Hmmm?

I'm not entirely sure what you're saying, so forgive me if I'm answering the wrong question. First, prose is, in it's simplest definition, writing that isn't poetry, so anything in the fiction categories would count as prose. If you want to break your story into chapters, by all means do so ... especially if you're entering in the novella category. I mean, if you're doing mini fiction, it's unlikely you'll NEED to due to the length (or lack thereof) of stories in that category, but there's nothing wrong with doing it anyway.

If you're referring to wasting your own time, I apologize if I've answered unnecessarily. If you're referring to wasting mine, don't worry; I'm happy to answer any questions or make any clarifications.

@Mightmare: You actually have a little over three months from now to finish. You can certainly submit a WIP, but unfortunately, it would have to be up for public viewing.

ENTRY: Rhyming Poetry

In-Game Name: Artistbma
Entry Title: First Steps
Entry:

I step off my pod,
then look all around.
Ash and dirt litter the ground.

I get a transmition,
calling for me,
its Rhendon, wondering where I could be.

He tells me to go to a special place,
a camp where I can be very safe.

I walk along an earthen path,
fending off the jelly’s wrath.

My sword slashes through their hide,
Cutting them up, a chromalisk cried.

I turn around, and meet the creature.
Head to head, I see its features.

I jab my blade into its belly,
But oh no! Here comes the jelly!

I take out my gun,
And start shooting it a ton.

I back away with every shot,
For die this day I will not.

I run past most of the monsters,
And jump over the rest,
Because today,
I’m the best.

I hurry into the rescue camp,
My toes smacking the ground with a tamp.

Im safe for now,
Those monsters will never hurt thou.

It's actually mentioned in post #2 with the entry form ... but you can enter up to three times, no more than once per category.

So if you were just drawing, you could do an entry in the gremlins category, the everything else category, and the Tev and Friends category, but not two entries in the knight category and one in the everything else category.

EDIT: I added it to the rules so it would be easier for people to find. I guess it's easy to skip over since three or four people have asked me so far.

Whatever you think would make the better entry, really. You have almost three months to wrap up ends and edit if you so choose, so there's no real rush, but you don't want to get so carried away that you make your story over-complicated or miss the deadline.

Entry Title: All He Needs Is Love

Entry:
Beneath some fallen leaves;
On the Wolver dens floor,
Lies a Snipe; silent.
Flying no more...
His once flawless beauty
Of his purple feathers,
Are now torn away,
By the slimes and awful wolvers,
His beak is bent and broken;
He can barely sing,
The modest & kind heart he once had,
Is now beginning to die.
No knights looks up to this Snipe anymore.
He is just another fallen object,
Lying on the Wolver dens floor...
The little Snipe, as he dies,
Looks up at the blue skies,
And no knight even stops to cry,
Or to feel any emotions inside,
As his heart beats its last song,
No knight wonders if they have done wrong.
As it was, the Snipe just needed love;
Love, all along.
But there was no one there,
To mend his broken wings,
There was no one there,
To listen to the song he would sing.
The knights were too busy,
And too controlled by crystal energy,
To care at all about nursing a Snipe,
Back to proper health.
They could not feel emotions,
To the broken, sad, and lonely;
And spot a little Snipe,
Lying there,
On the forest floor,
They could not kneel down,
And carry him in their palm.
They could not heal him,
And make his frigid heart calm.
But there was some-knight,
Up in the sky,
He watched sadly,
As the little Snipe slowly died,
His hand reached down,
From the hole in the sky,
It carried the Snipe

Hey Tev, I was wondering how much CE do we get from the scavenger hunt? Because due to timezones, it ends on Friday. I'm not allowed to be online for more than 5 min (pathetic) on weekdays. So I want to know if it's worth the trouble scanning the forums.
Oh, also working on a story and sketch for my poem :P. Since I use pencil and since I have NO experience AT ALL in Digital Art, Photoshop or anything related to that. My sketches turn out to be very weak when I scan them. Will that "help" me lose interest in my sketches?

Hey Tev, I have seen many pieces of Spiral-Art done by you and I was wondering if you could give me some guides to things like Digital Art (if thats the way you created your artwork) As I mentioned earlier, I was making a drawing to go with my poem. But since ALL of my art is done in pencil, it doesn't stand out too clearly when I scan/ take photos. So if you could help me with that it would be wonderful. AND since its you who helped me (if you do) I won't put it in the competition. (I'll put in the one I did with pencil:P)
I know that this isn't the most appropriate place to put this (its like putting a penguin in a living room -_-), so if you wanna talk about it over spiral or someting else just tell me and I'll delete this

Prizes for any of the mini-games or weekly contests is 100 CE. This particular scavenger hunt will likely take you more than 5 minutes, so you might want to skip it, but next week's game is one you can save and work on offline.

I'd be happy to help you with some resources for digital art; since I'm not actually physically helping you (probably just giving you tutorials, suggesting programs, or telling you how to do a technique) or critiquing a specific piece of art, you can still enter it (that goes for anyone). If you want me to critique a piece of art and suggest improvements to it specifically, then that piece wouldn't be allowed in the contest. So what kind of art programs do you have on your computer? I'm assuming just MS Paint, if you don't really work digitally. Also, you're using a mouse rather than a pen, correct?
