If Liminori cannot spare the resources, may I be Lengsk, with Racism as his de facto motive for war.?
Forsaken World (discussion)

Idk, Serris has always been a playboy millionaire kind of guy (in my fanon anyway), slavery is probably a better reason for Serris to start a war. Sadly for Serris, a slave called Affraiel killed his whole family to exact retribution.
![Topogaming's picture Topogaming's picture](https://forums.spiralknights.com/sites/default/files/avatar_selection/sk_kn-demo4.png)
Thinslayer I love you. #nohomo
Intrigue was mad for me, wasn't it. Huehuehuehue
Btw, I AM JOINING
![Darkwatck's picture Darkwatck's picture](https://forums.spiralknights.com/sites/default/files/avatar_selection/sk_kn-coat4.png)
well if I planed on bring Skotino into this, then his role would more then likely end up being a merc. force. They are just guns for higher and do what ever the money says is worth it...so I suppose internal crimes of war would be a more likely thing here.
![Sonosuke's picture Sonosuke's picture](https://forums.spiralknights.com/sites/default/files/avatar_selection/sk_kn-coat5.png)
I really would like to join, but I'm not the tactical kind of player. If I were to join now, I'm afraid my army would probably be the first to get wiped out. I could always study up on this like I am now with making fleshed-out characters, weapon design choices, anatomy, and video game concepts, but then that would leave too much on my plate along with school.
![Darkwatck's picture Darkwatck's picture](https://forums.spiralknights.com/sites/default/files/avatar_selection/sk_kn-coat4.png)
Its kind of like a RTS. You just need to plan your moves carefully.
![Feline-Grenadier's picture Feline-Grenadier's picture](https://forums.spiralknights.com/sites/default/files/avatar_selection/sk_item-bush.png)
I just realized...
...there's a lot of females to *cough12yearoldselfhasbeenressurectedcough* conquer...
Okay fine the cast is still a major on males. :P
If I do get a commander, it'll be fun breaking their morale (and their teeth). Exciting.
![Sawhero's picture Sawhero's picture](https://forums.spiralknights.com/sites/default/files/avatar_selection/sk_kn-sca3.png)
So I was just kind of thinking, and there seem to be enough people to fill the commanders. So, here's an app of sorts.
Name: Yet to be determined
Age:30
Pesonality/backstory/appearance: A hacker who wants to end the conflict, he has resorted to combative hacking. His suit has a monocle which is linked to his tablet, providing facial rec, info, etc...sorta like a HUD. On his arm is a screen for rudimentary hacking, such as opening sealed doors, hijacking vehicles. His ablet allows for more complex hacking, and can create a holographic "computer" (think Iron Man's JARVIS). He has a battle sprite for his self-defense. His fighting skills are virtually non-existent. He is capable of hacking just about anything with electrical systems. He is easy-going while not in danger, but quickly becomes tense and nervous. His battle sprite has been programmed for higher skill, and is linked to his tablet. Should he end up with a vehicle with a mounted gun, the battle sprite can tap into the gun's controls.
My plan would be for him to be against all the commanders. Hacking would probably be OP (e.g. Gunships dropping out of the sky, setting of MADs) so for this purpose, he has a limitation. He can long-distance hack databases, logs, but has to be within 300 feet of anything else.
![Thinslayer's picture Thinslayer's picture](https://forums.spiralknights.com/sites/default/files/avatar_selection/sk_kn-rose1.png)
Perhaps I should have mentioned this before, but the seven "problems" are mutually exclusive. If another player chose Slavery, another player cannot also choose Slavery, and must choose something else.
Managing armies shouldn't be as difficult as it seems. With the power suits' Lockdown systems in place, your knights won't die in battle; they'll just be incapacitated (and uncapturable) until backup units arrive to return them. Naturally, this poses problems for those whose territory is held by the enemy, so losing a battle will still be crippling, but it's not the end of the world. You'll get your army back sooner or later. When judging a battle, I'll kind of "wing it," determining the outcome by analyzing the moves described in each story post along with the relative abilities of each army (toothpicks vs. Azure Guardians won't go very well, for example). Be forewarned that I'll usually give a good story precedence over better battle tactics, so enjoy your epic frontal assaults! ;-)
I'm still considering adding mercenaries. The problem is, mercenaries serve the highest bidder by definition, but with no cash system, no one will do any bidding. I'm not about to add an entire economic system just to add a mercenary faction. We could add dynamics of paying armies and such, but that's not any fun at all. If we want mercenaries, there needs to be some kind of currency or other limited deciding factor that determines who they work for. If you want some kind of mercenary dynamic, well, you're the faction leader; feel free to abandon your ideals and fight and ally with whatever faction you want. You don't need dedicated mercenaries for that.
![Darkwatck's picture Darkwatck's picture](https://forums.spiralknights.com/sites/default/files/avatar_selection/sk_kn-coat4.png)
see the problem wouldn't be a money system so much as people being able to manage our money system. no see the problem comes in is if you add a money system you're going to eventually run to the problem how much do money do people have it also could be based on the resources that they're using, take for example will use crowns like in spiral knights the problem in spiral knights is that there's a lot of crowns out there but the crowns are very valuable what is valuable is the crystal energy. so here's the thing how do we make something like the crown switch again or what it in the game valuable well you had something like crystal energy, in that regard the crystal energy is worth X amount of credits for a hundred thats asset value that's a currency we can work on so now we can say that X resource is worth X amount of energy and then we could take that conversion in turn into crowd which is money in this case I would suppose that the most valuable resource would again be energy but at this level I'm assuming that they prolly have some kind of solar power or some kind of generators that don't run on fossil fuels so in the same since we're running on a basis with no lines.
so the economy system would be based on something valuable so we have to worry about a precious metal of some sort in this case the precious metal again would be crystal energy just like in the game. This is also a factor that going to add into an economy system so we have to figure out what do the mercenaries want well if we're going to say that in a hundred energy is worth X amount of crowns then that means that we're saying that hears our most valuable resource energy so we put a price on Angie so than the the mercenaries are going to want the valuable the valuable crowns for the energy energy into each faction is going to have the economy system it's all going to be working in different things but the ground with all stay the same since its technically market value in its all accepted so that is going to help with the foundation but again the problem comes how much money does each faction have.
The problem is not the system, but how it ks managed. MADs would be very expensive so then there would need to be a tick system that lets each gaction leader know how moch money they have too work with. What is left over would be in reserve for mercs. or a war time status.
Wow I hate typing on a phone and using voice reconition... I should have waited to get home and type thos out.
![Darkwatck's picture Darkwatck's picture](https://forums.spiralknights.com/sites/default/files/avatar_selection/sk_kn-coat4.png)
Well on account of a few things, when its the start date and when is the other RP you made ending.
![Thinslayer's picture Thinslayer's picture](https://forums.spiralknights.com/sites/default/files/avatar_selection/sk_kn-rose1.png)
As a rule of thumb, this RP begins when the other one ends.
![Darkwatck's picture Darkwatck's picture](https://forums.spiralknights.com/sites/default/files/avatar_selection/sk_kn-coat4.png)
Well then you need to insitivize when that is, because as it stands, its on the backburner of death's door. So a spark of life to that thread would do wonders.
![Thinslayer's picture Thinslayer's picture](https://forums.spiralknights.com/sites/default/files/avatar_selection/sk_kn-rose1.png)
Technological advancement in this game is marked by star level. At the beginning of the game, everyone has access to 0* gear, and we will move up whenever I think the time is right. While the Captains are equally affected by star level, their appearances do not change. You are free to modify your Captains' stats at will.
I will permit usage of gear that is normally associated with Clockworks monsters. However, the monster families on Isora are quite different, and will need workable equivalents. Below is such a list.
- Beasts => dragons, wolves, panthers, scarabs
- Constructs => robots, androids, structures
- Slimes => lichens, soul jellies
- Fiends => daemons, fallen valkyries, dark knights
- Undead => zombies, ghosts
- Gremlins => knights
Creatures of Note
Dragons: Staggeringly massive beasts capable of annihilating whole worlds with their breath alone. Thankfully, most of them are docile lithovores. The few that aren't...well, pray you never encounter one.
Scarabs: Like their Clockworks Undead counterparts, scarabs are large, exoskeletal creatures that feed on both vegetation and animals alike. They always hunt in packs.
Soul Jellies: The only lichen species with a sapient soul. All soul jellies are able to contort themselves into any shape and harden their bodies at will. A few of them are cybernetically enhanced with power nodes for various purposes.
Daemons: Spiritual beings from the Underworld that are cursed to stay in their physical forms. While they are incapable of dying from age, they are still destructible. Most possess a variety of magical powers.
Fallen Valkyries: Dead angels repossessed by daemons. For the record, angels sometimes possess dead daemons too. Yeah, it's a little messed up.
Dark Knights: Knights corrupted with dark matter. The dark matter flowing through them renders them much more vulnerable to possession.
Power Armor: Spiral Power Armor is a highly-advanced nanotech system designed to be readily adapted to new technology. The bodysuit is made up of artificial nanomuscle that enhances a knight's strength, and automated biofoam dispensers within the suit allow rapid response to injuries. Energy channeling systems throughout prevent direct destruction of the suit. Modern systems are also equipped with a feature that puts the wearer into cryostasis when they are critically injured. Polarized armor pieces attach onto the bodysuit.
![Darkwatck's picture Darkwatck's picture](https://forums.spiralknights.com/sites/default/files/avatar_selection/sk_kn-coat4.png)
Alright I see the thing here, but my lingering question will be this, How will the dark matter/Draconian DNA cocktail I decided to do to Skotino.
Sure at some point he will be more apt to follow the instincts that the Dna will effecthime with. And on the same not how large are you willing to let this levitation be?
I know I should wait till I am home to type this but I kinda need to know while I plan him out. After all this is him with the cocktail already taken over fully
![Thinslayer's picture Thinslayer's picture](https://forums.spiralknights.com/sites/default/files/avatar_selection/sk_kn-rose1.png)
Dark Matter is spirit-sensitive, and is the "lifeblood," if you will, of corrupted souls. Dark energies and corrupted spirits are transmitted through dark matter. So Skotino would probably be superpowered and possessed.
![Darkwatck's picture Darkwatck's picture](https://forums.spiralknights.com/sites/default/files/avatar_selection/sk_kn-coat4.png)
So not much different then he already was in a sense. Well I suppose for the sake of thongs going acording to story, it would stand to reason for that to cause his madness.
![Darkwatck's picture Darkwatck's picture](https://forums.spiralknights.com/sites/default/files/avatar_selection/sk_kn-coat4.png)
Perhaps, its time to start man. I believe the other threads are dead or people have moved on thanks to this thread...
![Liminori's picture Liminori's picture](https://forums.spiralknights.com/sites/default/files/avatar_selection/sk_kn-sam1.png)
Since everyone seems to be confused about who does what and gets what 'Issues', I will just make things a fraction easier.
I would rather not play as Serris, Desna, or Cecilia.
blegh
make some choices.
![Darkwatck's picture Darkwatck's picture](https://forums.spiralknights.com/sites/default/files/avatar_selection/sk_kn-coat4.png)
Don't worry about what I chose, besides; if Thin says yes to the submission I give when he starts this then, I believe there will be more added to the list of enemies on that list. Ya can only keep a cap on energy for so long before it finally goes bang en.
![Thinslayer's picture Thinslayer's picture](https://forums.spiralknights.com/sites/default/files/avatar_selection/sk_kn-rose1.png)
Screw waiting for the other RPs.
Tentative title is "Dusk of War". Opinions? Alternatives?
![Ember-Break's picture Ember-Break's picture](https://forums.spiralknights.com/sites/default/files/avatar_selection/sk_fan4.png)
Seems interesting. But I have no time to participate right now. ; -;
Curse the fundamental flow of time. I want my time machine ready within the next 2 years.

GET TO IT SCIENTISTS!
![Thinslayer's picture Thinslayer's picture](https://forums.spiralknights.com/sites/default/files/avatar_selection/sk_kn-rose1.png)
@Hexlash: Yes, I totally had Dawn of War in mind. I have a few alternates to choose from:
Isoran Civil War (the title I use in my offline notes)
Heroes of Isora (the name that inspired this RP to begin with)
The Seven Legions
M.A.D.
![Darkwatck's picture Darkwatck's picture](https://forums.spiralknights.com/sites/default/files/avatar_selection/sk_kn-coat4.png)
The History of War.
Paths of the Forsaken (Hint at the fact Isora is facked because of the Morai.)
There are many names to pick from, the question is which one do you like. Also you all must be on the west cost because its either 00:00 or 01:00 when you post for me, and I am on the east cost of the US.
![Thinslayer's picture Thinslayer's picture](https://forums.spiralknights.com/sites/default/files/avatar_selection/sk_kn-rose1.png)
The new title is Forsaken World. We start soon.
![Darkwatck's picture Darkwatck's picture](https://forums.spiralknights.com/sites/default/files/avatar_selection/sk_kn-coat4.png)
Woot. Now, how are you going to keep this thread alive like with the on that made it over 1000 posts. Anyway, I look forwards to it, now Ihave something to do at work.
![Thinslayer's picture Thinslayer's picture](https://forums.spiralknights.com/sites/default/files/avatar_selection/sk_kn-rose1.png)
I honestly have no idea how I'm going to keep it alive. All I can do is try.
Right now, I'm writing up the first story thread post and conjuring up the ruleset.
![Psychnade's picture Psychnade's picture](https://forums.spiralknights.com/sites/default/files/avatar_selection/sk_kn-coat3.png)
Been a while since I did anything like this, but I'll come back to it. Looks cool!
![Ember-Break's picture Ember-Break's picture](https://forums.spiralknights.com/sites/default/files/avatar_selection/sk_fan4.png)
I'll just read the story as it goes on. Silently judging each and every one of your guys' moves. Uhuhuhuhu.
![Psychnade's picture Psychnade's picture](https://forums.spiralknights.com/sites/default/files/avatar_selection/sk_kn-coat3.png)
For the map, you should use something like this(If anyone remembers Bionicle): http://img4.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20070720175516/bionicle/images/3/3e/M...
And, are we playing as high ranking soldiers in our factions? Or can we pick a more "custom" kind of position in our factions, say not just a normal soldier or high ranking officer? Playing Spiral-COM: Enemy Next-to-us here, seems like.
![Colray's picture Colray's picture](https://forums.spiralknights.com/sites/default/files/avatar_selection/sk_kn-hood2.png)
It's a wild Psychnade!
I really hope I'll be able to keep up with the forums. The homework flow increased all of a sudden. I'll be waiting for this though! Epic battles will be epic!
![Darkwatck's picture Darkwatck's picture](https://forums.spiralknights.com/sites/default/files/avatar_selection/sk_kn-coat4.png)
Honestly Thin, how long this RP lasts is going to depend on you more then us.
In a since everything is on you because A: As long as the host is still excited to keep it going so are we. B: As long as the story keeps us engaged we will keep going. C: As long as no one feels left behind or left out, we will keep going. D: ITS ALL ON YOU TO KEEP US GOING.
Sure with out us their is no feed back and bla bla bla. But the only reason your getting feedback is because your giving us something to go on. Added to the fact the scale of this RP and Thin, your going to need help, or be able to micro-manage every detail from the sides fighting all the way down to the smaller things, and even down to something as simple as a character.
From a Lord, to an experimented freak, your going to have your hands full. Just be careful and don't over do yourself.
![Midnight-Dj's picture Midnight-Dj's picture](https://forums.spiralknights.com/sites/default/files/avatar_selection/sk_kn-val2.png)
Man, I only wished that there is a reason option for splitting up to be:
LET THE GALAXY BURN- you finally saw through the lies, the meaninglessness that is life. Your soldiers have transformed this despair into a burst of hatred and madness, and together, your army of mad men shall slaughter the innocents and gather up their skulls for the dark god, whose only desire is to revel in this world's blood shed. And in this void of purpose, hope and dream, we shall be free!!! BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD, SKULLS FOR THE SKULL THRONE, LET THE GALAXY BURN!!!
![Darkwatck's picture Darkwatck's picture](https://forums.spiralknights.com/sites/default/files/avatar_selection/sk_kn-coat4.png)
Well after that last post I believe I know who Skotino works for now. Now time for a little mythos when I get home.
![Psychnade's picture Psychnade's picture](https://forums.spiralknights.com/sites/default/files/avatar_selection/sk_kn-coat3.png)
Name: Maxwell Haestrom Frostmourne
Gender: Male
Faction: Polar Legion
Appearance: A scarily pale man who usually hides the lower half of his face under his high collared (Day Version)Polar Warden Coat. A pair of tinted light blue spectacles conceal his eyes, not that you'd want to see his eyes anyway. You know how people say the eyes are windows into the soul? Well, Maxwell's eyes are just security cameras, analyzing every single bit of you and storing it away in that twisted brain of his. His eyes are still there of course, but seem...dead, with the milky blue pupils. His hair is stark white, converted this color from previous experimentation with MADS and exposure to his bio weaponry experiments. He has a sharp nose and his mouth, when revealed, has thin, cold lips that part into a lipless, snake smile on those rare occasions he grins.
Personality: Maxwell is a cold man, not just because he works for Serris Lengsk and the Polar Legion. He doesn't seem to feel anything, not even hate. Everything goes on in his head. He can read a person like an open book(a bit like Holmes' deduction methods) and intimidates and blackmails with information he finds on your person or in your office or something like that. He speaks calmly and efficiently, like he's always been rehearsing, but a trickle of hate and something far, far worse can be sensed if you're acute enough. However, he is quite loyal to his country, and does serve the Polar Legion as a diplomat, scientist, intelligence agent/saboteur, and sometimes a freelance military operative for jobs from various Polar Legion officials. Don't cross him, but then again, he's already fed up with everyone else.
Bio: Maxwell was a MAD and weapons development scientist. He made many of the MADS used by the Polar Legion and has in depth knowledge of machines and weapons. After his research was finished, he was stationed as a diplomat(officially) by his country and anonymously as a intelligence agent, saboteur and freelance military operative. He is armed with an array of small concealable gadgets and weaponry, and experienced in sleuthing, deduction, and corporate espionage. He can gather lots of intel on other country's and their figures of power, and use this to cripple their operations, after all, he is a man for his country at heart.
Gear; Extendable tactical baton, concealed sleeve syringe and blade, for nonlethal or lethal injections, and stabbing. His mind itself is a weapon and a library of sensitive information, and has several armor Lockdown pills in his pocket to keep him from revealing information when in enemy hands.
________________________________________
I would really love to play as a kind of corporate spy/Sherlock Holmes kind of character, instead of just the typical soldier type. If some tweaks have to be made, fine, but can a character like this be allowed?
![Darkwatck's picture Darkwatck's picture](https://forums.spiralknights.com/sites/default/files/avatar_selection/sk_kn-coat4.png)
That moment when Psychnade realizes there arn't any app. sheets, just people throwing there lot out there.
![Psychnade's picture Psychnade's picture](https://forums.spiralknights.com/sites/default/files/avatar_selection/sk_kn-coat3.png)
I know there aren't apps, but I just want to put a whole picture of my character out there to see if Thin would accept it for the story.
![Sawhero's picture Sawhero's picture](https://forums.spiralknights.com/sites/default/files/avatar_selection/sk_kn-sca3.png)
Thin, what did you think of my hacker app? I'd love to be able to get started.
![Liminori's picture Liminori's picture](https://forums.spiralknights.com/sites/default/files/avatar_selection/sk_kn-sam1.png)
I want to make an app, But I need to know some really important factors.
For example, Does the story take place on/in Cradle, or some other land?(Nevermind, I just have to look at the map to know it's not cradle. My bad.)
How advanced is the technology?
Timelines are important too. When? 12 Years after the crash on Cradle? A million years before?
What are the limitations to making a character, Important or otherwise?
Does magic exist? Fictional things like other races?
And what the heck is the deal with Tokyo Ghoul? Oh wait, that's off topic. Sorry.
![Darkwatck's picture Darkwatck's picture](https://forums.spiralknights.com/sites/default/files/avatar_selection/sk_kn-coat4.png)
There is no Formal application spread sheet...
Second this takes place during the civil war, before the Order left and crashed on cradle, this takes place around the time the war is started, give or take 50 years circa, dated based on the fact I am to believe Ozlo isn't a of captain rank yet.
ANything else go read the OP on the main RP Thread, all the information you need is there.
![Liminori's picture Liminori's picture](https://forums.spiralknights.com/sites/default/files/avatar_selection/sk_kn-sam1.png)
Something about your comment seemed somewhat... Rude? Unbecoming? A slight aura of agression?
Anyhow.
I'm binge-asking because there is no application sheet. That, and I feel I could make an application if I honestly worked on it more than I normally do. And when I'm really serious about making a character, it usually takes me about half the day. So, Why not spend a whole day to make a character fit for use, Unlike the average-to-below-average characters I usually have.
Details are important, So I'm asking directly to Thinslayer.
Maybe I should try a duo character... Those usually end well.
And yet, I've only had two times to practice.
Hm...
![Feline-Grenadier's picture Feline-Grenadier's picture](https://forums.spiralknights.com/sites/default/files/avatar_selection/sk_item-bush.png)
Lim.
Lim-lims.
Don't put ur thought processes onto the thread man.
You sound easily offended. (lel)
And
everythingis o ddly spaced.
y u do dis leeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelelelelelolololilolilol
Now that I have your attention, hit CTRL + F and type in Thinslayer. Should jump you to the more relevant posts immediately. That, and you pretty much batted off Darkwatck's recommendations even though they were helpful (lol). Might be a little jerk-ish...no?
![Liminori's picture Liminori's picture](https://forums.spiralknights.com/sites/default/files/avatar_selection/sk_kn-sam1.png)
So what, if I'm easily offended?
So what, If I'm a walking timebomb?
What difference does it make?
I'll admit though, I really like dividing my sentences
so that people are actually paying attention
kinda like this.
Bleh.
Let me put it this way, In school, I strangled someone for cutting in line.
Or at least, that's what I used to do.
I've gotten a lot better at controlling myself though.
Just the occasional bruise to someone else or a minor stab.
So, Please.
DON'T FUCKING ANGER ME, KAY?
![Thinslayer's picture Thinslayer's picture](https://forums.spiralknights.com/sites/default/files/avatar_selection/sk_kn-rose1.png)
@Sawhero: This story is more medieval fantasy than science fiction, even though there are sci-fi elements in it. A hacker would thus be rather out of place, in my opinion. Players for the captains are still in short supply; maybe aim for one of them.
@Liminori, in reply to post #94:
Location & Setting
My thoughts on magic
The only other character "limitation."
Races
If I'm accepted with Solomon, I would pick Land grab. His own goal would be to replenish his low resources but maybe his troops, mad or jealous burn down a city or two and make the others angry. Solomon decides to push and keep what he took, a mining station is useful, so is the farm town over there.
Without the option of giving the valuable resources up, Solomon gathers his troops to fight for their new territory.
~~~
Although, I might also choose intrigue. In my mind, information is valuable, and one needs to keep tabs on enemies that were once friends. Solomon needs to know if the others are going to attack his position. Maybe our honest soldier was just covering his tracks, but he made a mistake with the assassination, and it pointed straight at him.
