((Um... Can you change Terarr a little bit? He looks like a monster! It might help if you remove the belly button, or did you not make the picture? And, also, my app shows that Terarr is blue, not purple. I hope this post doesn't offend you. I mean, it's good if you think it's good, but you said on your last post to give suggestions.

((Oops! Sorry about that! I was trying to make him smile .... but I guess it didn't come out right. I had forgotten about his color, since I was offline, and I don't have the new apps saved, so I'll fix that and try to make him more ... friendly-looking, I guess?

EDIT: Okay, I made some changes. He's now blue and I adjusted his face a little (bigger eyes and all that) to try and make him cuter. Not sure how else to make a monster not look like a monster. I didn't see the bellybutton part of the comment until after I had re-saved (I thought the bellybutton was cute), so if you really want it gone I'll go back and adjust it again. It's a quick fix.))

((EDIT @Isis: I know that we've described Bettit and Vakros as being "awkward looking" and "creepy looking", respectively, but I can't NOT make them cute. Didn't know whether I should draw goggles on him, so left them off.))

((Okay, thanks. He no longer looks like a monster, so you don't have to worry about that, but could you send me a picture when he doesn't have belly button? Then I can see if I like him with or without one. Okay, back to the RP.))

"Now what? The gremlin is gone, and.. Oh, right! The boss said something about a 'manager's tent'! I wonder where that is," Thought Terarr. Aloud, he said, "Can anybody direct me to the manager's tent?"

Devilites

((Here you go, Ebil.

Looks like Terarr dipped on you, Treaman.))

Green Devilite

One of the green devilites, a middle manager who had been supervising some underlings in the chase after the gremlin, turned at the little newcomer's words and regarded Terarr for a moment.

"Follow me, kid," he said, trundling back to a large-ish tent with a pitchfork over a golden gear emblazoned on it. There were several devilites inside, managers and not, and the nearest Pit Boss to the door shoved a piece of paper into Terrar's hands almost before he got inside.

"If you're not already doing something, be at the meeting ground in half a deci-cycle ((about an hour, I guess))," he ordered, pointing in the direction of a large, open area that looked as though several dozen creatures could assemble in it. "They're getting a crew together to go back to Moorcroft."

((Wow, nice picture Tevokkia! Hanaphs must really be happy with all that green. Just for that, I'm going to make an IC post! Also, I think that green devlite is called a Yesman. Or something. Unless he's special.))

"Oh, c'mon! What construct?" Hanaphs pleaded.
"You really are dull..." The devlite mocked. "See the frozen grimlin?"
"Yeah..."
"And see that differently-colored Mecha Knight?"
"Yes...."
"The Mecha Knight froze the Grimlin."
"Oh!" Hanaphs exclaimed, his yellow color of confusion changing to a green color of happyness. "I wan't looking." The devlite merely face-palmed. That is, if they had palms.
Hanaphs saw Rultaos leave his tent, but rather not bother him, so he would just sit and wait there, and continue to talk with his new-found friend.

((Thanks! I actually agree with you. The belly button is better.))

Terarr was waiting for an answer, and just when he was about to ask again, a green devilite told Terarr to follow him. They came to a big tent with a gear and... Pitchfork?!? Oh, well. As he was about to go in the tent, a Pit Boss gave him a paper, then said, "If you're not already doing something, be at the meeting ground in half a centi-cycle." "Okay," Answered Terarr. He then wondered towered where the Pit Boss had pointed him. As he walked, he opened the paper. It said, ((@'Tevokkia' I don't know what it says, so you'll have to tell me. :( ))

Last IC for the week

((This will probably be my last IC post for the week. Week after next week should be the schedule of my next IC post.Happy RPing until I get back :) ))

Rultaos

The lone Trojan sat inside of his tent as he wrote a letter to Captain Achilles. Rultaos hoped that Achilles would be able to assist him in getting inside Firestorm Citadel and gain the help of some of the warriors there. Yes, it was a small chance, but it would be worth the risk to have some extra swords when the assault began.

Writing wasn't easy with large hands, but he managed to scribble a legible note after a few milli-cycles:

-

Captain Achilles

I know that this is short notice, but I am in need of your assistance in something. I cannot write too much for fear that this letter will be intercepted. I need you to help me get inside Firestorm Citadel without alerting Vanaduke's army. I will speak to you in more detail when I am inside. Reply as soon as you can.

Rultaos, 16th Ember Phalanx

-

Rultaos wrote on the outside of the letter "For Captain Achilles' eyes only". Achilles was a very strict commander who would quickly lash out at any soldier who failed to obey a command; fear of his punishments would discourage the messengers from opening it prematurely.

When he had finished, he exited his tent and called for a Wolver to deliver the message. They were preferable because they couldn't speak, and traveled very quickly. After giving the Wolver orders to deliver it to Firestorm Citadel and not to return unless he had a reply from the captain, the Wolver barked in acknowledgement and left.

Rultaos then decided to find Hanapahs for his trip to the Citadel. He saw the Slag guard sitting on the grassy floor of the Vault and speaking with a Devilite. He approached the duo, intending to speak with the armored Slag walker. The Devilite noticed Rultaos and quickly saluted. "At ease" Rultaos said. He then turned to Hanaphs.

"I don't have time to waste, so I'll get to the point. I know that our introduction to each other was less than satisfactory, but I would like to let bygones be bygones ((Moorcroft expedition reference)); I might need your help with something. I'm planning to head back to Firestorm Citadel, and I could use a bodyguard if something goes wrong. From your background check, you're not very famous among the ranks of the Citadel forces and that would help make us less conspicuous. Just try not to change color too much.

If you're interested. Meet me at my tent in the next 24 centi-cycles. I'm still waiting for something before beginning my journey. I'll tell you more about what I'm planning to do on the way there. Dismissed" Rultaos said to Hanaphs. He didn't wait for a reply from the Slag guard as he needed to get some rest (his original break was interrupted) if he was planning to travel to Vanaduke's domain. He simply saluted and returned to his tent.

He estimated Achilles' reply by the next 24 deci-cycles ((the next day)) and decided that he would hibernate until the reply came, or until Hanaphs decides to show up.

He stood within his tent and once again became partially inanimate as his crystal's glow began to dwindle.

((I decided not to start a conversation with Hanaphs because, like I said, I'm going to be very busy this week))

Randomness is my essence

((ok, i got bored, so decided to make this completely worthless post, that contributes nothing to the RP))

Tickafir listened to the quiet "drip...drip...drip" and wondered what it could be. He didn't remember any moisture in these clockwork tunnels. Then he smelled it, something bad, something poison, something deadly. It smelled almost as bad as his cousin's waffles. Tickafir looked around, alarmed, and saw a toxic lichen watching him. He held up his wand, preparing to defend himself.

((ok Gasgar, your move now, either this is some random slime that is connected to you in no way at all, in which case it runs away, or it can be one of your minions and its your choice whether it attacks me or not. though im warning you, this wand does not deal pierce damage XD

and i have a suggestion for your army. you could be a kind of hive-mind, with one consciousness in many bodies, so what one lichen sees, they all see. just a suggestion))

Relief

Elias stared at the small devilite catiously, but it only peered up at him. "Now what? The gremlin is gone, and.. Oh, right! The boss said something about a 'manager's tent'! I wonder where that is," it murmured to itself. "Can anybody direct me to the manager's tent?"
Extremely relieved it hadnt mentioned his "recent past", Elias glanced around to maybe suggest a place for it to start looking. After a few moments, a Yesman signaled him over. "Thank goodness -.-," he sighed. "Really didnt want to get into... 'THAT' again." With the strange little guy gone, Elias decided to continue exploring. Med tents, residential huts... and... a giant jelly cube??? He decided to claim the large block as a figment of his ethereal visions... "I must not be fully awake yet 0.o"
At last he came across a repair tent. "AHA," he exclaimed as he barged right on in, "I feel right at home already!" a few gremlins were scattered around, hovering over fried circuitry. "Whoa, what happened here?" He paced over to 1 of the empty work benches, a few of the circuit boards strewn across it.
1 of the gremlins took notice of the deep blue enigma and, not out of fear, but curiosity, came over to monitored him in case he was up to something.
Elias reached around and snatched up a few of the tools, and out of his little side-pouch produced a jewelers lens, of all things, and settled in to inspect the chip carefully. ~Looks like a massive EMP went through here~ Moments later he was at his work, making meticulous welds and wire connections on the striped green surface. At length, he threw back his head in triumphant jubilee; his work was complete! The gremlins were all startled, for a phantoms laugh, even a joyful 1, isnt exactly pleasant. Elias whirled around to find the source of the terrored whimpers. ":/ Was it something i said?... anyway, which mech does this go to? Im guessing its 1 of the lumbers over there, considering its size and simplicity." The mechanics seemed to loosen up at the innocence in the specter's voice and pointed to a Redward at the far end.
As Elias connected the last of the wires into the back hatch, loud grinding and whirring stirred within the mech, and its sensors soon glowed to life. It balanced itself on its ram arm and took its time positioning itself upright to stand before them all. None of the gremlins had completed this same task, but the phantom had done it in just short of an hour; the creatures were intrigued by the mechanical ability of the blue auraed thing. "Who are you, anyway?" they asked.
Elias only then realized he was being watched. o_o' "Uuhh, no one, Im nobody, dont mind me heheheheh," he spluttered as he tripped backward over another of the work tables. ~Heheh, being dead doesnt exactly make my social skills any better either -.-'~ The Redward clunked over to Elias and gave him a light, appreciative jolt on the hand for reviving it. "Ah, no worries there, Tanks, just doin my job." 1 of the gremlins corrected him, claiming it was called Subject 13, or something. ~Aww, what kinda name is that.~ "Just between you and me, I think Ima just call you Tanks, k?" Elias may not have ever had any good people skills, but he always found talking to mechs was easy.
Now that he thought about it, dead or alive, it was still good to be back to the work he loved.

(asked tev about the fixing thing, so im guessing thats ok, but ima leave it to windsickle to adopt the new name fully or not, after all, he did say that subject 13 may just be a temporary name)

Conversations

Hanaphs nodded, still green, after Rultaos finished speaking and left.
"Wow, I'm going with him to the Citadel?" Hanaphs thought out loud.
"Seems so. But how are you going to stay the same color?" The Devlite asked.
"Easy. I've done it for awhile now. I hate everyone there, so I simply think of them and what they do to me, thus making me angry, keeping red!" The green Slag Guard explained.
"You change colors with your emotions?"
"Yeah! Here, let me show you." Hanaphs closed his eyes. His expression changed from an happy one to a rather enraged one. Slowly, His color changed from green to red, then back to green. "I don't like doing it outside of the Citadel, because I pretty much snap at anything."
"Well that's nice. Are you the only one who can do that?" The devlite asked.
"Yes. I started to happen after I was nearly 'killed' by a knight while trying to defend Lord Vanaduke. Back then, I was at a much higher ranking. Now, I'm below eight Slag Walkers." Hanaphs told the other.
"That's too bad."
"Yeah, but I'm over it. I can still throw with better accuracy than any of 'em." The two continued their pass-time conversation.

Clarification Post has become an IC post. A long one.

((The paper pretty much says when and where to be and has a short rundown of the mission ... but that pretty much consists of "The delegation will go to Moorcroft in order to request assistance on an upcoming project." The rest of the mission will be explained when the meeting begins (which is Za-Ck's show). A lot of players are waiting on another player's character to do something or this meeting to start, so just be patient while other pieces of the story get resolved and everyone gets into place.

Also, these aren't full color, sweetie. They're supposed to be a little monochrome, so I haven't been drawing everything in the color they're supposed to be.

To anyone else: is anyone else needing a rundown of what's going on so that they can proceed with their characters? I know some people have been unable to post because the forums are not working correctly for many, so please bear with everyone.

@Isis ... I had been waiting for you to reply, but since you're waiting on me, I guess I'll post. XD))

Bettit

Bettit laughed a little when it turned out that the "quiet spot" that Vakros had mentioned turned out to be the same patch of grass she had chosen for herself earlier in the day. "This is actually where I was sitting before Torx asked for me," she commented as she sat down, removing her hat and setting it atop her backpack. She looked around to make sure no one was nearby as Vakros chose a spot to sit, and when he had settled himself, she leaned forward a bit again, propping her elbows on her knees.

"Okay, I've never told anyone else about this before, and Torx only knew about it because he was there ... we don't even talk about it at home. So I'm probably not very good at telling the story," Bettit said before starting in. She exhaled heavily once, as though steeling herself, and paused for a moment to decide exactly where to start. The beginning seemed like a good enough place so she wouldn't have to go back and fill in the odd detail later. "When I was little, my parents and I lived in the Colony, and my Uncle Uret lived with us. Torx was a friend of his ... a good friend, it sounded like when he was telling me about it. I don't really remember Torx coming over, but I guess he looked different then." She scratched her head thoughtfully- she was sure she'd remember Torx's interesting markings if he had had them when he came to her home, very young or not.

"Anyway, one day, Uncle Uret came home with a box. He looked serious, which was unusual for him because he was a really happy guy. He and Patter locked themselves in Patter's work room for a long talk. They both looked serious when they came out ... and then Uncle said goodbye and left. Without the box."

Bettit fidgeted with her hands a little, staring down at them as she spoke that last bit. She didn't feel the need to mention how teary and sad that goodbye had actually been, or how confused she had been at the time. It was probably an unconscious reaction when she drew a trinket hanging on a cord around her neck from under her shirt and started fidgeting with it instead, as she didn't seem to notice. The thing was thumb-sized and yellow-gold, with a weak, faintly pulsing glow on one end. Anything else about it was difficult to see beneath the gremlin's nervous fingers.

"Patter packed us up and we left as soon as Uncle was gone, taking the box with us. Most of what I remember for awhile after that was that it was bad." Here she chose to leave out a lot of details. "I know that none of this sounds like much compared to what some people have been through, but for a little gremlinite, it's really scary when the adults you trust are frightened and unhappy, you've left the only home you've known forever, and one of the people you loved most was left behind." The younger gremlin looked up to meet Vakros' eyes once more, gauging his reaction with a sad smile before apparently noticing she was holding the trinket and letting it drop to rest against her chest. She had managed to start the story with only the facts as she had planned, but somewhere along the line it had felt so good to finally be able to tell it that other things began to sneak in as well. "We moved around Emberlight for a little while ... I guess Mitter and Patter were looking for a quiet, out-of-the-way place ... before settling in Stone Field Borough. Patter made a special compartment in our new home for the box, and Mitter built all sorts of traps to put on the compartment. After that, it was never mentioned again and life got pretty quiet. I always get the feeling they're waiting for something to happen, though."

"Then, today, I meet Torx," she continued. "He told me the story of how he was visiting Uncle in his lab when the Crimson Order showed up. I guess it was the day after we left. The rest of the researchers were murdered, and they took Uncle Uret away. He's ... probably long dead, now." Her voice wavered for an instant, then steadied. "Torx says that what's in that box is really important, though, and that's what we're going to Emberlight to get." She looked up at Vakros again, less sad this time, and smiled lopsidedly.

"I have to admit, though, I'm a little worried about that Phantom following us around and showing up in Stone Field," she added, her brow furrowed. She sounded more contemplative than upset. "... do you think he can? Or he would? I've never had anyone actively wanting to kill me before, so I'm not sure how much of what he said was just angry talk."

((YAYZ!!!))

Corpser looked around the Arcade as memories flashed into his mind. He shook them off, turned to Rez and the others. "Oh, I gotta go to Emberlight."
"Are you stupid? They won't let you through!"
Crap, Corpser thought. Stupid Warden!
"Oh, I've got some friends to meet there..."
"We're your only friends..."
He was failing.
"New friends... They're new friends."
"But you suck at making frien-"
"SHUT THE HELL UP!"
Rez jumped back at the sudden change in his friends voice. "Jeez, Mat, calm down. Okay, okay, go to Emberlight."
"Thank you."
Corpser/Mat started towards the lift and plotted a course to Gremlin Outcast City. "Bettit should be there...", He said to himself menacingly.
"Who's that?", Rez asked.
"Ugh..."

Don't mind if I cut in a bit

((Just a quick OOC post while I got some free time.

@Frostrex: You seem to be metagaming. I thought that the reason you possessed the knight was to infiltrate the Spiralians. That was also partly the reason I wanted a team of constructs sent to Haven. If you don't know the term "metagaming", it's rule #3. Although it's not too serious, it just seemed a little abrupt that Frostrex would change plans very quickly.

At least put in a solid reason for changing his mind other than remembering Bettit (He wouldn't need the possessed knight to hunt her down, he would be more effective in his Phantom form)

@Faronel: This isn't really a warning, but more of a suggestion. I would prefer if you put more detail into your IC post. Just putting dialogue and actions is kind of boring to read, at least for me. Describe the surroundings and the character's feelings (just look at everyone else's looong posts). This goes for everyone else who's been neglecting details when putting in IC *cough*FrostXplad*cough*.

Yay! IC for me! :)

Terarr finished the paper and continued sight seeing on the way to the meeting grounds. "The Pit Boss said it would start in an hour. I have no friends, nothing to entertain..." Terarr broke off as he remembered what the heavy thing on his back was. "Of course! Wile I wait, I'll make more traps with the stuff I got at moorcraft manor!" Terarr took off his sack and pulled the some of the contents out. "Yes, this will do just fine," He murmured to himself as he stuck a stick and a a piece of clothe together. So there he sat, waiting for the meeting to start.

Scharr

*Message recieved

--All units are to meat at the designated location in one hour.

Scharr was worried by the fact that all units were going to the same meeting. That meant something very big was going to go on, something you usually don't want mere minutes after you walk in. He decided that given the nature of their organization it was probably another combat mission; most of the other matters were decided by the upper ranking members behind closed tent-flaps. He hadn't actually fought anyone in a while, so he decided to head over to the combat training area and warm up his laser-beam.

There were various targets set up at distances ranging from ten feet to five-hundred, or so his laser distance readings told him, many of which were moving. Some of them had shields, some had small paintball guns that would fire back. He walked up to the director of the exercise and requested to have a round.

"Well, you see that big mark right there in the middle?" The pit boss pointed over to a red X on painted on the ground. Scharr nodded in reply. "You're gonna want to stand right there and only there; moving outside that spot will disqualify you. The targets will all be activated and you will have 60 seconds to disable them. This is primarily an exercise in minimizing collateral damage, understood? Come back here for your score when you are done."

Scharr stepped up to the X and saw the judges step behind a large, thick glass pane. Why would they possibly need glass that thick--

Before he could finish his thought, a paintball whizzed from somewhere in the field and struck him flat on the shoulder. It had much more fore than he had expected, not enough to do any damage, but it still fired his damage receptors. I suppose I will want to be avoiding those...

The next forty seconds where a blur of ducking, jumping, firing, cloaking, and various other combat mechanics to keep the enemies under control. Then, with fifteen seconds to go, he shot the last target. It was eerily silent compared to the cacophony of sound that had preceded. Too quiet...

Suddenly and without warning, thirty more targets sprung up and started firing, intermixed with friendlies. One of those friendlies was a knight.

Oh no...

*System override
--Spiralian detected
|course of action; eliminate at all costs

Scharr could not control it. He simply went berserk, and he felt the feeling of self control slipping away as his internal code kicked in. It activated his laser at max power, the charge sending wailing frequencies through the air. When it went off, the one judge foolish enough not to look down was blinded for several minutes.

Exhausted, Scharr fell to the ground amid a cloud of smoke, produced when his attack vaporized the grass around him.

"What in the Core's name was that, soldier!?" The director was obviously in a state of rage, yelling at everyone near him to start fixing the broken, smoking heap that had been the training exercise. "You could have killed someone -- or worse, killed me -- if you had been facing the wrong direction! You are going to regret that, regret it I tell you!" But Scharr was already walking away, back to the recharge tent. The irate, selfish little Pit Boss would stop caring in a few minutes and had no power to stop him anyway.

However, regardless of how calm and composed he appeared on the outside, internally Scharr was shaken to his center. He hadn't been subjected to that sort of situation since... well, it was horrible. He once again cursed the gremlins that made him, something that had become routine in his life. He needed to find a good Gremlin mechanic, and it had better be before he saw another knight.

Responce

Vakros was... shocked by the story. He really didn't quite know how to react. It most certainly hit home with him though. How his parents were... things certainly can be scary as a Gremlinite. He was just glad that she had her family to help her get to Emberlight.
Realising she was waiting on his responce, he opened his mouth, than closed it, still unsure whether he should comfort her, or... well he was just a bit confused. He decided to answer her question first.
"I've had a couple hundred people vowed to kill me before, and around ten who actually followed throughand tried." He glanced at his wrenchwand, which was used for many more things than healing. Those spikes could do damage, and he knew.
"Don't worry about this phantom, he'll forget soon enough, and if does go after you... glasses can make some great bombs." He gave her a large smile, and hoped she would return one.
"And uh-thanks Bettit, for telling that story, I know, well I know how it must of felt." He looked back at the wrench, and stared at the azure lines painted into the grooves, worn and faded with some notches cut out of them and with a rusting outline, but most definately still there. Even though almost everything else was changed when that that crystal...did whatever it did to him. It looked like they would always be there, no matter what else happened.
He would always have a bit of Azure on him no matter what.
((Azures are completely unrelated, so please don't let that confuse you guys! :D ))

That shocking, huh?

Bettit watched Vakros' reaction to her story ... he apparently didn't know what to say. That was okay with her, though; he obviously had other things on his mind. She couldn't help but wonder what they were, but if he felt like telling her at some point, he would.

"Don't worry about this phantom, he'll forget soon enough, and if does go after you... glasses can make some great bombs."

Bettit burst out laughing at the mender's comment, and gave him a lopsided grin when her giggles had subsided. "I hope you're right, 'cause I'm out of spectacles. Otherwise I'd be able to see past an arm's length."

When next Vakros spoke, Bettit's smile turned warmer and a bit more sober. "It was nice to have a friend to tell it to ..." she answered softly, trailing off. The mender's mind seemed to be elsewhere, and studying his face, Bettit could tell that 'elsewhere' was not a happy place. She reached over and put a hand on his, smiling up at him reassuringly; she didn't know what he was thinking, but he had showed her earlier in the day that it was good to have someone there when you were done thinking it.

Strange Mechanics

Elias and the other gremlins within the repair and recharge tent were steadily at work. Elias had shown a couple of the gremlins the basic means he had taken to revive the fried circuit boards, and they in turn, had shown the others. By this time, they were all hard at work repairing the dozens of chips destroyed by the EMP, some of which (the bots who were active at the time) were, unfortunately, irreversibly damaged.
A sudden flash of light came through the thin canvas of the tent, startling all its occupants, and sent some rushing out to investigate. Moments later, a seemingly drained retrode paced into the tent, but there was something... something off about this model. Its structure seemed more worn and old, yet heavier and more durable than any other. Even for its definite age, it appeared to be much more intact than most of its counterparts, like the volt and sleetrode he had already observed by now. The retrode paid him no heed while he looked on as the gremlins hooked him into a charging station.
He did not ask what had caused the flash, and did not associate it with the strange retrode until he overheard murmurings between the gremlins with his acute ethereal ears. He picked up things like 'a berserk frenzy' and 'overpowered energies', and from the moods he detected through his training from his recovery form, he could tell that all the gremlins who said these things had wary feelings toward the "new" mech.
As the bot deactivated, Elias decided to investigate. He only wished a peek, so he strolled over casually, opened the bots back compartment, and viewed its contents. The first thing he noticed was... pretty much everything... he had never seen a bot like this before, something about the circuitry was very different, yet he could not place it, and there were items wired in that he had never seen before. It had either been around much longer than the knights had been in Haven and it was obsolete, or this 1 was made for a much more specific task. He quickly resealed the hatch, as to not become tempted to tamper with something he did not understand. Something was different about this mech, and he could not help feeling that it could somehow be very dangerous.
He resolved to find a gremlin who had seen more in his days than these young mechanics and ask him of the strange structures, though he did not know any that fit the character yet, or even any gremlins, for that matter. It seemed only time would tell what the retrode really was.

Terarr finished his traps.

Terarr finished his traps. "Oh, no!" he cried, then he noticed that it never started. "It has been an hour, right?" He wondered. There was no way to tell what time it was in this place. In the devilite city that Terarr had lived, there was clocks everywhere, to help the devilites that had to work know when to end their brakes, when to start their brakes, and other things like that. But there was nothing like that here. Terarr sighed. He felt lonely here, with no friends. In fact, nobody seemed to even notice him. "I'm not THAT small, am I?" He asked himself. He looked around. Everybody seemed to know everybody else. Some where chatting, some where sitting together, some where... Terarr sighed again, much longer this time. "Is it because I'm a devilite? That they think I have no time?" He tried not to cry. Maybe he shouldn't have come. At home, not many really where his friends, but he knew if it was safe to trap them, here he didn't WANT to trap them. He wanted to have a good first impression. That must be it. Someone here knew him and told everybody not to have ANYTHING to do with him. Terarr felt a tear swelling up in his eye. He wiped it away before anybody saw him. He looked brave in case somebody did see him, that way, they would have to believe that they where just seeing things. He stood up, to make himself look bigger, then plopped down again. He moved over to a small bush and sat on it. He pulled the paper back out and read it over, and over, and over again to take his mind off his misery, but it didn't work. He put the paper back and sat, looking off into space ((Well, the ceiling)), thinking about the fun he had back at home. He was to sad to disguise it, though.

Here we go....

Name: Netlom.
Race: Ashtail.
Gender: Female.
Personality: Netlom, or Net as she is commonly called, is quite shy, tending to stay out of sight, and she doubts she'll ever become an Alpha. She doesn't like people to die, and avoids knights as much as possible. She is kind, disliking hostility on the part of either knights or monsters, and is easily scared.
Appearance: Even Net's colour is unusual, being a mix of gray and brown, namely brown on her back and on a strip of her underside, if anyone were to see it, and gray on her sides as well as on the rest of her underside. Her tail is neither of those colours, but black. The insides of her ears are dark red, and her eyes look like red-hot coals. (I guess all Ashtails' do anyway.) Her nose stands out from her almost black face, being bright orange. She wears a pair of Heavy Dragon Wings, which she claims look nice on her, although they don't allow her to fly.
Equipment: Net has a pair of relatively blunt claws, never used for fighting, and sharper teeth from a life of eating hard bushes. (She is vegetarian.) She hopes she could swat with her wings, but she hasn't tried yet.
Skills: Although she has never landed a blow on any foe in her life, she is quite good at dodging and burrowing, having practised in case she can can bring herself to fight. She is a faster enemy to fight than the other wolvers, because they have practised at speedy biting, and even the ones in Tier 3 are poor dodgers, resorting instead to burrowing. She practised dodging. Although she may never land a blow on another, I doubt anyone could do the same to her.
Biography: Net cannot remember much of her earlier life, her memory starting with the worst day in her life.
It was originally quite a good day. Net had learned how to attack. Her parents were rushing to tell the pack the good news when the Knights came in. Net noticed strange creatures, barked a warning, and hid as all young wolvers were taught to do until they were good fighters.
Net had never seen anything like it. The intruders slaughtered the pack. They were thinking only of getting the "loot" as they called it that the Ashtails had taken so long to hoard. Then they were gone, down a strange hard box.
Net, scared to death, fled to a pack close by who were strong allies with hers. Her parents had always told her that if anything happened to the pack, this one would take care of her.
As it happened, she had not even reached them before more intruders came after them. The ally pack was gone in minutes. And it was so suddenly that Net was found by these strange people.
They wanted to kill her, but one of them said - she was not sure how she could understand them - "We're near the lift anyway. I want some health. Let's go down."
So the knights left her. Luckily, she had been taught early on how to fend for herself, and since there was nothing to eat but the bushes and shrubs the knights had left, she developed a vegetarian diet. She noticed a pair of strange wings, looking as if they had been left by the Great Strong Dragon himself, and found she could fit them on. The knight who had saved her had left them behind so she kept them as a memento of her (the knight appeared to be female).
When Net heard of the Clockwork Renegades, she fell over herself to join.
Additional facts: Net is allergic to vines - all she can eat are bushes and shrubs.
Suggestions: None.
Seal of the Rebellion: T.C.R.

Sad story

((Wow, thats pretty coincidental, doncha think Tev, we see Remi ingame and suddenly he/she's on trying for the 'Gades.))
When Bettit reached out and rested her hand on his, Vakros was jolted out of bad memories. He looked up from his beloved wrench, and saw Bettit's toothy grin, and smiled back, with true warmth.
"Listen, speaking of stories... well I have something to tell you."
His face grew a bit more serious, more grim. "When I was really little, barely old enough to squeak, my parents disappeared. I'll never know what happened to them, but they were probably mugged and murdered in one of the shadier parts of the Colony. I never really knew them to be seerius. Anyways, I was sent to my uncle, who was part of this gang, the Azures. It started off REALLY bad... and well, I don't want to talk about it."
His face contorted in pain as memories resurfaced. "I got picked by the Order for some special mission, and was able to hightail it back to Haven from there. Worked with Vise for a bit. About a cycle later I found out that the Azure got crushed by the COs, and I really didn't care."
Suddenly his eyes lit up. "And Vise told me about the Renegades, and since then I've became one of the directors of Medical work here." There was a slight pause, and then he quick murmered. "They taught me to be ruthless Bettit, they told me that the weak didn't survive. I make it so that the weak DO survive."

I can't help laughing at the devilite.

((Yup. In discussion with the other mods on the new apps now, actually.))

"Listen, speaking of stories... well, I have something to tell you."

Bettit leaned forward a bit with her listening face on, her brow furrowing and her features taking on an expression of purest sympathy as Vakros related his tale. When he mentioned how bad things had been and how he didn't want to talk about that part, she scooted over to sit next to him and draped her arm over his shoulders in what she hoped was a comforting gesture.

As the mender finished his story, Bettit turned to hug him warmly- he seemed to need it. "I'm so sorry," she murmured. "You're a good guy. And ... thanks for telling me. It means a lot that you would trust me with that."

She pulled back a little to smile at him, hoping to cheer him up a bit, when one of the smaller devilites dashed into the grassy spot. It cleared its throat, looking a little embarrassed, although the young gremlin was at a loss as to why.

"Ahem ... hate to inturrupt, but there's a general meeting in the common area in a bit less than an hour," it said, then dashed off in a flustered sort of fashion. Bettit could see it stopping to inform someone else of the meeting: there seemed to be several of the little guys spreading the word.

"I guess we should go to that?" she asked, turning back to Vakros after having watched the messenger dart out of sight. "Our own mission was supposed to be quiet, so it couldn't be about that, could it?"

((Anyone can have one of the devilite messengers come and get them and/or the extras/npcs they're with. Xplad, I know Snarp still needs informed, and they can pop into the mechanic's tent to let Elias and the grems know, if you like, Treaman. I think most others either have already been informed, have other orders, or are Torx.))

Snarp was absorbing some grass when it was brought to attention by a flustered devilite.
"Excuse me," said the Devilite, "there's a general meeting in the common area in around an hour."
"All right," said Snarp as clearly a possible in the gurgling voice of a slime.
The Devilite proceeded to dash away, its little wings boosting it as much as possible.
"That little guy must be in a hurry," thought Snarp.
The quicksilver electrified itself and proceeded to speed to the common area, missing a tree by inches.

I can not come up with a subject. I tried. Just stuff.

Scharr

*Threat perceived
--cause; circuitry tampered
|target; phantom

Scharr stepped off the charging platform and strode towards the phantom, intent on making him pay for messing with his circuits. But he stopped a few paces away, realizing that he now among allies, not potential enemies. He had lived so long in isolation, where everyone might want to kill him, that he had nearly started to antagonize someone who might have no ill will towards him at all.

So he decided that he would go against the nature he had taught himself for so long.

"Hey you, the Phantom? Yeah. Please, don't ever mess with my internal circuitry again, that is, unless you are a certified upper level gremlin technician. Short of that... there's really nothing anyone can do for me. Oh, and there is a big meeting less than an hour, you should probably head over there soon."

Scharr walked away, ignoring whatever reply the Phantom was going to give. He had been as nice as he could take for the cycle -- it would take him a while to get reintegrated with other people.

Torx

((This is kind of just filler, because no one (including me) seems to know where he is at the moment. This probably won't have any direct impact on the story, but it will kind of give an explanation for where hes been.))

A short distance from the Renegade's Treasure Vault, there is a floor of the clockworks that has no apparent value. It is completely empty, except for a small floating island in the rough middle of the space. It contains the same foliage as the wolver dens do, but none of the wolvers. How exactly it came into existence is unknown to the Spiral Knights, but preliminary scans showed no loot on the island, so they never tried to explore it.

This made it perfect for Torx's purposes.

He sat on the edge, gazing out into the deep, rich blue of the spherical sky. The artificial sun beamed down from above, but it wasn't hot. It all seemed so real, so real that Torx could almost believe there weren't walls out there.

He came here often, as the complete silence and isolation allowed him to think in peace. At the moment, he was thinking about Uret.

For as austere he had tried to be in front of Bettit, he still felt a deep sorrow over Uret's fate. He often relived that day, when they came to take him away and kill all the witnesses. If they had come in just a moment later though...

The lab had been especially busy that day. Gremlin scientists, engineers, technicians, programmers, and researchers of all fields scurried to and fro, trying not to trample on too many feet as they did so. Uret and Torx were standing in the Historical Research wing, where gremlins searched though ancient texts, looking for clues to this or that. Fortunately, it was much quieter with everyone reading.

"Torx, really, just take it! I don't know why you won't believe me."

"Because your theory is ridiculous. It is based on a book that is only partially complete, and the complete chapters of which are considered apocryphal by even the most fanatical ones in here. Why is it that you are so interested in this Key? What is so important about it?"

"Look... We have been through this already, several times in fact. I have proof that the book is legitimate, the others are just stuck in their traditions. This, its the key to the our salvation! Without it, we are doomed to become like the Almirians and the Luminites... lost empires with only undead or even merely stories to remember them by! Do you want that to happen to the Colony, Torx? C'mon, just hold it for a second. Then you will understand."

Torx was about to reluctantly take it from him, when the wall burst in and the Crimson Order started to attack everyone. When they saw Uret, they rushed over and grabbed him, dragging him out. A split second before he was out of sight, he yelled, "Torx! Find the other box, it's with little Bet!"

His reminiscing was interrupted by a very slight whisper in the back of his mind. He knew from experience that this was a sign of the Void acting up in him, but he was at his most peace, why now? Did the memory of Uret's abduction bother him that much? No, it had never caused this before, so what was it?

And then he understood.

"Well, if it isn't old Torx! Still resisting I see. Ever so foolish, I tell you."

Torx cursed himself silently before replying. "Deleoban, what an absolute pleasure it is to see you. It hasn't replaced you yet, I see?" He knew the only way out of this was to be confident and commanding.

"I see you still hate us as ever. How quaint, how random, that a single day can ruin a lifetime. You were so close, Torx, so close. But no, you just HAD to be at the lab that day, and you just HAD to begrudge us for that. Such promise, why, you could had all the fame and glory you wanted!"

Torx knew to act unfazed by this, although he was quite angered. "Fame? Glory? All you bloodthirsty monsters want is to slaughter and assimilate. You are a curse to the Gremlin name, the bane of life itself."

"Must I remind you, that you yourself are not entirely untouched by this 'curse'?"

Torx stood up and spun to face him. "Why are you here, Deleoban? Did it send you to kill me? If so, be done with it. I can no longer fight. Are you simply wanting to mock me? Mock me because you were always one step better than me? Because I could never best you in a fight? I looked up to you. You were the reason I trained so hard, studied so hard, worked my furry little fingers off, even though you had not a good fiber in your being. But I didn't know that. You almost cost me my existence. Instead, you only cost me half of it. Do you know how painful it is, to have half of your self torn away, ripped from your very consciousness? Unbearable. For months I wished I was dead. But I held on, knowing that I had to stop you and the Void, before it was too late."

A little surprised at his own tirade, Torx stood back in submission of his fate, be it death or otherwise.

"Quite to the contrary, I am not here to kill you at all. No, I am here to deliver a message that if you act against us, there are much worse things than death." At this, Deleoban reached up and put his finger on Torx's forehead. The Void part of him jumped suddenly, advancing another half-inch across his body.

A searing, flaming agony ripped through Torx as another shred of his mind was drawn into the Void's clutches. He fell to the ground, screaming in pain like he never had before.

"Let that serve as a warning." Deleoban slipped into the shadows, leaving Torx sobbing and moaning on the grass.

((I suppose that ended up being more than filler, huh?))

Rundown for Windsickle

((Okay, what's happened since your last post:

*Elias finally got to wake up, and ended up in the mech tent, fixing Subject 13 and helping the gremlin techs fix whatever other constructs were able to be repaired after the gremlin traitor set off the EMP, or whatever that was. He has personally dubbed 13 "Tanks." (#410, since it's the post that concerns your char most) Your character wasn't expressly moved from the tent, so I am assuming he was present when Scharr delivered the message that there was to be a general meeting.

*Fridge got his instructions that the massive assault was a no-go and to send a bunch of people on diplomatic missions to Moorcroft, Emberlight, and Haven in order to get some help for the diversion project and has made plans to speak to the sources of his conflicting orders. NPC Dagren was introduced - the gremlin Fridge accidentaly fried on page 1 or 2 - in order to have a mechanic on staff for the Haven mission.

*Rultaos made plans to head for the Firestorm Citadel on his own mission, and informed Hanaphs that he was to go, too. Once Rultaos returned to his hibernation to wait for his reply for the Citadel, Hanaphs gossiped with a devilite.

*Scharr did some practicing before the meeting, which ended badly when Knights were used in the training exercise, and ended up in the mechanic's tent to recharge. He did not appreciate Elias peeking into his circuitry.

*Terarr bumped around a bit before getting orders to hit the meeting ground, where he made some traps for later use. Meanwhile, Bettit and Vakros told each other sad stories, which ended up looking awkward in front of a devilite messenger, and Snarp finally found out about the meeting.

*Outside the Treasure Vault, Tickafir has observed toxic lichens where perhaps there ought to be none, and Corpser (still possessing the Knight) has decided to go to Emberlight. Torx has been reminiscing on another island in the post directly above you.

I think that's everyone? No action from Gasgar in that time, or the Defiler, obviously.))

(( also edited my story: Typed up and ready, but i might use "guy" even though the gals a girl: Tear reporting :D

Name: Unknown but you call her tear.
Race: A type of vog, but instead of fire, shock
Gender: girl
Personality: always a bit shy, but if you become a friend I end up talking to long. Loyal to the limits. Doesn’t over estimate herself, but is quite strong when enraged. Mischievous a bit
Appearance: White and sleek, but still a vog. The bolt of fire is now electricity. Small-crystallized tears of electricity can be found in his fur.
Equipment: Shocking retractable claws (again, like the fang of vog, but electric). And a kind of Trojan blast (Trojan blast: attack up and shocks players to close) but with more chance of shock, and speed up instead.
Skills: Agile, quick thinking guy.
Biography: (I don’t know any of this:) Was a normal vog until he had an accident with a large pack of Volt-tails. His fur went white, and his fire was extinguished but replaced with a bolt of lightning accidentally by the alphas. He was then fostered by some gremlins, in-till he found out all they wanted to do was clone him and experiment on him. He heard the word chimera every now and then. He ran away, practically ruining the lab he smashed so many things, but now he’s heard that the chimera has been made.
Additional facts: tend to find out the unpleasant truth e.g. why my parents abandoned me. Sometimes eats unstable jelly cores, rock cores and ‘Zee cores’ where he can find them. When he eats an unstable core, he can blow a big Smokey cloud, like a smoke bomb.

Yukon Ho!

As the two Gremlins stepped back to the main cluster of tents where the meeting was to take place, Vakros lifted his paw to scratch at this head, and noticed something.
"Give me a second..." He said, backing up a pace. "I left something back at that clearing. I'll grab and come right back, okay?"
Without waiting for her reply, he dashed off in the opposite direction, his hopes propelling his feet.
After a few leaping bounds he caught sight of a water trough. It wasn't exactly what had came to mind, but it was better than nothing.
He peered in beaming with joy, and saw that he was in fact correct about his assumption. Through all his grey fur, a few brown hairs poked their way out, gleaming in the sunlight. His fur was changing back to brown!
It was bittersweet really... what if that was his only distinctive trait? What if he wasn't of any importance if they disappeared? What if he would be forgotten without them?
He then glanced at his wand. The crystal was looking as evil as ever. It looked as though that stupid wrench had two memories stuck in it now...
Vakros nearly smiled at the thought.

Let's get this started...

Fridge walked to the central tent in the treasure vault. It was the place where the highest ranking members of the Renegades met and planned. If anywhere, Torx and Rultaos should be somewhere in the area. He entered the tent and took a look around. There were various Renegades running here and there, various species carrying messages or transporting supplies. However, Fridge did not see any sign of either of the Renegades he had wanted to talk to.

"Is there a problem little one?" a gentle voice asked him

In surprise, Fridge turned around, and found himself faceplate-to-face with the one who had started it all: Takun himself. The tall stranger seemed amused at the mecha knight's reaction, and let out a soft chuckle.
"No need to be frightened." He said in a calming tone. "Now... is there something you wanted?"

Fridge was a bit humbled to be in front of their leader himself, but he mustered up his courage and began to talk.
"I am searching for either Rultaos or Torx. Please, are either of them here?" Fridge stated in his artificial voice.

Takun reached up a long robed arm and scratched his chin in thought.
"I have not seen Torx in a while. Rultaos is currently occupied with his own matters and will soon depart for the Firestorm Citadel with that Slag Guard... Hanaphs it was I believe."

Fridge sagged a bit in disappointment. It looked like he wouldn't be receiving any clarification on his orders anytime soon. Takun noticed this and came up with a small suggestion.
"I was going to announce this myself, but how about you do the honors?" From within his robes, he retrieved a scroll. "Within this are the mission details me and Rultaos agreed upon. I am confident you can give the rest of the Renegades their assignments."

Fridge was a bit at a loss for words to be honest. Staring at the list he had been given, he wondered if he was truly up to the task. However, he did not want to disappoint Takun, and accepted the scroll.
"Very good. I'll now be taking my leave, good luck with your mission!" Takun called over his shoulder as he shuffled away deeper into the tent somewhere.

---000---

Fridge arrived at the Renegades meeting spot. Already many of the Renegades were gathered, and were waiting around for the announcements they had been summoned for. A few looked curiously at the strange Cryo Knight as he stepped up to the podium that had been set-up and began to quiet down. Fridge opened the scroll, and set his voice synthesizer to a louder volume setting.

"Attention all Renegades!" He started.
"A new set of missions have been decided upon, and we have selected the Renegades to accomplish them.

First off, Commander Rultaos and the Slag Guard Hanaphs will be leaving to the Firestorm Citadel on a private mission and will thus be unavailable for a while.

Next, we have a recon team, who will observe and keep track of and observe the happenings at the Gremlin Grand Palace. For this, the Phantom Elias and the Quicksilver Snarps have been chosen, although more members may be accepted if they volunteer.

After that, there are diplomatic missions to both Moorcroft and Emberlight to attempt to recruit more allies. A volunteer Devilite is needed ((Ebilbuny, this is your cue!)), and will be accompanied by both the Konjuring Kat when he recovers, alongside the attendant Mialii ((This is Tevokkia's NPC))
To Emberlight, the Gremlins Vakros and Bettit have been selected.

Finally, on a mission to Haven itself, the constructs "Fridge" (Hey, that's me! Fridge noted), the Lumber known as "Test Subject 13" and Scharr have been selected, and will be accompanied by the Gremlin mechanic Dagren and a representative of the Spiral Order. If any of those selected have issues with these commands, please visit the main tent to tell your complaint."

Fridge closed the scroll and looked at the crowd expectantly.

---Meanwhile---

"My life sucks." groaned Dagren, head between his hands as he heard his mission assignment.

((Alright, there is the mission plan so far, if any of you have questions, don't hesitate to ask!))

So ... much ... stuff ....

Bettit (and Vakros, too!)

"Okay," Bettit answered, he reply going unheard as Vakros dashed off in the other direction. Squinting after the other gremlin and losing sight of him fairly quickly between her poor vision and the other creatures going to and fro, she scooted up against the side of a tent to wait until he returned. Nothing on Cradle would ever make her like crowds, and she wasn't about to continue into the one she expected at the meeting without her only friend here.

It didn't take long for the mender to return, and Bettit was happy to note that he looked much better than he had when they had left the little clearing they had been telling stories in. "Find what you were looking for?" she asked, and smiled at his nod of affirmation.

The meeting ground was full of creatures, but not so much that it was too difficult to maneuver, and the two gremlins found a spot to listen fairly quickly. Bettit squinted hard at the creature who took the podium; it wasn't Rultaos, as she would have expected, but seemed to be a ... construct, of some sort?

"Heh, it's Fridge," Vakros commented. He was an ususual choice for heading up a meeting. Bettit just shrugged; she wasn't sure who Fridge was.

The construct made his announcements ... which left the two gremlins scratching their heads.

"What exactly are we supposed to be doing on this mission?" Bettit leaned over to ask Vakros in a loud whisper. "Or is this a cover for our other mission? Does Torx know about this?"

"I have no idea," Vakros answered her; he was as much at a loss as she was. "Let's go see if Fridge has a briefing for us or something."

Bettit followed in the mender's wake as they wound their way to the podium where Fridge was still standing. She figured she would let him doing the talking, especially since he seemed to know the construct in question.

"Hey Fridge," Vakros said by way of greeting when they reached the podium. "Got any briefings for us?"

Mialii

Mialii hovered at Konjuring Kat's bedside, checking his ecto levels every so often and puzzling over what in the world he had done to put himself out for so long. She had been assigned to tend him until he was fit to return to Moorcroft, as most living physicians really didn't know what to do with spookats.

The tent flap opened and the spookat nurse turned to see who it was. One of the small devilites peeped its head in, and Mialii recognized him as Perritt, a fairly cheerful (for a devilite) little worker who often brought messages to this part of the camp.

"You're wanted on a mission," he told her. "To accompany Kat here on a diplomatic trip to Moorcroft when he wakes up."

"Oh!" Mialii mewed. "Thank you for letting me know. Now we just need to see when he'll decide to wake." She pondered a moment. "Were there any other details?" she asked in her ghostly purr.

"Nope," Perritt answered. "I guess they'll let you know when he wakes." And with that, he was gone.

Meanwhile, in Spiral HQ

The Spiral Warden who had been assigned to dealing with the Clockwork Renegades, as they called themselves, tapped his pen thoughtfully on his desk as he read the missive from the stranger Takun for the third time. It was a request for a Spiralian knight to act as representative accompaniment for a few constructs and a gremlin mechanic so that they would have entry to Haven in order to perform some sort of diplomatic mission. The details of this mission weren't given, but he assumed he would find out when they got there.

After some thought, he had a knight named Brastley summoned. The young man was a stolid, friendly sort, who was slow to anger and tended to mull things over before he spoke. Though he was in the engineering corps, he was also an experienced Clockworks delver and could take care of himself if the need arose.

"You asked for me, Sir?" Brastley asked with a salute when he arrived. The Warden indicated for him to sit, and he did so.

"I have a mission for you that may turn out to be of utmost importance," the Warden began. "I know you're among the small group who is aware of an organization called the Clockwork Renegades, and that you know that the existence and actions of this organization are to remain a secret."

"Yes sir," Brastley confirmed when his superior paused.

"Excellent. You are to meet a small envoy consisting of constructs and a gremlin mechanic in the Terminal outlined in this form." Here the Warden pushed a piece of paper across the table, which Brastley took. "At the time stated. They will pose as new bodyguards which you reprogrammed while in the Clockworks, and you will bring them back here so they may deliver a diplomatic message. Understood."

"Yes, sir." Brastley saluted again and was excused. He read the briefing he had been given several times over as he walked slowly and thoughtfully back to his bunk to prepare. This was going to be interesting.

And the obligatory OOC

((Haha, Za-Ck ... I forgot that the knights I mentioned were sorta' busy at the moment, considering the story they're in takes place at the same time as what we're doing now. So I made up someone new.

Go ahead and just either shoo the grems off to Takun for details or hand them a brief and I'll figure out what's in it if you want. We'll probably want to write them up for those groups who don't either have an NPC or a mod player character going along, though. I think this primarily applies to the recon team.

Necroterra: since you're handling a lot of the gremlin storyline, do you want to narrate what the recon team sees when they're spying on the Grand Palace?))

Snarp strained to process

Snarp strained to process what the Cryo Knight was saying. Not expecting much, Snarp was brought to attention upon hearing its name. It appeared that it was part of a reconnaissance mission along with a Phantom by the name of Elias. This would be interesting. Snarp decided the best thing to do would be to find this phantom it was grouped with and discuss a plan, as well as keep on the watch for any other creature that volunteered for the team. With the potential to do great harm to each other, Snarp hoped this alliance worked out well. Whoever thought up the assignments was obviously banking on the Phantom's ability to become nearly invisible and the quicksilver's ability to...well... get away fast, the quicksilver supposed? Snarp realized that a single stray spark could blow their cover and probably get them killed. The quicksilver resolved to stay in polyp form so as to not be affected by shock based hazards, as polyps strangely weren't affected by their natural element.
((So Tev, will we be invited to a briefing or just be told our objective and whatnot?))

I .... have no idea what I'm doing.

((We're actually sorta' stumbling along and making this up as we go, actually, Xplad. These missions were Azure's idea and he didn't leave a lot of details. XD I had figured there would be written mission briefings, so either you or Elias will have to go retrieve them, I suppose. I'll work on getting it written up for you guys, since you're the only group running without an NPC or mod character at the moment. Or I'll create an additional character to send along, one or the other.))

The Mission

Terarr looked around when he was done "Daydreaming"(More like remembering), and saw that the meeting was about to start. "I hope I'm recruited for something!" He thought urgently, "Oh, how I want to DO something!" Then a construct walked up to the "pulpit" (Or whatever it is). "Oh, no!" He cried, "It's the construct I bumped into earlier!" The construct went through the things that need to be done. "I think I'll sign up for the recon." He said to himself. The construct went on, telling about a mission to Moorcraft and Emberlight. "I KNOW I'm not going to Emberlight. Not my thing." The construct told the audience of the people recruited for those missions "...A volunteer Devilite is needed..." the construct said. "Oh, I'm going to Moorcraft! This is going to be so fun!" aloud he said, "I'll go there!" but nobody heard him. "Oh well, I'll volunteer after the meeting." When the meeting was over, Terarr went to the construct. "May I volunteer for going to Moorcraft?" he asked him.

UPDATE!

((Managed to squeeze in some free time, so let me give out some of the formal reports of the missions, just to get some weight off of the mods. You guys can choose on how the heck you find them :) ))

Grand palace recon

A team of Renegades is to be sent to the capital of the Grand Colony. The mission is to observe and gather intelligence on what we will be facing in the assault. Search for weapons, enemy positions, enemy types, and the best point of entry for the attack. If you can, try to confirm the locations of the Crimson Order members and palace patrols. We want to maintain the element of surprise; they must not know of the attack until it has already begun.

Above all else, be invisible. Avoid detection by the Gremlin forces at all costs. If any single member of the team is spotted and engaged, all of you have orders to retreat.

Gather as much information about the enemy as you can (you may remain for as long as you wish) and then return to Renegade Vault. Avoid detection and do not engage the enemy unless you have to.

Moorcroft ambassador

A diplomatic team of Renegades along with a small escort will be sent to Moorcroft Manor to enlist the assistance of as many undead forces as possible. Scour the Manor for any possible allies and speak with the Manor Spirit if you can find him. However, Moorcroft Manor poses dangers as well.

Trapped Phantoms and master-less undead roam its winding corridors, attacking any unwelcome visitor that comes their way. Be cautious. It will be the escort unit's duty to maintain the safety of the diplomats. The diplomats' duty is too search for and recruit as many possible allies for the attack.

Stay within the Manor Spirit's good graces and the mission should proceed with minor obstacles.

Emberlight emissary

A small unit of Gremlins will travel to the city of outcasts to recruit the assistance of any able-bodied Gremlin for the attack. The diplomatic team will enter the city, posing as regular citizens. Cover must be maintained at all times, do not do anything to divulge the Renegades' actions.

Search for possible recruits and organize them for the upcoming attack. Make sure that each Gremlin that is enlisted will maintain the secrecy of the Renegades. Once they are prepared, they may either remain in Emberlight until mobilized for the assault, or brought to the Treasure Vault.

The team must be composed of Gremlins only, any other creature besides Silkwings will give away our intentions.

Haven messenger

A group of constructs accompanied by a Gremlin mechanic will travel to Haven posing as personal bodyguards of a Knight to be sent by the Spiral-Order. Their mission is to reach the Spiral-Order HQ and speak with commander Ozlo. One of the Constructs will be outfitted with a special, hologram transmitter that will allow Takun to converse with him about the attack on the Grand Palace.

This mission is to ensure that any communication between the Renegades and the Spiral-Order will not be intercepted by enemy spies. Act your roles well and suspicion among the Knights will not be aroused. Our existence must remain a secret from them.

((I didn't include the Citadel mission because only Rultaos and Hanaphs will be part of it and therefore, the Renegades need not know about it. Might as well put in some IC while I'm here...))

Captain Achilles

Achilles watched as a Dark Trojan sparred with two Deadnaughts in the training ring. The Dreadnoughts charged at the stone warrior, the Trojan raised his shield and pushed the two adversaries back. One of them was smashed against the wall and took time to regain his balance. The other slowly circled the Trojan, searching for an opening where he could stab his spear.

The Dark Trojan kept up its guard, his shield constantly aimed at the Deadnaught. The 2 foes glared at each other for a few tense microcycles. The other Deadnaught had recovered from the initial attack and had charged from behind the Dark Trojan, trying to hit it in its weak point. The Trojan anticipated his enemy and spun counter-clockwise, hitting his enemy at the chestplate and knocking it farther back. The first Deadnaught attempted to use the temporary distraction his ally had caused and charged at the Trojan with its lance. The Dark Trojan sidesteps and sends his enemy charging at his teammate who was still trying to stand up. The two collide and are knocked out.

The Dark Trojan raises his sword in victory as the recruits and veterans watching the fight cheered.

Meanwhile, a Slag-guard approaches Captain Achilles and said "Sir! We have a message here for you. The messenger refuses to leave until you reply." Achilles looked over the message that said that only he should see it. He nods at the Slag-guard and says "I will write the reply in my quarters, wait here.". "Yes sir!" The Slag-guard replied.

Achilles entered his private quarters and opens the message. He recognizes the handwriting before reading [Ah, Rultaos. Looks like you need my help again. I wonder how that young one's been doing ever since he left our ranks...] Achilles thought to himself. He read through the message and then began to write his reply

-

Rultaos

I have read your message and yes, I will help you get inside the Citadel. You will pose as a Trojan named Crydios, leader of the 28th Ember Phalanx. They are supposed to all be K.I.A. when they defended the Scarlet Fortress. When you reach the gates of the Citadel, introduce yourself to the guards as survivors (if you plan on bringing someone along). Tell them that you wish to speak with me, they will call me, and I will get you inside. I wish to know the reason behind your visit as soon as possible. Safe journey.

Achilles, 11th Inferno Legion

-

He folded the message and returned outside to the waiting Slag-guard. This time, a couple of tier 1 Trojans were having a sword-fight inside the training ring. "Give this to the messenger. No one is to read the contents of the message. Understood?" Achilles said. "Yes captain." The Slag-guard replied. He took the message and returned to the gates of the Firestorm Citadel to give the message to the Wolver that was waiting patiently outside.

((Still kinda busy. Hopefully I can post within the next couple of days, not counting on it though :/ ))
