Told you. - Dusk.

Chapter 6

Samantha's view

Dusk got up and pushed the Alpha wolver off him. It was dead. He ran for the elevator where we were at. Before he got to us, the third wolver pounced on him.
"I think it's down!" I said. "No wait!' Winnip yelled. I pushed the down button and the elevator descended.

Dusk disappeared and we saw dirt and rock as we went deeper into the place. The elevator stopped and we got out. What I saw didn't look like a Haven. It was dusty, and it was just a giant cave. But, it did look like someone lived here. There was a desk with papers, and a bed. There was water dripping from somewhere. I stepped off the elevator. I looked at Winnip and saw he looked scared.
"This place is creepy." he said. "Let's see if there's a way back up." We pushed the up button on the elevator.
"So Haven was up?" I said.
He scowled. "Duh." The elevator wasn't working and he kept stabbing the button. "We'll have to find another way out."
We walked through the labyrinth of tunnels carrying, and sometimes dragging Blue. Winnip hurried me along looking terrified at the thought of bat-like creatures.

We reached a dead end. "Blast..." I muttered. Winnip walked over to a big bush. Behind it, there was an elevator. "Great!!! Good eye!" I said. We walked onto the elevator. Suddenly, a high-pitched scream echoed through the tunnel. I heard footsteps coming towards the elevator and lots of growling. I saw Dusk appear. I smiled until I saw a pack of wolvers behind him. We pushed the 'up' on the elevator. "Hurry Dusk!" I yelled. he grabbed onto the edge of the elevator just as it lifted on the ground.

It was going at a fast speed and it was a miracle Dusk found the strength to hang on. He grabbed the rail, and then his other hand searched for something else to hang onto. He grabbed Blue's limp arm. She lay on the floor of the elevator. He let go of the railing, only holding onto Blue.
Huge mistake.
He fell a few feet, and stopped as Blue smashed into the railing. She moaned in pain, and tried to crawl away. When she did that, her body slid in between the railing and started to fall with Dusk. Winnip and I grabbed her and tried to pull her up. We managed to lift them a few inches when I saw that we were almost at the surface. here was a hole that light streamed through, and it was only large enough for the elevator. "If they were still down there when we reached it they will be crushed!" I thought.

It was no use. We couldn't lift them up. "So much for my new friends." I thought.

Dusk

I saw the light and my fate if I didn't get up there. I summoned all my strength and climbed up. I reached the floor of the elevator. I panted for a little while, recovering. I saw Winnip and Samantha pull Blue up in time. The light blinded me for a moment, and I had to cover my eyes. When I opened them I saw a knight carry Blue off to some buildings. Another knight came up to us and said,

"Welcome to Haven."

No choices this time.

Chapter 7:

2 weeks later

"Hurry up!" the knight said. "I'm going as fast as I can!" Dusk whispered. After spending a few more seconds trying to break the lock, the other knight shoved him aside, and was able to pick the lock.
The door creaked open, and made a thud as it hit the wall. The knight walked into the fortress with Dusk gawking at the lock now resting on the floor. He ran after the knight who was now against the wall looking at the giant balcony above the main building.
It was very dark out, and the only thing Dusk heard was the wind and his own footsteps. Dusk reached the wall, and took out a gun that was in a pack. This gun was a few feet long. It's bullet's were fast and accurate, but more effective at a non-moving target. He looked into the scope and found his target. On the balcony was a formation of dark coloured gremlins. In the middle of the bunch was a gremlin that looked fierce. Obviously the leader. He went into the main building while the guards took places along the balcony. Dusk had a gremlin in sight. He aimed at it's nech and.....

Zing!

It hit it's target in the neck. The gremlin fell of the balcony and hit the ground with a sickening crunch. the ground force of Gremlins started yelling and took the gremlin's body inside to look at it.
The balcony's gremlins were distracted. "Heres our chance" Dusk thought. They ran to a building close to the main tower. They opened the door, and made a loud creak. Dusk grimaced. He waited for the gremlins to come and for this all to be over.
No one came.
He opened the door all the way. Inside there were a few gremlins looking at computer monitors. The two tiptoed past with no one looking up. They went up the spiral staircase and opened a door that was about three fourths up the tower they were in. They walked onto the balcony's edge and jumped off.
They landed on another balcony attached to the main tower.
"Thanks for being my partner for this mission Matt" Dusk said. The knight looked conflicted. "It's 'Enigma'. And it was my pleasure." They shook hands and ran up another staircase.
When they reached the top of the staircase, the gremlin officer spotted them. "Sound the alarm!" he yelled. An alarm blared. It had a strange resemblance to a snipe coughing up it's dinner. Footsteps pounded up the stairs. We followed the gremlin officer out onto the balcony where the other gremlins were.

Minutes later we crumpled to the floor with gremlins circling us. One of them slashed it's sword at us. At the last second Dusk got up and the connecting swords made a clang. The impact made the gremlin stumble back and fall off. The officer slashed his back making a huge gash. He snarled and made the final blow.
"Well done!" A voice said. "You died...... But well done! Very good for only two knights."
Dusk opened his eyes and saw another knight standing behind him. The knight helped Dusk and Enigma up.
Over the last two weeks Dusk and the others were welcomed into Haven and told about what all the things they knew about the planet. Almost immediantly Dusk wanted to sharpen his skills at a high tech training hall. It was there that he met Enigma. He just failed on 'Gremlin fortress'.
The gremlins were fake, robots. But as much fun as they were having, Dusk wondered about Blue. She was in a hospital and was in terrible condition. Would she make it?

Chapter 8

Dusk and Enigma left the training hall. Outside, the glare from the sun blinded them for a few seconds. It was warm outside, and the town square bustling with activity. A few knights were selling some equipment from the auction house. Some snipes were crawling on a knight in wolver armor. After talking to a stranger Blue walked to him. Kind of. She was in some kind of... cast? Anyway she 'limped' over.
Dusk learned that Blue's injury was easy enough to fix. The docters had something to help her, but some of her armor was still damaged.
The all heard a familiar voice. "Dusk! Blue!"
A knight ran up to them. At first, Dusk didn't recognize him, but then he saw the emblem.
"Angelo!"
They ran to greet him. "where have you been?" Dusk said. "I landed in a pod with several other knights, then eventually we found our way here."

We told him what has happened to us. "Wow..." Angelo said. Another knight came up to us smiling. For a few moments, no one reacted. Then, I finally noticed. "You!" I yelled. it was the fourth member. I almost cried. Angelo and Pelma were thought to be dead, but they both were alive!
Winnip and Samantha came waving. We introduced everyone. After a few minutes of being happy meeting each other. "Guys......" Blue said. We turned to her. "What Blue?" Dusk said.
"I just realized we would make a great guild." tHEY ALL THOUGHT that that was a great idea. "But first......." Angelo said. He gave more of the trinkets we had. Enigma and Winnip both wore it on their armor, and samamtha put it on her sword. We all smiled.
