Here is my first few trials

And I would like to do a fanfic based on the cat thief. But I would like to know background info first please before starting.

@Isenfir
I'll add you to it when I have time
@Atrumvindex
There is no background story to her, I'm going to try letting her character go "free range" as an experiment and see what happens, you go ahead and try something, just don't kill her off :P
Maybe if you write a story I'll update a sort of 'biography' for her, others can work off of that perhaps.

at first i used spiral spy to try out accessories, then i saw how good the people here are at rendering...
here are a few of mine!
this was first one, copy pasted in MS paint (i suck at photoshop)
http://i1094.photobucket.com/albums/i452/netmafiagospel/skwall.png
then i learned how to add models directly in spiral spy
http://i1094.photobucket.com/albums/i452/netmafiagospel/lejellie.png
and recently (since i started FSC runs) I added more models plus character animations..
I loved Happyapathy's in your face Vanaduke pic, so i decided to make my own version with my character Gospel...

im really thrilled with this program and the works people make!!! i hope to see more!

Happy, don't worry about views, people enjoy your art. I personally don't come around the treasure vault as much given I usually stick to general discussion (and lately with certain threads, I have stopped checking the forums), but I check when I remember. :D

File>Environment>Restore
Then find the scene file.
neither the txt or dat files load from your character sets

you use those files to 'build' her like a model kit using the text as a guideline, player_nekomi.dat is just a renamed model_level.dat file, put that first in Spiral Spy like you would with a model_level.dat file, then place helm_kathat.dat as the helm and set it to the specified variant. For the armor use the armor_rearpouch_recolor.dat and follow the recoloring instructions in the text file, and so on. The files aren't actually meant to load her up directly into Spiral Spy, they just make it easy to recreate her like you would make any other character.

- Character gear: Dragon Scale helm, Vog Cub Coat, DA, Voltedge (I'll explain). Character color (and everything else) is red :)
- Accessories: Helm: Heavy Spike Mohawk, Heavy Helm-Mounted Display, Heavy Mecha Wings. Armor: Flame Aura, Pumpkin Bandolier, Volcanic Wolver Tail (matches Vog Cub).
- Setting: Dark Firestorm Citadel (shadow layer one) with Swarm infected slag walkers walking towards character (not even sure if they exist, if not just regular slag walkers).
- Action: I Would like him to be facing a mob of slag walkers, with the DA in his right hand, resting on his shoulder, and the Voltedge held reverse in his left hand with the point in the ground
- If you need a screenshot of what I mean for the character itself i can provide that...
- yeah, the portrait thing you have would be cool, but i would like it to be usable for a 1680x1050 background :)

Remeber the mystery scene? :P
It took me awhile to find a way to make the Grimalkins look asleep, but it worked. Sorry for taking so long to post it up >.<
Enjoy!

Take your pic (A ha ha, I crack myself up :3)
Alt Link: http://s1201.photobucket.com/albums/bb349/ProjectRay/Spiral%20Knights/Sp...
Btw I'm sorry but I couldn't find an animation with the sword on his shoulder and the hand lined up right for the left to be on the ground, maybe Happyapathy could find that out. Also I still have it up so if you want any changes just ask!
P.S. It might not look like the DA is on his shoulder, but it is :P. It's just the angle

only 2 things i have to ask for :3
1: could you make the character color of the mecha wings Red? (they are pink right now xD)
2: could I get a shot of him from the front as well? And maybe make the angle you have already but a little wider (not sure if thats possible so just let me know :P)

1: done
2: from the front there would be no zombies D: oly made it for that angle (took forever even so)
2b: cant make wider, sorry
3: which backround do you want, the shadows, basic or whitespace?
4: did you notice my little gag? :P it involves a skele
P.S. Happyapathy, whats the Consumed skybox used for in the game exactly?

I only want the front angle for my Ipod background :P the one you already made will be my computer background :D
after for background of the pic, yeah the shadows would be good
4. yes, yes I did xD

can you teach me how to add multiple knights? :v

Enjoy!
Also i made the one for Ipod less wide, and just after I took the screenshot it crashed so I can't edit it again D:
Hope you like it though!
P.S. Yes I just now realized the Eye thingy is pink /sigh
:S Hope you enjoy it anyway!

love it!
just wish i knew what i was doing in Spiral Spy xD

Even though its been said before:
Go to edit>prefrences
Click New enviroment model
search around until you find the character folder
go to pc
go to model.dat
Ta da!
@ndognine
Yw and np, If you ever want another scene, ask me or happy
also I'd enjoy feedback on my other works :D
Photobucket.com/almire

how does it look now?
http://i772.photobucket.com/albums/yy5/Ndog921/CursedBackroundIpod.png

also btw
love the dying skelly in the background...makes him look that much more badass :D

:D I love making scenes after the player has killed something :P

still havent tried double wield... im so jelly right now...
but anyway... heres a litte something new.. The Sun
http://i1094.photobucket.com/albums/i452/netmafiagospel/thesun.png
question: ive been using preferences, new model for adding things... I want to add knights, but i cant change the poses when i use this method...
any insight on how i could do it?

look aorund in the thread for Happyapathy's "Start Automatically" method

Aw hey, I have a small request! Something like four knights fighting on an Shock-themed arena.. Probably with Mecha Knights and a Lumbers around! Would that be ok?
Knight#1: Red colour, full Snarbolax set, holding a Combuster and Heater Shield using a charge attack
Knight#2: Viridian colour, Crown Of the Fallen, Azure Guardian Armor, holding a Cold Iron Vanquisher and a Barbarous Thorn Shield charging against the Lumber
Knight#3: Cyan colour, Skolver Cap, Valkyrie Mail, holding a Wild Hunting Blade and a Wise Owlite Shield probably guarding herself.
Knight#4: Sky colour, Full Royal Jelly set + Royal Jelly shield, placing a Shivermist Buster between the knights.
I hope that's not too hard :I
I should actually try to learn how to use Spiral-Spy correctely, but as you said, it's hard because the program usually crashes so yea!

I'm going to be quite busy with real work for a bit now so you may not see anything new from me till around Christmas, just so you know.

I work on it when I have the chance! But, I might not get around to it for awhile.
@Happyapathy
D: >.<

They say plagiarism is the greatest form of flattery.
Might flesh this out later.
Anyways, awesome stuff so far - looking forward to more.

Someone once made the comment "Spiral Spy pics are like sandcastles," meaning, that you can't save your work. When you want to create a new scene you have to destroy everything from the previous and start from scratch. I found out however, that this is not entirely the case. Turns out, you can save environments that you have created! So, say you created the entire Town square. You can save all the work you put into it and use it again and again. This also saves the extra knights and enemies you created within that environment as well, however it does not save their poses. :(
A lot of you probably already knew all this, but I thought it would be worth sharing anyway because, well, I just found out. ^o^
Also, I'm gonna try to make a few environments, such as the auction house and the arcade, and make them available to everybody. I'm not sure how big the files will be when I'm done though, so this may not work out.

Some of this stuff on here is pretty good. I love the mini-gun. And Nekomi is quite adorable, although I haven't built her in Spiral-Spy yet, I do have plans for her :)
Now then, on to some scenes I created, or just random pictures.
First off, a character based off of a fan-fic I created some time ago (not SK related, although I did have a version...but I don't plan on submitting it anytime soon). As to how I created him, I had to redo a lot of textures (Chaos Series, Nightblade, redo poison drippings to look like blood, default grey striker added blood), stuck some blades on his back, some sword sheaths on his hips, and finally some blades attached to his feet. The first picture is a basic introduction, his name, and his general look. The rest are him dueling with another character I created.
Introduction
Duel Scene One
Duel Scene Two
Duel Scene Three
Duel Scene Four
Secondly, another character based off of the same fan-fic, although this time I give no name, since atm it would not make sense (not that Solarion makes much sense either, but...). Slightly inspired by the mini-gun Happyapathy created, I kinda made my own version based off of what this character could do. Thus I present what appears to be the first ever, hand "mini-gun".
Next, I bring forth a bunch of images showing what one can do when they know how to edit textures. These are edits of both the Vog Cub and the Skolver in a way that I thought would be more beneficial to the look. Skolver is a little broken, and Vog Cub could be refined a bit, but for the most part they are both "done".
Vog Cub Front Vog Cub Back
Skolver Front Skolver Back
Also, these do work in game, and to prove it, here is a video I took of myself when I changed the Vog Cub texture, into something completely different.
That's not how your suppose to blend in!
Finally, a scene I recently completed inspired by the run of UFSC I completed a couple nights ago with Happyapathy, Culture, and Vcat. This scene comes in 4 forms, the original, and some Photoshop edits.

Thats all I have to show for now. The artwork that is coming from this model viewer is simply incredible, and continues to get better as time progresses.
Looking forward to seeing more artwork in the future.

Amazing /applaud
I wish I could devote that much time to do those kind of things, now if only I were better at retextures...
Anyway amazing job with the minigun, character, and especially the retextures!
I look forward to your future works.

I apologize for the lack of feedback from me, I'm liking these pieces but I'm still very busy and don't have time to really comment or update my thread here, as I said it may not be until around Christmas that I can really comeback to doing my Spiral Spy scenes.

Does anyone know where to find the Merchant Packs? The ones that the Strangers and the Spiral Knights wear? I know you can find them and attach them when using the npc models but I want to know where the actual files are so I can attach them to other character models like monsters and pcs.

Thanks. I kept on looking around the Crew section. It never occurred to me that it would be in the Stranger section for some reason.

If your like me and work out of a rsrc folder separate from the game, you will need to update it to include content added by the latest patch. There are a number of new things, I'll tell you now there are a few unreleased armors/helms cause your going to find them anyways (nothing for gunslingers >:( ). There are also a few new props, and one particularly interestingly suggestive prop (It's out of this world ;) ) for what may be coming in the future.

just copy the new rsrc folder from the main SK folder and overwrite the one you use for Spiral Spy, if you use Windows 7 it should allow you to "merge" it so any sort of custom files you have won't be erased, I'm not sure about other OS' though.

I'll be on the lookout. Also if you use a unreleased item and put it up for display in a scene, but DO NOT say what it is, is that still enough to piss em off? (Rephrase, to break TOS?)

I use Mac OSX. I only see one rsrc folder. Does it update automatically maybe?

At Long Last, for Happyapathy:

There are four more on the site if you want to find out what it is.

Shutting up. ._.

the topic it was referring to is in the graveyard, and honestly it was very dangerous for fair game play, but I could do such cool things with it...

Unfortunately I couldn't find a good way to add in the ropes and reins from the picture, and didn't have enough time to fiddle around with the pictures in Photoshop, if someone else would like to give it a try I would be very pleased to see the results :)
Here's one of the best parts about this scene:
@Happyapathy
The character set for Nekomi works well, though haven't tried any of the bonuses, you, or here chameleon.
Also, I have a little project I've been working on and here's a glimpse!
