Before you go and say "Move to Suggestions" "Move to Graveyard", read the summary first.

What do you see as dual wielding?

Now that I have your attention, this is a legitimate question. I ask this because I see several suggestions that alter the idea, but it's still the same concept of wielding two weapons. I ask this because I want to see and know how dual wielding would be implemented if it were added to the game. Most of all, I ask this because I'm curious. Why do so many people want dual wielding? And why do so many more not want dual wielding?

What is it? Being able to use 2 weapons at once.
Why not? Lag it would give (Polaris already annoying in that regard, image 2 of them at same time). Bias with it towards guns. Double damage and speed for no totally gamebreaking constant cons (like trading shield for 2nd weapon). Being able to create choke points with Polaris and overall spam.

dual wield questions?

How about making an ammo system for guns so that there's no infinite reloads? Enemies could drop ammo rounds, but they would be random Ammunition so you would spam less.

and how is dual wielding going to deal double/crit damage? You didn't specify if the weapons were going to be swung/shot/detonated at the same time.

How about something else to think about?

Why not two handed broadswords?

But seriously, if we had two handed weapons instead of duel wielding, the developers would have an easier time giving players the option to use heavy weapons with two hands (there would also be two handed only weapons).

This would give players a bit more of a challenge.

Sleep on it a little.

I have no idea how this got into suggestions, but I'm not gonna question it. Nor do I know what makes it a suggestion.

This is how I see it: if Dual Wielding was implemented, then people would have two weapons at once. They'd be able to use it wherever, whenever, however, on whoever and whatever.

This is where I get confused: how would the general mechanics work for Dual Wielding? Is it one click per swing each swing? Is it two buttons, one for each weapon? Do you click and the knight uses both weapons? How does this apply to bombs?

About the bombs

@Sonosuke: I think nothing would change to bombs if Dual Wielding were implemented.
When you charge up a bomb, you hold it with both hands, so that's actually already kind of dual wielding, i guess...

I was also wondering, how would shields work if you would use two weapons?

Lol 3rd time. Every time the op writes this is not a suggestion the thread gets put in the suggestion forum.

Maybe he knows how to move threads. I mean he/she is the one who created it.

GMs

...can shift topics, too.

But i agree that it is less a suggestion but more a question to players and such would rather fit to the general discussion section.

By the way, there have been many wielding suggestions before and ideas like *lay 2 bombs at once* were thought about.

As far as I know, Nick did answer to one of these threats ones and said that 'shields are really necessary for T3' and thus he can't imagine to fully remove them. But he continued that he could think about 'Dual wielding as a new class' aside gunners, bombers and swordies; a completely new type of weapon.

Well, there have been other suggestions, aswell, but you can search as effective as I do.

I know the GMs moved the thread. Why they did it and why here of all places, that I don't know.
