I have already taken a move, it was when Evie revealed me and I said something and then started to fly... So why are you saying you are waiting on me?
Skylark Down (discussion)
There isn't much to do in Emberlight, so Thin needs to add stuff because who ever heard of heroes getting a break? :P
Its call down time. Every hero must take time to rest and be ready. Regroup and prepare. We are not heros. Just a group of men and women trying to make the world a better place and get home once again.
Thou we may lose men and women of great valor and honor. We will never for get there faces and there deeds. The places they have shown us and the things they have done for them. For in there memory we hold our blades to defend what they have done and with our shields we make sure there rest is eternal and in peace.
So Lo, on to you now I say with pride and a bit of gruff. Take your Rest now 'Heroes' for the future is not in stone and tomorrow, you might just pass away. No take your place and hone you blades for now we take our rest and brake.
Dont know how to continue without some objective presenting itself.
The only thing Gallon could do is either:
A) See the Owlite as a threat and throw a spear at its face.
B) See the Owlite as the cause of his nose-bleed and Messing with his head, throwing a spear at its face, thusly.
C) Sleep and Dream about Vanaduke & Throwing Sharp objects at flying things.
Really, basically death which means, another new app... Better start thinking again.
Also, the owlite just crashed into a wall and if you try to hurt him, you hurt Evie since she is trying to help...
Fennel doesn't like killing things that much, to be honest. His rationale is thus:
Kill if necessary only. He has less guilt over Undead and Constructs, as they are technically nonliving. Same goes with nonsentient creatures, but he loathes killing unless he or something he wishes to defend is threatened. Thus, he's a good negotiator: not eager to fight, but is willing to if needed, and well, too. Thus, Tyvell is not likely to be killed unless Gallon attacks before Fennel can react and try to stop him. :P
I hate to push onto ya, but what happened to The Core lady (Mother as it where) Did I miss a part xD Sorry just asking since as it stands I am in the presence of your characters and are stoppedd.
Name: Aisha
Age: 65
Gender: Female
Race: Ghostmane Stalker
Loadout: Chaos Cloak, Chaos Helm (Which also acts like a shadow cloak), Darkfang shield, 5* saw blade they use
Appearance
Personality: Smart, only kind to gremlins that aren't traitors, loves to slowly stalk pray, loves using hit and run tactic, not much of a talker and when caught, just stays quiet unless tortured.
Biography: Aisha is and has always been a good stalker even when she was young. When she was old enough to join the legion, she started to use her saw blade as a hit and run tactic. She even mastered this tactic and attacked them with her cloak up. As she was growing, Warmaster Seerus saw her potential as an elite and decided to make her one.
She started to complete the tough tasks on her own without much problem. However, as she was getting much older, Seerus gave her a simple task, bring in anyone who could be a threat to the gremlins that aren't in Emberlight. She was a little annoyed with the easier task but she caught tons of threats including Metal Sonic. She is currently blending in with the gremlins in Emberlight medical center to check the situation out.
Because of the insanely powerful attack, Evie is out for the count for a full day and she has a broken arm. Not to mention, other enemies on the floors below and above can easily, easily hurt her.
Is there anything restricting me from making an App for a Crimson Order Gremlin?
I have plans for a Gremlin "messed around" by Herex.
Lol I wonder. if Mortis where alive, think he would try and take Noswyn out. Of course it kinda makes him look like a bit of a cheap scape because she did everything to him and the best he could offer was a night out on Haven...If he was still 'alive' in the since he was not a walking skeleton powered by the Core it's self. It does not seemed to have had a messed with his way of thinking. Thou being a dead twice over is something very uncommon.
title says all and it's been a full day...
YOu have to give Thin more time. He is not a robot to do manythings at once. He his only human.
I can sympathize with Thin, having just had a busy day. Xe has a job, apparently
Quality over quantity.
You've made a pretty decent app there. I would have liked your personality section to be filled out more, but I'll let it slide. The app is accepted.
@Vinnydime & Hexlash: I'll let your two characters speak for a while before moving their plot forward. The next plot section will be pretty important to the story. ;)
Time to make my Antagonist Gremlin App:
Name: Ricochette
Age: N/A, But was Re-created by Herex 2 Years ago
Gender: Male
Race: Gremlin Knocker, but the size of a Thwacker.
Equipment: Belt with Flash-Bombs/Grendades. 2 Black-Hawkes. Seeker Goggles (One Lens Vibration Tracker, One Lens Heat Seeking), Combat Knife.
Apperance: Red Fur with a Purple Tinge, Static Green Mohawk with rings pierced into each spike. 2 Elongated Fangs on the lower Jaw. Conected wires visible coming out of his head around the back. Sleeveless white Shirt, with Dark Grey Waistcoat. Symbol of the Crimson Order is etched into the back. Robotic Spine is visible from the exterior. Baggy Black Leggings. Bare feet.
Personality: Insane. Introduces his present by mad laughing. Relishes Adrenaline, and the thrill of a Hunt over anything else. Bears no concern for personal safety, even if it would result in his own death. Is loyal to The Crimson Order, but really just follows Herex. Wirings and Cybernetics in his head cause him immense pain every so often, making him lash out at anything in a panic, Friend and/or Foe. Adores to use his 2 Guns over other combat. Pushes himself to the maximum to make the best use of his weapons. Is incredibly acrobatic and Flexible, rivalling the speed of a Ghostmane despite his larger frame. This is due to a Mechanically enhanced Spine. This would be his weakpoint if anyone could manage to get behind him.
Bio: The Alarms rang through-out the factory, as a certain Knocker had gotten himself trapped in the Tesla Reactor. The shocked on-lookers could only watch in horror as the poor Gremlin was electrocuted to his untimely demise. The facility was cleared and put into lockdown. This warning didnt deter a certain Scientist to take ahold of a new Subject. As the clean-up crews entered the factory, the body of the recently demised Gremlin could not be found. Whoever the soul was, it was under Herex's jurisdiction now.
Lights were eminating from Herex's laboratory as he began to bring life back to the Knocker. Instead of calling in the aid of Menders, who used the Power of the Core to revive allies, this crazy scientist believed that Science could be the sole reason for revival. And if he could prove that, then they could be independant from the Core's energy, and expand themselves across the universe. The mad Gremlin was injecting the corpse with all matter of chemicals and fluids, not gaining any response. He took it upon himself to force a response soon after, beginning work on enhancing the Knocker with Cybernetic components.
Much time passed, before the Robotics stopped flickering and sparking in and around the Patient's head. Herex laughed to himself every so often it spurts, as the Ex-Gremlin's spark of life flickered back into reality. Its head twitched every so often, and it kept shrugging involuntarily, but it was alive. And Herex was ecstatic. He addressed the creation of his, who reacted to his voice instantly.
"You, Creation. Your life from before ended in the factory. From this point forward, you are my pride and proof that we dont need to rely on the Core. I shall call you Ricochet...No Ricochette. Sounds more elequant and graceful. More deadly. And details the weapons you will be using". Herex handed Ricochette 2 Guns, of Shadowy Design. The newly brought-back Gremlin took them both in hand, and began to feel the guns' weights and shape. Herex continued as his bemused creation did so. "Those are 2 Fast-Firing Guns of a Shadow Element. Perfect for certain 'Tasks' I will soon give you. To aid you further is a Robotic spine for greater movement and reflex, and an enhanced brain to keep up with the tempo of the battlefield without the countless years of training". Herex held up a rough disc in his hand and blew off the dust. "These are Training modules given to Mecha-Knights. They should aid you if we give you the Ranged selection". Herex chuckled to himself, as he hooked up an array of archaic looking machines into the head of the vacant Creation. More lights blurred from the windows, as Herex's inductions toward his creation were well underway.
Several Months had passed since Ricochette's creation, and other Scientists were getting weary of herex's Experiments. The current Knocker that a certain inventor had sent to recover some of Herex's blueprints had entered the lair of a spider waiting to strike. From the rafters of the derelict establishmet, goggles flickered into life and revealed the concerned Knocker pacing into the warehouse. The goggles flickered from Night-Vision to Sonar, as the "spider" jumped down and darted to the side. The Knocker looked in the direction of the sound, only to be met with darkness. A noise erupted to his side, he jumped and looked in the direction it had come from when he paused. A slow cackle was eminating from behind him. From outside the warehouse, a dim flash of purple could be seen, to the noise of a gunshot.
Herex's minion, hound and greatest creation were rolled into one as the Cybernetic Gremlin Ricochette. A Gremlin who had been tuned up for Battle and personal missions for Herex. Its robotics served it well, besides certain design flaws which could be quite major if discovered. But the fear that came from the laugh of his creation was almost as bad as the monster itself.
Hey everyone, what's up? I've been off the forums for over a month (not sure how long exactly, I lost count)
So, what'd I miss? Also, how's this RP going?
The RP is going a bit slow, but it's making progress. You haven't missed much. Rhendon is escorting Veru and Naomi to an access point (elevator to Haven), the Collector has been destroyed, Mortis (the Dreadnaught) met the being inhabiting the Core (named Eva, better-known as "Noswyl" among Cradle's inhabitants), and Sir Gallon of Almire is gallivanting around with Spanner (Emberlight mender) and Jorin.
Well currently, after Emberlight's semi-demolition.
Jorin & Spanner are aiding in the reconstruction
While Gallon and the others are a level down ready to head out...
As soon as an event that would move the plot along came about.
Also, how about my Antagonist, Crazy, Gunner Gremlin app?
I plan on killing myself altogether now, because I'm pretty sure I'm having visions. Visions of Cypreus standing in front of me, doing nothing....
@Edolas: It was a really tough call, but your application is rejected. I'd like you to focus on Gallon, and your gremlin poses challenges to the story that are not easily handled.
@Topoyozariane: Frankly, I have no idea how to handle Herston's disability. I don't know how it happened, how to use it, or how to work around it. I was hoping that we could pretend that it didn't happen at all, but seeing as you didn't take the hint from Cypreus' comments, I'm at a loss.
@Deadly-Sin-Revenge: Then become conscious. ;)
I wonder if Thin will allow Evie to be corrupted or not... Either Eva will teleport Evie out of the unknown passage to the Sanctuary or Evie will be corrupted and work with the swarm power
One does not simply find Shadow Keys lying on the ground.
It came from the collector when it blew up and it fell out when Fennel picked Evie up and Tyvell started to look at it. Tyvell then rescued Evie and dropped the shadow key... There you go Thin
One does not simply Walk to the Clockwork Terminal at D23.
(Fairly sure we would be at 19 since its the Elevator from Emberlight).
I want the Shadow Lairs to be a unique, dangerous, and scary experience. And frankly, I'm not prepared to tell that part of the story just yet. I have some cool stuff planned for it, so I hope it'll be worth waiting for.
Besides, the characters first need to see the regular bosses before their Void variants will have any significance.
Don't always self rightingly throw your self under the buss. Also, why did you bring the swarm into this so early. There was no need :L. I feel like I have been here before, have I been here before?
Anyway, it was a needless toss at an enemy that was not mean to be known yet. At this time in the Spiral Order's time they don't know what the Swarm is and have yet to let it out or found it. It seems like this was a quick ploy to get your character alined with the Swarm as quickly as possible because logicly they don't know where your character is or how it got there. Thus they can really do nothing about it. Remember the Shadow Gates are locked. Once you go down, no one else can join you.
Also, don't always rely on Thin for help. Be proactive and Man the fack up (Or Woman the fack up.) and grow a set (Or grow a passage) and do it your self. Just because Thin made the story and is leading the damned NPC does not mean he has to cater to all your needs and problems. Some of them can be though about before just happing. I know it sounds like a rant but I am trying to be kind hits the less swears.
On the topic at hand, Sin you could have just avoided all that, called the elevator back, went to the Spiral Order, and told them about the gate before just saying. "Heres my key let me get Corrupted please!" ... Just no.
Also, @Thin: Sorry for having to say something but it gets on my nerves every time...
Allow me to describe how this works. Unless otherwise noted, the Clockworks operates the same way it does in-game. One previously noted exception is the increased size of the levels. No further exceptions were made regarding Shadow Lairs. Hence, they have the following properties:
- Their keys are extremely rare and expensive to acquire. Thus, they can only be granted by the moderator.
- They are located at the D23 terminal. Players must pass through depths 19-22 before reaching them.
- Unlocking a Shadow Lair locks the D22 elevator until the Shadow Lair elevator has left (locking the party).
- Once the Shadow Lair elevator returns to D23, it locks again.
- An open wound must be created before Swarm corruption is possible. The Knights' armor prevents this under normal circumstances.
- Swarm infection only occurs via Swarm Seed. Swarm Seed is not found anywhere near a Shadow Lair entrance.
Note that some of these rules have exploitable loopholes (yay!). If the Clockworks control center can be found, then some of the elevators are reversible. This means that players can join D23 even after the Shadow Lair is unlocked if the return elevator to Haven or the D24 elevator travel in the reverse direction. Swarm corruption may occur if a Knight's bodysuit is somehow torn or removed. A Shadow Lair Key can be acquired without moderator permission if a player character has plausibly acquired enough CE to purchase one.
ANd yes I can see sone Loopholes, but most of them are rather air tight. So its a nice little locked in sort of feel.
One does not fight 11 bosses at the same time. Kinda hard to fight with fat Vanny * 2 squishing you.
@Sandwich: You know the roarmulus twins and red roarmulus twins will most like blow up the jellys and deal tons of damage on the vanadukes. Besides, they are only preparing since Evie is getting corrupted...
@Deadly-Sin-Revenge: Since when did the Roarmulus Twins come into this?? They don't even exist yet!
Even if the Twins were in, Vanaduke wouldnt really be taking much damage.
Vanny is a Fiend Type, so the Elemental Damage of the Twins would only be Normal.
Red RT dealing Fire Damage to a Fire Fiend isnt going to be great.
But as said, they dont even exist.
So lets try and shift subject before this turns into a "Who would win..." thread.
Currently, we only have Snarbolaxes confirmed to exist (rabid ones, from Ophelia's POV). Roarmulus Twins don't exist yet, there can't be 2 Vanaduke's, and they aren't even in the main story save for Gallon, and the jellies have no reason to be there.
Vanaduke is/was Gallon's Superior.
Gallon made peace with himself, seeing Vanaduke perished in the fire along with the rest of his life.
Big question around Gallon is if he would still serve Vanaduke.
He's already picked up Vanaduke's Presence, when Creeper's Mind Message let in Big, Dark and Fiery as an image and that little tune.
The Closer Gallon gets to FSC, the more he'll be drawn toward his Ex-Master.
The SL Vanny doesnt really exist yet, not until current Vanny is dealt with.
(Then there'd be something for the Swarm to corrupt).
I will bring back Gardevoir (Who will be called Gardy now) but as a helper spirit since she was cremated.
So... Evie will be corrupted and the "Boss wave" was part of the swarm taking over her mind and showing her a creepy image until she was fully corrupted.
What? There's swarm invovled already?
Plus. Herston's ready to search.
Thin pretty much just said you can't go to the Shadow Lairs yet. >.> Xyr said that:
-You need mod permission to get a key
-It ruins the storyline by prematurely having the Swarm but in
Evie's corruption sequence is just so wrong on many levels.
- Corruption is only meaningful for characters we care about. I hate to say it, but it's been hard to care for Evie.
- It occurred too soon. As stated above, we never got to care for her, and we aren't familiar enough with her uncorrupted state to fully grasp the difference.
- It violates the roleplay rules I've outlined. Instead of redacting like you were supposed to, you went ahead with your storyline. I made those rules for a reason: because without them, the story would pretty much break.
- Evie's corruption occurred incorrectly. How many times do I have to tell you that the Swarm must draw blood before corruption can occur?
Fix it.
WARNING: Once Evie become fully corrupted, you will no longer be allowed to play with her. She will become another NPC for me to use, because the Swarm is strictly the domain of the moderator (me), so if you want to be able to use Evie, you must not allow her to corrupt.
Hex, I would tell you how to make subject lines go away, but I would have to kill you.
Actually, just put "0" in the subject line.
Anyways:
The jelly cube is just hilarious. Did you two plan it out? Or did you just go with it?
Well, then again, maybe we should, since it'll be a random Snarbolax going all "derpy derp, Imma go to Emberlight!"
ROUND ONE:
Fennel used telekinesis to stun Snarby with boulders.
Gallon beat the tar out of Snarby with his halberd.
Jorin tossed a Nitronome at it.
Spanner did some weird Gremlin dance thing because I can't think of anything else he would need to do.
Snarby fainted!
...So yeah, randomly having a Snarby pop into Emberlight isn't the best plan XD
