There are almost no suggestions that have a GM mark on the thread that are decent compared to all the decent suggestion threads. What do I mean by decent? Oh, I don't know...threads that aren't copies of balancing a single gear horribly, marrige, dual wielding, unoriginal "new" weapons that would either be OP or crap if implimented to SK, iwantdiskthxbai, and joke threads and are covered by threads like the ones mentioned above? What threads are decent? Some include this ( http://forums.spiralknights.com/en/node/51858), this ( http://forums.spiralknights.com/en/node/53120), and this ( http://forums.spiralknights.com/en/node/68467). Did the GMs give 2¢ about the actual purpose of those threads? No! Should they have? It would have taken time off their day, but yes.

What I am saying here is that if you choose to create a topic in Suggestions expect the idea to be Graveyarded, even bumping the thread and adding tons of pages almost always won't make your threads more noticed by the GMs, but the players will always be reading the posts and will be attracted to larger threads.

Honestly I believe the point

Honestly I believe the point of suggestions is just so people think OOO is listening to them, and just for fun and discussing what might be good in such a game, more of a communal practise than that of them pinching ideas to use in the actual game

They don't need to respond to every little suggestion added. They DO read all most if not all threads in the suggestion forum. Just because I don't post in a thread doesn't mean I didn't read it. The same goes for just about everyone, ESPECIALLY the admins. They don't want to interfere with threads by posting their input because then the thread would have a bias to what the admin said.
If I made a thread on new personal colors and an admin said that they were thinking about adding "special effect" colors then the thread would turn into a special person effect thread. the power in the input of the authority on forums is too strong to be used in opinion based matters like suggestions.

Yeah, the point of suggestions is to make fun of people that are suggesting things for the game.

And sometimes the developers read things here too.

Fehzor is my (second?) favorite troll.

Even the (sometimes) TROLL gets it.

It's not like nobody listens...

There have been a number of ideas that have graduated from the suggestions forums to become parts of the game! A couple that come to mind are the 5* form of the Troika and the Advanced Training Hall. Both were announced after a flare of requests from the players, though that was during the early days of Spiral Knights.

Every couple of months a suggestion from the forums is added into the game. Sometimes they're big, in the case of the Abilities system, "Pets", Guildhalls and difficulty system, and sometimes they are small: adding the ability to pre-fill out someone's name with mailing, having a text command for inviting and joining, spectating lockdown.

It seems to me that every

It seems to me that every time an administrator responds to a thread, this receives prestigious too much, because "Oh! An administrator responded that thread! Let's see what he said and what's in it!", but sometimes it's just an administrator trying to create order in the discussion or asking to transfer the thread to another subforum. But really, when it comes to Nick answering threads about Dual Wielding, Spears or new content, for example, is totally different. Because of this, maybe it would be a good idea if admins indicate the considered suggestions somehow. Thus we would perceive ideas which interest them without the need for administrators reply to threads and these end up getting a lot of attention.

Whetever they listen or not, even without this subforum some people would still like to share their ideas somewhere else, like in general discussion.

So this section was created to keep things tidy. Nothing else.

dual wield is not considered, unless a new class of weapons is made, and even then it would be hard to balance.
spear weapons is considered, but for now re just ideas.
there are one of the few things nick said about suggestions.

GMs are moderators. They

GMs are moderators. They don't care about suggestions, their purpose is just to meet their daily ban quota.

Some suggestions get accepted. Example would be the autogun reload being changed. Initially, you couldn't move while reloading it the same way you couldn't move while firing, but people suggested making its reload like all the other guns, and viola. Not to mention pets, but that was suggested in a much less graceful manner...

I'm actually kinda glad the devs don't implement anything that gets posted in Suggestions. They're either terrible or demanding a nerf for a weapon they don't like.

"Have a suggestion for Spiral Knights? We would like to hear it."

I'm sure you guys would.

And I'm glad to see that I am not alone.

IMO

The point of the Suggestions is to create an idea, and try to convince other people to start spamming the forum to get that idea into the game.

At least RotMG isn't a democracy.
