Woah!

There's only one thing, though.

Didn't Spookat's exist after Kat's all died because of Margrel (winner of the world's Trying-to-Help-But-Failing-Miserably platinum medal this year. And last. And before that. And before THAT, too)?

Have to admit, these c̶l̶a̶s̶s̶e̶s races look epic! :D

xD

I'm back! That's a lot of posts....

I for one thing, agree to Hexlash moving into the council. And I... raise a voite for Sandwich-Potato into the council? He's pretty awesome.

@Ultima: If you're going to not let Sandwich be in the council, you might as well kick me out. I'm *maybe* MUCH younger than him. (I'll ask in game sometime. xD)

AND.... Thin, didn't you need like the permission of the WHOLE RP council to make a RP? Whatevs. xD

And..... I'm applying for the mod position. You said that early, am I correct?

@Topo

To be fair, this is only the account I use to post on the forums.

Oh, thanks for voting for me! Gosh, I sound like a politician. What's next, I kiss newborn Snipes and shake hands with random Strangers? (BADUM-tsss).

On a more serious note, I think that I have compiled a list of who I think should be on this RP council*:

-Thinslayer (no, really?)
-Topoyozariane (not even going to ask about that name)
-Hexlash (where the heck have you been for, what, a few weeks?)
-Me, myself, and I

The reason I did not include Ultima is thus. No, I am not going to sugar-coat it. No, I will not be more gentle in my review of you than you of me. Consider it a taste of your own medicine, Tylenol Cherry flavor, if you will, though grape can prove to be just as devastating:

He is not agreeable (see Topo apparently arguing with him quite a bit before making up), and is not even gentle enough to those who are just beginning to create their own novels to hold such responsibility in his potentially stubby hands.

*note: The creator of this reply has a limited experience in the business of story creation; thus, he may not have knowledge of other people that the more experienced lot may know and add at their own discretion.

Wait, so when exactly did this "Council of - uh... important people that handle Roleplays" come to being, and when was their power created? Anyways, @Topo, I agree to have Sandwich in the "council", but what's important here is character. It doesn't matter what age you are. That's one of the amazing things about the internet, you can only be judged by the qualities that you exhibit, rather than preconceived prejudice from a simple glance; it's like the epitome of not judging a book by its cover.

By the way, why do you think I should be on this thing? What have I done that makes you think that?

lawl, caught yur double post. Anyway (dictionary.com disagrees with me putting an 's' after anyway :c), I did post a few minutes ago if you didn't catch that Sandwich :D

Well, Hex:

Your paragraphs are more properly structured than some, you've shown good synergy with others (see: Justifier-Nitscue multi-post conversation), and have shown to have a positive attitude relative to some others.

/e coughs. Loudly.

To answer your questions:
-This "Knights of the R̶o̶u̶n̶d Elliptic Table" came to being in the most recent RP, Shadows of the Void, in which I starred as a co-mod. However, it soon degenerated into mostly fight scenes, not what Thin wanted (to have intellectual puzzles attempting to open the Artifact and Core to escape Cradle via Core energy). Thus, Thin wanted to start a new RP, but needed new mods and such. To attract them, he/she/it/potato created this thread.
-Their power? Not sure what you mean, but this thread was made to save clutter space on the Treasure Vault. Previously, most RP's had two threads (OOC and actual story). Now, if this thread gets stickied by a magical, mystical, (possibly) musical Game Master, it'll clear up the Vault, having only one thread to brainstorm ideas in.
-That's practically the internet's only benefit ;). (It could be used as the most advanced way to access information around the world. Guess what we use it for? LOLcat pictures.)

EDIT: On another note, who should we hire to tally the votes for who should be in the RP council, the Knights of the Elliptic Table?

I suppose Owlites could have battle sprites if they wanted to, yes, but they would need to wear Knight armor to do so, because battle sprites have to be programmed to bond with the knight in question. Without the electronic armor knights wear, Owlites cannot take advantage of this.

Regarding races

I was hoping to leave the details up to the players.

But since you ask:

Knights: can use battle sprites, can use Spiral equips, can wield heave equips, cannot use magic
Valkyries: can use battle sprites, can use Spiral equips, cannot wield heavy equips, can use magic
Owlites: cannot use battle sprites, cannot use Spiral equips, cannot wield heavy equips, can use magic
Gremlins: can use battle sprites, can use Spiral equips, cannot wield heavy equips, cannot use magic (except Menders)
Mecha Knight: can use battle sprites, can use Spiral equips, can wield heavy equips, cannot use magic
Spookat: cannot use battle sprites, cannot use Spiral equips, cannot wield heavy equips, can use magic
Kat: cannot use battle sprites, can use Spiral equips, cannot wield heavy equips, can use magic
Zombie: cannot use battle sprites, can use Spiral equips, cannot wield heavy equips, cannot use magic
Dreadnaught: cannot use battle sprites, cannot use Spiral equips, can wield heavy equips, cannot use magic
Stranger: can use battle sprites, can use Spiral equips, can wield heavy equips, can use magic

An idea

The Dreadnaught comes off more as a leader of the Zombie ones. In my though the idea of them not being able to us magic makes since, but some Spiral equitment maybe if heavily modified but thats taking it a little too far. Now I would like to be safe in assuming that the Dreadnaughts would be smarter then a basic Zombie, IE: "Thats a person...thats a allie, thats and enemy. Maybe on on a common level of understanding, but we would say of some one who was not very bright but had a thinking kinda mind./

On that note there would be different kinds, IE: Fire, Curse, ETC. Following the logical thinking that follows the 'magic' would be what ever the elemental burden is. So Curse would have something dealing with Curse Fire, to fire Ice::Ice.

Maybe I am jusut crazy and wanting to toss around ideas. But I think its worth a shot.

Proposal

Begin proposal.

Skylark Down (roleplay; apps accepted)

The Skylark has just reached Cradle. The Owlites and the Kats have nearly finished their war. Lord Vanaduke has recently retaken Almire. You, the player, are about to become an important part of these exciting times. If you wish to participate, tell us who you are and why we should care. Yep, that's all there is to it. No complicated character sheets to fill out, no stats to worry about, just freeform fun. Armor and equipment works however you want it to; you can play as any race known in Spiral Knights lore; you can create your own story and your own goals. Be who you want to be, do what you want to do.

However, this means that the bar is higher. Since it is entirely up to you to decide what you want to tell us about your character, I won't accept anything less than the best, most detailed, most unique characters. Given the highly-freeform nature of this roleplay, players will be expected to adhere very strictly to the standard rules of roleplaying, outlined in the discussion thread. You will also not be allowed to create or use NPCs; that's the moderator's job. This may mean that the world will be pretty sparsely populated, but that's okay; we don't want it to be crowded.

Some sample (and epic!) art for numerous race types is shown on page 2 of the discussion thread, if you're interested. Please post your character applications there.

Have fun!

End proposal.

When I speak of magic I am rather refering to the fact of Elemental attributes. Mean some one who is Fire elemented will be able to use that fire some how, nutural is just normal and so on and so on.

BTW: I like the idea. Seems like it could really be a good way to astablish some kinda conntive ties to other rps by seting up family history as well as make lines to the future. I know which character I want :3 But I have to wait for ya'lls vote :L

Naw.

Think about it like this mate. You know how some Zombies have a Element when them like the Fire Zombies (Lazy to find name) and when they attack the deal normal and Fire Damage. Taking this into mind, if they do have this element on them could they use it like an ability. Sure this makes them weaker in other area's and bla, but what I am talking about is the elemental aliment.

LOL.

Hey guys. I got a great idea.

I make the new council.

We vote on who's in it, okay?

These are the candidates.

1) Thinslayer, the head of the council.

2) Me. xD I'm a mod once.

3) Sandvich-Potato. A great guy with humor, not that good with plot making tho. xD

4) Ultima. A great writer, he isn't THAT friendly, but a nice guy nonetheless.

5) Hexlash. He may be offline a lot, inactive, but he's great at writing.

6) Darkwatch. Actually, it's about complains. Read below for complains.

7) Creeperlucario. Read complains too. xD

8) Hearthstone? Maybe. xD

________________

Read Complaints Here:

Well... I don't like Dark and Creeper because their writing is.... almost unreadable. Very hard to read. Not proper grammer, not proper writing... Ugh. They also make their side stories, like irrelevant to OUR main story.

Complaints End Here.

__________________

Anyways, sorry 'bout the complaints, I got to get it off mah chest. xD

Anyways, will be making a new RP council thread. Please VOTE on the candidates, or nominate another dude/dudette. xD Thanks!

Two things

@Topoyozariane: Ya, your right I tend to go of topic a little bit and might not be the best at spelling and what have you. I blame the spelling but on the fact I am from Florida (Got to love the way we talk down here). And the side stories I try to avoid if possible unless its going to add to the character. As for how I write, I tend to use a stander form for writing a book. Leaving the 'active camera' or in this case the point of view threw the paragraph, as one till the active camera is switched via some one else talking or too long a Paragraph is about to happen. Block of Text or not its the way I was tought to write and it stands with in proper forms of writing down here. Splitting my actions and speaking sections would leave too much dead space as I tend to give detail as characters are talking. I am a sucker for Detail.

@Thin: Ya thats it. Maybe not control it as in able to move it at free will, but have some kinda minor ability to use it passively that coninsides with there current stand and what-have-you. Like say for instance, the Fire Zombie(Lazy name again sorry >.<) would be lit on fire thus if he touched some one they would get burned or there weapons might get seared. And if need they could use it as a active but I don't think they would be able to use it very will since its more like a Passive ability then an active one.

I used to be pretty frequent, but for reasons I'm sure you don't want to be bored with, I cannot get online as easily, currently.

I checked the forums when I didn't post, it's just that after I missed a few days, Archemiday and Thinslayers new RP's had gone fairly far, and I didn't have much time/was too lazy to catch up on the story and discussions, so I just milled about, waiting for something like this to pop up.

Ho-hum...

Well...

Try to consider this. As you can see, this is a singular paragraph, or what will be one. It's not a wall of text quite yet, but if you continue on like this for a little while, it's OKAY to do so. However, as you type in more and more lines and words and whatever conglomerates of stuff you want to put in, it becomes a pain for the readers to read more and more of the same wall of text. It's like reading a story without taking a breath. You don't have to space it every sentence or every line to pause, but I'd like you to at least find a transition to make to bring one point to the next, from one event to the next, from one character to the next, and so forth. As you can see, this little bit of explaining has already made quite the wall here, but we're just not done yet. In terms of your grammar and spelling, it's not the best (nor my grammar, to be honest), but it's a hell of a lot better than the other site I frequent to. Even some of the more "veteran" role-players use [of] instead of [have], and we all slip up royally by occasion. I don't think it's going to be a huge problem as long as I can relatively make out your point. Watch your style of speaking, you do have to, though. That previous sentence was what you occasionally did, and though it might make sense for relatively short and direct sentences, it is a pain to the eyes to read. And now look how large this paragraph has gotten. A decently written one, I suppose, but it. needs. spacing.

If you make a habit out of this ^^^^^^ up here, then your writing will remain relatively the same. I think Topo's trying to help you, though the way he does it is a tad bit too elitist for my taste.

@Creeperlucario

The key to making more readable text is to separate it into smaller paragraphs about 2-7 lines long. 3-5 lines is about ideal. Each paragraph should contain its own idea. For example, you might have the first paragraph describe Lucario's encounter with an NPC, and your second paragraph would describe a sudden event that happened a few moments later.

Allow me to illustrate another example:
__________

Cypreus lobbed a bomb over the barricade, and a shower of debris rained down on the party a few moments later. "Move it!" he shouted, and everyone broke cover and charged at the gremlin ranks. Blades whistled furiously and guns chattered in anger, mercilessly decimating their hapless foes.

(new paragraph)

Suddenly, the ground began to rumble and shake like a scared giant. Gears and beams began to tumble and clatter to the floor, crushing anyone unfortunate enough to be beneath them. Cypreus glanced at the exit; it was blocked with a crumbled wall. He dodged a falling panel and stopped at the blockage just long enough to plant a bomb. As soon as he rolled for cover, the bomb exploded.

Now they were free.
__________

See what I mean about the paragraphs? Imagine reading the same thing as one block of text:

Cypreus lobbed a bomb over the barricade, and a shower of debris rained down on the party a few moments later. "Move it!" he shouted, and everyone broke cover and charged at the gremlin ranks. Blades whistled furiously and guns chattered in anger, mercilessly decimating their hapless foes.

Not as easy to read now, is it?

You can try. Remember though, the standard for character quality is pretty high, and having your character work for an NPC whom I won't use often is dicey, at best. If you're going to be an Almirian, I recommend using an Almirian Crusader. The Crusaders operate more or less independently, much like the Knights.

Note that Almirian Crusaders are NOT zombies in this RP. ;)

App

Ok then

Name: Gardevoir

Gender: Female

Age: 25

Race: Almirian Crusader

Personality: Kind, patient and hates people that are impatient.

Loadout: Almirian Helm, Almirian Armor, Crest of Almire, 5* spear they use
Appearance without armor.

Biography: Gardevoir is an experienced Crusader who mastered using swords and spears but can't use guns or bombs. She grew up in Almire and was the first female Crusader since the other classes (Guard, crusader) where usually male only but when the elite guards noticed how well she handled spears and swords. As she was preparing to leave Almire, Lord Vanaduke started to take over. Gardevoir started to run throughout Almire avoiding the battles and Vanaduke's guards. She had to avoid 2 guards but since they were slow, Gardevoir didn't have much problem getting by them and got out of Almire. Gardevoir started to explore with the goal of finding Vanaduke and his guard's weaknesses and take back Almire.

@Thin: Fixed the app and added a picture without her armor on.

Character App. Dishonoured Almirian Knight. (UPDATED)

@Topo
Im not a consideration? Fine...I'll just be over here...petting Moe...

Anywho. My Character App:

Name:
Sir Garron of Almire

Age:
30-35 when he was 1st in service to Vanaduke. Since he was Captured, Preserved, and since escaped while Almire was retaken by the Fiery Lord, his Physical age is still around 35, but actual age is closer to 60.

Race:
Almirian Crusader.

Height:
6ft 1.

Appearance:
His face is rarely shown, only revealing the Cyan pyres that are his eyes. His helmet is that of the Almirian Crusader Set, with a crack appearing through one of the eyes, and bearing a Tarnished Bronze colouration in place of the usual Ivory. The metal banding on the back of the helm remain the same iron colour. His armour bears its ivory shoulder pad and wrist-guards, as Tarnished Bronze also. Around the arms, body, and down to his shins is a dark grey Trench coat. It bears the faded symbol of Almire on its back, with a dullen Golden Wreath design cicrled around it. The trench coat is quite aged and shows signs of weathering.

http://i777.photobucket.com/albums/yy53/Caspian500/Gallonunmaskedgreen_z... (His Face revealled in RP Thread, Page 3).

Equipment:
Almirian Crusader Helm (Weakness to Ice instead of Fire. Resistance to Fire same value as Curse).
Almirian Crusader Armour (Weakness to Ice instead of Fire. Resistance to Fire same value as Curse).
Weather Trench Coat (Doesnt do much but waves around during fights, bears resemblance of his past, and makes him look cool).
Crest of Almire (The Sash has 8 Bronze pins on the shield's face, in memorial to his fallen brothers. They were added after his arrival at haven).
Furious Spear (The one that the Almirian Crusader Monsters use. Acts like a re-skinned Furious Flamberge, Pierce damage).
Satchel (Full of items and memories relating to his back story. Will kill anyone who attempts to open it).

Bio:
Sir Gallon was once part of the Bronze Lancers. A sect of Knights from Almire, that were seen as an order deployed into various missions that other knights would not be able to handle. (Like the Spiral Order's Recon Rangers in a way). They were also seen as the most devoted in service to their ruler, Lord Vanaduke. From Rescue missions to Guerilla strikes, The Bronze Lancers were the top in their class in terms of any rank of Knights. This was due to more than training, but with bonds, as they treated each as their own brother. For their honourable duties to the Realm of Almire, they were treated with the wealth and and respect that they were deserved. Sir Gallon was treated to such pleasantries. Owning a Luscious abode close by to the Fortress itself, he dined, wined and enjoyed himself almost as much as a King. However this lifestyle of perks was sure to fall, and fall it did during one fiery knight.

The Fortress was in a blaze one night. No other had seen the cause of the fire, nor any who may have been behind it as an assasination attempt on the Lord. The Bronze Lancers were sent in to try and rescue their Lord, holding dedication & Loyalty far higher than safety. Manouvering past burning supports, and smouldering furniture, some of the Lancers became pinned down in the wreckage. 1, 2...3 more hallways passed, and in the smoke and flames of the confined halls, there was no way of telling if they were getting closer to their target. Gallon was adamant in his heart that he return for his Kinsmen who may still be trapped beneath burning lumber, but his sense of loyalty to his lord outshone these thoughts. Pressing on, with only him and 5 others of his team remaining, they came to a chamber that split off in 3 directions. Sir Gallon and his Brother-in-arms, Sir Tarrow, would take the centre, while 2 others would take the hall turning left and their Captain, Zydon, to venture the right. Nodding to eachother, knowing that the danger of the situation may leave them never seeing some of their companion's faces again, they set off to find their Lord, and hoped he had not perished.

Gallon & Tallow could tell they were nearing the Throne room, as the decorations and furniture were becoming gilded in design. Nearing the throne room, they caught a glimpse of the Captain's armour, as his body lay dying and bloodied on the floor. Rushing over to him, they saw that he had been fighting with another, and had lost. Knowing their leader's capabilities, they saw his assailant to be a true beast of battle. As they were mourning for their captain, the roof began to fall in on them. Both thinking fast, they jumped to each side, being seperated in the process. Tallow was on the side entering the Throne room, so emotinally saluted his brother, and set off to try and rescue their lord. Gallon, however stood there. He was failing his duty to his Lord, he could not pursue his fellow-Lancer, nor could even protect his own captain. Yelling to the winds, he set off to find another way around, when he heard the muffled wails of Tallow, echoing out of the Throne room. Standing in shock, the walls were slowly burning around him. Slowly cursing his very existance.

Burdened with a growing amount of shame and sense of failure, he collapsed, holding his hands around his head tightly, wanting to awaken from such a Nightmarish scenario. His entire squad had fallen, all like Brothers to him, and they were all dead within a single night, from a Mysterious blaze that had probably taken the life of his Lord also. He began to run. He ran through the city, and further into the outer districts. Only when he was on the edge of the city's limits, did he turn back, dying from exhaustion and a loss of honour. His body fell down on that spot, where it did not arise for some time.

When Gallon awoke, his surrounding were unfamiliar to him. There were mechanical men pacing around the halls, and furry bipedal creatures alongside them, carrying away his equipment. He looked down to see himself in a grimey gown, with tubes inside of his arm. Reaching over, he pulled out the chemicals flowing into his system, and got up. What had happened during the time he was out? Had scavengers taken his body like a heap of trash and lumbered their way back to their own base? With all these thoughts buzzing in his head, and the need to find answers, the sound of the door opening sent him laying down into a dormant position again. The Mender in a white uniform and mask began to look over the Lancer, and noticed the tubings were out, grumbling to himself, he took the tubes and made the motion to place them back in. The Lancer's hands too the Gremlin's arm and mouth in a swift motion to make sure he couldnt act or scream for aid.

"Answers, beast". Gallon hushed in a harsh tone. The terrified gremlin pointed his head toward a monitor screen. Gallon, not being in a merciful mood, twisted the head of the gremlin in a quick motion, snapping its neck. The Gremlin slumped to the floor, as the Lost Knight looked over the records. 25 Years. He had been out for 25 years, kept in working order from the preserving chemicals and treatments the Gremlins had used on him. Taking in all this made him look around the room for something to support his weight. Suddenly grasping the edge of a table, he started to ease his breathing, as his past training had told him to in panicked situations. Taking deep breaths, he began to think, and deduced that he would need his equipment back in his possession.

Gallon looked both ways from the Lab's doorway, and turned left, seeing that this was the direction the other Machines and Gremlins had taken his items. He made his way through the ways very quickly, in desperation to get out of the facility as soon as possible. He came to a large double door, with a sign reading 'Utility Storage'. Peering inside, he spotted his gear being looked over by another Mender in white. Opening the door as quietly as he was able, he crept inside. The White clothed Gremlin was stunned in place as the hands of the Lancer found themselves around the Gremlin's head. Another quick snapping motion, and another life had been taken by the Lancer. Although taking down foes with hardly any field experience wasn't much of a challenge thinking about it. Gallon took his items, and donned them there and then. Looking around for something that could aid his escape, he noticed a large box on the wall that read 'Power Breaker'. Not quite sure of what it did, he hoped it created a diversion of some sorts, he struck the box with the handle of his spear. Sparks began to fly, as the lights flickered off. Gallon took the chance the moment darkness, fell and rushed out the hall. He was bumping into Gremlins in a panic to get the Lights back on. No-one knew what they were bumping into, luckily for the Cursed Knight. A few minutes later, and he had reached the doors of the compound, where artificial skylines greeted him once more. Hurrying himself over the hills, he vowed to get some answers about what had happened to his Home since his capture, and on that fateful night.

A few days of wandering through unknown levels, ascending and descending through inummerable elevations, and the lone Lancer came across a place that seemed very different from all other places he had visited on his journey. It was a bright town, with white walls and buildings. Small birds flew around with tall mysterious beings over-shadowing him, making even a Cursed Almirian Knight feel uneasy. He roamed the streets, until he found a canvas to rest under, not aslpee, but losing himself in Painful thoughts of his Friends, Companions, Home, and a Vengeance against the soul who took all of this away from him, in a single night of ash. To this day, he roams the streets past sunset, remaining silent to all who he passes. The snipes and strangers dont take any heed of him, and he has grew accustomed to this. A town passing him by, like a statue in time.

Notes: Is very resistant to fire, with a good chance of inflicting fire on all weapons.

(Kept with Shamed Almirian Elite, just tweaked to make him not-undead).
(He was around during the 1st reign of Vanaduke. He's some sort of Elite).
(He is however an Outcast from his once proud title and home of a lost sect. He has no perks other than his training and fancy looking gear).
