•Chapter One /Ambush
One choice will change everything,
the possbilities of future choices,
who you shall meet,
what shall you do,
when everything will happen,
where it will happen,
and why it will happen.
Our future is our own to mold.
Like glass, it is fragile,
but like stone, it is strong. ~ Arus
It was quite a drafty day in the deconstruction zone, screeches from rusty gears filled the air with high pitched screams. I was just about to head down on the elevator when what sounded like the footsteps of a party of knights registered in my head. I glamced back, and there they were. One was in jelly armor, another in plate, a third one clad in cobalt, and the last one who seemed to be the leader wore an elemental set. One of them saw me, and pointed, apparantly, i wasnt wearing my uniform at the time, so they treated me like the rest of my race. The one in plate smirked before grabbing his Troika. He swung it like an axe, aiming for my forehead. I quickly skidded out of the way, and blasted his Troika with a spray of bullets from my Autogun. They all got the messege. The knight in Jelly mail flung his gun in front of him, and fired what sounded like a Callahan. Dodging out of the way, I clanked his head with a severe blow from my wrench wand. He reeled back, and grabbed another gun. Whilst the plated knight grabbed his troika off the ground. Lastly, the one in Cobalt joined in, his Ascended Calibur flashing wildly in the light. Aiming for my head, I did a backwards roll amd found his blade right in front of my hand. I shoved it with my foot, putting it on it's side, then levered tye blade, kickflipping it like a skateboard. The knight grew pissed, and drew his Master Blaster, aiming deadshot. I grabbed my Wrench again, charging it up while narrowly escaping his Troika again.
"Run back to Haven, while you still have the chanxe," I whispered under my breath.
The didnt care, as they charged full speed with weapons in stance. Such a pity.
Releasing the charge, I fired an Ember Bolt at one, losing his charged and collapsing on the ground dead. Another released his charged Troika, bring it into a overhead swing. The ground parted and I took advantage of the situation. Letting the force propell me above another knight, I reverse kicked and sent him screaming downwards. While i was in midair, I grabbed both of my Autoguns and fired rapidly, and pushed the plated knight screaming into the depths of the clockworks. Landing clean, Ishot a quick glance behind my shoulder. I saw the last knight, fury and rage blurring in his eyes, and a Final Flourish in his hand.
"A pity.." I taunted, feeding his hunger for blood like coal and a fire.
With a twist of the stance and a sliding dash, I knocked the blade right off the hilt. With him thrown back by the power of that blow, I saw the blade as it struck into the ground. The knight got up, and loadded his pepperbox. I ducked behind a metal wall and listened as bullets made dents the size of fists, that simmered with heat. Taking out my Cutter that I erm, "found", I noticed that he stopped firing. Holding my sword in a defensive stance, he round the corner, and pointed his gun at me, a seriously screwed up smile on his face. He grinned, and pushed the trigger of the gun.
Not worrying a bit that a dozen blazing red hot bullets were traveling straight generally into my head. I just swung the Cutter a few dozen times in rapid sucession. The smoke from impact into the sword hung around me like a mist.I leapt from the haze and without warning, knocked him off his feet and pinned him to the ground. The knight didnt even have time to react.
"I surrender" He pleaded, those same eyes that were once brewing with hate soon became eyes that were begging for mercy. Pathetic.
My Acheron, which i didnt want to use at that moment, was thrown to the side. Instead, you remember that Flourish Blade earlier?
"I, we, nor the king has mercy for those who attack our world," I growled, a deep hate and baritone backing up my words.
Guess what happened to that guy. I took his dead body, and placed it in the elevator. I punched the "up" button, and said bye to the flourish that was sticking out of his face. Believe me my friends... NEVER, mess with a gremlin that is a trusted member of the Crimson Order.
thats a very good story i read keep it up
