sniper rifle."
She said, or rather, thought.
Otto picked it up with his right hand, the demonic one, and the rifle disintegrated.
He was startled.
"Now think of it. Like the pistols and glaive."
He tried that and it appeared in his hands. Ornately carved, just like the pistols.
Shark had an Autogun in the same style. Otto remembered when he had to go up against the mean piece of machinery.
"So," Otto said.
"Ah guess ya 'spect me ta yer now, don'cha?"
He summoned the pistols.
"We'll see 'bout that."
OOC: This cool? As in alright cool.
I wake up to find even more Morai surrounding me. I feel completely better now. Sorry if I spare you the fun, Kirito. I say telepathically. I stand and expand the bubble, glaring at the ten people before me. Unlike the last group, they didn't open fire. Rather, they withdrew blades. Poisoned, guessing by how this is Axis's squadron. I noticed when I killed the last group, the Destroyers. I run, and find they run too. I slide beneath one's legs at bullet speed, shooting him in the back once I pass. I swing an arc with my arm, expelling thorns into a group member. One is suddenly beside me, and as he shoves his blade toward my shoulder, I jump onto it, shoving my sharply clawed foot into his face.
As his body falls to the ground, two blades swing down at me. I grab each of them and pull, launching myself past them and shoving each of my clawed feet into their faces. I look at the six suddenly surrounding me. I withdraw dual thorns, and start on the defensive as they swing their blades at me. I duck, and cause two to stab each other in the chest. I look at the last four. I feel my human form returning, and I smile as my tinged-hair transforms into turquoise. Water explodes from the plumbing, latching on to each of their throats and choking them as it flings them into the walls, dropping their limp bodies. I turn to the next ten. I screwed up on my math. There should be-now that there's ten more dead-I'd say eighteen left. Yes, that must be it, since I felt four dozen entities enter the premises after the first ten.
I expand the bubble to let the ten in. I change back into my Snarbolock form, jump behind one, and shove my tail through him. I feel a couple bullets graze me, but I am much better than I was before. I grab the dead one's weapon, shooting two in the head and hurling the gun at a third's, knocking him out before I launch a thorn into the heart. I grab a fourth's head and slam it to the ground. By now the five left are shooting the hell outta me, but I smile. "Those can't harm me now." I say, as five thorns along my right arm turn green on the ends. I shoot two, leaving three, and they've stopped shooting. I'm not wounded except from bullet grazes. I shove my hands down twos' throats, and my tail raises above my head, pointing at the third. The thorns expel, and the bodies drop.
I've save my last attack for the last eight. As I let them enter, I crouch into a ball, red glowing from my fur. I feel the energy, the hope from this group that they think I've given up, that they can kill me. I feel their footfalls as they stomp forward, malicious thoughts running through their mind. They enjoy this.
I do too.
Thorns burst from my coat, skewering the eight of them at once.
I feel myself wake up, as if from a dream. A hallway of massacre lays behind me. They aren't dead yet though. Not really. Because I sense their souls, frozen in time, dreaming as if they were asleep. No one is dead here. Just temporarily disabled. And pretty soon, that disability will not exist, and they will either die, be captured, or ran from once my mission is over. I run back down the hall, towards Kirito. "So, anything we might need to be doing right now? Oh yes! I almost forgot! Saving Astraea..."
I race towards the building as quick as possible, until I see a gigantic owl scoop up Gwen, and fly. Axis appears, then both of them tumble to the floor. I arrive there just to see Gwen flying on the bird again. I sneaked around Axis, hoping he won't see me, then sprint all-out towards the owl. Something was wrong with it. It was wobbling. After a few moments, it dropped. I race to it's landing sight, to see Gwen and the owl encased inside a transparent bubble shield.
"If you didn't know how to make a fireball, how did you make a bubble shield?" I ask her, grinning,
Kirito
We sat in silence inside of the mansion when suddenly, Gwen tapped the com in her ear and Top's voice alerted, "Morai are coming in by the dozens! I'm coming over, stay put!"
I sighed. "Awfully strange that he'd run away from us and then run back," I comment.
Gwen rushed to the window to see for herself. Without warning, an energy bolt whizzed past, singing a lock of her hair. She ducked behind the window and searched for a weapon. She turned a corner. When I followed her out, I saw a peculiar beast. An Owlite.
He was the strangest creature I had ever seen. He stood about two meters tall, and was best described as a very scholarly-looking bird-man. What was he doing here?
He bowed low and removed his hood, and spoke in a smooth, eloquent Isoran, "Hello, Gwenyvier. What are you doing here, in Diavolo's mansion?"
Gwen tilted her head and quipped, "I was about to ask you the same question."
The owlite chuckled and replied with the smallest hint of spite, "I was kidnapped and coerced to work on his despicable Crystalizer project as the elemental adviser. You?"
Gwen sighed and added, "I was kidnapped as well. I think he wanted to marry me off to a wealthy family so he could benefit."
My eyes widened and I made a mental note to add Diablo as the first on my little... Hit list.
The owlite bowed his head. "It would have been a great shame had he been successful." He held out his hand in greeting. "My name is Gray Feather."
Gwen took his hand and shook it. "Pleasure to meet you, Gray Feather." I couldn't help but grin. I actually saw a living Owlite in the flesh. I'd always wanted to see one since I was a boy.
Seatus appeared beside me and interrupted, "Gwen, I think this might suit you well. Try it out..." A thorn ejects from his body, and Gwen tentatively picks up the blade.
The Owlite sneers in disgust at the weapon.
Gray Feather scoffs at the blade. "Thorns? Really? You're both angel-folk, and you resort to such...inelegant weaponry? My dear Gwenyvier, have you never learned to snap a firebolt?"
Gwen blushed and looked at her feet. "No," she replied shyly. Gray Feather lifted up her head by her chin. "Raise your head, girl. Are you not the queen?" She shook her head. "No, Astraea is the queen now." The owlite sighed and snapped a firebolt. "It's easy. Do a snap weave."
Gwen sheathed Seatus's thorn and tried it. She got a small burst of fire, but no firebolt. "It's not working, Gray." But the elegant creature was ever-patient with her. "It's not enough to snap it into existence. You need to telekinetically hold it."
Gwen shook her head again and whined. "I don't know how to perform telekinesis."
---
The Morai had infiltrated the mansion. Gray Feather said, "The Morai are upon us. Come!" He summoned a forcefield at the door to hold off the Morai, then fireblasted a hole in the wall. He took Gwen by the arm, summoned his vast wings, and swung her onto his back as he jumped out of the hole, leaving me, simply staring.
I sigh and walk out as Seatus decimates the incoming Morai. I snarl. He just couldn't leave any for me, now could he? Vogdammit.
Seatus spots me and says, "Gwen's safe, I sensed her leaving the premises along with something else."
I nod. "The Owlite."
Out of the corner of my eye, a small regiment of four dozen soldiers converged on the mansion. About time I had some lunch.
Suddenly, Seatus runs out to spoil my fun -again!- and takes out all but ten Morai.
Ten enemies left.
No, ten snacks ripe and ready to eat.
I won't even need teleforce.
But guess who comes in before I can enjoy myself? Seatus!
Eventually, he ends up killing the last man with a rather powerful smack. I scowl at him and snarl, "Will I get no chance to fight someone?"
Seatus decides to take a nap, and when he awakes, we're surrounded. Again. He yawns in my mind, "Sorry if I spare you the fun, Kirito."
And yet again. Another battalion of tasty snacks is stolen from me. Seatus claps his hands and says, "So, anything we might need to be doing right now? Oh yes! I almost forgot! Saving Astraea... Come, Kirito." I nod.
I've completely forgotten about Astraea! Sh*t. I didn't take into account the fact that Damian might have trouble fighting Diablo. Seatus and I race off, and I smash down the door to Astraea's enormous cell with an immensely powerful kick. Damian and Diablo are duking it out, and as the battle unfolds, Seatus and I sneak over to Astraea.
She snarls, gnashing her teeth as if she wanted to bite me. She probably did. "What took you so long?" She hisses?
The Queen of the Valkyries does not sound pleased at all.
____
@Gzilla: well. That's a good idea. I'm thinking that Axis is suspicious of Kirito (and vice-versa) for the whole story, and at the end, he proves that Kirito killed the Valentines, therefore leading to the Council member's banishment.
As Gwen and the Owlite fled, Topo somehow managed to catch up to them. He grinned and said, "If you didn't know how to make a fireball, how did you make a bubble shield?" Gwen deadpanned and replied, "Fireballs require force fields, as Gray Feather taught me." She snapped her fingers, and a weak fireball appeared between her hands. She giggled and tossed it at Topo.
Gray Feather suddenly collapsed to the ground, and Gwen rushed over to him. "What's the matter?" she cried. "I've been...pooooiiss- *cough cough* *gasp* poisoned." She looked him over. His non-feathered body parts looked green. He took her hand and said, "This will make a good teachable mooooo- *cough* moment. Swipe a little poison from the wound and tailor an extraction field to it." Gwen looked puzzled. "How do I do that?" Gray coughed again and replied, "Gently apply a uniform field over it and find the exact strength that will make it float. Add a little more poison and do it aggggg- *cough* again to get the ratio."
Gwen did so, and finally got it after a few tries. "Okay, I think I've got it. Now what?" Gray coughed and sputtered, then said, "Now form two fields: a cone in front of your hands to catch the poison, and a reverse field in front of that to eeee- *cough* extract it." She first tried to replicate the field she made by accident, and managed to do roughly what Gray had described. She brought her hands over his body and began the extraction.
It was interesting to watch the green poison coming out and hovering in a little ball in front of her hands. When she had finished, she asked, "Now what do I do with it?" Gray winked and said, "Shock it and dump it on the ground." "How do I shock it?" she asked. Gray Feather snapped a finger, and a spark leaped from his hand. Gwen transferred all the poison to one hand and snapped her fingers in the other, but all she got was a fire blast. Then Gray said, "You first ionize the air, then channel your inner energy through it." Channeling was one of the few techniques she knew already. She tried again, and successfully shocked the poison. She dumped it onto the ground and looked at Gray Feather, who was now clapping slowly. "Well done!" he exclaimed. "You learn fast."
He turned to Topo. "Would you like to accompany us to our tribe, young man? It seems you already know this young woman, and any friend of hers is a friend of mine." He extended a hand to him. "My name's Gray Feather, by the way."
Abaddon looked at the body he was in. It was physically fit, and what's more, held all the powers he once had. Except he actually knew how to use them well. Abaddon turned his piercing, yet somewhat alluring(from Damian's looks) gaze to a regal-looking man who was presumably unconscious on the stone walls of the mansion. But he spoke in a friendly, sarcastic tone. "You know Diablo, I really do have to thank you for this opportunity. By putting that desire for power into his body, you indirectly allowed me to possess Damian. Though I can only possess him for a short amount of time, I feel the need to... return you the favor." With that, Abaddon immediately teleported behind Diablo, kicked him hard in the spine, and controlled one of the many dark chains surrounding him in midair, thrusting it at Diablo's heart with immense precision, and thus impaling him. Abaddon retracted the chain from Diablo's injured body as he brought Diablo's face mere inches away from his. "You think I'm on the same level as you? You must be kidding. That's like comparing a Proto Sword to a heavily upgraded Gran Faust! I could kill you right now if I wanted to. In fact, I-" Abaddon's speech was interrupted by the sound of footsteps, followed by the appearance of a Snarbolock and an Archangel. Abaddon grinned slightly, before throwing Diablo's limp body towards the ground.
Abaddon reappeared next to the Archangel with black wings and whispered,"Boo." before kicking him with so much force that he crashed through the wall and landed somewhere close to Diablo. Abaddon slowly turned his face to look at Seatus. "You're next."
~~~
If you guys are wondering why Abaddon is so powerful, I'll explain it in lore.
Abaddon was originally a very talented angel, being good at everything. But he fell into evil. So, the Great Spirit sent him into a dimension dubbed the 'Darkforce Dimension', a dimension of pure darkness. Abaddon soon learned how to control the darkness, and it led to many things, like teleportation through the Corridors of Darkness, or even the materialization of solid dark objects! After an almost perfect soul was born(Damian), Abaddon decided to come to Isora through the Corridors of Darkness, meeting a huge army of Morai. He completely decimated them all, but one Morai soldier managed to get a sample of cells from him, and it was dubbed 'Matter X'. It was later put into Damian(when he was in his fetal form), and as such merged with his growing cells, allowing for access to the Darkforce Dimension, which in turn, allowed for control over darkness. But in the Darkforce Dimension was Abaddon as well.
You guys can figure it out.
Abaddon's also a villain. So yeah(completely merciless ftw). Since Diablo put that desire for power in him, Abaddon managed to control Damian's body for a short amount of time, and since Abaddon can control the darkness better, he is far more powerful than Damian.
I watch in fascination as Gwen took the poison out of the owl with her powers. The owl recovers, then tells me, ""Would you like to accompany us to our tribe, young man? It seems you already know this young woman, and any friend of hers is a friend of mine." He extended a hand to him. "My name's Gray Feather, by the way."
I scratch the back of my head, "I guess so. I got nothing to do. I'm still in employment with Gwen as her personal escort. But I'm sure you'll do fine, Gray Feather."
I scowl. "You're annoying and premature since the last time I saw you. Yes, but you can't remember me. Everything get's cleaned up when I leave...right then. Abbadon, the underside of reality. But you were cast deep enough that you had no idea others were with you in there. Don't even bother trying, Angel of the Damned. I rather talk. You currently have no reason to attack me. So I rather we talk until we find out something we disagree on. Also, though you may have all your powers, this body can only last so long." I say the last line as I press his head down until we are both sitting on the floor. (@Ultima I am tying the darforce dimension **EDIT: TO THE UNDERSIDE OF REALITY** to Abbadon for some character development, for yours and mine. AND NEVER KILL THE MAIN VILLAIN XD!)
Diablo rolled onto his hands and knees and sneered, blood pouring from his mouth. He grinned eerily and laughed as he said, "You've already lost, Abaddon. Nothing in the world now could stop me from ruling the world. Destroying you would be easy...like crushing a bug. I don't have to be alive to see it happen."
He laughed again, coughing up blood as he did so. He looked at Seatus with a crazy look in his eye. "You'll not be rid of me so easy." He summoned his wings and jumped through the hole in the wall (which, incidentally, he made when he punched Damian through it earlier that day).
(OOC: @Topoyozariane, I'll try to have a response post up for you in the morning.)
OOC: Hey guys. Sorry, I won't be posting here for 5 days, so keep the posts down, pwease? I want to catch up. Anyways.... To explain my absence.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~`
I shivered, still cold from the freezer experience. I shifted his position to Gwen, then wrapped my arms around her. Warmer....... Suddenly, Gray warned us, "Brace yourselves, there's some turbulence." Right on cue, the wind blew right at us. Gray lurched, and suddenly I was falling... then a sickending crack.....
(Third person mode)
Topoyzada flew head-first at the ground, and off the owl. He hit the ground with a sickening crack! His neck was broken! And he still has traces of Hyperthomia. Unknown to Gwen and Gray, who were already descending, Topo had been sent into a coma..... for approximately 5 days, by an unknown force.
Gray descended to the ground and examined Topo. Gwen rushed up to him and cradled him in her arms. "Topo, are you okay? Speak to me!" She slapped him on the cheek, but he didn't respond. She looked at Gray with concern, and he decided to continue carrying both of them at a lower level.
They arrived at the Owlite Tribe by dusk. It looked almost futuristic; it had force field domes over the crops, tall crystal buildings, and hovering vehicles zooming on the streets, and was populated by well-dressed Owlites. Gwen was quite impressed, but it didn't mean much if Topo couldn't be cured. They alighted on a medical center, where healers came out to examine Topo.
"He's gravely injured, but it's not incurable. We can rectify his body, but he will need about five days to recover," they concluded. Gwen's jaw dropped open. "Five days!? I don't have five days!" Gray Feather put a hand on your shoulder and said, "Maybe you don't, but he needs it. You may have to travel with another escort, for which I volunteer myself." He bowed low, but Gwen was beginning to panic and hardly noticed. She began babbling about Topo's family, her liking of him, their mutual responsibilities for each other, and such like. Gray smiled and summoned a Zee Bolt, then applied it to Gwen. After a few moments, she fell asleep on the floor. He carried her to his home, where he laid her to rest in the guest bed.
He decided to begin training her in the weaving arts once she awoke. By the time Topo awoke, she would be ready to conquer the looming evil.
If he could get her to calm down first.
Urgh... My head hurts... Today is just not my day is it? Or, was I out for more than a day? Where was Gwen and the others? I saw a nearby building and decided to head in. I saw two people in the room, one of which was cleaning glass. "Hello?"
Takiza looked up from his sweeping. He looked more than a little annoyed. "Next time someone gets abducted, tell the perpetrator to kindly use the front door instead of breaking windows." Vanaduke nodded solemnly and stifled a chuckle. He turned to Arch and shook his hand. "Good morning, sir! Sleep well?"
"If your definition of well is the feeling you have when you get hit by a brick, then yes. What happened here?". I asked. I hope no one got hurt.
(The moment I decide to start doing again and I get RPers block.)
(OOC: Gzilla, I'm gonna retcon and pretend that Axis' attack on the Council occurred now.)
War cries erupted outside the Council building. Vanaduke stepped up to the secure window and peeked out. He came back and declared, "There are Morai forces outside. Would either of you like to fight off an army?" Takiza shook his head. "Very well then. Let's take the secure passage outside." They found it (I won't tell you where it is, lest a villain "conveniently" discover it) and stepped outside through a disguised hatch. Vanaduke found his comm unit and spoke into it.
"Brandell, summon the troops to the council building. The Morai have invaded."
"I don't know what they were thinking. They probably weren't."
"Oh...most likely one of his cronies. Takiza isn't behind it."
"Yes, I'm sure. We don't really have much time to chat; are the troops on their way?"
"Good, glad to hear it. I'll meet up with you shortly."
"Thank you, same to you."
He closed the comm unit and turned to Takiza and Arch. "We will meet Lord Brandell at his fortress in Al'Goth. It's a ways away, so we'll take a transport." He hailed down a taxi (yes, they had taxis in Almire), and they got in.
They arrived at a very sturdy-looking gray stone fortress, stuffed to the brim with weapon emplacements and bunkers. They passed the guards through the main gates and entered the main hall, where a dashing young man with a beautiful mustache was pacing around on the floor. Upon seeing Vanaduke, he cried out for joy and shook his hand vigorously. "It's good to see you safe, my liege!" he exclaimed. Vanaduke bowed a little and replied, "Thank you sir. It's an honor to find myself within your halls." Brandell chuckled nervously and retorted, "The honor is all mine. The troops were sent out about forty-five minutes ago. They should arrive at the council building within fifteen minutes."
"Thank you," Vanaduke replied. "These are my companions. Takiza is a fellow council member, and Arch here is a stranger under our care." Brandell bowed to each of them and said, "A friend of the king's is a friend of mine. Welcome to my humble abode!"
He took them to the lounge, where he bade them sit. He carefully seated himself on a worn leather chair and asked, "So tell me, what has been happening in the outside world? I do not stay informed as much as I should. Has the council decided upon a course of action regarding the Crystalizer?" Vanaduke folded his hands and leaned forward. "No, actually. Lady Gwenyvier took it upon herself." Brandell sat back and exhaled. "You don't say? That young woman is nothing but trouble." Vanaduke felt a little offended, but chose not to show it. "She behaved admirably, Brandell. Of course, her tact was a little lacking, but it's nothing irreversible."
There was a moment of silence. "When will you pop the question?" Brandell asked at length. "Well, I- I don't know, really. When do you think I should?" Vanaduke asked nerverously. Brandell thought for a minute, then declared, "Ask her when she is feeling elated, like right after she succeeded in something." The two of them smiled sheepishly. "She's a good woman, you know," Brandell quipped. "Yes, I do know. I just don't know if...if I deserve her," Vanaduke said. The other nodded. "Well, enough about that. Let's see to getting you all comfortable."
Brandell got up and led them to the chambers, where he showed them their rooms. They didn't look very cozy, but it was better than nothing. "I wish I had more appropriate arrangements for you, my liege," he said. Vanaduke brushed it off. "It'll do. Thank you, Brandell."
"Well sir, we seem to have lost the targets..." the Triumvirate had been scouring the area for a few good minutes. I sighed in frustration, this was going to be a long night. But just as I thought this would be a game of cat and mouse, another spy in Almire reported in. "They seem to be headed to Al'Goth as we speak, probably going to Brandell's keep." I laughed, Brandell's fortress was well built, but nothing that couldn't be broken. I quickly flew to the Crystalizer site. I knew they had some experimental weaponry being held at the compound. But when I touched down? Ground zero. It appeared that the device had gone haywire, and had absorbed energy from the surrounding area along with some of the research and development team.
I quickly touched down, and immediately discovered CE canisters scattered around the base of the facility. Grabbing a discarded hazmat suit from the wreckage, I quickly picked it up. It not only seemed to radiate much more energy then standard CE, it seemed to interact differently. I grinned at the new prospect. I quickly called in some of the valkyries working for the Morai. "Get on the hazmat suits and pick up the CE, I want this all dropped into my base, get research teams on this immediately." If all went according to plan, I could weaponize the CE, but I would need time. "I Want another squad of you assaulting Brandell's fortress with anything you've got. That's when the Triumvirate could break through and take care of the council members. And with that, the air raid began, and I flew back to base, with enough of this new CE to power a warship.
I frown. "You aren't responding, and you're an annoyance." I pulled Abbadin up by the hair, walk over to the hole in the wall, and throw him out. I walk to Astraea, withdraw a thorn, and slice through the chains, transforming into my human form. Picking up Kirito, I speak, "We need to leave. Abbadin will wake up soon, and I don't want to be there when that happens." Walking to the wall, my Snarbolock Wings unfold, and my hands turn to claws, holding Kirito. I jump out, flying as easily as a butterfly. "We can check on the other Council members. Gwen and Topo are safe," I sigh, glancing in the direction. "I also want to get Otto. He's a good mercenary. We'll make the stop and I'll grab him, and I'll meet you and Kirito at Brandell's fortress." I smile. "I'll carry Kirito until he feels well enough to-" before I finish, Kirito jumps out of my hands, fluttering by Astraea. "I'm just fine! And when do you call the shots?!" He asks, either out of embarrassment or anger, or frustration. "I call the shots because I was quick and able enough to dispatch fifty-five Morai men in twelve minutes." I say calmly. "And I know exactly where we're going. Brandell's fortress is under attack." I hold up a radio I picked up from a dead soldier. "Yep. So let's go." I dive and fly away, not waiting to see if they were coming.
I land near Otto and another woman. My wings fold in, as my arms edge themselves with thorns, sensing a new entity. "Otto, we need you at Brandell's fortress. Will you come along?" I ask calmly. I eye the woman. Something in her eyes wasn't Isoran anymore...
(@Ultimaknightz Abbadin deserved it, and you weren't responding. I want this to be a small penalty: dropping Abbadin out of a window.
@Kaijuhunter Sorry for the powerplay. You can post what you want to to overwrite it. It just seems like something he'd say...
@Gzilla Sorry, but I needed somewhere to pick up the story, and this worked. Sorry if it's a powerplay :/...it's just because Gwen is busy....yeah...,,
@Frostrex Join the story now :))
(OOC: @Gzilla: The Crystalizer is a manned space-capable vessel. The energy it collects is stored between the pincers, and the energy ball is about the size of a small room. Any free energy in the area will be entirely vaporized and within the ball. It is condensed to crystal energy via the same process mist tanks use, and then stored in metal cans.)
Euclid and his team approached the Morai city with caution. "Our objective is to take control of the radio tower and spread the message of freedom. If our intel is correct, the enemy is protecting it, so we're gonna have to fight our way through. But we'll be smart about it; I told the local resistance to start making homemade bombs for us. You guys ready?" They all nodded and advanced into the city. It was eerily silent on the approach. They spotted the enemy troops, but you'll never guess what they were doing.
They were chatting merrily with the resistance forces.
Euclid raised his gun and fired it into the air, and within moments there was silence. "What's going on here!?" he asked incredulously. One Spiral Knight raised his pipe and exclaimed, "The fight is over! We've won!" The other Morai troops threw up their hats and cheered. Euclid and Grantz looked at each other and shrugged. "When...why...how did this come about!?" Euclid asked. A Morai soldier piped up, "The angel girl made us stop. She made a very convincing case." One of his comrades nudged him, so he added, "Okay, and she was pretty, too." Rolls of laughter erupted from the armies.
Now Euclid was even more confused. "An angel girl made you stop?" Another knight responded, "Yep. You know, force field and all that. She explained the whole business, then used her telepathic magic to help us understand each other." Grantz crossed his arms and grunted, "What did she look like?" The knight said, "She wore a gray cloak and hood, and one guy says she had white hair, but it was kinda hard to tell." "Where did she go?" Grantz asked. "She went north, probably making her way to the capital," came the reply.
Euclid beckoned his team to follow, and they took the northern road. If this woman was legit, they might well live to see this conflict end.
Before he could answer my question, war cries were heard outside the building. "Any of you two want to fight?" one asked. I shook my head and followed. After some time we arrived at a fortress. I was introduced to what seemed like the big guys friend. I eventually heard their names through conversation. In one part, Brandell asked Vanaduke when he should ask Gwen the question. I can't say I am disappointed. I've only known her for about a day. I think. Brandell showed us our sleeping chambers. I jumped onto my bed and fell asleep instantly.
Astraea
[Screw] all this [crap]. No, I mean it. I should never have taken this [accursed] job. First, I'm taken from my kind parents and comfortable home without so much as a warning. Next, I'm appointed to the highest, most responsibility-demanding position in the world -I only accepted because of Takiza's amazing cooking.
Don't forget the free snacks. Oh, the snacks. And the people employed at the Council Building are so cheerful and nice. Not to mention Kirito Nee-San and Gwen Nee-San.
Just when Kirito and Seatus were about to break my shackles, Damian teleported over and kicked Kirito away like a rag doll. He sneered at Seatus, "You're next." I scowled. He had just been trying to help me. Why was he attacking Kirito and Seatus all of a sudden?
I cough loudly, and Seatus quickly slices my bonds in half. Just as he finishes, though, Damian encases him in some type of dark barrier and flings him across the room, sending the "Snarbolax" flying into a wall. [Screw] it. Now I had no backup.
Whatever. I don't need any.
Slowly, I rose to my feet, flexing my fingers and shaking the blood back into my numb legs. I scowl and produce my Divine Avenger from its sheath at my hip. I breathed slowly, steeling my nerves.
Seatus slowly rises to his feet, blood dripping from his lips. He sneers, "You're annoying and premature since the last time I saw you. Yes, but you can't remember me. Everything get's cleaned up when I leave...right then. Abbadon, the underside of reality."
Wait... what? This was Damian. Was Seatus mistaking him for someone else?
"But you were cast deep enough that you had no idea others were with you in there. Don't even bother trying, Angel of the Damned. I rather talk. You currently have no reason to attack me. So I rather we talk until we find out something we disagree on. Also, though you may have all your powers, this body can only last so long." .
I blinked. What the hell just happened? Out of the corner of my eye, I spot Diablo rolling onto his knees. Blood sputtered freely from his mouth and a large gash marred his forehead. A sinister laugh escapes from his throat as he sneers, "You've already lost, Abaddon."
"His name's Damian, you [goofnugget]." I cough.
Diablo pays me no attention. "Nothing in the world now could stop me from ruling the world. Destroying you would be easy...like crushing a bug. I don't have to be alive to see it happen."
He laughed again, coughing up blood as he did so. He looked at Seatus with a crazy look in his eye. "You'll not be rid of me so easy." He summoned his enormous wings and jumped through the hole in the wall.
Suddenly, I felt the air begin to grow hotter. My skin felt as if it was being charred where I stood, and Seatus looked just as uncomfortable. Damian, Abaddon, whatever he was, seemed to think of it as a mere itching feeling. A roar of rage escaped from the rubble Kirito was buried in, and- oh crap. He made Kirito mad. A blast of flames erupted from the debris, and Kirito walked over to "Abaddon" with a slow, grim determination.
In one fell swoop, he was on him. He made no noise as his hands began to crush Abaddon's windpipe. His arms glowed a violent purple as he... Oh dear. He was using an ancient form of energy weaving called "Dark-Kata", a technique that siphoned the very life force out of a victim. Damian's face was slowly of color, and I could tell he was going to die soon. I didn't know why Damian attacked, but I didn't want anyone dying today.
I forced Kirito off of Damian's limp body and slapped him until he calmed down. He blinked at me, unsure of what was happening.
Seatus announced, "We need to leave. Abbadin will wake up soon, and I don't want to be there when that happens. We can check on the other Council members. Gwen and Topo are safe. I also want to get Otto. He's a good mercenary. We'll make the stop and I'll grab him, and I'll meet you and Kirito at Brandell's fortress." Kirito sneered and nodded in understanding.
He spread his majestic black wings and scowled. "We'll, Astraea, aren't you coming?"

I only edited some stuff in your post, Seatus. Btw, where the hell is Ultima? He left us again after he beat up Diablo....

I walk out of the exploding building, bricks falling everywhere outside. I swat one aside. Making an entrance, though fun, always results in destruction. I reload my arm-gun, my only weapon and friend. I wave my hand, opening up a portal. A world of darkness, tinged with the life blood of Snarbolaxes, sits on the other side. Snarbolaxes, no longer humanoid but a four-legged blurr, run across the relatively empty landscape. Dull robotic song tones, made by the most beautiful of the Swarm, fill the air. Light occasionally blinks in and out through the air. Trees looking like Snarbolaxes themselves, Dark everywhere except the red leaves decorating their branches. Looking at the horizon, planets of similar looks are chained together. A massive Swarm heart sits at the center, beating it's electronic tune in perfect rhythm with everything else.
I walk in, and thd blurry Snarbolaxes run toward me, biting and gnashing. My arm-gun transforms into the Vorpal Blade in a millisecond, and I hold back their teeth and claws as I walk, my arm as blurry as them. Their essence was corrupted long ago, and the Swarm prolonged their lives. They look out of focus, so it's hard to look at them for too long. More come, and I hold off all of them. I lay my hand in the air, another portal opening. I step through it, unscathed. I close it immediately behind me, and turn as my dress changes white to-
"Gwen?"
Euclid and team reached the capital. None of the expected defensive forces were present. He suspected a trap, but they made it to the perimeter of the city without resistance. Upon entering, however, they could hear a commotion somewhere in the center of the city. When they got there, it was chaos. Densely-packed crowds of people had surrounded something and were shouting, chanting "burn the witch," and throwing Molotov Cocktails at it. He had his team dematerialize their armor and pushed their way through the crowd to see it.
A young girl in a gray cloak and hood had isolated herself in a force field bubble to protect herself from the angry mob. Euclid deduced that she was the "angel girl" that the knights had spoken of. He couldn't see her face, but her rapid movements indicated fear. She desperately searched for a break in the crowd, but could fine none, and she didn't want to hurt anyone. Euclid motioned for his men to get out of the crowd and directed them to a nearby empty building.
"What are we gonna do guys? Should we try to rescue her?" Euclid asked.
"Without question, sir," said Grantz.
"No way, forget it!" exclaimed Little-Lance.
"I'm game," Dmatter said with a shrug ((sorry about the power play, I had to)).
"Me too!" Travid said excitedly.
"Then it's settled. We're going in. Grantz, clear a pathway through the crowd. I don't care how you do it. Dmatter, show us what your freeze bombs can do. Travid, when Grantz has frozen the crowd, grab the girl and get her out of there. Lance, you're with me. We'll cover our retreat when the crowd thaws." Everyone saluted and rushed out the door.
Grantz pushed his way through the stunned crowd, heaved his troika with a great cry, and brought it down through the crowd. People screamed, pushed, and leaped out of the way, clearing a path. Dmatter was ready for him with a freeze bomb, which he deployed the same moment the troika hit the ground. Travid darted in to get the girl.
...but there he met with a little trouble. She was understandably unwilling to remove the forcefield, so Euclid rushed through. "Ma'am, we're here to rescue you! Let us help!" She thought for a moment, watched Dmatter freezing the rest of the crowd in place, and removed the forcefield. Under the cover of Travid's recon cloak, she ran with him and the squad through the frozen path.
They bumped into a very angelic-looking woman, who seemed to know the girl. The woman furrowed her eyebrows and asked incredulously, "Gwen?"
The girl replied, "Uh...hi? We gotta move. Come on!" They raced to the city entrance, hoping the woman would follow. They all wanted to know who she was and what she was doing there.
ALICE
I follow Gwen. My Vorpal Blade quickly reverts into a arm-gun. I am almost a shadow as I follow Gwen. I look at a boy freezing the crowd. I can see why. So many...I press a button on my gun, a mist shooting out and frezing the masses as we pass. I only aim at their feet...nothing wrong with that. "I'm Alice, technically an ancestor of Seatus. I'm the reason he isn't a mindless Snarbolax wrecking the worlds into pieces. It's kind of a complicated story. Nor am I his mother! I just had to point that out..." I chuckle. Young Gwen. So wonderful..."Oh, and I came to warn Seatus. Some more family is coming!" I take note of the terrifying future ahead....
((OOC: Gwen and Alice are in the Morai capital city of Mor'Loki, nowhere near Almire. I'm sorry if I didn't make that clear. Euclid and his squad operate solely in Moras, so I'd hoped that it was clear that "a city" was a Morai city.))
Kirito slammed his Divine Avenger into the paved floor and demanded, "Vanaduke! What...WHAT IN THE NAME OF VOG'S DARN ARSE HAPPENED HERE!?" Vanaduke recoiled for a moment, composed himself, and retorted, "You will NOT talk to the King of Almire that way! I will NOT give you the satisfaction of an answer with your kind of attitude!" He straightened his belt and marched away to his throne (nearby, at the opposite wall from the entrance). Lord Brandell, in turn, marched up to Kirito and pointed a finger in his face. "And I won't tolerate that kind of behavior here on MY property! Watch your tongue, young man!"
The nearby Almirian guards shifted their feet and fiddled with their spears nervously.
"Sir, we've located Gwenyvier." one of the valkyries said. My face turned from a tired glare to a horrendous grin. "Where?!" I barked, my patience worn thin from working on trying to weaponize the CE, or as it was more appropriately named, dark matter. I had successfully integrated the canisters into my armor, creating a much more powerful and efficient power source. The only drawback was if they were to rupture. "We were informed by citizens of her helping some of the Spiral Order's knights and a cloaked figure that could use teleforce near the capital." "I want everyone in that area to close in on her, she IS NOT escaping this time." I spoke, my voice bordering on paranoid. I inserted one of the dark matter batteries into a calibur. A once mundane weapon used by the order, now fully completed. I also grabbed my destroyer, new shells had been made for it. Instead of holding poison, it held energized dark matter. I quickly suited up in my armor. The almost dull glow from the armor was a murky blue. My original had been upgraded with more plating, and of course the dark matter. Instead of a hood, I wore a full helmet, displaying half of the Valhallian crest on the right, and half of the Morai crest on the left.
I quickly flew to the capital, and saw the group of knights, accompanied by Gwen. Just as they were making the home stretch, they were interrupted by a squad of valkyries, wearing the same crest I wore. "Where do you think you're going?" the captain asked in a sarcastic tone. I grinned, she wasn't escaping from this, the knights were weak, and Gwen herself couldn't handle seven valkyries at once.
I'm going to edit that post. I thought the council building was being attacked and, since its in Al'Mire, that city would be attacked too. I didn't know where Gwen was; from what I read I thought she was in Al'Mire... I'm gonna make Kirito and Astraea go to Mor'Loki instead... Prepare for edits!
Gwen looked at the advancing crowd behind her, then at the valkyries standing in front of her. Their party was surrounded.
Then she had a positively wicked idea.
She snapped a bright fireball, grinned, and said simply, "Come get me." She hurled the fireball, forcing the valkyries to shield the attack and coercing them to summon their own fireballs in response. Then, Gwen teleported herself and the party to another empty building nearby.
At first, the mob didn't know how to react to that, but then they noticed the valkyries holding fireballs, and concluded that they, too, were witches deserving of hell fire. They all let out battle cries and charged at the confused valkyries.
SEATUS
I land in the building, carrying a squirming Otto. I let go of him, and fly-land next to Kirito. "It's a busy day, and Kirito has had a rough one." I say politely. "What happened here, please?"
ALICE
I look at Gwen. Her teleportation ability was quite amazing for her age now. "Want a shortcut?" Not waiting for an answer, I summon the portal, the underside of reality calmly singing it's song. "It's the easiest way out without suffering casualties or being tracked, seeming as no one knows of this place." I say. The world had no star, no sun. Everything was black and dark with the glowing red. "If everyone stays with me, you'll all be safe." I say. I step through the portal, instantaneously changing my gun to a sword and holding off the blurry Snarbolaxes. "You can trust me. I know you can." I say between breaths.
I quickly gather myself together, the faint trace of Gwen's teleport lingers through the air. If I can track it fast enough, I can keep up with the group. I quickly take flight again, and track my quarry to an alley. The woman in the hood opens a portal, and starts something about stars, suns, and safety. I silently laugh at this, they wouldn't be so safe with Gwen making a novice mistake of not covering her trail. I quickly formulate a plan and call in more valkyries, but I needed to keep the group here for now. I pull out a small bomb that looks like a blast bomb, but looks can be deceiving. I throw the dark matter bomb into the alley, and all that could be heard for blocks was a deafening explosion, followed by a murky blue haze.
I dream of things beyond the pale
Of villains who may yet prevail
Of heroes bold, cute and daring
Of evils far beyond comparing
Awaken! Rise and take your place
Among the saints with love and grace.

Gwen opened her eyes and looked around. A black figure just darted out the window. Was it that same creature that took Seatus? She wondered. She sat up, rubbed her eyes, and got to her feet. "Are we still in Diavolo's mansion?"
(OOC: The Finder agreed to Seatus's suggestion, and had just jumped out the window to begin the hunt.)
