I posted a fix for the kat helms which can be found on my download page, I still haven't looked into fixing Margel yet though.
Thx for telling me the fix!
When you fix Margel, wll the spiralspy go 1.3?
I found partly a way to fix him( I posted it), but the wings...

This is my fixed Margrel.
How?
When I fixed him first time, I didn't save the wing texture when I changed the material, Margel's body was a different model.
Sooooo, I had to save the wings as well.

Download it as well or it will be broken.
Well i don't think i found the fix kat helm link...
And i can use your Margel.dat...
Remember to save it in the rsrc folder and nothing else.
What is the material for both wings and Margrel?
Is the wings called Wings.dat?
I have use it and it was great!
But still can't find the fix Kat helm...
write the link for me?
Happy where can I find the rocket puppy rocket bullet?
Hey Haps,
I know we talked about this, but I'm still having trouble replicating what you did with Zahir. Just about the only thing that isn't inside-out when I apply the left-handed animation is the shield. Any other transforms that I apply a -0.90 scale value to are unaffected by the change. Basically, the armor is still inside out and "technically the helmet is too (at first, I didn't think it was but for some reason, helmets are the same inside and out as well as several accessories). When you can, please let me know if I should either change the scale values for each transform (and if so, to what?) or if there's something else going on here.
You made it sound pretty easy, and I assumed that each transform I made would be configured the same way. I'm sure it's something I got wrong or misunderstood.
Thanks in advance and please reply soon!

The rocket puppy missile is located in the parts folder of the rocket puppy npc folder.
In other words:
rsrc => character => npc => monster => rocketpuppy => parts => bullet_rocket.dat
Thanks for the files, but I already need the caps files, like the kat hats (for example when I put a kat hat i can't see the texture)...do you now how to fix?
Happyapathy, I found that dust bunny has no skin. Just like the Margel.
...but can someone answer this: When I put the Spiral Spy program in the correct directory and it says that I still need to, what do I do?
I’m still here if your wondering, but in what seems to be a strangely consistent paradox of my life the end of the school term and the arrival of summer seems to always result in me been MORE busy and having less time to work on Spiral Spy rather then giving me more time to spend on it. I probably won’t be able to post anything until June due to the fact I’m going to be romping around the Grand Canyon and gambling away my life savings in Vegas during the month of May, however if things go according to plan I should be able to come back in June WITH A VENGEANCE and get a whole lot of new stuff posted. So until then I apologize for the delay and thank you for your patience (or make a rude gesture with my hand for your impatience, depending on your disposition).
I'll just hijack this thread to make a proposal (for those who don't read the general forums):
I got back from my month long trip about a week ago and have since posted 3 new things on my tumblr page:
Thunder Naginata
Snarb Puppies
Project Spiffy Snipes
I'm currently looking into fixing the models for the Storm Promo armors and helms so they work in Spiral Spy, so yeah that's what I'm up to right now.
I made these recently and posted on my Tumblr page but neglected to mention them here:
I really need to take some time to reorganize this thread...
Hey! Fellow Spiral Spy user. I have a few questions, firstly, how do you get multiple knights on the one spiral spy page? Still haven't figured it outXD
Also, how can I string a list of animations to play a video? I've tried before, but it just errors up on me 0.o
You need to place knight models in the Preference window, I actually don't use the default knight model that appears at all, I just clear the thing and leave it empty in all the scenes I make.
As for animations that's something I haven't done much (I'm more into single shot scenes rather then animations) though I know to do what you want, you need to make a new "Sequential" Animation by opening up any Edit panel, going File>New>Animation then changing the animation Type to Sequential, you can then create a series of animations that will play in order, you save this and set that as the animation to be played under the models Animation Mappings. Only times I've really used this is to setup characters for custom posing like with my two-handed weapon poses but it will do what your asking for.
P.S. I really REALLY suck at explaining things through posted instructions, which is why I've made pretty much no tutorials to explain what I do, to be honest the only way you'll likely get some decent instructing is by tracking me down in game or through Steam and getting some live chat instructions.
I should be able to figure out the rest on my own, so I should be set now. Thanks again!
Well, if you didn't catch my latest thread, i have been into spiral spy lately... was wanting to pop a few questions, if that is ok with you, Happyapathy.
1. All the downloads on your tumblr page are broken for me... i don't know why, every time i try to load any file, be it an animation or a weapon, it bugs out on me and goes through a multi second proccess of absolutely NOTHING. Any odds you could shed some light on what may be of issue? Would make my animating a lot easier and allow me to turn much more time to the quality of the animation of the video and audio to not spend so much time assembling the set, only needing to do that when i want a more complex setup, as opposed to... you know... just the floor beneath my feet (really... the voiceover in my last one took a hearing aid for even a cat to hear it.). Would also add to aesthetics to have those lovely opening wolver caps and helm fixes of yours
2. Have been diving into it, and noted you have used a few animations i can't seem to track in any folder that seems practical... shrugging, sitting, and i recall a few others... they just aren't there... I aready know how to access the animations that aren't shortcutted, but... they just... i can't find them. Period. Any odds you could give me some pointouts?
3. I have combined animations in spiral spy plenty in my experimentation... but... yours.... they come put quite flawlessly and seem to work well. Moreover, there are some that appear to be used in the combinations that normally override the others when used.... and if they work when animated it would be a plain miracle i want in on. Bottom line... tell.. me... the... secret
1. Do you work directly out from the Spiral Knights game directory or separate one like I do? Sounds like its got something to do with the "Resource Directory" setting found at top of the Preference window, while it always say 'rsrc' it can be set to different ones, like the one the game uses or the one you use for Spiral Spy if you use a different one, the fact nothing is happening, even with animations, suggests that perhaps Spiral Spy can't find them at all because its not in the rsrc its looking in.
2. rsrc>characters>pc>emotes
3. I use a lot of custom modified animations that I have changed to include things like speed control, tick policy, and as for Overriding there is a property called just that in the Edit panel for animations that can be switched on and off that allows it to override other animations, you can also set its 'priority' to determine which animation gets played over the other (for example the Height Adjustment animation has a priority of 33, meaning it pretty much overrides all other animations all the time).
1. I formerly worked out of the same directory.... that is, untill i got into making more than one character move and some rather "interesting" animation glitches came up. The elevator and inventory animations got screwy, and when an update that fixed the issue hit, i chose to copy the directory. I now work from a dupe directory right on my desktop. A thorough analysis has assured me that it IS indeed linked to the proper directory, though; perhaps the files have to be placed in a specific part of their respective section of the rsrc to work that i haven't tried yet? The download instructions don't detail some obscure directory path, so at the moment they are just being placed where it makes sense.
2. What? No way it is that simp-oh... I see...
Why didn't i guess something like that? Little convenient that that was the one folder i missed in my search of the PC files. Finally my knights can sit, poke, and salute to my content
3. Hmm... this is interesting. This could easily expand my ability to create custom, fine-tuned animation sequences to make my animations look much more real and less, well... repetitive. I will play around with this and see where it gets me, and hopefully i will be limited only by the number of animations there are to apply. Off of curiosity (because i am compelled to ask these things) i wouldn't suppose that the animation modification requires any additional programs, would it?
Your not putting my downloads into folders other then rsrc ITSELF right?
For instance if you downloaded one of my downloads that comes in a folder called "Item_Sets" you would place it like:
rsrc>Item_Sets>*whatever*
NOT
rsrc>*some other folder*>Item_sets>*whatever*
that would break the file path for whatever is in the folder as they are set to be read through a specific file path from the rsrc.
I'm currently in the process of moving all the old things, deleting some, and just in general starting fresh, I'll post back once I have something set up
Just as a heads up: I just uploaded v1.3. It should be up to date with the current client build.
Tried some of the broken models, now they work like a charm! I can't tell you how grateful I am, thank you for taking the time to do this, really!
P.S. I'll be sure to check out Spiral Spy 1.3, thanks for posting that
That picture doesn't make you look in any way productive, happy (apathy, lol) or able to work.
If only 3O hires more developers...Then..A similar-a-like-Spiral Spy..Easier animation....etcs.... :(
Always dreamed to be an Animator but..Impossible since it has alot of restriction movement and can't make a Custom moves(Hardly)...
Do I even mention no one view this thread and just never comment?
