Tactics:
1 Shiverlocks (Holds Vanaduke in place with Shivermist Buster.)
1 Aggro Controller (Controls Vanaduke's aggro, mainly is the one whom attacks Vanaduke.)
1 Lava Eliminator (Constantly throws water to extinguish any stray Shadow Fire and/or Mask's Fire)
1 Mob Controller (Keeps enemies away from battle, mainly the Slag Guards)
That basically is all the positions during the fight, now the fight itself, just keep shooting at him with your gun (and moving of course,) and avoid anything he or what he throws at you. Also, NEVER put someone in peril during any part of FSC just to save yourself, it may kill off the whole team.

I can pull my weight in a party, I know what I'm doing. I'd rather you weren't into the unnecessary things like dragging the totems all the way to the last room of 27 to trap the Trojans, or leaving one zombie so people can heal the 10hp they lost, you don't need to. Completed the run with no shield equipped, a great party and no deaths. I can solo fsc, I don't do it often because I tend to get to somewhere like d27 and make a stupid mistake, lol. I like to troll friends a bit down there, it's probably the only thing left in SK that brings me joy.
^ Since writing that bullcrap, I've taken to doing FSC with no shield frequently. Sometimes, usually if I'm with Njthug, we'll drag totems throughout the depths just to make those last room fights that much harder. SO MUCH FUNS.

I've done the run a couple of times. I know what needs to be done to succeed, and what needs to be avoided to not fail.

I run the FSC as a swordsman / support bomber with:
- Full (fire-proof) Skolver (free-range wolvers were hand-picked (and genetically altered maybe just a tad) for their resistance to fire.)
- Crest of Almire (haters, begone! it's the best damn shield in the game!)
- Voltedge -or- Divine Avenger -or- Fang of Vog (rather in that order, dependent on mood.)
- Argent Peacemaker (suits my playstyle better than the Polaris.)
- Voltaic Tempest (presuming that another in the party is carrying a Shiver, and really, who isn't nowadays?)
- Venom Veiler (to nerf your enemies, to see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentations of their... erm, gremlins? This Is Best In Life.)
The CoA can tank 1-2 hits from the big guy himself and, if the Slags do manage to hit me, which isn't terribly often, my Ultra fire-res skolver set only allows a 4-second burn, then makes them regret hitting on me.
Strategy is, as the title states, as a support bomber. Keep Van zapped, to complement or replace shiverlocking, and poisoned, to increase the effectiveness and survivability of the party, while laying on the DPS from the Peacemaker. Also watering the lava (on the bottom 2/3rds of the screen only, thank you. *spoiler! :D )
As to experience, I've tapped Van enough to have the cookies I wanted, Crest and FoV, and now run the FSC to help out guildmates and the occasional nub pug's, to market the odd extra FoV, and just for the sheer fun of it. I haven't had the pleasure of solo'ing him yet, as I always leave my runs open to guild and have rather enthusiastic guildmates. (*laughs) Fun bit of trivia: I farmed my first FoV with a full Royal Jelly set / shield and a CIV. Then I got weary of being on fire.
Please put "Vanaduke run" or something similar, or I will ignore you. Also, don't pester me with FSC invites or I will unfriend you.

I have yet to have a Vanaduke go bad. (knock on wood) In fact, subsequent runs have been getting better, with fewer deaths and no CE used. So yes, I know how to handle myself well in FSC.
(Side Note: To everyone that put their ign. You know that you ARE USING YOUR IGN TO TALK ON THE FORUMS, right? That is, unless you use your 2nd or 3rd knight slot for whatever reason. Then it's okay. )

I am open to advice regarding equipment and playstyle, but I will always stick to whatever works out better for me. If you think a certain piece of armour would work better, a certain weapon more useful, a certain shield keep me safer, or certain trinkets keep me at an edge, do feel free to tell me and I will take it into consideration. I will not, however, hunt for Unique Variants. I see these as bonus features, and they hold last priority in my list of things to do.
If you think my playstyle is hazardous or halting progress, you may advice me on what to do in order to improve. Bashing, however, will get you nowhere and would most likely expand my ignore list.

i run FSC as a pure gunner. all 5* equipment with max level. and have a maximum gun damage to everything.
i'm still learning, and i think i already have a little experience with fsc.
i only managed to solo vana 4 times only though, while the rest resulting in failure... so still need training.
as for how many token i got, well.... i've already spent token for 5 fov, ancient plate-helm-shield, crest of almire, and now got 46 left.
i run fsc just for fun and training myself, since token is not necessary anymore.
i don't mind joining for rescue mission, although i can't guarantee i can manage to save you all though, lol.

As for strategy. Right now I am set up for support (Shivermist CTR Max). I am currently working on crafting a decent UV CTR Autogun/Needle Shot to take Blitz (may just make one anyway even without UV). I have an unbound Vile Striker and a DVS recipe that I might heat up for speed running the mask phases just for fun (really hate the Cutter lines though).
Also, I would prefer to have at least one Blitz Needle in the group for FSC runs.
Typically login between around 6-7 pm server time and play till ~9 or 10 pm server time most nights (later on wkends).

With the right team, I can take down vana in a matter of 2-3 mins, but i could also carry a 1-2 ppl who are new to FSC. I think you'd have to go in with 3* or lower equipment to get one-hit-ko'd by a slag walker.
What would be your strategy of taking down big-bad Vanaduke?
I typically play the assistant role due to not having good weapons to hit Vanaduke in the final phase. So I typically clear the floor of fire and slags and help water the mask. However, I dish out my fair share of damage during the 1st phase and the 2 mask phases. So, i guess my strategy is whatever works for the players with the more appropriate weapons. If I'm the only one without a gun I will shiver.
I've also slayed Vanaduke with my Combuster in a party of 4, where one guy only had a sword and didn't even try to attack Vana, the other had a 3* autogun, and the last had the shivermist, but never attacked vana. I prefer not to do that again, since it took forever as the only major contributor of damage.
I can solo the FSC with the obvious exception of the boss. I tend to play fast, but I will kill every zombie (including the 4 on each side of the stairs leading up to vanaduke's chambers).
I'm mostly looking for people to help beat Vanaduke to get tokens, rather than just running the FSC since I can do that by myself typically.

What gear/weapons would you use for the Citadel?
Snarbolax Coat curse low, Divine Veil, Volcanic Plate Shield, DA Max Construct, CIV, Blitz Needle undead med, Polaris low beast :/, 1 tetra heart pendant and one tri-heart pendant.

Depends. If there is shiver I just take him down from the back. If there isn't, I use a combo of polaris and blitz. When he hits, I shoot my blitz. When there is too much shadow fire around, everyone dead, and slags still up, I use polaris.

Armor: Mad bomber set (High fire mask, rolling the suit)
Wep1:Voltedge/Combuster, depends what I'm wearing
wep2:Dark Briar Barrage, love it
wep3:Voltaic Tempest, awesome mixed with aforementioned DBB
wep4:Shiv, because it's FSC
Trinkets: Elite boom, Penta-heart
Shield:Darkfang. It's all I have for now.

full gunner: deadshot mantle/shadowsun slicker, nameless hat/shadowsun hat, 2 elite trushot trinkets, argent peacemaker, polaris, blitz needle, callahan, volcanic demo shield/swiftstrike buckler (depending on team)

thats the general loadouts, but i have alot of loadouts i can use (for example, snarby set + asi trinkets, etc)

Now working on getting all token items from vana, for costume of course lol, have ancient plate, just need helm and shield lol. My vana success is increasing. I run with Duck a lot and like the freeze method over the shoot and trap method, mainly because I can't trap yet... also vana hitting the ground lags me out lol. So I prefer methods that keep him still.
