If you're not feeling up to rewriting the scene, then yeah, it's okay, but it's sub-optimal. Haven should be pretty sparsely populated at this point, and considering the ratio of officers to regulars, finding anybody with rank is pretty unlikely.
Roleplay discussion thread
Alright, we have three more people to rescue and carry back to Haven, all in different locations, one with amnesia. Ticked off Wolvers most likely (try having some random guy throw some logs at your house and see how you feel), and there's the threat of them getting too injured to carry back in time.
Well, Fennel didn't have anything better to do today. :3
For the RP Thred to be updated. Man, Mortis has all the time in the world now. Just he is slow as all hell.
So I reckon one of his faults would be a big ego, right? Everybody has faults.
Ya, detachable head...Undeads are wonderful an't they. At least the Undead who are stuck with a Curse.
Name: Punkin
Gender: Male
Age: Unknown
Race: Punkin King
Personality: Normally kind, has a dark side and goes berserk if someone ruins the Almirian Grave's or/ and corpses
Biography: Punkin King knew how strong he was able to say "Trick" or "Treat." Treat was a kind thing that he did and never attacked people but trick, he attacked people with his gourdlings for a few minutes. When he was tasked to look after an almirian graveyard, he saw a shadow guard leaving the place and knew not to punish anyone who looked at the grave. He has a soft spot for females, often saying "Treat" for them and if they are almirians, lets them into the grave but, that's the reason when he gained berserk. He saw lots of people both male and female ruining the graveyard and had to kill the almirians but his gourdlings did the job most of the time. He saw a crusader and when he looked carefully, it was a female and never said "Trick" or "Treat." He watched as the female crusader looked around and left without touching anything...
((OOC: Added a bit of Gardevoir's post for the Biography))
Gallon holds the fires of Almire in his heart.
Will they grow in intensity later in the story?
Find out next time!
Valkyries should probably teleport in from the High Realms.
Name: Gallade
Gender: Male
Age: 25
Race: Almirian
Personality: Kind unless friends gets hurt and goes aggressive with his sword arms, curious and goes berserk killing the enemies that hurt his girlfriend.
Loadout: Crest of Almire, and his 2 retractable sword arms which act like Leviathan Blades.
Appearance
Biography: Gallade was a curious person who liked to explore but his exploration soon brought him a disaster when an explosion took off both his arms. The Almirian doctors were able to create sword like arms that are able to retract so it was possible to use it for hands. They never realized how strong they were because they could be used as a shield even though he had a Crest of Almire. After the accident, a girl felt sorry for him and introduced herself to him. The girl was called Gardevoir and was Almire's first female crusader. After a year, they realized how much they liked each other and became boyfriend and girlfriend. They visited each other often until they got split apart from Vanaduke taking over Almire and Gallade is currently in jail by Vanaduke's guards with Gardevoir being far away from Almire...
@Thin: Is this OK for another app?
My SHSAT tests are finished! Now I can continue the storyline! That is, if the other players regain consciousness. :P
Heh, I wonder if knights are gonna freak out about the sudden appearance of a Valkyrie ;)
Is it okay if I have a battle sprite in the current situation or are almirians not allowed battle sprites?
First things first. Gallade is not accepted.
Secondly, Almirians are not allowed battle sprites until 1) the sprites are freed from the Collector and 2) the characters then request permission from Spiral authorities to have one.
Name: Eevee
Gender: Female
Age: 32
Race: Valkyrie
Personality: Helpful, caring, very shy around men, hates conflict, has lots of energy and can be blunt
Loadout: Light Seraphynx, Dark Maskeraith, Spatial Sensing (Allows Eevee to check out the level and sense hidden enemies), psi-blade (Deals shadow damage), thunderbolt (Deals elemental damage) and needle-launching (Deals piercing damage). Doesn't use shield (Except for Seraphynx's Aura) and doesn't use any weapons, just magic.
Appearance
Biography: Eevee grew up with the Valkyrie's but was the odd one out because she was able to learn advanced magic skills when she was 10 but this affected growth because of the tradition. She did not improve much on guarding or using main weapons by the time she left Valhalla at 20. She then realized the freedom she got and started to explore Cradle, encountering new enemies, the vast clockworks and even the core which was locked up at the time. She became renowned among Cradle's inhabitants for her unusual concern to help living life forms, and how much of the time she went out of her way to heal even the least of the creatures.
When the clockworks creatures started to get more hostile, they started to take their toll on Eevee. She started to become reserved such as rarely speaking unless necessary and avoiding the more intelligent species when possible. A close call in Firestorm Citadel's firey enemies left her wings clipped which prevented her from flying anymore and the subsequent war with the undead nearly destroyed her fragile mind.
Since then, her magic skills have gotten stronger but she never fully recovered from the rough battle.
@Thin: I hope this is finally fixed and sorry for taking bits from yours...
1. The name "Eve" is already taken by one of my NPCs.
2. Owlites shouldn't be able to use battle sprites.
3. Slimes are the shapeshifters of this story. But if you want to use magic and pets simultaneously, make her a Valkyrie.
4. Please don't include the Kat-Owlite war in her backstory. That's my domain. ;)
My most recent post kind of had Fennel meeting a Seraphynx... oops. I don't suppose that it could be a Sprite that was retrieved before the Collector arrived and took them all? After all, Gremlins would have to:
A. Find out about Sprites.
B. Get permission to take them (which, considering politics today, takes pretty darn long).
C. Get special armor for The Collector.
D. Capture hundreds if not thousands of Sprites scattered throughout the Clockworks.
E. Bring them all to The Collector.
If not, I'll just write a post about losing the Sprite and having Fennel search for it against his common sense, so I'm okay with either way (or any other decision you make).
With Gallon's allegiance being swayn to one who may love him for who he is since his original Brethren,
And that all he has known are supporting the Knights without much question (save for Mortis if the Valkyrie does something drastic),
Then he and Lilith may seek someone who is looking for the same goal: To Achieve ridding Haven of the Knights.
Such aid may come from a certain furry friends...
Just a thought of what may happen, but we'll see.
A. They already know about the sprites - they landed squarely in the gremlins' domain.
B. No permission needed - gremlins are given free reign over the Clockworks.
C. The Collector already exists as a mobile explosives deployment suit.
D. Gremlins exist throughout the Clockworks as well. It's not that hard.
E. The Collector does its own collection work.
@Edolas: Those are some good thoughts there. But there's definitely more to this woman than she's letting on, and she isn't 100% honest with him...
I still haven't introduced my character to anyone yet such as name so it will do good if "Eevee" comes into the story.
Name: Eevee
Fine, but I would have liked to see more creativity here.
Gender: Female
Appropriate for Valkyries.
Age: 32
A bit on the old side, but fine.
Race: Valkyrie
Fine.
Personality: Helps people who are in trouble or are crying. Prefers not to fight unless required and has 2 pets.
Not enough embellishment. I consider the personality section more important than the biography.
Loadout: Light pet acts like Drakon and Dark pet acts like Maskeraith. Has a max cap of 300 mana that restore 1 every 5 seconds. Physic Sense (Allows Eevee to look throughout the level before exploring allowing her to see what enemies, knights etc, costs 0 mana and can only be used once every day), illusion stinger (A much stronger version of the Leviathan Blade, Costs 200 mana), Mega Electron Bolt (Launches a powerful electric bolt at enemies dealing elemental damage, costs 150 mana) and Energy Needles (Shots out a volley of 15 needles (Similar to blitz needle except it deals normal damage, costs 300 mana)
I personally wouldn't have limited her via mana, but then I would have had you nerf her abilities, so it looks fine. I will hold you to your mana system, however.
Appearance
Fine.
Biography: Eevee grew up with the Valkyrie's but was the odd one out because when she reached 10 years old, she never got her wings yet every other 10 year old Valkyrie did. The only difference for not having wings was the fact she was a master with magic and even learned extremely advanced magic that elites could learn and even then, they still had trouble.
All valkyries have wings. You do know that they can summon their wings, right? Their wings are not always visible except on command, so you don't have to provide reasons for her not having them. Give her back her wings.
Also, do you have any idea how strong the elite valkyries actually are? Eevee isn't about to surpass them. The abilities you've noted are peach-easy for elite valkyries to perform. But Eevee doesn't need to be a magical wonder-woman in order to be a good (or bad) character.
When Eevee reached 20 years old, she wasn't allowed to leave because she never had wings. She had to complete an extra test before she could leave and it was to kill all the enemies in the dark room. She then sensed all the enemies which were: Shankle, Wolver, Spookat and Lumber. The other valkyries wondered how she knew the enemies. She restored her mana quickly and launched a Mega Electron Bolt towards the Spookat which destroyed it and even killed the Shankle. The wolver tried to bite her but Eevee quickly turned around and launched another Mega Electron Bolt which killed the Lumber.
Again with the wings. Sensing enemies is a Valkyrian ability common to most high-level practitioners and a few low-level ones.
Eevee had to run around until the next attack was ready. After 16 minutes, she launched the powerful Illusion stinger and killed the wolver and the other Valkyries allowed her to leave and explore Haven. When she reached Haven, she started to help out and never fought unless it was required. Currently she is 32 and is entering a fire Candlestick Keep because she has nothing to do...
This isn't a biography, this is a travel log. I want a biography here. The biography should tell the readers about any events that shaped who she is. Running around Candlestick Keep probably didn't make her into the person she is now.
Who exactly is Mortis talking with?
@Remiliaoftheearth: Where'd you go?
@everyone: In order to keep everyone on track, I'll let you in on a little of the plot. First off, Kora is going to organize the setup of Rescue Camp. I plan to have her send Cypreus to begin the work, and once Remilia shows up, Rhendon will make his first appearance. Rescue Camp will be set up near an "Elevator Access Point," which is an elevator that takes knights down to the Chasm, and then to Haven.
Speaking of which, Haven is an isolated city built in the middle of the Chasm (elevated to the surface). It is unreachable except via an Access Point. Any player currently in Haven can be assumed to have reached it that way. Everyone else must find and use a nearby access point, preferably the one around which Rescue Camp is set up. Rescue Camp's access point is also the place where the Artifact is hidden.
Once all the knight players reach Haven, the next plot segment will begin. Players will dive into the Clockworks for the first time, encountering new foes like Sarcen, the honorable Gremlin gunslinger captain, and new allies like Apollos, the Core-affiliated Apocrean.
I believe Gallon has already met Apollos...
Its Granseal Character who just arrived. Bowie, I believe that was the name targeted in his app and by the way he presented himself to Mortis. Besides, Mortis is dead. Deadmen don't speak very good anyway, learned dat from Disny xD
Sorry - yesterday I was pretending I knew how to carve a pumpkin, and today, well...
Anyways, I'm going to post right now. :P
Yeah, met him.
Yanked me into a bush.
Slippery little blighter that one...
No, it's not fixed. Allow me to write you an example app to work off of.
Name: Eevee
Gender: female
Age: 32
Race: Valkyrie
Personality: helpful, caring, shy around men, dislikes conflict, blunt, energetic
Abilities: Seraphynx & Maskeraith (pets), spatial sensing, psi-blade, thunderbolt, needle-launching
Biography: Eevee was a remarkable child. Unlike most Valkyries, she intuitively grasped the principles behind space-weaving, and became proficient in the art of destruction by the time she was 10. Unfortunately, her growth was stunted by tradition, so she did not substantially improve by the time she left Valhalla at 20 years of age. Realizing her newfound freedom, she took the opportunity to explore Cradle, discovering numerous monsters, the Clockworks, and even the Core itself. She became renowned among Cradle's inhabitants for her unusual concern for living things, and how she often went out of her way to help and heal even the least of creatures.
The rising hostility of the Clockworks took its toll on her, however, and she became increasingly reserved, rarely speaking unless necessary and avoiding the more intelligent species when possible. A close encounter with the flaming foes of the Citadel left her wings clipped, preventing her from flying, and her subsequent war with the undead nearly destroyed her fragile mind.
She has grown stronger since then, but she has never fully recovered.
You can have two sprites? :P (Your edit of Troloe had 2 Sprites)
Also, you never really expressed approval or disapproval for my Sprite grabbing, so is it allowed?
I hope you have something for Bowie in the Town Square. :)
Sorry Mr. Sprite, time to "accidentally" lose you!
Mortis is in Town Square. By the Fountain, which in this time period, could use a good scrubbing. Some one get on that en?
Oh lol, well then he's gone off to lunch
Name : Aestuo
Gender : Male
Age : 32
Race : Zombie Knight
Appearance : A bloodless man covered in blood-stained armor, everything marred by grime and rust. His short hair is as dark as charcoal, which ash falls out of occasionally. His beard, once long, has been cut so that they create a shadow effect on his chin and neck, and it is doubted that these follicles will grow anything back. His eyes burn a hellish scarlet, and a scar glowing amber runs down from his forehead and down his left eye. His neck also has a glowing scar, a clue as to how he died...
Personality : A Machiavellian warrior at heart, Aestuo exists to try and bring everything under his control, even if it means wrestling Vanaduke's power from his cold dead body. However, he tends to be more discreet in his works, as he learned from the failures of his predecessor, the king of the fallen Almire. He can put on many a facade, though his true nature is in the likeness of not fire, but of earth. Sturdy, and flexible to become like sand or metal if destroyed or melted. It's his belief that his domination is an eventuality, not a possibility.
Capabilites :
- Independence from Vanaduke's influence. It's his sheer greed and envy of Vanaduke that protects him from becoming nothing more than a Slag or a totalitarian Legionnaire, and so he retains his sanity and independence prior to the fall of Almire. However, he will not pass on, for his task is still incomplete.
- Instantaneous consecutive dashing. Aestuo's body, while still ravaged by the flames of Vanaduke, operates with exponentially more durability than before, for the fire in his body does not serve the blind, mutable hatred of Vanaduke, but rather the cunning, tenacious hatred of Vanaduke. If he is to steal his predecessor's power, he must have enough power himself to do so.
- A beam of burning light. Though his power is far beyond that of most Almirians, Aestuo's contempt for Vanaduke blinds not his body, but his mental and psychological state. Thus, as opposed to the fixation of Almire, Aestuo's own complex goal prevents him from performing the same attacks that Vanaduke does. However, a bolt of flames will be enough for him, as his primary strength is in his physique.
- Arisen. Aestuo will always revive when enough time has passed, though he'll be in a horrid condition when he reanimates. This action is independent of Totems and Slag Guards, since he isn't affiliated with their forces anymore.
Biography :
Almire, an empire under attack by its neighboring nations. Aestuo, a prominent fighter of Vanaduke's Legion. After having been revived into an undead knight by Vanaduke, Aestuo enviously worked to retake Almire under the Duke's command. However, such was Vanaduke's burning hatred was that it spread throughout the kingdom, eventually destroying all that Almire had to offer. After the two neighboring kingdoms had been destroyed, the Legion had supposedly retired back to the distant mountains or continued serving their liege.
Such was not for Aestuo, who fell into hysterics when he found the ash silhouettes that were his once widespread and prosperous family. Such was not for Aestuo, who burned in the fires of hell for his liege's sake. Such was not for Aestuo, who hated the hateful lord by a hundredfold times more. However, as Vanaduke's blind fury raged on, Aestuo could not simply abandon the Legion without being obliterated by his own.
Instead, he trained harder and harder, surpassing the limits of most Almirian Legionnaires, slowly pulling away from his lord's influence. Finally, he made a mad dash for the mountains that once helped Vanaduke, to seek the same power that his predecessor had gained. However, when he found the cave, the altar that Vanaduke used was gone, and the warmth emanating from its ashen floors was nothing more than a tepid flow of hot air.
Aestuo, despite his shortcoming here, managed to get far away enough so that not even Vanaduke himself could chase down the soldier. For a long time, Aestuo wandered about these mountains, contemplating and conspiring against his immortal enemy to take him down.
And, as he had resolved to conquer the whole of Cradle before Almire itself, the Knights came.
And he knew the Knights would be able to take Almire by a huge margin if they received support. The Gremlins, Strangers, and Apocreans would not comply, and now his sights are set on the newcomers...
Faction : Neutral
Loadout :
- Alimirian Crusader Set.
- Almirian Doru (Lance)
- Cold Iron Vanquisher
Well, if its an undead; if he hung around Mortis long enough and were to slip up. The aura that emits off Mortis would bring him back to life. The fact Almirian Shadow Guardians put off an aura like that of a Grim Totem. Normal Almirian Guards can use this as a Active effect meaning they have to summon back who they want, which limits them to two or less Undead of any kind being revived.
The Almirian Shadow Guardian On the other hand have the same effect as the Grim Totem but as a passive meaning its always working and they have no control over why they bring back. So they could call back any undead, even if that undead was brain dead and walks right into the same trap, over and over and over. Kinda down grade from the normal Almirian Guardian. Since the normal one could pick which undead it wants back.
The only down side is a Almirian Shadow Guardian who summons back an undead, also effects it with the shadow curse. Meaning it adds 'Curse' status to it. There is a 30-35% chance that the undead called back by a Shadow Guardian will turn into a Carnavon instead of what it was before.
Also Side note: I love your Stranger :3 she is so awesome. I just like her mind set and way she is slightly different then other Strangers. More caring and protecting in a since towards the Knights. Thankfully did not attack Mortis just because he is an undead Almirian Shadow Guardian :L
Yeah yeah I know that there's those things. I didn't get to Vanguard without knowing quite a lot of lore on the way :P
And Ophelia doesn't like Knights.
She's obsessed with them. Ever since she lost her Snipe, she's had this fixation with trying to mother little things, perhaps even going beyond just mothering them and wanting to control them like slaves. Since the guard helped save one of the little ones, she views him asa a good person :P
Is this one-scene NPC fine?
