@Mwisdom the reason i rage was because we just finished JK and my friend got a 4* shield from a loot box and he joined right before boss
Yes, it works again.
Still no official response though, after 5 days of being unable to login.
Well, I guess it's a good sign that people can login again.. now we just have to wait for an announcement to know if it's really fixed or if it was just luck xD
It's working again! Phew close call, almost made it outside.
dunno who did it, what it was. relogged a few times just for the sake of paranoia that would likely be "HA TROLLED.JPG" but it works for now. Going to buy that last 25 left on my steam. :D
Holy Crap! It Works!!! Thanks OOO team :) I'm curious what the problem turned out to be ~~
Joining the group of people now saying that it works now. Whatever OOO did, they did a hell of a job. :D
LOL, because sunlight is so evil.
Anyways. I was kindly welcomed back to Spiral Knights with a display driver error. Why thank you SK, I really needed that, to feel right at home again. :)
Jokes aside... thank goodness this game is accessible again, through Steam. Now we can all return to normalcy until the next issue.
Except now we may have to deal with "We want compensation for the down time." for the next few days. Whether they plan to compensate us, or not is fine by me.
i can log in omg YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
Thanks SEGA for restoring the account. I'm glad that I'm able to log into SK once again. Thanks
FYI, Sega has absolutely nothing to do with programming the game----they're just a corporate sponsor, basically.
Kudos to OOO and Valve's Steam team for getting this business sorted out.
Logon is now possible! Access to the clockworks, enabled!
Spiral Knights, Initiated! Commence destruction of Jellies :D
Well the main question can we get that mist energy that we lost at least as ce.
@Artreidis: *Shakes Magic 8-ball* .... its showing a picture that I can't describe for reasons of decency...
Anyway, they won't compensate mist energy since its a "FREE" resource already given to the players. Most likely they'll do a power surge weekend to let players catch up, but other then that theres no reason to compensate people when nothing other then time was lost.
Give me back my time =D
My friends in tier 5 now and im stuck on 4 =D
Can you fast-forward my Sk-ing life by the time that was lost? kthnxbai
>< Crazy this late at knight.
We believe the authentication issue has been resolved. Please do let us know if you continue to see this error.
I had one just now, and it would not let me back in for about 2 minutes (after I logged off and logged back in).
I was just finished with a lockdown game when it happened (if that helps)
That seems to have been a broad Steam failure. For a moment almost every Steam player was kicked, but everyone was back online within about 5 minutes.
Okay im a Steam user and i JUST got the game TODAY, and i played the game, became an absolute addict to it in 3 minutes get off after about an hour and 30 minutes try to log back on later and i get this message from JAVA Virtual Machine Launcher
"Invalid or corrupt jarfile getdown-pro.jar"
Please HELP!!!
This is going to be a long shot, but you can try deleting the getdown-pro.jar in the main SK folder, then go into the \code\ folder and copy the getdown-pro-new.jar into the main folder, then rename it gerdown-pro.jar
If that doesn't work, then rour going to have to uninstall the game and reinstall it.
So I guessed right then. The game launches using a 2 stage process. Stage 1 is the patcher (aka Getdown) that checks for updates, and possible damage to the game files (not perfect, but can detect corrupted jars). In stage 2, the patcher launches a 2nd instance of java that will actually load and run the game itself (aka projectx).
The problem is getdown can't update itself while its running, so its up to projectx to apply the update to getdown if a new version is posted. Thats why you'll sometimes see the patcher window reopen 2 or 3 times with certain updates. But if getdown becomes corrupted, the entire process dies at stage 1 with no fall back option to repair itself. Incidentally, getdown-pro-new.jar is where it stores the updated file until it has a chance to replace the one in the main folder. Had that file been corrupted as well, you'd be SOL and be forced to reinstall the game (or get the file from someone else).
So I am now having this authentication issue again, going to resubmit a ticket.
Avoid resurrecting this thread, or it'll confuse people looking for a solution. I've started a new thread to specifically track the 10/11/11 update.
i get this message every time i try to open spiral knights Java Virtual Machine Launcher
Invalid or corrupt jarfile getdown-pro.jar
@Arab-Warrior: Start a new thread, and stop resurrecting this from over a month ago....
i have the same problem started from today and i am on windows, tried to go offline and online on steam and restarting of pc nothing worked, and for the information i got logout from SK with this error message that i am logged on from another pc or authentication error and now i am not able to login on SK.
