I think those soldiers were drunk too. Look at the non-spacedness.

Almost... Oh well.

lol,had me worried there, does read that way though, would kinda fit though, drunk guards...
now i just got to figure out where to go next
should mention, this is my first serious RP before, wouldn't mind a few tips.
I guess I can throw in one of Verne's guards. But I might be a bit... Anti-Verne (just playing it safe and trying to do a bit of inside work)
Name: Kwib
Gender: Male
Armor: Wears a Moonstone Chapeau over a Divine Veil and Moonstone Tabard overtop of a Chaos Cloak.
Offensive and Defensive Equipment(Weapons and Shield): (larger than normal) Leviathan Blade, and a Grey Owlite Shield
Extra Appearance Features: Has cyan colored skin, and pure white eyes.
Bio/Personality: Kwib is an "undercover agent" of sorts, but he doesn't know it yet. He doesn't agree with Verne or his rule, but went along with it and made it to being one of his personal guards. Kwib is quick to anger and even quicker to apologize to friends. His sharp wit often runs him into trouble. Thankfully, along with his trusty Levi Blade, he gets himself out of situations fairly easily. People are often underestimating him due to his extremely short stature. While Kwib does not have extremely visible muscles, they are like steel cables - strong and durable. Kwib is quick to jump into a situation and try to defuse it, which often leads to the situation worsening.
Position in Epsilon Squad(Guardian, Gunner, Striker, Bomber, Recon): None. One of Verne's personal guards. Guardian I guess?
Stats(I am granting 35 points to spend in any categories you like. 10 points max each category!)
Gunning: 0
Swordplay: 10
Bombing: 0
Strength: 7
Intelligence: 8
Dexterity/Speed: 10 (is rather quick, and can dodge extremely well due to his size)
Kinda confused...... strength is at 5, and you're 'sposed to be REALLY strong?
Can you explain that to me please?
One small thing that can easily be changed.
Maybe a few.
Your character is built for speed, not damage. So why the heck is he using a leviathan blade? If a faster character uses a Grand flourish for example, They're bound to do more damage than the guy with 5 speed. A leviathan blade is large, cumbersome, And not at all for fast builds.
Strength - 5: Better off using light or medium weight weapons.
D/S - 10: You can get away with using two flourishes at once, because he's just THAT fast.
Intelligence - 10: You rule the world with deceit, lies, trickery, and other exploits.
There. That helpful now?
Also, You always have the option of fiddling with your stats.
Was my most recent post involving Verne considered Powerplay? Or... Did you need some help with deciding what to do for his story?
then again,if it was,Dreston woulda blown Vernes head off by now.
isnt power play when you control another players character in some way?
A little, but no.
1) Kayphus is NOT the best Verne has. He's simply a money-hungry spy.
2) A powerplay is where you do something extremely drastic without permission. For example, I suddenly teleport to Verne's palace and kill him. That's a really foul powerplay .-.
I think the next scream I'm going to do I'm just gonna use *insert Wilhelm scream here* instead.
Lol
im kinda stuck Edit* i mean im not sure where to go with my character:
1-Dreston wouldnt know about Epsilon squad,or at least would have no idea where to find them.
2-Running from guards and,if Dreston makes a stand it would be his last.
Easy to fix, just run to the outside of haven and stumble upon the place.
Also, no offense dude, but it's confusing to read your posts. Can you please try to put the different things(apostrophes and such) where they need to go?
Thanks!
All right,thanks.
Do you mean in the discussion thread, if so I'll get right on that.
Yes, I said he was deceptively strong for his size and looks - thus only 5 strength. (I never said he was really strong, i was actually trying to bush his endurability more than his strength... Oops. My fault) And yes, a flourish is built for speed, but by using the leviathan blade, it creates another area for people to underestimate him (also why it is a LARGE Levi blade).
As for the D/S issue - 5 speed, 5 dex. He is a little of both. Small and can duck and weave.
Yes, his intelligence is his character flaw - he knows he is intelligent and so gets himself in to trouble thinking that he was smart enough to say.. Interpret a situation correctly.
Does my character make a bit more sense now? And also, am I not allowed to be weird and do a "ranger" stat pool with a swordy? I play games like that all the time - makes for interesting game play
[EDIT] I have changed my stats a bit to your suggestions and confusions. I apologize for not doing so sooner.
@Liminori
You forget though that if I have a slow weapon, but I can swing it really fast, it makes for a medium speed weapon. Using this stat system, I can make a weak damage weapon into a medium damage weapon with strength, a slow weapon into a medium-fast weapon with speed/dex.
Did I just get framed?lol
If that was Dreston, and you guys search my body you should find half a brick of plastic explosives (starting to wish Dreston did bring that),a Callahan and a Sentenza on his person.
Not really framed, Beck just did that to make things interesting.
EDIT: Yes that was Dreston
What does Verne look like? How many guards does he normally have? How much are his personal guards trusted? Are they also his advisors?
Also - love interests etc. Is that a thing? And if so... Liminori, think we can cook something up between Kwib and Kanoka with some sort of escapade?
1) Verne has short black scraggly hair and intense blue eyes. In addition, he is tall and thin, regulary muscled.
2) Verne has anywhere up to 3 personal guards.
3) Personal guards are the top of the line. They are trusted to a great extent, like a Centurion assigned to guard a Praetor.
4) Yes, they can be his advisors.
5) Love interests do exist. You have my permission to do that, just ask for Liminori's too.
Can Verne have a council of officials? It will give my character something to do and mesh with the main characters a bit more.
Subject says it.
But I'm not sure someone of your position would be in it.
I have been comparing my characters stats to others and trying to guess what would happen if they were to fight.
Ralan would be a tough opponent.
In a clash of swords, Kwib would be evenly matched in technique, though in strength he would lose - albeit slowly.
Kwib's advantage would be his higher speed and dexterity - unless Ralan decided to come out gunning. Then Kwib could have a few problems.
Ralan would be pushing Kwib to his mental limits strategizing a way around that Blitz. When that gun comes out, Kwib is almost done for with only a slight, marginal chance of victory.
Xecea would be an interesting opponent.
In a clash of sword, Kwib would be superior by a fair amount in technique, and he has a bit more strength to throw in to boot.
Kwib would be hindered in terms of speed against Xecea because of his larger weapon. And the fact he is just as dexterous as Xecea.
A battle of wits would be sure to ensue, Xecea pushing Kwib to the extremes of his strategic thinking - especially if she had bombs and guns to throw into the mix. With just her sword, Kwib has a fair chance of winning.
Just note these are speculations on stats and weaponry, and the content of what a fight may contain between them is based of those two agenda
I hope I haven't overstepped my boundaries with my building of Kwib's character through a story, or tale, told by an officer in the army.
I am building Kwib's character in an interesting way - through lore and unknowns. I'm testing the waters. With my writing to see if it works :)
Anyone wanna skip to the end of Ralan's recovery? Otherwise 1 post=4 hours ^-^
I have more filler for Kwib setting it up even more so. I can do that, but not right now. How about a round of planning from the Epsilon Squad?
Also, the goal of a book, or a story, is the hook, the ending is the catch, the journey is reeling in. Don't miss too much of the journey.
Good idea.
Also, getting to Verne isn't easy. You make it sound like Epsilon could just barge into his palace.
Good point. Didn't mean to imply that. Also in terms of battle - how does that play out?
I make a post with my action, and then you make a post with your reaction/action and so on?
Yea. No powerplays though.
And I doubt why you would fight for Verne XD
He has loyalists virtually everywhere.... Not to mention he has a private advisor quite proficient at the blade.
Tell me if I overstepped a boundary there.
I'll redact it if neccessary.
Well, you can send saboteur to do some scouting as well as sabotage operation on his own to soften up the Haven defence network if you want, and also, if you want to talk to saboteur, just remember to call him 'Naige', the original epsilon bomber who saboteur killed while he was on patrol.
I just realized - no guard has found Dreston. So... Uh... He will be dead by now due to the eternal winter thing. Oh dear...
Yea,I've been trying to figure a way around that. He's wearing a Dusker coat, maybe it can keep him warm enough,or Dreston could wake up,back track through the woods to hide his trail, then come back to the fort?
How about he was close to a gas light on the fort, so he got heated from that? Combined with the coat that is
That works, should still be asleep when found, human body can go into a coma like state when cold, to keep from using to much energy on thinking and the such.If Dreston wakes up on his own hes likely to find, and toss Vernes crest. which would keep the plot twist that was set up from happening.
Beck dragged him by the front gate, there is probably some sort of heater/light so guards don't die.
As I said but with much more accuracy. Thank you.
How does everyone feel about that 'Rumor' or 'Faerie storie' that Kwib has about him... Is that too much?
[EDIT] I am having a bit of trouble now actually... I don't really want to do much else for fear of putting a huge load on Liminori when they come back and post again... I mean, I can set all sorts of regulations about Verne's guard, but that isn't that fair for Liminori/Kanoka.
I like it. Gives Kwib a bit more personality.
P.S. @Sulfr: I dunno, its slipped into the back pocket. Verne's crest isn't that bulky. If Dreston woke up the he wouldn't notice the crest at all.
As I was saying up ^^^ there somewhere, I am building on Kwib. Now as the title states, 'Rumors'. I just hope people realise that just because there is a story, that it is all true...
hmm, I don't really like it when saboteur is treated like an invisible man. Can anyone give him something to do before he gone off blow things up?
One question, if Kwib has these hopes. How come he is one of Verne's guards? Wouldn't Verne make sure loyal soldiers guard him? Or is Kwib good at hiding these thoughts?
EDIT: @Midnight: I would acknowledge you but I'm not of Epsilon Squad.
Midnight-Dj: I am in the same boat as Colray here.
Colray: Yes, Kwib has these hopes. He has a facade, he masquerades daily that he is tough, an elite. He has to. He can't just be some sissy soldier after all that he has lost... But it is a lost hope - that is how he sees it. It's a promise he tells himself everyday, but nothing changes. He is just a tad depressed and can't see past that.
@colray
K.good to know, wasn't certain how big it was.
alright i'm off to bed,its late and all.if no guards happen to notice the snoring, ill wake Dreston,i'm thinking it'll involve fending off a pack of wolvers with his coffee cup. =)
@midnight
Dreston would talk with you,but you know...
Hey finally got my first post up,hope its good.Im not great with intros.
