I'd love to change my 4 star honor gear into it's 5 star version someday.. And I'm sure other's would like it as well.

They should be upgradable. They are ceremonial swords to symbolize our rank. Seems as though they should upgrade as our ranks upgrade.
Also,
OOO gave them out with very little lead time. They are adamant about treating everyone the same in their support ticket responses. Yet, people who were at home had time to get the update notes, read them, and rank up right quick for 5* stuff. Those of us at work, got home, read the patch notes, and then accepted our ceremonial mail.
I only had the last 3 missions to become vanguard (all talking missions no less, not even any gameplay). It would have taken me all of 15 seconds 2 do them. But i was at work, by the time i got home, i'd already received my 4* versions, missing out on the 5* variety. I guess its fine, one less thing to roll on, but its still not entirely equitable.
OOO should consider putting up patch notes for changes a day or two in advance (not for hotfixes tho). Rather than repeating this process where they annoy players by releasing them an hour or two early, thus enriching those who happened to be home, and leaving out those who don't. [this scenario with the honor gear, any scenario with UV ticket compensation, etc....]

OOO gave no lead time. The whole point was that it was sudden; nobody got warning, nobody got to read the patch notes in advance of the update. They might as well have just given a weeks notice as it'd have been equally point defeating.

Upgrading does not devalue your precious Lionheart Blade. One year from now, most of the people who got any type of Honor Blade will have quit anyone who got one will be a Vanguard (or higher if they make that). What the rest of us would like is simply a chance to USE our Honor Gear for more than a week.

"Oh god, this again"? You brought it up; I never mentioned anything about it, as I've lost energy to keep explaining why you're missing the point entirely. There's several threads all over the entire forums for him to read if he wants a debate; I won't turn this thread into another massive argument. If you want to continue complaining that your free stuff isn't good enough, or that you want to use gear that was made as a fashion and even in the items description clearly states that it wasn't meant to be used, then you can feel free to do so without intervention.
I was only commenting that he was wrong about the patch notes, as nobody got any warning. When I see someone mention something in need of correcting, I just like to clarify the issue. I didn't want him to feel cheated, after all, so just letting him know he had the exact same chances as everyone else :)

I have the 4 star gear, and honestly, you really don't understand the concept of rewarding players who've stuck with the game long enough to get something special out of it, because yes, the 5-star gear IS cheapened when anyone can get it. Players who acquired the ability to get the 5-star gear deserve to have some level of exclusivity because they competed all the missions, and Threerings wants to give them something nice, and something that's valuable because of it. If you didn't get there, tough. Better luck next time. It just makes you look silly when you're unhappy with the reward you already have and demand that those who actually worked for what they got be brought down to your level.

Guys.. I'm asking, not demanding. Besides, since it's actually a weapon and shield, You're either gonna use it or it's gonna collect dust in your invo. And most 5 star players won't be using a levi reskin over their divine avenger or Final flourish. All I ask is the possibility to earn a 5 star honor blade. Besides, I've stuck with this game since long before these missions even came out, and the only reason I'm not a vanguard is because I'm not very good at the game. But I stay with it because it's fun, though that's besides the point.

I get that, no worries. Just there are some people that delude themselves that they deserve better, and hence there is a lot of hate circulating. Hate I'm tired of.
I only have 4* myself, and wouldn't mind an upgrade at all. But can we save it until the 'Homecoming event' is over? I'm sure people like Brady will be more willing to rationally discuss possible paths from there, right now, he's a bit ticked that we're asking right after being given free stuff.

Also the trolls should have left by then and everyone would have calmed down significantly.

Why not make them sellable?
Reading them posted links, I came to the conclusion that there are people who want Honourable upgrades, and those who don't. Like any other suggestion (surprised by the heatfests, holy herr).
This is the part where I present my three dollar bill...
It was simply a bad time to start up this game again... quitting 4 month ago, I was blind to everything; altered shards, rear slots (it's completely furry, surprisingly), and now this. News was awoken to me simply by reading the mail, I got a set of 2-stars to ease the fresh grind, and the cost was realised soon after. My brother, who has been playing this game longer than I have, was at endgame, even before I quit, and he showed me what he got, a BF/Sword n' shield combo that screams "#CHARISMA". It was the shield to fill in my useless shield slot (since I am the kind of person who only uses it as a whacking board), so I aspire to equip it one day, until I found out that wasn't possible in the first place. Neither sellable or upgradable; strange, was I really going to bum-rush the mink-wearing sinistrous guy with a blue plate of phong?
If not upgradable, please make them sellable like the stands. There are people where aren't going to use them, yet I will, and I am willing to spend half a hundred [for CE] for one of those golden towels.
I really like that towel.

No, I just have a tendency to use unusual adjectives. Just to be clear, "mink-wearing sinistrous" = Vanaduck, who has a furry collar and wields his mace left-handed. "Blue plate of phong" means my Honour Guard, because it is blue, resembles a plate, and has phong lighting (not a T:A reference).
TL;DR to my original post plus some added words: When reading the other threads, I have yet to see the argument of tradability to be brought up. The items remain rare, yet it is still obtainable by the willing and committed.
