Tini, would you mind if I changed your Knight's name to Samson, gave him a lot of hair, and a red headband? Everything else will remain the same, though.
[FANFIC] Intentions. The content isn't that mature. I have enough characters >< (any more will be minor one sceners)
@Arctifice Sure! Antoon's just my gamername, I couldn't come up with a better one.
Wait a minute. My eyes aren't gonna be gouged out, are they? I'm rather fond of them.
I will never allow this thread to die! NEVER!
I had been enjoying reading intentions, it's a nice seasoning for Cradle :D
Name: Vin
Loadout: Snarbolax Coat, Grey Feather Cowl, Barbarous Thorn Blade, Secondary N/A
Personality: A murderer in Knight's armor who specializes in quick, painless, and efficient deaths. He has an amiable aura around him, always making good conversation with others. However, in missions, he rips off this mask and retrogresses into a cold, calculated strategist. He dislikes unnecessary brutality, and thus condemns certain weapons deemed "brutish" and "crude" in his eyes (particularly the Magnus and Troika lines). Although he does literally enjoy the art of war, he is wary and calculative, unlike most people of the same cloth.
Bio: He was originally part of the clearing squads when storming Firestorm Citadel, and went on with Desna's Rangers for more missions for "the thrill of the kill". He was born on Isora, and was a stowaway on-board the Skylark. There, the soldiers managed to raise him until adolescence, which at that point he became independent. He liked to discuss about strategies in war, which was initially queer for a young age, but was then praised by his peers for it. When the ship crashed into Cradle, he was among the earliest to exit from his capsule, and helped established the Rescue Camp. From there, he crossed the Chasm, etc. It wasn't until he had visited his first Shadow Lair did he suddenly cease socialization, and then withdrew from normal interactions entirely. He could only be contacted via appointments or private messaging. Some claim he had become obsessed with his own Machiavellian mind, others claimed he was scarred while travelling through the Unknown Passage. However, the incident has only become the subject of rumors after a month or two.
Notable differences to the average militant: Some of his squadmates contemplate on his uncanny inability to die. Slashes, swipes, and shots seem to pass harmlessly through air, and hits that do land seem to do little to no damage to him. He is also noted for his impossibly fast acrobatics that allow him to run on 70+ degrees surfaces for over 10 metres, vault over gates, hang on cliffs, etc. He is also known to possess an ancient text titled "The Prince" by an author of a now-deceased nationality.
@Vin I like how it reads out
I've been putting this on a bit of a hiatus as I trytrytry in my Lit class. I might work on it next week in between doing my research paper.
Yup, this is just me writing crap compared to your works. Oh well...

Two figures faced each other in a room. One was a girl in Cobalt, her right arm eviscerated into ribbons. The other was a man clad in grey shadows, his complexion masked by a hood. His rapier was still hanging in his belt, no blood was dripping from its slim, scarlet, point.
"Mother of Vog, the Enforcers overdid it today, huh?" the man spoke, obviously amused. He chuckled, and then squatted down to her eye level.
The girl was silent. Her ultramarine eyes dulled to a near-grey.
"You know, I am absolutely disgusted by the way these officers work now. Nothing but brutes that aim and fire on instinct. Not even the Interrogators have as much precision and civility as I. They lug those putrid excuses for guns around, just waiting for the day to off another random delinquent. But I? No, I make my business simple. I don't need to mutilate. I can extract every last bit of information without shedding a single drop of blood. Now, I know I seem very prideful, but it is true. We both know that."
The only response he received was the quite breaths of the girl. Her glazed eyes stared through him, into some subconscious utopia, no doubt. The man sighed, and procured a pill seemingly from the shadows themselves. He pushed it gently into her mouth with his thumb. She swallowed on instinct. Her arm, formerly a pile of flesh, miraculously regenerated. Her eyes brightened up a bit, and her breathing hinted a little more vitality.
"We're both here for a reason. I'm supposed to pull some crap out of your head, but I already know everything."
"E-everything?" the girl, barely audible, inquired.
"Charged for high treason, wanted as armed and dangerous. Obviously some idiot tried to frame you. They weren't very clean with it."
"B-but h-how did you know?" she replied.
"Can't hear you. Need water?"
The girl nodded, and so the man procured a canteen. She drunk from it like a beast, and only when she had finished the whole container did she stop.
"So you were saying?"
"How did you know?"
"I instigated this."
The girl scoffed at this. Surely, she thought, he must be lying. He wouldn't say that in front of the feed, would he?
"You doubt it. I would understand. And your doubt is true, to an extent. I was planning a con a Knight I didn't like. He should've been better off in a mental ward. His loud mouth would've been put to use there. Anyhow, you're pretty much free to go. I have no use for you anymore," the man said, opening the door.
She scoffed again, shocked by the recent turn of events. She was immediately escorted out of the station.
"Alright, now for office 2E-A, home of Enforcer Ruben. Already have all my evidence," the man chided to himself. He put on a devilish grin as he walked through the halls. Five floors up, sixteen feet forward, eight feet left, and the door was in view. The man rapped the door with three hard punches.
"Who is it?!" a muffle voice replied, obviously pissed off to hell.
"You are to be taken into custody for assaulting a civilian," the man replied smoothly and seriously.
"The fu(complete with two letters)?! That's bull!"
"I already have the warrant~" the man taunted, standing away from the doorway. They both knew he was lying.
The door was blown off its hinges by a massive slug the size of a fist. Clicking noises could be heard as the man inside reloaded.
"Warning, shots fired. Enforcer Ruben has gone rogue and is holed up in his office. Inquisitor Vin is already on scene. Proceed with extreme prejudice and shoot on sight," the man reported into his mic. He grinned and pulled out his thin blade.
"I'm going to blow you to hell, freak!" the man inside shouted. Grunts of frustration could be heard inside as the man tried to talk into his comm unit, but to no avail.
Already stole the batteries, Vin thought. He popped out and flung a storm of thorns at the Enforcer, who had already kicked his desk over for cover. Ruben returned with two slugs in the general direction of the door. This continued for two minutes, until another Enforcer arrived in the hallway. This one was armed with a Callahan, the Old Glory of all shotgun rain.
"Damn! This is already the fourth one this year!" the Enforcer outside grunted as he let loose a slug, breaking off a massive chunk of the desk.
"Don't shoot! He's lying!" Ruben cried out. However, his return fire contradicted his words.
One witness is all I need, Vin muttered under his breath. He swerved into the room, and ran towards the desk. Ruben heard the thuds and peeked up, only to be quickly impaled through the chest.
"No," Ruben uttered, before collapsing.
"We have to weed out the chaff from the real Enforcers," the Callahan wielder said, observing the sight. Thorns had practically embedded the whole room, save the area that the desk had covered. The door was nothing more than broken chunks of wood, and the door way itself was mottled with gaping bullet holes. Vin nodded at this, and faked a grimace before sheathing his blade again.
~~~
Wondering what just happened? In this short, Vin is an Inquisitor in the Order, meaning that he specializes in interrogation. As the context stated, he is known for not killing the prisoner before receiving any answer. As there are only a few Inquisitors, he holds very high power. He harbors a secret agenda against the Enforcers, among others in the Order, and frequently creates a crime that only his targets can be accused of. He then uses his own power to gain clearance to kill them. What a jerk, ain't he?
I could create tens of different personas that are all Vin, it's just which one I like the most. :L
NOTE: This isn't really Vin, just an alternate him if he was for a villainous role.
Oh my god.
Intentions is back.
Oh my god.
Anyway artifice , if you are gonna re-include my old app into intentions 2.0 ( pretty please :>) I'd like to make some changes to him.
Name: Tardas
Appearance: Costume :Cool Cresent Helm with frosty glasses and cool com unit attached, Justifier jacket
Actual Armor: Deadshot set, a storm and umbra driver (Named Ivory and Ebony)
Bio: Descended from a long line of famous swordsmen, Tardas decided to stray away from his family tradition and become a gunslinger.Due to his choice, he had a rather rocky relationship with his parents, and ran away from home at Age 15. Tardas was surprisingly proficient at gunning from a young age, and Daxen, the best gunslinger of the spiral order, took him in as a disciple. He quickly became known for his unrivaled skill at dual wielding guns, and become one of the youngest vanguards in the spiral order. Tardas is currently a Commander of a elite squad of gunners, taking on missions in which other squads have failed in.
Personality : Due to how he was bought up ,Tardas is a rather quiet knight, he is cold and calculating, and can seem unfriendly to strangers. He believes in honorable fighting, and would never ever use dirty tactics to win a fight. He is also rather protective of his guns, and would beat the living daylights out of anyone who dares to touch his treasured alchemers, whether accidental or not. He can be rather sensitive about his relationship with his parents, and would often completely ignore any questions asked about his family.
Edit: More details on my character : Tardas's body is lightweight and very flexible. He uses his body to aid him in close-quarters-combat, sliding and somersaulting his way to victory.
Glab to see Trabias back on forums :P
I was imagining Vin to be a completely different character than the one you depicted, but he's still good nonetheless.
When I mean completely different, I meant:
-A complete gentleman and sportsman. More, tidy with his language.
-In battle, he just charges forward like a battering ram. Whatever is in his path is, well, kinda missing a vital organ somewhere.
but that ^ is just my rendition of him. ^-^
Work's been slow as I focus on Lit, but since my workload is decreasing I'll get back on it. Sorry for the delays, everyone.
Can you at least say when you update? It's a pain in the butt to rev this again and again every now and then.
Somewhat updated. Finishing current chapter at the moment.
Finished chapter 10, starting 11 mostly to break the dullness of exposition with some action.
I'm writing this again. Sorry for the hiatus, school got to me. There's no ETA on completion, I'm writing this out as long as I feel like it.
If there is gonna be any violent, gritty story, this one automatically puts EVERY OTHER STORY LIKE IT TO SHAME.
@Vinny
Agreed.
/e weeps and manically laughs to shame in a corner :3 T^T :D:D:D:D:D:D
Something dark is ahead.
Brace yerselfs.
(I don't consider this as spoiler anymore. I'm being a ho, that's why.)
Also, yes. Check back if ye haven't.
Just so everyone (by everyone, I mean my dedicated readers) knows, I've been adding stuff to this story, for you few dedicated readers out there.
Not to cull readership or anything, but I write most prolifically when I know I have readers out there. also, using steam account, yay.
Then you'll start a vicious cycle. If you stop writing, we might beg for a while, but eventually give up. We'll gladly jump on any new story, but won't speak about it until then. Meantime, you're waiting for comments from your eager readers, and failing to see them, won't throw them a bone.
Kinda get my drift? Poke the waters a little, let us know when you've written something and see how many readers you've caught on your line.
I'm one of them. ^_^
I'm not intentionally trying to cull readership-my last hiatus was brought on by Warframe, and I added in a little afterwards post-sprite update to see who would notice. I'm honestly pretty unpredictable with when I start and stop my writing, which is probably the main reason I have very few readers-but I seem to write sufficiently enough to have devoted fans.
Sorry for this all, life and my OCD tends to interfere with my work.
You guys get to choose which ult skills Isaac gets.
Here's the raw brainstorm data from his skills. Vote and see what gets in.
Skill 1: Crush
Uses telekinetic forces to rip apart and crush enemies.
Upgrade 1: Cripple-Slows enemies down that survive, attacks and movement. Gives him widespread arcane markings.
Upgrade 2: Armor crush: Reduces defense. Gives him biker-esque tattoos.
Skill 2: Mind Attack
Sends a burst of electricity that affects the nervous systems of organic enemies and the autonomy processors of robotic enemies, causing them to attack each other.
Upgrade 1: Dark Infusion: Infuses an enemy with dark energy, causing it to swell in size and become monstrously powerful. Robots will overclock and attack far faster before exploding. Gives Isaac a mohawk (foo!).
Upgrade 2: Chaos: AoE Mind Attack. Gives Isaac spiky hair.
Skill 3: Meteor
Tears open a dimensional portal and throws a huge rock at the enemy.
Upgrade 1: Disruptive Meteor: Surviving enemies are suspended in stasis. Sufficiently fat enemies are stunned. Isaac gets rectangular glasses (nerd!).
Upgrade 2: Meteor shower: Blankets an area in meteorites, causing heavy sustained damage. Isaac gets pimpin round shades (boss!).
note to self: vinny 1/2/2
Skill 2 makes him the most lethal, as mental combat is a rarely touched aspect on Cradle. This makes him dangerous to both ally and enemy when it gets into Upgrade 2, as he might not identify the right people as enemies...
Thus making the best plots changes with it.
Thanks for the feedback. You get to pick one for each skill. I'll be working on it tomorrow-bit worn out today.
Love that Warframe reference you made there. They're overpowered, IMO XD
Name: Markus Vandeer
Appearance: Out of his armor, he is a man of a thin build, and a sickly skin tone to match. His red eyes are the effects of a botched implant, but they work on par with most soldiers. He likes to keep his chin-length hair down. Compare his height and weight to that of Arkus.
While in armor, he dons exclusively his Almirian Crusader Armor, neglecting the role of any helm entirely. A Crest of Almire serves as his shield, while a Cold Iron Vanquisher is his number one weapon. He additionally keeps a heavier Triglav for breaking obstructions, not for combat (unless the obstruction is a Tortodrone's shell, or a Trojan's shield, or a Dreadnaught's shield).
Bio: Markus was a simple boy under the notion that the Order was his life. His addiction wasn't caused by anything, really. He had a family, siblings, pets, friends, and so forth. However, he showed an extreme interest in the Knights, and he practiced daily for entering the Order by physical conditioning. However, it got so the point where he neglected his schooling, and he eventually dropped out. However, his ridiculous amount of time of physical conditioning paid off, and he was accepted as a Recruit at the young age of 12. From then on, his body just grew and grew. It became to the point where the food on Cradle could not sustain the proper nutrients his body required, and so his skin developed discoloration, and he soon became blind. A generous old veteran, who was conveniently dying at the time, donated her eyes to him. However, as the surgery was done, the surgeon accidentally damaged the irises of the eyeball. Markus had to wait a bit longer for the eyes to go under repair, but he got them.
While the many heroes of Haven are usually seen as brave, handsome denizens of the Order, Markus is the opposite in terms of appearance. His lack of the understanding of fear makes him an unreasonably reckless warrior, but he does his job the best. In squads, he would usually take point, and his peers urge each other to avoid staying on the front lines with him. Even in impossible odds, his brutality and speed in such heavy armor gives a bit of shock to most enemies. While being an absolute tank on the front lines, he doesn't function as part of a team. Rather, he treats his teammates as fellow tools to serve the Order all the better. While tools can be preserved to last longer, they break eventually. Markus himself, as he mused to a comrade once, is no exception.
Outside of combat, he binges on whatever luxuries he can afford, which are practically infinite, given the amount of missions he clears. When interrupted while atrophying, he subjugates said offender for the next mission, and casts them out the second they're done. He has no formal education, and can barely even read himself. Despite this, he learns his ways around the rest of society.
Personality: He's a fearless, unpredictable man of many faces. He slightly changes his personality every day, from being a grave, caring individual, to a near-maniacal, spontaneous madman. This wax and wane cycle completes in the duration of a week, and repeats itself infinitely. However, two ideas that remain consistent around him :
1. The Order is his absolute master. He knows no other.
2. Money isn't a thing to be saved; spend it until you're dead.
As for an app;
Name: Disgaea
Appearance:
Outside Armor = He has a normal person's build, gray/almost clear eyes, and looks like he's in his twenties. He has white standing-upright hair.
Inside Armor = He wears a Chaos Hood(accessorized by a Maedate and Game Eyes with a moustache) and its respectful mantle, while having with him a Grey Owlite Shield. He uses various types of weapons, but favors using Storm, Cryo and Nova Drivers and a pair of Scissor Blades.
[See Personality first.]
Personality:
A quiet and intelligent loner with little friends. He does have his bright moments, taking responsibility and such into actions, but he seldom gets these timings. Also unlucky, yet he's actually humble, nice and proud, despite his bad luck.
Bio:
As he was a loner, he takes refuge in Moorcroft Manor, where he learned about knights being able to use magic and arcane(I might've been redundant) forces, and he got to using magic for himself. He got into the Order of his own hard work, and was assigned to do some investigating & research with the two respectable kats of the Manor, Pembrooke and Montague, on the different events that happen in the mansion. He joyously accepted the offer, as he used to listen to Montague's tales and Pembrooke's news each of his younger days.
Arrived in the Manor, he quickly approached Montague, and asked him some questions, but Montague suspiciously declined, and suggested Disgaea approach Konjuring Kat. The Kat only meowed, and Disgaea picked up the book on the floor, pages sprawled around. He collected some, and showed it to the Kat. The Kat suddenly disappeared, and Margrel replaced the kat. Dual wielding his two Drivers of Nova and Storm, he defeated Margrel, who transformed into a somewhat recolor of the Seraphynx. It was black and carried around the same, yet twisted skills of its inverse.
So Disgaea thought of keeping the kat, and it now reminds him that he's not the only unlucky person, or kat, but Margel, as he named it, stayed with him, both of them joyous, but also despair when unlucky things break out.
Skills(Margrel):(Note, all of these unluckily tire Margrel for some time, probably around 1.5 minutes...?)
*Chaos Ray(Twisted Disintegration Ray)
*Unlucky Death(Twisted Violent Heart Attack) - Fills monsters with cholesterol and by killing them, you gain 3 med hearts, or 2 Tier 2 Pills.
*Chaos Aura(Twisted Valkyrian Aura) - All enemies who touch these get 10 second curse.
If it's alright, can I use Blue from "Redemption"? If not, I can change the character's past and all to someone else.
You can use Blue-I can't remember if she was killed off or not, we need internal consistency. But yeah, I don't mind recycled characters, but I'm a bit overloaded right now-trying to brainstorm a way to give Charl's squad a bigger role.
Mercurial sets should behave like quicksilvers. It'd be hilarious to see a whole mercurial party go spastastic from the electricity.
Daisuke's ninja-style plus Quicksilver behaviour causes a stack of swiftness, and fatality to 'everyone' who he passes through, plus berserk.
Here we go. College is currently doing a 'bout against our writer here, so read the old sequel in your spare time. Shows how many improvements he made.
I have a really big feeling that my character from page 2 wont have a major role :(
I've to admit, both of us got our stuffs like school and college doing so as stated by him.
The best way for the story might be waiting till near winter(and dragons tend to hibernate during cold days, left on the loose of the frigid ones), we talked about characters of their perspective characteristics a month ago, and hopefully ye guys can wait until he's quite the mood to progress.
On the other side, Warframe consumed us playing time too, that's maybe our new liking for games, bahaha.
Also, here's two concepts naming under as Intentions: The Mercenaries, for the time being in pencil sketches(I don't own tablets), will be concept art of characters in this fanfic, upon my volunteering. I've made this 2-1 month(s) ago, so if ye follow the tags on Tumblr ye might see these on it.
Character: Evara
Character: Kroko Wanekane
author note: i cannot guarantee every part of the character will be included in concept art, apologizes in advance if a character is not portrayed.
author note2: progressive novice artist, hopefully ye don't mind messy and mistakes('m eyeing on the hands q.q)
More to come after I finished sitting my major exams, determinations, determinations! (may get itchy on certain times)
Again, another example to follow. Discontinued (temporarily?), but serves as a good model.
Can't wait to see those little fluffballs of destruction get added into the story. When they are... eventually... added in. At least we know we'll get them in less than 6 months. :P
