Pretty nice event
If there was a 1+/upvote button i'd smash it all day, now all you need to do is make this event forever.
I hope it's a kind of test to see if you remove it or something, also, cant use At already, just made some tests, enjoy this weekend!

Here's to hoping we can get such an event in the future, because that name is glorious.
Additionally, since people are likely to wander on over here, I'm still looking for more people to participate in my Civil War event. You'd need a knight at rank soldier (4-3) or below, but I'd love to see some lower tiered lockdown shenanigans in the name of lime (or purple if you swing that way).

+1! Like i said in many threadsThere are plenty things to renew the game and make it better without demanding so manpower as an update.
Update is essential but doing things like that,make PvP more intersting,its a good way to improve the game and gain time for the upcoming updates!
We whine lots of time but when something good is done we need to tell it!

I just noticed that. Hera conspires against me. Do not let this insult go unpunished! Obviously honorable knights must target all purple knights first in any Lockdown match. Totally a viable strategy.

I love you both, Hera and Cronus, however...I'm afraid you're all wrong, there is clearly a superior colour amongst Spiral Knights, that being Blue. But it's okay you're entitled to your own (wrong) opinion <3 heuheu

I'm curious enough to ask. Is this event-
A) A way to placate the portion of the LD community that wants to do away with AA, as a once a month ordeal?
or
B) An experiment to see if AA should be done away with permanently?
....And on a side note: If left here long enough you start to go crazy... it took a while but it's started to encompass Fangel, who now sides with Cronus and Hera against Hera and Cronus on different alts.

Finally, took you more than 6 years to do something like that.
I think you should give more than just a helmet tho, me and other players have been doing similar events for a long time with so many prizes and stuff like you can see here.

And for our last event we even gave away all the items of an account with over 400E value, you should try to beat that prize.
But it's good to see you take suggestions and ideas from the community to keep this alive.
Hopefully you will keep doing that and bring other similar stuff like the one we did on the coliseum with more prizes and events.

As noted in the announcement, prizes will scale depending on participation. The Gate Crasher helm is the minimum prize that will be offered, though we expect to be able to bump that up. So time to hit that record button!

Terrible idea. LD is almost dead. Also you have serious problems, when players have high ping. Prediction module doesn't work at all. All that game can do is mark borders. With 200+ ping i have more than noticeable lag, it's almost half second. What if i meet player with 10-50ms ping, he will get great benefit, almost half second to think.
Tier 1 and Tier 2 LD weren't started for years. Do you make events for end game players?

It just has to fit within the Terms of Service. Thus, if it's filtered in game, you cannot use it.

Whiff Weekend - Round 2?
It seems I do not have time during this weekend to record footage for my montage...
That said, I'd really like to take part in this.
Would it be possible to have an extension of the Hardcore Mode event? Maybe a second round next weekend?

Like seriously, that Hardcore Mode, I feel like it should be either an ingame option - because I'm too much of a Gunning fan to NOT want this - and since I know I'll probably miss the event, I hope that we'll have more like it in the future.

Note regarding video content:
I saw some asking this in various support tickets so I wanted to answer it here. The video doesn't have to show your amazing skill. A video showing a horrifying failure is just as valid. For example, if I were to post videos it would be of me flailing wildly after the same target that has no trouble dodging every last attack. Such a video can be just as entertaining as an epic killing spree. Not being amazing at Lockdown does not mean you can't participate.

event and my exp.
AHh, this event made lockdown feel like a brand new game. Slow classes like recon and guardian seemed easier to use because I wasn't getting tracked down by auto-target. Seeing new players in Coliseum and more players bombing/gunning was also really nice and refreshing. I wanted to play all day, but Genesis 4 was on during this event ;(.
Looks like lockdown is back to the way it was before ;(.

I will say that I enjoyed what little time I spent in Lockdown over the weekend, but I'm the sort of person who collects footage more organically than forcefully, and the limited time for this event (plus the crossover with several things in my life right now) meant I couldn't really participate too much. Still managed to squeeze out a tiny entry!
I'd love to see more "manual-target" weekends in the future, even without a video event tagged along with it! Would bring some players routinely into Lockdown. Heck, using them in similar ways to the Golden Slime Casino would be pretty neat. :)

While I would have preferred AT be disabled during every single PvP match, I'd much rather it be event-based on a similarly frequent basis -- if not more frequently -- to the Golden Slime Casino.
For what's worth, any PvP event is better than no PvP event.

This change is exactly what I've been waiting for since 2011. And it only lasts for the weekend I have the absolute least time to spend on a computer in ages. Will this happen again or be concidered to be implemented permanently?

Over the weekend..
We saw people in lockdown get along better, we had a little slice of balance in some games, we had harder fought matches, friendlier competitions, funny moments, people respecting epic killing streaks without accusation.. And all without hardly any usual "ATer", as we would say, complain that AT was gone. It was a great experience, hope to see more soon or a permanent implementation as said above.
