How long have ye been playing Lockdown? I know it's not going to be a year but as far as I know most players improve less than 2~3 months, and I took longer than that. I used to be a scrub using Vog Cub and Combuster to deal 5k damage, until I meet Anly and her friends, most notably of Finesse members, I was inspired by Dredio, for swords. This is my first start and I should say, most of the things I always ask is from him, even guns. One day, I asked him that does he have some sort of bad latency, he answers that he has a good latency, yup. I even asked if he is willing to try Europe servers one day, as I assume he was from US. He did. It came into my mind that, hey, having a bad ping ain't hurting at all.

I read some of yer post, Kattamoon, and I know ye're a girl living in Chile, living at somewhere near a shore, ye have 2 bars of latency by using wireless connection, I also did the same thing! Wireless connection! I just had a new network driver stuffed up into my computer after 1 week and I have no longer needed to use that thing. It was a pain that I kept disconnecting all the time using a bad network. I've said to some of my friends I'm dealing with this wireless adapter and finally when we have a better connection, it feels great. I know how that feels. Which it means if ye really can't play with yer current connection cause trouble, I really should recommend ye getting a better one. Really. No offense.

While that ye asked about if I have problems dealing with players that have ASI VH weapons, that will be Ezho. Ezho combos me after attacking once and pulls out his AP just to stop me from counter. I ended up doing nothing to him.
Rubyeclipse is a good player, cool under pressure. I doubt ye would want to be mad having him as yer opponent if ye know how to spar well.
Canozo's a decent player where I can spar fairly as we cross swords fairly too.
And I've said I fought Exileddread before, like I said, he's not that impossible, he is POSSIBLE.
Thengel and Meida are quite challenging to fight, thus same as Exileddread, they are also possible to fight with.
And Manhoe.. no comment. I do not know more about this person although I fought him before, but I don't recall.

Having those weapons doesn't mean they are good. All people want is skills, and items are just additionally buffing to their strength. Asking for handicaps means ye think he is impossible, thus it brings cower in yer face.

Kattamoon, me thinks ye want to go tournaments especially WCG, sayeth I. If ye are truly a serious player from most of the games ye can play well, and if ye're really willing, try it. I'll support ye.

I had seen this girl from Taiwan and she is a skilled DotA player who participated tournaments before. Maybe ye should try. :3

So, uh, guys. I hope y'all haven't forgotten about the purpose of this thread? Name those those who impress you in Lockdown. Yes, many players have been mentioned, but there are always rising stars amongst our ranks.

Speaking of...

Meida is the terror of the European server...or so I find them. The moment I see them on the player-list I curse silently and brace myself for a tough fight. I can count on one hand how many times I've come out of an encounter with them on the field alive.
Mitzy-Ro, someone who I see less often, is close to that level. Very close. But that doesn't mean I find 'em any easier to fight. By no means.
Norespekt is another remarkable striker, but from what I have seen their only good point is how much of a killer they are. As a team-player, they are lacking in captures in most games where I encounter them, but as an opponent you should watch yourself. As mentioned previously, they live up to their name.
Solimando (forgive me if it's incorrect, as I am going off of terrible memory banks here (despite just recently encountering them) is another impressive player. Sporting a halo that has become some sort of trademark for their skolver cap, they blaze around and bring havoc to the opposing team, myself included should I be on said team.
Another one I recently encountered is Levitch, and despite my best efforts they were always one notch above me, besting me in nearly all of our games, and as such I have recognized them as some sort of rival.
Mhmok is an excellent gunslinger, and always gives me a handful whenever we cross paths. I almost find myself falling back on my own guns, as approaching them with a sword is usually far too dangerous.

Those are some of the outstanding players I've recently encountered that come to mind. I would like to have mentioned some guardians and recons as well, but there are none that stand out from my recent games, I'm afraid.

I think Levitch and Meida are better than plebby.

Well, I don't see like, ANYONE getting a ton of EU players.
Everyone for US has been named. I enjoy seeing some EU players named.
Honestly, I agree that everyone has the potential, but honestly most have been named here.

If someone other then Shidara had made his list, then I'm sure Shidara would find his name on it. He's a fantastic player.

Anyway.
I am mainly a European player, but I go into the American side when the European side is deserted, or when I simply feel like it. As such, I don't see a lot of American players very often, and digging through my memory banks won't do much good when I can't remember how a player, well, plays anymore. So because of this, when I mention anyone, they are most likely going to be European players. Not that it's a bad thing - they've earned their recognition.
I also encountered a pretty good Recon just earlier, but of course I cannot remember their name... I deeply apologize to that individual. I'll come with another list in the future when I've had enough encounters. Until then!

I consider myself a rather decent LD player, easily breaking 10-15k in damage with HORRISH amounts of lag at my asian one dot connection.

Spinex: Nope, just skill. You haven't been here for even a month, so you're nowhere close. A player might have all the best UVs, trinkets, and gear, but if he doesn't know how to utilize even half of them then there's no point in having them in the first place. Some people can do fine without any of them, which shows that they've been playing this game for a very long time.

And a good player isn't always the one who gets most damage or caps. It's more or less the one who can work best with any given team out there. If your buddies don't have your back or you decide to focus on damage alone, then it's not really a team effort, which is mostly what LD is about (IMO). There are different strategies for different teams/guilds. Take Wolfpack for example. The first time I fought them in LD, they completely smashed us. It was because most of them were strikers and traveled in groups. They managed to work as a team, not focusing all that much on individual power.

Good player = Who doesn't NEED/USE Auto-Target, and can mantain a decent level, working as a team and reading the oponent.
Best Players = Who NEVER NEED/USE AA, who doesn't NEED UVs to make a difference, who doesn't take pics of his dmg to feel that he worth something, the one who doesn't NEED other ppl telling him that he's "good".

Basically, the one who can fight and make a difference without "help".

So.... GvG it's a HUGE JOKE... AA it's another HUGE LAME Joke.. and this kind of thread and the "Most DMG U EVAR MADE!!!!" ... are sooooo lame..

Hya guys . I've seen abit this topic and thx guys ^^ i always whanted to be a pro and i worked hard ..and still working becose i know alot of players that i have some nice fight with xD i can tell the name of some (sry if i dont mension all but is a frikin big list) meida,mhmok,thrillhaus,nalrail,solimado,hadn,nercore,icegill,sypsy,rubyeclipse and well there are many many more XD
The reason that i dont play to much in EU is becose of lag ...dont know why i have more lag in eu(4 ping) than in us(2 ping)...so that the us is a bit less lagy ...i u guys can found me there XD

Feller you seem to think everyone is doing all this out of insecurity and self-doubt. Let me tell you, that is WRONG. matter of fact its nearly the opposite. Many people take pics to prove their worth, to earn a name, to be THE best. We don't NEED someone to tell us we are good, rather we are proving to everyone else out their that we are the best. When an athlete wins a medal, does he or she hide in the darkest corner of there closet tell absolutely no one of their achievement? Although I agree with your post about AA and such, Trying to act humble is not part of a competetive sport and it does not support an attitude of self-improvement.
