Making SK run faster

I'm curious how I can make the game run faster.

I've already increased my heap size (I think) and I use a Game Booster to turn off all non-essential programs while I play.

What else can I do to get a better more consistent FPS rate and faster level load times?

Help me build a SK Calculator

It has some quick reference charts, and, a mist calculator. It tells you when your mist will be full based on how much you have now.

I'd like to have it include more things, but I'll need some help, as I'm still new. I'm handy with excel and calculations, so just tell me what it needs and let me worry about the how.

NOTE
I've sent a few of you (good quality posters) a note in the mail if I thought/think you may know things that could help.

Good uses for mist

On days I don't play much I accumulate mist. I'd like to do something productive with it, but I'm not sure what. Any tips?

Good gunner gear

I've been told Wolver gear is good for starting Swordmasters, and, I found out myself that Demo gear is good for starting Bombers.

But what about starting Gunners? All their good stuff does not start until 3 star. What is some good 2 star gear for gunners?

Origin of "Spiral" and pre-game Lore?

Why are they called "Spiral" Knights exactly? They're not from the Wiz/Pirate 101 games and their world isn't called Spiral, so why are they called that?

Can someone give me some pre-crash lore about the Spiral Knights and their world? Thanks!

Does selling sealed swords and Antiguas still withhold a profit? Y'know, after the unbinding and price of energy, I'm sketchy if you can still make a profit.
