My most memorable moment? Probably figuring out that Spiral Knights has a CE market, and that Jelly King has a comparably-high crown yield to the rest of the missions. It made me so happy to know that I could get the cool stuff and be F2P at the same time.

I eventually did get full 3* via use of only the Jelly King. I had NO clue what FSC was. I'd bet you can't do that today because of the CE inflation, and as such, I pity the Knights at the position I was previously, getting ready to quit the game because they won't fork out the cash. Well, actually, you probably can, it would just take longer as you'd have only 20 energy of profit rather than 20.5 energy.

Thank goodness I didn't choose my best sword before that, the Spur, to upgrade: I'd have a REALLY difficult time making it to the champion rank due to the lack of the 5* upgrade (THREE RINGS?!?!?!) if I hadn't learned about the Seerus pack going on sale. Instead, I chose the Iceburst Brandish. I might upgrade my Spur sometime though, as it's fun to mess around with.

And now, I have the Seerus pack (taking advantage of the $3 sale), a Gigawatt Pulsar, and a Wise Owlite Shield. I've gotten all the recipes for the Vog Cub set and a Glacius via the Firestorm Citadel.

And dang, it would really be a memory if I fledged a full 5* set and became a Vanguard before the update.

My most memorable moment ? I remember the first level(the actual first mission and not tutorial, the isle mission with the wolvers) and how i liked it. After playing it, and doing some more missions, i did the level again and enjoyed it very much. And i like that it's one of the last levels of the current arcade gates.

Deoxys: i remember that when you got back into the game and i had to explain the new features(the new hud changed a lot). I would've made it to vanguard or to 5* without the broken ce market, but at least the update will fix some things.

My most memorable moment would have to be when I was about to give up on the game. It was after this last anniversary, when people started going inactive again. I was usually the only person on in my guild, and I had only one piece of 5 star gear. I realized that, as a free to play player, it would take longer than I was willing to wait to become the rank of vanguard. I decided that I would cash all of my stuff in and donate it to the BN guild my alt was in.

I had been holding on to an anniversary prize box for awhile-- I was planning on opening it months after the anniversary. I decided that I may as well cash that in, too. So, I went to Haven 1 and popped it open. Lo and behold was a Sprinkle Aura.Suddenly, a window of opportunity had opened. I sold the Sprinkle Aura and was finally able to become 5 star with the crowns from it.

Since then, I have become far more entrenched in the game. I even ended up spending money on it, after all. Anyways, yeah... that box-opening kept me in the game.

My best memory of the game was running Concrete Jungle in the Clockworks when I hit T3. I had finally saved up enough energy and crowns from running Roarmulus Twins (Nobody told me RJP was better) to get my Ash Tail set, and I was excited to explore the rest of Emberlight and plunge into the final strata. I can't remember the name of the gate which I had started, but I know that depths 19-21 were all Concrete Jungle. Now I know that Concrete Jungle can be found in any tier, but I had not seen that set of levels in my runs before. It was the first time being exposed to the resurrection totems, and I failed miserably. I begun my expedition in solo, but before the end of the first depth I was joined by a 5* player. He told me he was going to leave at depth 23 to go do a Shadow Lair, but he was willing to stick by me throughout the rest of stratum 5 to pick me up, teach me some mechanics, and move the totems back every time I messed up.

It's not my only memory which I look back on, but it is one of the best. :] I remember that run every time that I go back to the Clockworks and find myself in Concrete Jungle. That snarby cap would definitely be something to add to those memories! :O

My best memory is joining this game. That's all I have to say. The game was the most creative game I've ever seen. It's not that pick between a "wizard, warrior, archer" MMORPG where you do dungeons fighting typical medieval monsters. It's a unique game.

Most memorable moment is probably when I literally just joined the game and farmed up the money to get a 2* calibur from the auction house. I still rememeber how awesome I thought it was (wow! this did 43 damage to monsters while my proto sword did 14!). Another is of course the Arcade. Before missions.

Most memorable moment.....

My most memorable moment has to be when I did my first snarbolax battle. I had only been playing SK for about 2-3 days. I was being amazed at all the new gear I was getting and wanted to try it out. Well the next mission i had to do was the snarbolax mission. Fearing this great beast was reasonable at the time, I had never seen or heard of it before. I gathered a group and we delved into the forest. The combat and puzzles leading up to the boss fight were of average difficulty for my 1*-2* gear at the time. Once we got to snark, I was shaking in excitement. The guys told me what to do, shield up and hit the bell when it was nearby. I never missed the chance to hit the bell and most of the times I got it. After the snarbolax finally fell, we gathered up our loot and headed back. To add some awesomeness to that, on the prize wheel I got my very first iron lock box. This was probably one of my favorite moments in my gaming history with Spiral Knights.

Didn't take the 8kcr though. Thought what I did was fun. :)

I sent him a trade request to fix it, he deleted it and told me he'd report me for scamming, I sent him another trade request, he then reported me for scamming.... This went on for a little while before I gave up and left the haven. Couple hours later he seemed to realize that I was trying to fix it, accepted the trade, and dropped the complaint......... I wonder how people like him even survive in the real world...

Most memorable moment in Spiral Knights

I like the idea of the "best memory of SK". Since this is a contest, i'll partecipate just for fun.
I'll be short.

My best moment in this game was a devastating defeat: my first try at battling Lord Vanaduke.
Me and my fellow party members reached the Fire Storm Citadel after a long, long run in the Clockworks. However, just before the boss floor, two of my friends left because they knew we couldn't beat the fallen king. I protested, but they were already on the run. Only one player remained, a cheerful guy that joined during the descent. At that point we were hopelessly weak, and were facing certain defeat. But still, we wanted to win that final battle, and visit the core for the first time.

When we faced Vanaduke, the first thing i thought was to run like a mad fool. The flaming demon chased me and my friend around the room, swinging his giant hammer, and we eventually managed to deal some damage to him because he retreated into his mask form. However, just when we started to believe in victory, reality hit us hard. And with hard, I mean hard like "a clusterfuck of melting skeletons and a giant motherfucker crushing us in seconds".
But it was fun, and I got a great team-mate and a friend. I guess I won something after all.

My most memorable moment, you say? Well, it was when I tried doing TWO shadow lairs in one day, but one failed and I was transferred to another one. I was excited to do Ice Queen. But all of a sudden, a party member left. The leader said "Noooooooo". We went without him. After, one of our leader's friends invited us to another SL. I actually chose the SL and we all agreed. So we ventured through the clockworks and we did successfully. I was nervous that we were going to succeed. When we reached the boss, it was my pleasure to do the switches (lol). After, there was the unknown passage. I took about 20 pictures of the unknown passage. ^_^

I doubt I'll win anything, but I have this great story about SK. My friend and I were in the arcade, T2, and the gate we were on had the Roarmulus Twins. Neither of us had ever fought them before, so we were both all like Aaaaah, I don't know what to do! O_o I finally figured out the switches and it took us FOREVER and a buttload of CE in revives, but we finally beat them! It was so much fun~

The thing I remember the most is when a friend and I decided to just mess around and see if we could do a two person swords only FSC run together. Oddly we didn't die that much (maybe once each if I remember right) and we got to Vana soon enough. It was when we got to the boss room when everything went horribly wrong. We got through the first stage just fine, but when the guards spawned in they went straight for me. Normally im fine with this since I am the water boy but this time they got the jump on me and killed me in a corner. Even after dying the guards were not done with me, one walked away then charged at me (while still down) and forced me through the wall . Our two man team now turning into a 1v1 fight with vana while I had aggro on the guards behind a wall. Eventually Molcer managed to kill the boss by himself and get the tokens for both of us.

I managed to get two screenshots off during the fight.

My most memorable SK moment

My most memorable SK moment was when I was doing a Dauntless Delver run with a friend of mine. We took the Vana gate, because we thought it would be awesome. I forgot which level it was, but at the area where there are 3 totems, a trojan, 2 more trojans, and the wolves spawned, my friend's internet took a dive for the worst. This was when the last 2 Trojans spawned. I quickly spammed my Voltedge constantly. Trying to protect him. He got back on, and we both survived. We made it to Vana, kick his ass, and got the achievement.

It was awesome.

Ahhh, best moments...

So many of them, I love this game quite a lot, even with the upcoming updates. c: Listing a few, not in any particular order.

My first best moment was when I was lookin' around in Haven, waiting for my mist to regen, being a 4* knight at the time. Then someone is all, 'Selling 500 CE, 5k cr!' And I got the deal! At that time, I was just about to craft my very first piece of 5* equipment, my vog cub coat, which I still have today. It was the most CE I had seen in game at that date, it was amazing. I don't know if the guy wasn't informed, too quick to sell or what but he proposed the price and I was happy!

Second best moment was doing Dauntless Delver achievement solo. The last two levels were fiends and my internet chose that time to spaz out. ;; I kinda rushed those two levels, mostly D28 but I made it by myself with no deaths! :D It was pretty awesome, I should do Dauntless again sometime for the heck of it.

Third best moment was joining and being in a guild I'm no longer apart of. At that time, they were the guild that I was looking for: like a small family, friendly, just want to have fun, doesn't matter if someone is really good or not. I had many good memories in that guild, I kinda wish it was still like it used to be.

A good question indeed!

My most memorable moment in my SK life span was actually fairly recent. I had gotten back from work and decided to log into SK since it was a while when I last played. I log in and head out to Haven 1 just scouting about seeing what's going on. I peek down and notice a message from Zone Chat mentioning of a phenomenon happening in the Bazaar. I figured, "Hey, why not check it out?." I walk into the Bazaar and, my goodness, I was not prepared for what I had seen...

My most memorable moments would have to be from back when I first started playing...

I recall entering into the arcade as a new knight all decked out in my proto gear, eager to begin my journey. It quickly became apparent, however, that my gear would not suffice for my head-first into battle approach. Upon coming back to the arcade relatively empty handed from my useless run, I proceeded to sit against the wall among a large group of knights (the arcade wall was the place to be back when I started playing). My exhausted walk and battle scars, though I wore them proudly, must have been obvious to these elite knights and it seemed as if I wasn't the first young, struggling knight they'd met that day. I was approached by one of the knights who walked with strength yet showed a slight hint of compassion in his eyes. Dressed in his Rose Regalia Chapeau and Tabard, I was mesmerized by who this great knight walking towards me could possibly be. "Hello!" he said, "My name is Crimson-Albedo, leader of the Knights of Cross; you look like you could use some help." He then proceeded to provide me with various items to help me in my journey and only then did I notice the group of knights forming behind him who also provided me with various weapons and armor. He told me that if I ever needed help, come find him and he would do whatever he could to help to which those behind him nodded and cheered in their agreement.

Two+ years later, now decked out with all kinds of fancy 5* gear, I'm reminded of this moment any time I see a struggling new recruit and I hope I can follow in the footsteps of those who guided me to where I am. I believe Crimson-Albedo has long since moved on from this game but I will continue to carry my sword and shield in the name of all he and the Knights of Cross stood for: to uphold the knightly values of chivalry, honor, generosity, and love toward others.

The one and only, Guardianknight.

I think the most memerable moment for me was back about a month ago. I had started rage crafting cutters and after about the forth useless UV I decided to just start making my DVS and not care for a good UV.
I hoped into the first arcade terminal I could find and started at level one. I was going for dauntless diver at the time.
It was my forth run trying for it of the day, I kept dying in a compound level sadly :l At this point I had a Vile Striker and it was just crafted. I started up the run again and it was going great. I found my self in tire 3 again with 3 of each pill type and only missing 3 bars. Another compound level, another threat.
My Vile Striker was level 8 at this point due to some lucky arenas along the way and I was ecstatic with the idea of getting the hardest achievement AND completing my DVS.
I was nearly dead now, almost out of pills. I always messed up on compound levels, I either brought the wrong bomb to deal with the minis or the wrong armor to defend my self. "Only 2 more floors to go, you can do this" I told my self. I walked onto the party button activating the last wave on the compound.

Things went better, I managed to dodge all the enemy attacks and survived.
2 floors later I was at the core with a newly level 10 Vile Striker and the CE for the upgrade.

Just trying my luck for the sake of it. I've been playing SK since the first month of release, I've had my fill of fun, boredom and random moments. But despite everything, the frustration of the lack of content and endless glitching because of playing from Asia, I just love the whole game itself.

I tried playing D3, just couldn't cut out for me, everything is just too competitive like most games. But SK is about the cuteness, the art and simplicity, a touch of old school gaming without too much stress. Its sort of a love hate thing, but with this new patch, perhaps its going through a better path which I find intriguing. I've stopped gaming, but SK seems like a chill game to enjoy for the long run.

I've been through only two guilds, In the Jelly and Coup De Grace. Haven't really been a star player or anything, but I ended up making friends from all over the globe in these two guilds, which is why I love MMO so much. Some drama here and there (funny how its always in MMOs). Socializing was pretty decent, people were mostly friendly and here to have a good run, or just simply slacking in Haven. Met a few great people with great personalities and managed to woo a few friends to play too. Also some of the players in ITJ became pretty famous and its funny how we used to do random runs and just derp out. Until now, its been years but I always find myself logging in just to walk around Haven.

SK itself is a memorable moment for me, where else can you find a cute clockwork-robo-fashionistic-violent-huge arsenal-dungeoncrawling game?

My most memorable moment would have to be the first time I met a Game Master. It all happened during a FSC run. It was pretty memorable because the run itself was full of fails. I was being a total derp. One of the party members was using Swiftstrike for the first time, so she kept dying. And another player kept lagging. Then we proceed to making it to Vanaduke, as usual, and what do you know? He locks up when we step in the party button. We are waiting there for more than a minute, and he does not move. He locked up because one of the party members mentioned Tokyo Hotel (no kidding, it was too much for Vana). So we had to proceed to sending a GM ticket. Few seconds later, Atalanta shows up! It was the first time I had ever seen a GM. And I'll be honest when I say that I never thought I'd meet a GM, so this was pretty important for me. So after she loads up, Atalanta proceeds to wack Vanaduke with her banstick. Of course, Vana was locked up, so nothing happened. Atalanta's solution is to start another party and invite us. As soon as that happens, she just works her magical GM powers to take us through every level of FSC till we get to Vanaduke. Remember how I said that this was a run full of fails? Well Atalanta herself was taking forever to load up, so that only added more funny factor to the experience. So yeah we make it to Vanaduke, Atalanta leaves, and we proceed to defeating him as usual. So that my friends, is how I saved Christmas. Overall it was a pretty fun experience and truly memorable.

Here are some screenshots of that moment:
In this screenshot Atalanta used a charge attack that sent Vanaduke flying towards us. She's not in the picture because she had left to start another party. http://cloud-4.steampowered.com/ugc/506890381009963006/36555F5F2BA550884...

Most Memorable Moment

My most memorable moment in Spiral Knights? Well . . . of course there are a ton of memorable moments, but I remember very clearly spending nearly 2000 CE on revives at the T3 Seerus battle of the Crimson Hammer Mission Pack. It was fairly late at night, so my sense of good judgment was off . . . I truly wanted the Rocket Hammer. It turns out it isn't the GREATEST and most GLORIOUS weapon out there, but that's what I thought of it at the time. I got mad at this 3* for tagging along the entire run without reviving us once, so I kicked him before he could claim the reward. He also happened to be downed. The cost of reviving himself would've been upwards of 600 CE. ):> I know, I know, it was a little harsh . . . okay very harsh . . .

Then again, I don't like to have a negative experience define my time of Spiral Knights. I think the most fun I had was when I first started playing. I was always terribly excited to see if my offer for that Wolver Coat or Cutter had gone through. Times have surely changed. Anyhow, good luck in life. I'm glad you have a girlfriend and I'm happy that you are going to college. Life always comes before gaming. It's just a matter of remembering what's important.

Cheers, Charmion.

Most memorable moment was when I was gifted with my asi high flourish from a dear friend that I barely knew at first and ended up quiting. To this day I would never go to any run without it and wont plan on selling it at all even if I was quiting. Means quite a lot to me ^^

Oh gosh, I've had many

Oh gosh, I've had many amazing moments in this game it's hard to count them.

But one I hold close is the first time I decided to try a danger mission. It was Ghosts in the Machine, and I had a fairly good team. We fought through all the electric passageways, bomb zombies respawning like crazy around totems and dreadnaughts, but we finally found ourselves in front of the dormant hunk of metal - The Big Iron. None of us knew any real tactics to fight this machine, so we did what any reasonable player would do - Endlessly fight off monster after monster and shield-spamming until it shows purple. Our team fought through the first two phases with a lot of trouble, but soon I found myself with half a pip of health, no way to heal, and all my team downed. With many very slow tentacle dodges and sometimes being confined to very little room between lasers (not to mention scuttlebots and retroids I had to keep alive so I didn't have to deal with a mecha-knight), I somehow stayed alive long enough to gun him down with my magma driver, and the little guys dropped just enough health so I could revive my team.

Who prompted to heal themselves with pills.

But the first time seeing all those treasure boxes... WELL, that made up for it.

My in-game name is Fangel. It's fun to share these little stories. :P

Hmm

Hi, it's a shame to see a fellow knight leave, but it's nice of you to help others with your stuff.

For me I think it's meeting all the friendly players.
One time when I was makingmy 4* set, I had my ash tail recipe ready and had 600ce saved up,
now all I needed was 2.5kcr so I decided to do a Jelly Run and when I joined I was excited and said yay 2.5k till my ashtail.
Then I get a trade request, and the guy that only knew me for 10 seconds gave me the cr to make my ashtail :D.

Well if I win this that would be the new most memorable moment haha.

First off, thank you for putting life ahead of SK. That was a good choice.

But throughout my journey, I have reached two really great moments.

My first 3* weapon. It was a Rigadoon and is sitting in my inventory as a Daring Rigadoon waiting for the new Battle Sprites crafting to come. Obtaining 100 CE without knowing that the CE exchange existed was tough for me, missions not out yet and haven't done RJP yet. I also bought the recipe for 14000cr. That's more than a 4* recipe! When I saw my Flourish turn into a Rigadoon, that's when I realized. I should get a gun. A few months later, I bought a Prismatech MKII on the AH for 15000cr. Now that I had two 3* weapons, I took a break from SK.

That was when the missions came.

After going through the computer's files to delete space eaters, I came across the Steam files then ventured into the downloaded games. That was when I saw it. Spiral Knights. I decided to check back and see how things were. Me and my misunderstood name in the Knights of Oblivion guild, in my proto helmet and cobalt armor with pierce medium (helmet was costume, it really was a jelly helm) with the Rigadoon flashing its tip and Prismatech MKII also in my loadout, I clicked on my player and saw...what? My screen says missions on the top of it! I decided to click on that missions button and saw a pop-up appear. I began these missions and was learning about what the core actually was and about the Alpha Squad. My first objective "Skies Under Cradle" was very easy due to my good normal defence and my Rigadoon. These levels were easy...until I reached T2 and had to do the shadow missions. Those four levels were tough, you see. I had never been forced to fight these as I would find a way around fighting them. Fortunatly my weapons were great for destroying them, my pea gun for kiting Undead (exept for Kats which I used a Rigadoon charge at them) and my Rigadoon for poking Fiends. I managed to also managed to reach the Jelly King. This was my greatest challenge so far. Checking in my Arsenal, knowing slimes were weak to shadow, I soon found out that I had no shadow weapons. So I equipped my Jelly Helm, Cobalt (Pierce Med) Armor (not the one from Missions), Rigadoon, Pea Gun, and Bristling Buckler. Throughout this run I revived thrice, all at the boss part. When I had finished, it was 10:00 at night and I was tired, but felt accomplished. I also had enough money to purchase a Gunslinger Hat from the AH.

As I farmed Jelly King for 6 months, I passed T2 with a Miracle Hood, Horned Owlite Shield, Rock Jelly Mail, Blazebrand, and Silent Nightblade, leaving my two first weapons behind. I had decided to be a swordsman and go on. Now with my several 5* items, including my Combuster (ASI VH), Nova Driver (Gremlin VH), WRH, Blitz Needle, DR, Mercurial Mail, Vog Coat, soontobe Fearless Rigadoon, and GFC (with a derpy Freeze low). I left my Silent Nightblade as is for taking the slot of my soontobe Fearless Rigadoon. I got all the money from finding out gow to vendor items via Basil. I had made more than 50000cr and 600CE so I decided to upgrade my weapons to Daring Rigadoon and Prisma Driver (got GremlinVH from that craft). That was after I reached Vanguard, by the way.

As a F2P I farm FSC to buy Steam Games. I joined in February 2012 and is not interested in Triple-UV Skolver sets or accessories but would be nice. Thank you for reading my story.
