I was simply in awe when I found my first Love Puppy. To me finding a rare creature is about as good as it gets in Spiral Knights. This game really has a lot to offer, and a lot of fun to be had.
After finding that first Love Puppy, I have gone on to find many, many more, and I still Love to find them! Nothing will beat the first sighting though.
Promotions rock, way to go! Remember; your never too old to play video games. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
IGN Doom-Xx gimme all ur free stuff kthxbye. Wrong section btw
Most memorable experience? Well there are alot. There was one time when I was with Klipik, and we encountered a rare glitch. He was completely immobile, and other people couldn't hammer push him. He was able to change his armor though, and at one point, a GM came, but suddenly left. Managed to get a screenshot though

My best moment was when i got a UV that was asi vh on my Combuster it was so awesome i nearly cried
Well i hope you have nice time out of Sk
Over a year ago I had a friend I would play Battlestar Galactica Online with, everytime we were both online we chat, sometimes for hours at a time, and then one day he vanished without a trace, days went by, then days turned into weeks and weeks turned into months, over a year later without seeing him I logged into Spiral Knights to do a Vana run, I started a party and who joined first? My friend that I hadn't seen in a year from BSGO, I think I cried a little bit and now we play together all the time. Reunited at last.

Whenever I hear most of the soundtracks this game I get a nostalagic feel. I know this game isn't that old and I've only played it starting in early 2012/late 2011. For some reason though the music makes this game memorable to me. Whenever I hear certain tracks I remember first entering Haven, first encoutering Snarbolax, or doing runs with old guildies.
<3
probably when my good friend Bekjan gave me a CTR med Needler. Blitz Needle was really good even before it was buffed
Close second was when I was when I was planning on blowing my ~20ish UV tickets on getting ASI med+ on my Rocket Hammer. I said I'd quit forever if I didn't get it, then I got ASI med on my first try.

My most memorable moment was when I had been gathered with my friends and went into the Tier 1 Shadow Lair. We had a lot of fun, but I wasn't very useful until the Boss Battle and the Unknown Passage, where I basically turned demented from the Swarm influence and killed...EVERYTHING!!!
When I first made it into Haven, I had such a fun time looking around the great and curious little town. Later in my SK experience, I met a friend and we played a game at the old entrance. One side had free hugs, and in the other you'd get mugged. So we had a fun time stopping people at the gates and all that. :D
Well, if this isn't a trap (lol draggy ^^)
My most memorable (and probably most tiring) moment must probably be the AMAZING party we made in the AD guildhall and the *slighty* drunk afterparty for the grown ups when it was all over. Sadly as the night went on and the drinks flowed, the one thing I wish I could remember was Prophe's rendition of spice girls on teamspeak - and to this day he has never repeated it.
/cry
It was expensive as hell for all the prizes/uv rolls, took days to arrange with all the events and the helping other people's with their events, but SO worth it to have everyone together and having an amazing time!
So anyway, our little guild will be 2 years old soon and the new GM (Krakob) is arranging another party - this time it should be even better! If I win something will prolly put it up as a prize <3.

OMG, MYRTLE HAZ POSTED ON THE FORUMS, I GOTTA DO THAT TOO.

My best memorable thing in SK... My best... My... Best... OH YES! The day I joined Aeonic Doom, was one of the greatest days in my SK career. It was so warm and happy when I first said: "Herro!" It didn't feel awkward or anything, just INFINITY HAPPINESS. Same goes when I joined The Fallen. It took me some days to finally decide that I am leaving AD - Best guild evar - And join the Fallen, which has been bugging me for weeks to join, and I did. The moment I did, I felt like THE PIMP of SK. Everyone was freaking out and it felt awesome, you know... BEING FAMOUSTAR is nice. And the last thing, was me joining EoS, after double app failure. It was like: "Achievement Unlocked: Join EoS - Difficulty: Impossibru Points: 15000". Rete is making me regret thinking of joining EoS, but as long as Njay is in EoS, we are all safe from that scary boss. :<

The crafting of my leviathan blade. I loved every moment of it and ill always carry it with me since its been there from almost the beginning. What's a knight with out his sword?
The other was my first time against the Twins. Full group and I don't know how new they were but it was pretty grand being the last one standing when it was all said and done.

My most memorable experience with this game was when I first got it. When I heard that you could get a hat for TF2 from it, I thought it nothing more than another "buy our horrid game for content in your other game". Then, however, I saw the game was free. I thought, "eh, might as well have a go at it".
When I started the game, I thought it would just be another MMORPG warcraft-type game. But when I took my first few sword swings, I could tell it was much more than that. I was so into it, even once I got to the clockworks and obtained the TF2 hat, I didn't want to stop playing Spiral Knights. The music, the atmosphere, so much to it.
There were other memorable experiences, like when I first defeated the Snarbolax. It was an exhilirating moment for me, as it was my first ever boss fight. It was tough, and it took all of my mist, but me and my team were able to put it down, with me dealing the finishing blow. From that point, I knew that this was much more than I ever expected it to be.
Another memorable experience was when I made my first energy purchase. It was solely to obtain an accessory-a pocket mewkat. It was my first actual accessory, and it's still on my main armor today. However, the energy purchase also brought me many more things-the ability to finally craft my first 5* gear, access to the snarbolax shadow lair (the snarbolax coat/cap was actually the first 5* armor i had), and a weapon or two in the auction house. It was the day I went F2P-P2P.
My final memorable experience was my first danger mission win. It was in ghosts in the machine. The team had almost quit, as we were all defeated. We were at the boss fight too, making it a real kick in the unmentionables. However, I still had enough CE to revive myself, so I had done so just before anyone left. At that point, the big iron only had a little HP left, so I rushed right to it and delivered the finishing blow. I had then revived everyone else with my health. Though I don't remember much of it, I believe the reason I revived myself then was because we had come so far, and I didn't want it all to be for nothing.
Good luck with your future days, my friend. I hope you have a good life ahead of you.
In-game name = Snapshackle
Honestly, it happened before I even started playing the game. I was at character creation, and I was entirely unfamiliar with the game. For example, given that you were able to customize your armor, I thought that was how I was going to look for the rest of the game.
So, I thought, "hey, let's not pick cool colors - I need to be able to pick my character out in a group, and I don't want to look like everyone else."
I went with Teal, and now everything looks ugly on me. Sigh. Whenever I have an extra 50kcr kicking around, I'm switching it to purple :P
Actual moment in-game: Some guy said "come to the garden for free crowns!" I was the only person who actually showed up, and he gave me 500cr. Nice! I added him as a friend and we had a brief chat... And then he proceeded to demand that I follow him to the Advanced Training Room. Given that he just gave me cash, I obliged, but I really shouldn't have - he spent the next 15 minutes showing me absolutely every weapon and armor he had, saying "check this out" between each one. He would yell "STOP" every time I tried to show off something I had (I had just gotten a Snarble Barb and a Pulsar, so I was all amped about those). After a bit, I realized that this guy was doing that annoying-little-kid thing that I think we've all run into even as adults - a kid just showing off all of his toys, not letting your play with any of them or show off any of your own.
I left immediately after I realized that.

most memberable moments... when i found a mirrored lockbox in a elevator XD and when i got 2 book of dark rituals in 1 hunt! XD!
My most memorable moment was when I first time soloed Vana, then I just die once. I was really happy :)

Okay....so I myself am a veteran player like you, and I've been playing since 2011....so back in the day, during the summer of 2011, there was a clueless knight looking for a guild to join....enter, the ultraskull....now I had found a guild that seemed interesting, Hunter X Hunter.....the GM of the guild, Kurapika and I met....and talked, for a LOOOOOONNNG time....we hit it off immediately.....shortly after, I joined his guild, and for the first time since starting to play this game, I was really happy and felt that I was finally in a place that I belonged.....
My most memorable experience was going to the FSC for the first time with my bro, we found it insanely difficult and wasted 300+ ce in revive just that last room before the vana. Then we talked about it and decided to face the boss. Geez, I have always heard about that last boss everyone just loved to fight but never got a chance there, and after a year of leveling I was finally there.
The Vanaduke &$~#/& us but I was happy and sad at the same time. No one of us owned a blitz, we just had a Cold iron carver and a glacius, and being our first time, we never got a chance against him. Even after my bro told me that It was all a waste of energy, etc. I was kind of happy since, after a year, at least stand on that last level.
A week or so after I found a strike needle and my bro crafted one and we finally beat him and reached the core. My best moment here at spiral knights.
I have many : was when I was 2* those were the days, farming the JK, Alpha Wolvers with auto-aim, flame turrets that engulfed all the screen with flames, cruel op devilites, my struggle to get full 5* without paying $ lol, CE at 3k cr ($_$) ... Also some memorable friends, that I encountered while helping them in random runs ...
But If I have to choose, it is this one : when my guild ex-leader (schicksal), one of the most honest and nicest person I ever met, wanted to promote me GM , and then quitting forever :(
Sad memory, but my friends still take good care of her guild, maybe one day she will return ^^

My most memorable moment was when i was getting frustrated that i couldnt find a party to help me do the chapter before the King of Ashes, because i wanted to get to start farming vana but not being able to complete the other missions solo held me back. So a friend invites me to one of his low level missions and i was like why not i cant even do mine lol, so we finally get on the last elevator back home and i pull a mirrored lockbox which just made me feel so much better :). I was thinking of selling it but in the end all i got was some usable eyes which i eventually sold for like 100kcr which was less than what i could have got for selling the mirrored lockbox itself.

My first experience in SK was probably one of my most memorable.
After I made it to Haven I explored the area and found the arcade. Curious to know what it was, I decided to go down and join a random party. As soon as I came in, someone pointed out that my mic was on (oops). The guy was a real good sport though and turned his on too. He was really nice and patient even though I kept dying every 10 seconds. Once I ran out of mist though, I left the party and unfortunately, I didn't add the person.
My second most memorable experience was when I joined up with the guild I'm in now.
I was in the Town Square, trying to figure out how to make more money, when one of the guildies started giving me a few tips and then randomly invited me into the Firestorm Citadel at Depth 25. I only had 2-3* gear though so you can only imagine how overwhelmed I felt when I got in there! They thought it was hilarious though and kept me along. Three months later, I'm still with the guild, and thanks to them, I made it to Vanguard rank in less than a month.
My third most memorable experience was my first boss, Snarbolax.
Up until JK, I did everything solo so when I realized I had reached my first boss, I felt exhilarated! ... Then I felt completely screwed. I died about 3 or 4 times, but luckily Snarbolax was my first mission that day so I barely had enough mist to complete the level. What wound up happening was that I didn't know you were supposed to hit the bell when it got close. I only realized that after dying twice and then hitting the bell on accident when he was in range. I felt SO stupid but at least I killed it!
One of my most memorable times playing SK was the week I started ... my husband had bribed me to play, and for the first few days I always played with him. He was at work that evening, though, and I was bored and wanted something to do, so struck out on my own for the first time. There was no mission system yet and I didn't know how to check the gate map, so I just picked the first gate in the arcade and started a run. Well, turns out it was a Snarby gate, and I found myself in the Gloaming Wildwoods for the first time. I was terrified. It was like "OMGOMG, this is a boss level! I just started playing ... what do I do?"
I managed to kill Snarby with a minimum of trouble (I had glanced over at Sol's screen once before and knew to use the bell), and was so excited that I had to send Sol a text at work. XD

So many people getting trolled...I feel sorry.
Mine was with my three good friends, when we did JK in 11 seconds flat. One of us set up a venom veiler, followed by a DR, while the other three meleed the crap out of it with our GFs and Combusters. Oh, that was fun.
Unluckily for me, I'm only Knight Elite, which means I have to recraft 4 star armors from an old Dusker coat (groan) so even if I do win those sick 5 star weapons, I can't use them.
Also, Sentenza VH High?

My most memorable moment was when I was given to me My red tabard and chapeau, back when it first came out, when I was selling materials at Basil.
People would come to me and laugh when they didn't pay for coming to Basil, but it's funny because when I said "But you're happy, right?"
and they were confused. Because in the end I didn't care about the sale. Some people, if they could even strike a conversation for a moment, I'd let on by.
Then one person sat with me and chatted for a while, and people from his/her guild didn't want them so they gave them to him/her. Then that person gave them to me.
My god. My happiness on that day knew no bounds.
"Now my charisma stat is maximum. I have become the red mage" was my exact quote.
To that person, if you read this post and remember that moment. Hats off to you. That day was definitely my most memorable moment in any MMO in history.

Oh.. the memories you get, I remember the first time I downloaded this game in 2011..when i was in the crash sight, the graphics were beautiful and the sunlight from my first steps of haven made me feel warm inside and kinda happy. Oh the times when this game had 4-5k cr ce prices and noob me could never get pass 2k cr c:, memories of my first steps were so peaceful the graphics seemed better than what it is now for me but thats just me.
One of my most memorable moments of Spiral Knights was when my entire party collected all the Mecha Knights we could throughout the run of UFSC and unleashing them all on the final battle. They didn't last long...

Well you don't have to go around ruining their time remembering. It's not like they care about what you say, they're still going to enter because there still MAY be a prize. And as long as that MAY is there, they will continue. So who cares if this is a troll? You shouldn't be the one to tell them!
i guess theres not much that i can say when i first played. first thing i thought of when playing SK is legend of zelda lol. i guess the memorable moment is going around exploring the arcade with a bunch of friends. we tried to do a whole run till we reach the core. we were so curious back then. we thought there might be something awesome like a treasure or something. well once we got there at least the view looks pretty stunning and mysterious despite a bit disappointed not finding anything with any worth xD
When I win one of those godly items. THAT will be my most memorable experience :D

Im pretty sure 90% of the people that posted are alts trying to make their chances of winning even higher. Hence why we see so many names we havent seen before until after this thread is made.
Most memorable moments-
When LD first came out. It was hilarious. Everyone didnt know what to do at all xD it was fun cause no one cared about damage or caps; people were actually just trying to figure out what to do. Now that the game has progressed, LD has become popular.
Nemesis boxes; those boxes gave me such a thrill. I opened like 20+ and barely got anything good, but still it was a pretty fun time.
First shadow lair; completely dominated. Didn't get pass the first party button in the SL snarby run. How challenging it was :) haha
Finally i'd say meeting the community; although there isn't really anyone in particular, it was nice seeing how the community was
Stories are fun to read and it's even better to take part in them.
My favorite moment thus far and the most likely for a long time given this update's clog on my progress...
-Fang Of Vog
I'd just gotten my Crest of Almire and was getting into the groove of Vana before my Elevator Pass (no longer implemented) ran out and I was grinding that thing for that sword with a backdraft. I love weapons like the Fang and Faust; the gamble of a powerful move backfiring is just something I feel a weird excitement from when I use it.
I was on my last run late in the night, I was the Shiver Buster in my parties and needed a Needle. One man comes in, typical gear and such, but the THIRD guy...oh man the third guy. I've forgotten his name and guild, since he's been long gone like many players, but he ran with us in Cyclops and Fencing Gear, no Needle, only a Valiance and a Leviathan Blade. He was a skilled dude let me tell you. It's not as epic as Paintool, but getting through with 3 dudes, one bomber, a needler, and a walking piece of sharp glass was one of if not the most intense runs in my Spiral time. All the while going deeper we dreaded what we were to do once we had to face the Big Man. Any sort of fire or tap just brought him down, and we'd have to pick him up each time halving our health. We did it every time because we knew we needed him to win. We were so close to losing out, the opportunity cost was getting high. We got the last hit in and hit that caps lock. Somehow we made it though, and I got my Fang of Vog in a way that was more interesting than I thought the last run would have been, and I wouldn't have it any other way.
Rig the contest. I wanna win!
I like playing with Pokemon and my boneless finger.
Well I was just trying to be funny. Didn't you giggle? XD
IGN: Beasterz
I've had so much fun with this game, but i'd say my most memorable moment was finally getting all 5* gear. Because I never spent any real cash on SK, grinding was pretty much all I did. But to finally have it pay off by getting vanguard and relaxing a little was so great. 4 months of vana grinding really does something to you.
My most memorable in game experience had to be buying an elevator pass in order to grind up all the tokens I needed for a Kat Hiss Kowl. When you're a bomber, you do everything you can for more varied equipment. Oh wait, one time I was playing lockdown and I just /sat down on the point with a guy on the enemy team. That was really funny too. Do I lose because I have two stories?
My favorite moment happened in T1 lockdown. I was put on a stacked team so (to try to even it out a bit) I used a loadout with no weapons equipped. The match was on furnace and I spent the game throwing water balls at people. There was one area where water was thrown so that one tile was surrounded by fire and a wall. However, there was an opening allowing you to walk in there. Also, I was recon. Anyways, a new player on the other team saw me and started shooting me with his proto gun. I walked (visible) in between the fire as to hide. The player kept shooting at the fire although it wasn't hurting me. I then went invisible and walked out. Right when I did this he switched to his sword and striker zoomed into the one tile space I was hiding. He got stuck trying to leave the fire trap until he died. I felt bad but couldn't help laughing at this XD.
Most memorable moment is when I encountered my first Love Puppy.
IGN Lord-Hood
I'd have to say a tie between fighting a tortodrone way back when, and first going to the shadow lairs with some guild friends on the day they came out (and barely making it out)
To me, a memorable moment can be anything from the simple laughs shared with friends to the dangers we overcome with our fellow guildies. I believe that if we learn to appreciate, every day may be a memorable experience. These are the moments that make us believe that all the time spent playing this game was worth it. These are the moments that mark our SK experience forever.
As for me, the most memorable moment was when I set out to the Clockworks to acquire my final and probably hardest to obtain achievement, "Dauntless Delver". The whole run was rather long and painful due to the lack of variety of my gears. Luckily, my friend was there to help me out and to guide me step by step through the treacherous depths of the Clockworks. He protected me from the evil creatures who lurked in the shadows and made sure I stayed in top shape at all times. He was ready to sacrifice himself and even to revive himself with CE just to keep me alive. Our adventure begins here: (If you find this post too long, just skip to the last 2 paragraphs)
It was a couple of days before Halloween and I have just purchased my very first Elevator Pass. Presented with the possibility to run as much as I want, I thought I could finally grab the last couple of achievements that was missing from my collection. So my friend and I set out to the Arcade, we chose a rather easy gate to get things started as I was pretty "noobish" (and I still am to this day). The boss of this gate was the Jelly King and Fiends were mainly limited to T1 and T2.
The run started out smoothly in the peaceful atmosphere of T1, we had no trouble fighting our way through the hordes of Jellies and Beasts standing in our way. The calmness of the Clockworks refreshed my mind after countless days of farming Vanaduke non-stop. We emerged victorious from T1 and arrived rather quickly at Moorcroft Manor where multiple Mewkats greeted us warm-heartedly. There we took a brief rest and headed down to the much more challenging Fiends-packed T2.
We ran with all our might through the dark cities populated by these evil creatures. We didn’t want to be overwhelmed by these small yet wicked monsters. And so, with only a couple of scratches, we emerged victorious from the corrupted fiendish cities, ready to take on the Jelly King with his army of blobs in his most comfortable Royal Jelly Palace. Having faced the Jelly King and his myriad of minions innumerable times, we easily managed to take care of him. His Highness finally stripped of his power, we made our way to Emberlight, the town of the Gremlin Outcasts. We made the necessary preparations for the final stretch of our run and went down to the mechanized land where Gremlins roam in every corner.
Starting from there, things were getting “seerus”, because a single mistake could be fatal and would make all our efforts in vain. We hacked and slashed our way through the army of gremlins. While in T3, we had a very close call that almost abruptly terminated our quest. It was in a T3 Gremlin Arena, we were doing fine until we got surprised by an army of Darkfang Demos who spawned on the very last wave of the last room. My friend got instantly blown to smithereens by the firepower of the Demos and I was left running around like a fool with only half a pip of health left. Without a single hesitation, my friends revived himself and came almost instantly to my defense while I healed myself with a pill. For that, I am truly grateful towards him. The remaining part of the run was accomplished with ease and we descended to the Core, happy we pulled off such a feat.
And thus, I conclude my story. For me, this adventure was very memorable not because I managed to obtain my achievement, but because I realised during these gruesome 3 hours that I have friends on whom I can rely on. Friends who wouldn’t mind wasting their time and money to help me. Friends with who I can play and share laughs. These friends brought meaning to my gameplay on Spiral Knights and I always look forward to hanging out with them.
I believe that every other knights’ memorable moment is as unforgettable as mine, and I wish the very best of luck to anyone who is posting in this thread.
Thanks for your time.
Best of luck in your love life as well as in your career life!
