Agent Flint's Generic RPG

859 replies [Last post]

This land is called the Redundancy. It is a standard continent with grass, water, a castle, mountains, and trees. The grand kingdom of Everfell has established its rule in this continuent and promises peace and prosperity for years to come!
Until now, big surprise.
The king of Everfell has received dire news. The ruler of the north continent: Sarfram has sent a letter; a warning that the days to come will be dark as they come to conquer them. The king has reached a decision.

He will send one person to go stop this threat. Maybe two. There’s a slight chance for even three. You are in control of these heroes. Will you be able to stop the impending darkness quickly, or will you grind for hours before you do?

Welcome to my new ‘experimental’ forum game: Agent Flint’s Generic RPG. It’s different from traditional RPGs in the sense that it’s well… different. You’ll see. Here is the basic content of this game.
-The game starts with two characters. Up to six more join the party as the game progresses. You can control one of these characters at a time and switch to different characters during checkpoints.
-Oh, and you have no control over what these characters say or think.
-There’s no mana. Mana is replaced with a new system called Charge.
-Don’t expect a 9/10 for story. It is probably rather ridiculous.
-Everyone has some terrible names. Once you see them you’ll know.

After you read the rules, come have a look at these Game Modifiers. Pick two of them which will probably affect the game permanently. Or maybe just the chapter.
Vote… without a poll.
Faster Fights: Make battles go faster! ALL damage is doubled.
Faster Grinding: Make grinding easier! Experience is increased by 50%.
Disable Grinding: Experience gain is disabled. Characters will never level up, but neither will enemies.
Better Names: All of the characters get better names.
Codex: Become smarter. Damage formulas for skills and the defense stat are revealed.

Also, pick a character to play as.
♂️1 - Standard melee class with a good old fashioned sword. Appears in Chapter 1-1.
♀️2 - Balanced magic class with a variety of spells. Appears in Chapter 1-1.
♂️3 - Fast melee class with speed and stealth. Appears in Chapter 1-3.

Agent: Okay, so where's the Witch?
Apprentice: She's in that cave over there.
Apprentice points to the cave with a wooden door in it.
Apprentice: Witch? Are you there? Answer me!
A woman with fancier clothes and a taller hat than Apprentice comes out of the cave.
Witch: Knight, and Apprentice. Thank you for getting those bandits to leave.
Agent: Aren't you supposed to be really powerful? I'm sure you could've taken those bandits on by yourself.
Witch: I could have, but the Bandits were trying to push the door open, and you're actually supposed to pull the door to open it.
Agent: Right...
Witch: It has been a long day, so I will teleport us all to the village.
Apprentice: Could've you have teleported yourself to the village?
Witch: As easy as that would be, no. The cave I was trapped in was a magical cave, so I could not have teleported out of it.
*whirrrrr weew!*
Everyone is teleported back to the village.
Apprentice's Woof-lf leaps out of her hands and runs back into the forest.
Apprentice: No, fluffy!
Witch: Leave him, Apprentice. Woof-lfs do not like to leave their natural habitats. Now then, is there something you needed from me, knight?
Agent: My name is Agent, and no I didn't need anything from you. I just needed Apprentice to stop looking for you so she could take me to the port town.
Witch: Alright then, you should go.
Agent: Okay Apprentice, can you take me to the port town now?
Apprentice: Alright.

The two arrive at a coastal area.
Apprentice: Alright! We just need to go through this beachy place to reach the town.
Agent: Hey, who's that?
A person wearing slightly different armor than what Agent is wearing walks up to the two.
?????: Excuse me, are you Agent?

Agent's response
"Yes."
"No."
"What's it to you?"

Apprentice's question
"Who're you?"
"Nice hair."
"Why're you looking for Agent?"

#105
Oh nice, I can finally access the forums again.

Agent responds with "Yes."

Chapter 1-3

(I didn't think you guys were gonna come back.)

Agent: Yes.
?????: Excellent, I was looking for you. You were due at the port town 3 hours ago, but you never came. You got a good reason?
Agent: My friend Apprentice here was supposed to guide me to the place, but... her master Witch was missing.
?????: Aren't witches supposed to be really powerful?
Apprentice: She was stuck in a magical cave.
?????: Okay, without further ado...
Apprentice: Nice hair.
?????: ...
Agent: ...
?????: Thank you.
Agent: Hey, whats your name anyway?
?????: I am called Speedrunner, because I have high Agility. Also i'm the agility class because you're the fighter class and you're the magic class.
Apprentice: Well nice to meet you, Speedrunner!
Speedrunner: Okay, let's go to Porttown!

Speedrunner joined the party!
He has no accessories equipped on him.
He has mastered his first skill tree.

Apprentice: Where're we going, anyway?
Agent: An island full of evil bad guys.
Speedrunner: This is a waste of time. Let's go already.
Rival: Hold it! We still want that boat, and if we can't have it, then we'll have to fight for it!
Speedrunner: Are you serious? What do your friends think of it?
Healer: I don't wanna wait...
Mage: The next ship will come in half an hour, and I don't think I can wait that long.
Agent: ...

Rival will fite u m8, what to say?

#129
Remember, don't shoot food.

Wait, if the ships are on a schedule, then wouldn't that mean that their destinations are preset?

If not, why can't the ship just go to one of our destinations then the other?

#130
Hello Darkness, my Old Friend.

(They're just hired transport ships that are paid by the Kingdom to take their Knights to certain places.)
