Having fire crystals drop in their specific Stratum levels is a very good idea. It will give us a better chance of farming the Fire Crystals we need. If I am not mistaken the problem is only with Radiant Fire Crystals? I did one Jelly King run on Elite solo. I got 18 Glowing Fire Crystals from the entire run, which I though was pretty good. By doing JK a few more times I managed to level up my 3 star items and craft the 4 star versions.

Radiant Fire Crystals on D24 for me is non existent. This way instead of getting a high chance of Shinning Fire Crystals on D24, we instead get a 90% chance of all Radiant Fire Crystals and a 10% chance of all Shining Fire Crystals. Sorry if all this is very well known, I have been gone for a while and I only have experience on all this from reading what you guys are saying on this forum.

So in summary;

+ Stratum 1 — Depth: 01-03 (Tier 1) ~ 100% Cracked Fire Crystal

+ Stratum 2 — Depth: 05-07 (Tier 1) ~ 90% Dim Fire Crystal / 10% Cracked Fire Crystal

+ Stratum 3 — Depth: 09-12 (Tier 2) ~ 90% Warm Fire Crystal / 10% Dim Fire Crystal

+ Stratum 4 — Depth: 14-17 (Tier 2) ~ 90% Glowing Fire Crystal / 10% Warm Fire Crystal

+ Stratum 5 — Depth: 19-22 (Tier 3) ~ 90% Shining Fire Crystal / 10% Glowing Fire Crystal

+ Stratum 6 — Depth: 24-28 (Tier 3) ~ 90% Radiant Fire Crystal / 10% Shining Fire Crystal

What are your thoughts?

it brings balance of these drops to the game, and i could really use those radiants, i have so much 5* gear i need to level up

This is a pay to win game after all, the 9:1 ratio might be a bit too high, the current ratio is more like 5:5 across depth 25~28

Aren't Radiants supposed to drop more frequently now?

Just did D24-D27 and got all Shinings? Is that just unlucky?

You still have a typo in the title, and it's still stratum

You're just missing a "t".

And the RNG is a fickle mistress. I got 3 radiants from a FSC run after the update, but 45 from an arcade run (diamond queen gate). Normally I'd get 27 or so from that gate.

Starting at d25, radiants will drop. They drop a fair amount, so if you find a danger room at d26 or lower, open it!

Omg! I think I edited Stratum a 100 times now! I'm telling you the stupid auto word correct thing on my phone is messed up!! I'm going to leave it like it is in honour of my epic fail!

Edit: Sorry I didn't mention. My d24-d27 run was in fsc.

I don't know what to make of some of my new drop rate data.
OCH seems to be worse off after the latest changes (D29 now drops ~90% shining). Then again, the RNG could be hating on my data.

Anyways, I'll say what I normally say in these thread. F2Pers have no good reason to complain about radiants. I did the math, and although no one liked it - No one could prove the F2P aspect wrong. P2Pers (esp elevator pass people) do have a right to complain, because they get a lot less for their energy nowadays.

Done a few FSC runs, I was taking a break when the Forge initially came out, so I missed the epic drop rates of fire crystals. Honestly I think how things are now, is fairly manageable. I do one run, get my items heated, and always have enough shines or rads to level up my gear.

I'm one of those weirdos who actually likes grinding *cough* playing *cough*

But I'm still pushing this :)

Maybe instead of by Tier, they should be more specific and organize drop rates by Depth. Let's use the Depths in Stratum 6 as an example, since it's all about Radiant Crystals.

D24: 50/50 Radiant/Shining
D25: 60/40 Radiant/Shining
D26: 75/25 Radiant/Shining
D27: 90/10 Radiant/Shining
D28: 100% Radiant

I think we can agree that, even after they increased the drop rates, Radiant Crystals still make up less than 50% of crystal drops under the current system, even by Depth 26.

In accordance with my idea, the distribution of Crystals by specific Depth would also encourage players to go that extra mile by giving them a sure thing on the final depth, AS OPPOSED TO the CURRENT system, where there's still a chance of ZERO Radiants even on Depth 28. I know many players who don't do the entire run because there's nothing driving them forward. This idea could be the solution to that.

Just did d24. Got 0 fire crystals for the first time. 2 runs before that I got 3 shines each time on d24.
