For those of you who weren't aware of this amazing achievement:

Last Sunday night, The Jempire celebrated their 100th consecutive leaderboard win as the #1 Lockdown Guild in Spiral Knights! As Jempire marches forward towards the two-year mark, a new generation of players now carry the torch forward.

Back in 2011, when we first founded Jempire on Spiral Knights, I never really imagined we would end up growing as much as we have. When we started, it was all just about finding some like-minded friends to run with, hosting a few events for the community, and waiting for the next big SK content drop.

Our goals were small but modest, and though we joked about taking over the world, we never really imagined that would happen. I saw a number of members with great potential, and promoted them - Dothackerduo, Kennyn, Huntr, and soon after, Chikamatsu, Espira, and Damon-Drake, who formed our original Officer Team. Of course, having a co-GM who has been your best friend for over ten years (Ruyter) helps, too.

And somewhere along the line, everything just clicked. We found not just success, but an abundance of it - and, as our teamwork increased and our friendships grew stronger, our strength as a guild began to grow, too. Remembering back to that very first week that PvP came out, and how Jempire was the underdog team, behind by almost 30,000 points going into the weekend... Somehow, we ramped up to an amazing comeback to steal away 1st place from a guild called "Active" at the time. It was a great victory for us as a team, and though we didn't know it yet, a sign of things to come.

A lot of players who joined Spiral Knights within the last two years probably only know Jempire as the #1 PvP guild, able to take down any team of six that gets thrown against us. The old A team defeated Aequitas' A team in a series of three matches that still holds the record for most spectators in SK history, and the new generation Jempire A team has proven their mettle, too - downing the best teams that any guild can put together now, even when star players combine.

But for as perfect as all that sounds, the truth is, back when we first started, that totally was not us. We fell hard against teams with better gear (like Finesse with their heart pendants), and even as we began our #1 streak, we ran into a lot of challenges that required us to change our way of thinking - and playing.

And as the months went by, we continued to grow, and grow, and grow. We won some, lost some, and kept pushing ourselves to learn from those losses. But more than anything else, we never stopped playing. As old generations began to fade out, new ones came in to fill their shoes.

We've grown stronger and have overcome much in our 100 weeks at the top. We've made a great number of friends, and (naturally) a few enemies, but we're thankful for the fun times all the same.

Jempire, you guys are truly, truly, truly amazing. I said it back when we finished a year, but I'll say it again now - and with just as much amazement. It's an honor to see our guild still working together, growing together, and having fun together, at such a level as I see here. There's no other guild in the game that compares on that front, and it's humbling to look back on all the things we've accomplished, together.

Onward, then, to a full two years.

If 100 straight leader board wins isn't an accomplishment, it means winning one week is easy.
By that logic all guilds having played GvG since Jempire's first week cannot succeed with an easy task in Spiral Knights.

What does The Jempire have that no other guild CAN GET? NOTHING! It's all a matter of effort and leadership.

^ This is the Jempire I remember seeing and meeting when I started out. My guild at the time had some GvG Blast Network rounds with them (back when it was popular and lots of people played) and their GMs were really nice and against insulting their opponents.

Maybe I've been disconnected from this for so long, but it's really weird how much hate that guild gets (in-game, too) lol.

They -are- huge and they (and their sister guild[s]) would unsurprisingly be at the top of the leaderboards. I can just imagine they'd end up landing matches with each other often lol (and matches = points, right?), but that aside, congrats for keeping at it! :;

To celebrate this minor

To celebrate this minor accomplishment that only Jempire themselves care about as all it means is that they clicked a button more then other people... hmm...
And then to use that type of scoring system to back up a claim that you're the #1 PvP guild...
..Between that and the garbage spark revving/AT restoration?
Yep, you guys sure are winners.

Regardless of their intentions and even if they don't start the flame wars, posts like these that put fuel on the fire make them just as if not more guilty then the people they claim to be better then. Lack of modesty comes with being #1 I suppose. Probably a good idea to keep the gloating on your personal forums.

On another note...

I ate the most waffles among my family this morning. Time to celebrate! I so pro!

Did you notice that Mawamashimo isn't a part of The Jempire? She went to our website, copied the post, and posted it here. As far as I know, she quit or was removed from the guild after some drama. I have no idea why Mawa posted this here as I don't believe she has a positive view of The Jempire so my only guess is that she posted it to fuel the flame war. She evidently succeeded with that no matter what her intentions were. Hey, you even proved it yourself. You claim we are #1 on the leaderboards because we play GLD the most of all and already in the next sentence, you're pointing out abuse of mechanics considered cheap. I'll have you know that we've hardly revived with Sparks of Life at all, really. It has cost pure energy until a few days ago!

No matter, I find people who aren't part of The Jempire linking to our front page posts more than we do. It's strange, isn't it?

Mawashimono celebrates 100 straight weeks as the #1 Princess

Last week, Mawashimono celebrated her 100th consecutive week as the #1 Princess in Spiral Knights! As The Dragon Princess marches forward towards the two-year mark (which by her guesstimate, is, uh, about 4 weeks away), a new generation of players now carries a torch for her.

Back in 2011, when she first started playing Spiral Knights, she never really imagined she would end up becoming as awesome as she has. When she started, it was all just about finding some like-minded dragons to run with, hosting a few fashion events for the community, and waiting for the next big SK content drop.

Her goals were small but modest, and though she joked about taking over the world, she never really imagined that would happen. She saw a number of accessories with great potential, and equipped them – her ultra rare and ultra-envy-provoking Regal Wings, her shiny Sunshine Aura, her tiara-like Volcanic Halo, and of course, her Radiant Silvermail signature look. Of course, having such an innate sense of good fashion for many years helped her, too.

And somewhere along the line, everything just clicked. She found not just success, but an abundance of it - and, as her royalty increased and her fan base grew larger, her supremacy as a princess began to grow, too. Remembering back to that very first week that accessories came out, and how the Dragon Princess was the underdog princess, behind many other talented princesses going into the weekend... Somehow, she ramped up to an amazing comeback to steal away 1st place from a princess called "Ima-Princess" at the time. It was a great victory for her as a princess, and though she didn't know it yet, a sign of things to come.

A lot of players who joined Spiral Knights within the last two years probably only know The Dragon Princess as the #1 Spiral Knights Princess, able to outshine any other princess in the game. Her old outfits defeated other princess best looks in a fashion showdown that still holds the record for most spectators in SK history, and the Dragon Princess has proven her mettle, too – de-throning the best outfits that any princess can put together now, even when star princesses combine.

But for as perfect as all that sounds, the truth is, back when she first started, that totally was not her. She fell hard against princesses with better accessories (like Rommil with his pretty tiaras), and even as she began her #1 streak, she ran into a lot of challenges that required her to change her way of thinking - and dressing.

And as the months went by, she continued to get prettier and prettier and prettier. She won some beauty pageants, lost some, and kept pushing herself to learn from those losses. But more than anything else, she never stopped playing dress-up. As old princess challengers began to fade out, new ones came in to try to fill her glass slippers.

She has grown stronger and has overcome much in her 100 weeks as the top princess. She’s made a great number of friends, and (naturally) a few jealous enemies, but she’s thankful for the fun times all the same.

Dragon Princess fans, you guys are truly, truly, truly amazing. She said it back when she finished a year, but she’ll say it again now - and with just as much amazement. It's an honor to see her fan club still working together, growing together, and having fun together, at such a level as she sees here. There's no other princess fan club in the game that compares on that front, and it's humbling to look back on all the things she’s accomplished with your support.

Onward, then, to a full two years (which, uh, like she said, is less than a month away)!

I had no idea what guild she was in. My fault for assuming... why on earth she would post something like this is beyond me or anyone else probably.

The mentioning of AT restoration and Spark/CE revving were just side notes. Both of those have really left a bitter taste in my mouth and have drained a lot of my motivation for playing in general. I had hopes the game would be getting more competative with both of those ridiculous aspects fading away, but alas it's going back to what it was.

A shame the little apparent improvements on the game were considered "bugs".

Because of tactics man. You use tactics.

3 CPs? 2 guardians, 4 strikers. Cap 1 and 2, then leave a striker with pola and a guardian with VT to defend it. Should one of them die, ce rev dat thang.
If the enemy team is too weak, the guardian on CP1 goes to help and heal the strikers chilling at the base, and the strikers on CP1 and 2 join the fight leaving 1 guardian to defend CP2 since the enemy team won't even reach CP1 anyway.

The rest of the strikers just chill in front of the enemy base.

You can't tell me this isn't one of your many tactics, I've seen it more times than I care to admit.

Current leaderboards are a joke reto.

Last time I checked the entire list was composed of only 2 guild, who played a total of 2 matches. I reckon it's not very hard to stay on top when no one else is playing.

Someone suggested in another thread to give the top 10 guilds a weekly price for being in the top 10. Which is a great idea, it would certainly make this feat all the more impressive.

I'm only gonna respond to Theirillusion in full as I'm funking too tired to make an effort:

What does Jempire have that no other guild has? The will to even try this nonsense.
The leader boards are a joke, so no one bothers. Jempire seemingly does, so they can have it.

I know your playstyle, and it's one I certainly respect. Buuuuuuut:
It's simply a number's game. You might not AT, polaris, spam, whatever, but the fact is that a higher percentage of jemps do.
And while not every game starts out like it, Hades has a point when he says it more often than not does turn out like that when you're on the losing side.

@starlight: Yes, because the people opposing a Jempire point of view certainly never make valid arguments. Never. Ever.

@mydearkrakob: You've been Jempified.

The one thing that Jempire has that other guilds don't is most reasonably time and dedication. Not gonna argue that one, and people can interpret it however they want - without time or dedication, you wouldn't see 100 weeks of anything except being a couch potato.

It's just the presentation with which you all (intentionally or inadvertently, given how Washing Machine made this one) end up going with, in regards to the LD community here. I have a blast playing against most of you in RLD. I mean, playing against the odds a bit in matches with Icy, Lsky, Luthi and a few others I've run into the last few weeks (and winning a few despite different circumstances for a lot of them) has been great. I've even subbed for other guilds just to mess with you guys while you're running a team in GvG mostly for my own amusement. But after seeing a thread like this every couple of weeks in regards to Jempire and the Leaderboards, one can assume one of following:

a) the leaderboards genuinely have no bearing on anything and Jempire is clinging to some semblance of relevancy in comparison to other guilds
b) Jempire genuinely has no interest in touting the achievement, and everyone else is responsible for shining the spotlight back on this issue
c) Washing Machine got stuck on spin cycle again and mistook Darkcub for Jempire, and now has everyone in a tiff for all the wrong reasons
d) Everyone needs to take a step back and realize you're arguing over... what, exactly?
e) Both c and d are correct

I'm gonna go with letter "e", even though I feel like "c" is more correct. Realistically, why is this issue still even worth discussing? It's the same people, time and time again, trying to argue over a point that has just lost relevancy. So I'm just gonna hop off this boat before it's too late. You all enjoy, now.
