SPIRAL SPY SCENES (Un-Update (You read that right) Aug. 28)
I used your texture fix for the Kat hat and the Plate helms. It worked with the old Kat hat but not the new ones and from what I could see the plate helm was as broken as ever. also the Rose hats have white textures.
did you take the files out from Item_Sets folder? Not saying you did but the files aren't supposed to be moved out from the Item_Sets folder, which itself is suppose to be put into the rsrc folder, NOT into any sub-folders within the rsrc. The way I've set up the files they should refer to the textures found in the Item_Sets folder, not to the ones found in the items folder, moving the files may break the file path that is in place.
Also are you using Spiral Spy v1.1 or v1.2?

I've spent the last little while working on those compounds, I'll be returning to actual scene making now that I've got a satisfactory point with it.

I'll be writing up a basic tutorial on it sometime in the near future, but the best thing you can do is download the sample tileset that is there and try it yourself.

You should be able to find the large chunks in the 'compound' folder under 'custom', using the edit panel you should be able to see how I connect all the pieces together to make the larger ones.

New Edited Helms and Custom Helms Available for Download!
Just uploaded a new edited_helms.zip file which not only contains fixed versions of the Rose Regalia Chapeaus and Lizard Hats (as well as the Kat Hats and Plate Helms), but also custom made open wolver cap helms that can be used to show the face of wolver gear equipped characters.
Post 305 there is a problem I checked it out it. The compound skin says error like the walls say's error. I'll try to post a picture.
One spy to another, the material for the kat hat's model set should actually be two-sided > masked (soft).
Well, it should really TRULY be two-sided > masked (soft) (dark back), but you know, with the spiral spy creator no longer updating the materials...
Anywho, I found this out a solid month ago. While it's not entirely accurate (intended look: two-sided with the back (interior) being darker than the front (exterior)), it's as close to accurate as we can get, unless someone wants to take SS's job of manually recreating missing materials.
Thank you reporting these problems, however some more detail (like which files/models specifically) would be helpful, do you mean all of them or just some of them?

@Happy yes it does work. But Im talking about the compound revolution it's not working when I downloaded the sample.
please tell me if you mean a specific model file and which one, I can't find out whats wrong (like a broken file path) unless i know where i should be looking.
Also, I remember i gave you an earlier version to look at, did you simply overwrite that one with the new one? Cause I've made changes since then and the files may be looking for something that's been renamed or altered. Try deleting the ss_spytileset folder altogether and downloading the new one again.

(The new.dat might be a spoil but I din't put an awesome ROT-13 on it, deal with it.)
But I'm confused on how to make a compound.
When I make the paths, it doesn't do anything.
The test handgun model is quite old actually, been there for a while. As for the broken models the first understructre.dat is suppose to be white, and there is a chance I may have uploaded a slightly incomplete version of the prop_clockworks folder there. I will be explain more about compound use in the near future.
As for the other new stuff, its nice to see OOO is finally going somewhere now, guess their Doctor Who RPG wasn't raking in enough cash.
@Softhead Yeah I got confused there too..
Now that you've made open wolver helms, how about other helms like the bombhead? Would that work out?
I think I won't be doing that, at least not anytime soon.

Hey Happy there's a new problem that started...Whenever I go to Preferences> Character > Pc > Modelt.dat
Then I click label.dat> Hurthard.dat The screen goes all white until I restart the program..

If you want to play the "Hurt_Hard.dat" animation use the model_level.dat rather than the regular one, he have some animation the other don't have, like hurt_hard. (And OMG I just find how to change the height of a knight :o)

Very nicely done, if you want I can add this to my download page (with due credit), though I personally would rename it something other then 'model.dat', I prefer more descriptive names instead of what OOO does with giving about a 100 different things the same title.

Just to further the answer you've already gotten, the reason why your program is crashing is because your trying to place an animation where a model should go, all animations should be placed under the 'animation mappings' area of a character model, anywhere else will crash the program.
You can use it without cradit if you want, just notice that he is broken. (see below.)
And I name it "model.dat" cause he is wort of what to look at first if you don't know what you're dealing with, like "any" other files.
The "Colorization" field don't seem to work, at all.
I've try with thesse path:
implementation.models[0].model (change the file)
implementation.models[1].model (same)
implementation.models[1].transform (keep the angle and such)
implementation.models[0].transform (the collar was stuck in the visor)
but the colorization seem to always be overwrited(exept the face, models[2]) so, yeee. Thus I can't get the path to only return the config field I can't do anything for the overwrite :\
PS: I rename everything to match my work style so if it work soon, I'm srcewed.

The model of Margel you gave kinda works, but is still broken in some ways, also there are no "EtD" compounds per-say at this moment, though I am almost finished converting the existing ones to the poison theme.
Can you explain how it can't?

Yes and no, if you remember I said at about 100-150 environment models Spiral Spy gets overloaded with data and crashes as a result...
BUT
Using compounds you can greatly reduce the data load of objects by grouping them together to point where you can place 1000's of models through the use of compound objects. So in other words you can use a compound to group all of your floor tiles, walls, etc into a single environment model leaving you with plenty of space for things like characters and more dynamic items.
I'm needing pictures of CWs rooms, walkways and such, and I don't have time to play All of them.

It's not hard to build a large number of reference pics, just take a few shots every time you do a level and it will build up quickly.
