^ great job, went through and read everything that's been posted so far, and have enjoyed it greatly.
constructive criticism: personally, I think you need to describe details more and explain transitions better, but it's your story, and you should continue writing it in your style, I'll continue to enjoy it no matter what, that's for sure! Describing atmosphere = awesome though.
also, I realise there have been several more posts for character 'memos', but here, use if needed:
IGN: OnyxBandit.
Gender: Male.
Equipment: Ash Tail set, Dark Thorn Shield, Faust, Avenger [also have a Vile Striker, Twisted Snarble Barb, Fiery and Freezing Atomizers if I need them].
Personality: Compassionate and forgiving, unless I'm in a bad mood, where I become incredibly hostile, even to those whom I care about.
Name [Story]: Onyx.
Likes: Anything visually appealing generally applies.
Dislikes: Complete isolation. Shock Proc. Despises Alpha Wolvers so hard.
Colour: As in Favourite colour? Either Vermilion [in-game colour] or Ultramarines Blue. Or Grey/Black if it's character/armour colour - being 'Onyx' n all.
Other Stuffz: IRL, I'm a freelance photograper [thus my likes]. Although I'm not sure how you could work with photography in a Spiral Knights story, lol.
Also, I have longer hair than a fair few women, feel free to use that as a minor character theme :L [around the wolver cap's fur length].
But feel free to play around with this character if you need to, I wont mind if you do. I'll just be happy if you use him in the first place!
I hope you don't get too inundated with your education, I'd love to see how the battle between the knights and bosses plan out :D
