Hello everyone! Red here, announcing yet another fashion contest- this time hosted by the bloggers of SK (& Tersakoff): Now Trending. In light of both the pitfalls and successes of the fashion contests of the past, we hope this'll be the best one yet.
This time we're hoping there will be no need to leave your guilds so don't shoot off any mails in the direction of your GMs! Due to the missions the arcade has pretty much....died... providing a nice clear space for us to work the competition.

Prelims: 2:00-2:15pm PST
Contest Cont.: 2:15-(however long it takes, hopefully not long)

After much thought and consideration on what would be a good date and time we were forced to go with exactly one week from now. We're sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, but plans got a little too sketchy close to the end of the month.
Preliminary Rounds: The prelims will be held in the Haven 15 bazaar by the little garden and two blue Strangers, Kragen and Greive. Try not to be late to the prelims, but even if you arrive a little bit behind the rest it's ok.
Competition Cont.: Those who pass through the preliminary rounds will proceed to the opposite end of the arcade from the bazaar entrance/exit (you know, the space where nothing much goes on? See the informative pics in The Rundown to see the location...)

The Rundown: Rules & an Explanation of Procedure
Alright, all of the judges agree that we'd like to have an orderly and well organized competition and we'd like to think we could host this event without posting rules and such. However, people, without a doubt, aren't telepathic (try telling my parents that though x. x) and have the attention span of a gnat. & what do people do when they're bored? They start to get rowdy. This makes things difficult. So! Without further delay, The Rules:

~ Don't be rowdy, as in, typing as many letters as you can into your chat and then filling up the logs. We need to be able to communicate with contestants and with each other. A little chatter is fine, total chat chaos is not. If you do face mash your keyboard you will be insta-disqualified.
~ Don't be disappointed if you don't make it through prelims or win your category and start yelling and spreading hate. We're pretty much all here to have a good time. The thing to keep in mind is that it isn't all just about what we think as judges- fashion is in the eye of the beholder.
~ The contest is based on creativity. You may come in whatever you like, just bear in mind you may not make it through to the next round. Expensive accessories are not guaranteed a win in the least.
~ Be respectful and listen if we're giving you directions. It's not that hard, believe me.
~ Only one costume per contestant please :)
~ Weapons and Shields are not taken into account during judging unless you tell us, however if you think your costume looks better in the non-streched weaponless position or without a shield, then by all means take them off.
"I think you present yourself as you look best. So, if your weapon and shield match, keep them on, and if they don't, take them off. We would be jerks to penalize you for not having costume weapons and shield, but if they add to the look, that's cool, too :D"

~ If you don't think you can make it to the real competition, due to work or other commitments, we've decided to insert a new category: submissions. This effort is to be commandeered mainly by Tersakoff. If you are interested in participating in this way, please scroll down to Tersakoff's post below this.

That's really all we ask of you guys :) Anyway, this is how we'd like the competition to run:

- I will be coordinating the prelims with Tersakoff (aka. Mr. Hard-to-Please) & it's important that you listen to us. We'll be standing with our backs to the little pool in the Bazaar garden. Hopefuls will come up to us in groups of 4. Those who pass the prelims will leave straight away to the arcade to wait with the two other judges who can answer any questions about the next part of the competition and help put you into a category.
Continuing Competiton

- There will be 5 categories, courtesy of Tersakoff:
1)Cute: Something that would make you go d'awww, that you'd expect to see buried in squealing snipes.
2)Scary: Something that you'd be afraid to see in the middle of the night in a long hallway, that you'd expect to see in a Graveyard or Candlestick Keep.
3)Badass: Something that yells "Don't mess with me.", that you'd expect to see riding a motorcycle trough flaming lions.
4)Beautiful: Something delicate, peaceful and eye-pleasing, yet powerful, that you'd expect to see helping Bechamel or posing for fancy painters.
5)General: For those people who just don't fit anywhere else.
- While waiting for your category please wait to the right of the judges square (I marked it in the photo).
- There will be one winner per category.
- We also have a surprise we'll be revealing on the day of the competition so even if you don't win, don't leave till it's all over! ;D

Scoring: Marks

Final score is the collective sum of the judges numbers divided by the number of judges.
Basically, an average.
