Heat crystals are very easy to farm. Those hilarious numbers of crystals that Cirno claims to have endured is definitely dubious at this point.
Why you numbskulls should stop complaining about the forge, and why this update is so great: A Summation
Firstly, when you're making a thread with an opposing view, you probably shouldn't do something as unprofessional and childish as demeaning them with something like "numbskulls", that sort of attitude gives off the impression you won't listen to people with an opposing opinion, so why should we listen to you?
Secondly, I can agree with everything except the forge.
I only have one reason for having a dislike for it, and it's that I have to stop playing while I'm in an expedition, I am expected to stop and mess with my inventory constantly, which is fine for something like the arsenal, but for leveling your gear you're looking at stopping every floor just to mess with leveling up your variety of gear, not to mention the boss areas that only offer one arsenal station before you're stuck twiddling your thumbs since you cannot switch your gear or level it up without an arsenal station.
Basically, what this means is that you break the pace of the game constantly just leveling up your gear, instead of leaving it to be something you could do in town.
We could have had less heat given out to the gear and the heat crystals acting as a massive bonus to the heat instead of being an absolute requirement to level up, for instance (this is my own opinion/suggestion, keep in mind).
I liked being able to wander the clockworks, leveling up a weapon and trying it out for a while so I could get a feel for it in tandem with my other weapons, with this I'm constantly switching gear around and I can't exactly master it without a large amount of ineffective devotion to a weapon that doesn't level up and has an overall lesser performance.
Arcade. Arcade, baby. Every single level has an arsenal, and the forge only takes a second to use. I don't know what you mean about messing around with your invent, the amount of crystals that you have shows up in the forge. And you earn a level every level? Okay, that is one heck of a lot of heat you are getting. Also, weapons now require commitment. Is that necessarily a bad thing? Crystals are extremely easy to farm, though. You can go on a simple elite expedition in the clockworks and be rewarded with 15+ crystals per level on average. And so what if the forge is harder than an automatic levelup? You have an unlimited amount of levels that you can go into, so I don't see any problem.
I honestly shouldn't have demeaned people by calling them numbskulls, but after explaining the same points over and over in several threads, I became frustrated and made this thread.
You still have to mess with your inventory frequently, feeding your battle sprite at the arsenal station, as well as forging.
Also there are still boss areas even in the Arcade.
I often wander around getting a lot of heat, so it's easy to get the crystal necessary to level at first, however those crystals required to level up the weapon increase, and since you need to max out heat for 4* items, and presumably 5* items as well, this causes quite a bit of friction with the players and how they see their efforts.
Also I don't know what you mean by 15+ crystals in an elite expedition, seeing how I haven't even gotten that many during my elite runs myself in tier 3, you're blessed by the RNG it seems.
My beloved Arcades runs are back ^ ^
Shamanala is happy
Oh, I missed you so much!!!
Seriously, Arcade is awesome. And the whole reason why I valued normal dmg over anything else at the start, whenever I wield my Lion-Honor blade it reminds me how far I have become. It's like an upgraded version of my Levi ^ ^
The heart of SK is in the Arcade and I'm glad they brought that back
You still have to mess with your inventory frequently, feeding your battle sprite at the arsenal station, as well as forging.
After getting my sprite lvl 100 I can tell you, you can feed him 2 bar per depths at max, 4 if you got a lucky treasure vault (no arsenal) or arena...
It does not take that long... You won't forge every depth once you get 4*
But venomous, I have been playing the arcade.
I only play the missions for boss tokens.
Megadrone has 1693 something Radiant Fire Crystal and 1086 Shining Fire Crystal
He can even provide me a screenie, he never bought any from depot nor from AH
Why do I mention him? I have him on vocal and he played with me for EFSC... (see comments above)
Edit: This is the best screenshot ever
Edit2 : His number of Spark of life
It's refreshing to see a thread that is not a whine.
Too bad the few people who didn't agree with the forge had to storm into this thread.
Those who say that crystals are hard to find will be slapped!
Why don't you just ask about getting everything for free? That is basically what you are doing, so just say it!
^But if u get stuff for free OOo losses profit and bad idea cause sk will end and no more playing time
Uodate gud
Lets sort out some of this PA business before I back up this wonderful new person who seems to share the idea that the Forge is bad.
@Marthedge
Oh wow, I practically leave the thread because people seem to take my counter-arguments as insults, and heeey, someone else appears to back up the forge dislike! :D
(Did you guys really think I was the only person?)
Even though I said I left the thread... I should really take a look at this, to see if I couldn't come up with something that helps.
Or at least brings this argument closer to a close. But first...
The obvious PA from Venom...
@Venom
-HOLY S*** this is GOLD, man... You aren't 22 at all, noob.
Ok. If you say so. I mean you ARE my dad after all. You were there when I was born, right? Right? No? Shush, then.
===
Something is very, very wrong with your math. Heck, you can't put two and two together
...At no point in the thread did I demonstrate this.
, use memes, immaturely posting in every single thread that the forge is "baad".
I'm sorry if my taste is too much for the likes of you. It IS the internet, after all. I mean, if this were some sort of place where you could have a civil discuission (which it is clearly not, due to the frequent name-calling and 'oh so threatening challenges' from the other users.
===
By the way, don't you mean Oxford? Ah god I can't stop laughing, you are such an idiot.
Imagine that, a 22 year old enrolling in Oxford, an institution reowned for its academia, and you can't properly put together a paragraph or even spell Oxford correctly!
Oxbridge is a portmanteau of the University of Oxford and the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom, and the term is used to refer to them collectively, often with implications of perceived superior social status.[1] "Oxbridge" can be used as a noun referring to either or both universities or as an adjective describing them or their students.

@Ndognine
Anyone else getting the feeling that Cirno is like 10? he keeps calling us kids...seems like a weird insult to use over and over again. considering he has absolutely no idea how old any of us are.
I really have nothing to say to this. Really. This is so silly I don't even understand the nature of such a post.

@Shama
She joined on Depth 25 then claimed she based her off Stratum* runs
I'm afraid I have to pick on this .-. I have no choice.
When you quote someone, you have to do it correctly. Now I'm not saying you should have quoted me exactly, as that would have been tedious and practically a waste. What I said was "In the forums, I gave an average based off of stratum 5, 6 and vana runs". Therefore the correct quote would be:
She joined on Depth 25 then reminded me of a point she made earlier in the thread about the average crystals.
ok, you joined at depth 25 and got 30+ crystals. I think that is enough. I'm engaging larry mode. see ya.
Okay, several time through this topic I've seen you say several times that just because a majority of the players don't mind the forge doesn't mean you can't voice your opinion. This is true. HOWEVER. The inverse is also true. They are free to voice that they are fine with it, so stop trying to stifle them. And don't say you aren't. You are trying to drown them out by being as vocal as humanly possible. We've heard your point, and that this point you are only serving to troll. Stop.
Also I'm dumbfounded that you only get 4-13 a run. I assume you are probably playing on normal if this is the case. On elite I typically get 20+. I shall take screenshots at the end of a couple runs I do later to prove it.
And lastly, stop insulting people by calling them all kids. It makes you seem insecure and it makes your ability to get support for your opinion decrease immensely.
Firstly, when you're making a thread with an opposing view, you probably shouldn't do something as unprofessional and childish as demeaning them with something like "numbskulls", that sort of attitude gives off the impression you won't listen to people with an opposing opinion, so why should we listen to you?

YES. This is correct in every way. I didn't even think of this until now.

Let's add some more to this:
As we all know, the Forge is basically a game balancer; a counterweight for the neutering of energy. As explained by OP earlier, this splits the forum practically in two. The side for, and the side against. The side for, wants nothing to do with the other side, thinks their opinions are more valid and will not engage in a civil discussion with the other side. The side against is likewise.
Now this is basically what happened to me; no-one would listen to me, nor would they attempt to understand the point I was trying to make, but rather poke fun at my abysmal luck and share extreme disbelief. This of course, can be reversed. I may have read the posts, but I didn't put any time into understanding the essence of the Forge. I just merely came up with a counter-argument.
The basic essence of the Forge is to replace the energy removal with a similar system that keeps the game balanced. This doesn't mean it SHOULD be. Yes, I'm not saying the Forge should be in the game. Now don't get me wrong. I don't want the game unbalanced. Otherwise, what would be the point? Then your argument is 'What's wrong with the Forge?' The problem with the forge is explained a lot by marthedge's post. However, there is more.
Back in my day, we ran with more than one item that needed heating at one time, to spread the heat between items and get them to the highest power/be able to craft them into the next tier item quicker. With a system of needing to use crystals to do so, this complicates things. The game is choosing a seperate amount of crystals to use for each percentage chance on every different item. Heck, even other items that are the game have probably had this. This may not appear such an issue, but when you want to level multiple things, this gets you concerned about how many crystals the Forge uses. The Forge may tell you 'x48' or some such, but do you know how many crystals that's using? 48? 53? 60? 100? Now this may not be a problem if you do stratum runs (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 depending on what crystals you need), but if you don't want to spend EVERY SECOND doing runs, then you're going to want to be cautious and use the 20%-70% leveling options. Some of you may not see the sense in this, not choosing the 100% option because it is GUARANTEED. Yes, the 100% option is guaranteed. But at what cost? And can I afford to keep doing 100% if I sometimes don't know exactly how many crystals it's taking? I kinda need those.
The crystals themselves are found in treasure boxes, usually 3 if it has crystals. The problem with this being is that there's chances you may not get enough on average as other players would, then even if you do you can only do so many runs in a day (or have EVERY box you open drop crystals), and you need a considerable amount to do 100% chance every time. This may not be of concern to you, who have probably been doing crystal runs for a while since the update, and have probably hoarded a load. But what about the people who find this rather daunting? You don't express any feeling for them? The Forge affects everyone, you know.
What I would like to see is the Forge either replaced or reworked. This can be done in a manner of ways:
- Tone down the Forge, and buff the crafting (alch machines).
The forge could use less crystals for each level, and crafting could use more materials per recipe. (I mean, I have materials by the buttload (However my pet doesn't seem to like them very much), so you must have at least a few thousand of each one). - Increase the chances for each level, only include the bonuses at the maximum and slightly buff them a little.
This has been suggested multiple times before, but I shall repeat it here. This would require 20% being increased to at least 50%, 70% to 90% or 100% and the maximum would be 100%, but would be the only one that had the bonuses (buffed a little, of course) and use more crystals. The crystal amounts that would be used currently, would stay the same. - Replace the Forge's heating system with another kind of heating system.
This may seem trivial as heat is a big part of the game, and to some it would make sense to replace the idea of energy used for elevators and the like, but this method of doing so isn't exactly widely appreciated. - Replace the Forge with something that focuses not on heat levels, but rather on another thing that is as large as heat.
This may seem overkill, but sometimes the best ideas are built from the ground up. (Look at how far SK has gotten since beta)
Your most recent post is the type of post you should have made in the beginning. Deals with the side for the forge's good points, points out why you think the forge still isn't worth it, and then points ways in which to fix the forge.
I personally have no strong feelings toward the forge, but it is QUITE demanding once you get into the higher levels of a weapon, and it gets quite a bit ridiculous. But I also see that SOMETHING needs to act as a stall for the game, now that elevators are free.
My first post was mainly me reacting to the poor way you handled this thread in the first place. It rubbed me the wrong way, in many ways.
EDIT: My opinion so far on this topic is this. Something like the forge needs to exist to stall progress because elevators are free. Should it be the forge? My answer to that question is a yes until I see an alternative that is BETTER than the forge. I feel that is what you should be working on, and not just naysaying the forge, because that will got you nowhere.
I came back with this update; all I've seen on the forums since is abusive posts about "Whining" "Numbskulls" and endless bitter commentary from people who don't understand that you are not the things you love, criticism of those things is not criticism of you personally then, and those things don't need blind unreasonable fan boy white knighting, because that just drives people who have valid criticism away from both it and you.
Just like this thread does.
I've stuck with the game to test my own assumptions since, and I maintain that the Fire drops are badly designed; I only started getting the Fire I needed once I'd upgraded an entire suit to 5* level and been bumped up to L24 missions, at which points the mobs were insanely too hard for the unheated items. The only way I could progress was by finding a reasonable bunch of friends and an alliance of people who'd already got gear beyond that difficulty to help me run through it. Had I had to grind the items, then rely on offensive, insulting, irrational people, I'd have quit the game completely by now.
Abusive people kill the things they love.
Perhaps when you've levelled up your real life experience somewhat, you'll come to understand that. In the meantime, threads like this are just objective more foolish than the people you think you are criticising, because they want the game to work, and you'd rather it die than accept it be criticized.
I beg to differ. If you had to farm crowns to get all the energy needed just to make ONE piece of 5 star armor, you would realize this new system is far faster for new players than that ever was.
And before you say you still need energy because the missions before don't drop many eternal orbs, plz no. Not only can people run the arcade infinitely now, meaning people aren't throttled to 2-3 runs a day anymore (which slowed it down much more than the forge will ever come close to) without using crystal energy (now just energy), but you also may not have to use any energy at all if you manage to find some eternal orbs in the arcade, or in earlier missions. This makes it much more accessible for new players to get 5 star armor.
No, the true concern of the forge system is that it throttles people who already have 5 star armor, from getting even more 5 star armor as fast as they used to. These players used to be able to make 5 star armor and heat it like chump change, because most have monsterous amounts of energy. These are the people who are really slowed.
However these people make a good point, thanks to this throttle, people are almost discouraged from making more 5 star armor when they already have some, because they can't make it as fast, reducing variety. I just hate how they are trying to champion it for the new players, when in all honesty this update has made it easier on new players by leaps and bounds.
Is the forge flawed? Yes. Is there a better solution to counter balancing free elevators? Most likely. Is it better than the throttle of the mist and elevator system? Yes. So will we live with it until a better solution comes up that we can yell at Nick about? Most will. And most importantly, did this update help OOO by getting the game more players? Definitely.
The forge is, above all else, OOO's plan to continue making money after removing the primary energy sinks from their game. Any arguments about balance vs the old system, etc, are entirely irrelevant - something DID have to give because if everyone just gets all the max level 5* gear that they want for free, no one's going to buy CE.
The real question we need to be asking here is what will it take to actually get us to buy fire crystals from the supply depot. I think currently they're priced entirely too high; compare the price of crafting gear in the previous system with the price of buying all your fire crystals from the supply depot (assuming you found the orbs you need, which you probably did) - the fire crystals are so much more expensive that they aren't even remotely worth considering buying. OOO wants us buying them, but I really don't like their price point and I don't think even the impatient newbies that they make so much money off of are going to be okay with their price point.
If we lower the prices of fire crystals to something comparable to our old crafting costs (i.e. 800 energy to buy 453 5* fire crystals, rather than.. 7000?) - maybe we could do something like 2x or even 3x the old costs - then I'd also be okay with lowering the drop rates of fire crystals further.
As it stands now, however, I don't understand OOO's plan to continue making money. Do they honestly think they can land enough people willing to shell out upwards of $15 for every single 5* item? Those big fish exist, but they're way bigger than me.
Yay, I made a post that people understand! ...well, somewhat at least.
@Kalaina-Elderfall
This is actually rather irrelevant itself, seeing as there are hardly any such arguments, with of course, the exception of marth's who did state that quite a few times in his post. However, the idea I am trying to put across is similar to what people thought of CE back in the day:
People didn't like CE because it got in their way a lot of the time, in their face constantly. Ten levels (that's without revives) and then suddenly nope, you can't play any longer unless you pay or wait til the next day. This led to controversy about CE and a lot of negative criticism, which eventually led to the update where it was practically neutered. These days, people will only buy CE for their weapon & trinket slots.
You could compare the Forge in a similar way; you have to do it every time you level a gear. Now that might not seem quite so bad, except gear is one of the core mechanics of this game. Therefore it's possible to say that the Forge system is a lot like the old CE system. Factor in the fact. that you need a certain amount of crystals to do so, you can do rates that aren't quite 100% if you want to level something else as well, but don't have enough crystals to do 100% for both, yadda yadda... you have a bit of an issue.
=O=O=
If we lower the prices of fire crystals to something comparable to our old crafting costs (i.e. 800 energy to buy 453 5* fire crystals, rather than.. 7000?) - maybe we could do something like 2x or even 3x the old costs - then I'd also be okay with lowering the drop rates of fire crystals further.
I would say that this makes the Forge withstandable to a certain length of time, but eventually people will see through this plot and turn it down.
=O=O=
As it stands now, however, I don't understand OOO's plan to continue making money. Do they honestly think they can land enough people willing to shell out upwards of $15 for every single 5* item? Those big fish exist, but they're way bigger than me.
Well it depends. Instead of thinking of it like an individual thing, think of it like a lump sum solution. Say if you were to pay for 45k energy every month or every other month. You'd be set for a few 5* items, provided the Forge doesn't ask for a ridiculous amount of crystals for an item. Then once you have a few 5* items, you can rest easy a bit until something new crops up that looks really good and great for use. Don't forget that this is a flexible game; new, amazing things can be added at any time... like the Tortodrone... (maybe >.>)
Overall, I believe that CE should become a more necessary part of the game, and the Forge in order to make it more bearable.
The a key difference with the forge, though, is that nothing stops you from playing. People are a lot more tolerant of being able to play as much as they want when they want to, than they are of hard daily caps. Unless OOO can set up a system whereby people actually do buy energy SOLELY for exclusive things like accessories (and.. they may be able to, but it doesn't seem sustainable), -something- needs to be in your face to make you want to spend money to get around it. A something that doesn't make you stop playing or have to be constantly fretting about your mist count is a better system, provided that both systems generate the same amount of revenue for the game.
Lowering the prices of fire crystals to a rate that people will actually find it reasonable to buy them is hardly a plot, and the fact that sellers are trying to make money does not discourage buyers from buying things.
Personally, I have something like 60 pieces of crafted 5* gear with UVs ranging from good to amazing (and yes, I use all of them). From my perspective, basic 5* gear isn't worth much, and the vast majority of the cost of an item is in buying its UVs. It's not my favorite thing, but I've always been willing to buy CE in order to buy particularly amazing UVs. $20 can buy most VHs. A basic, UVless piece of gear isn't worth $20, and that VH that might have been worth $20 before is almost assuredly not worth $35 or $40.
Historically I've spent about 40 cents an hour on this game, which I think is probably well within the range of what OOO likes their players to spend. But at these rates, what I'm not going to be doing is buying fire crystals, especially not when it doesn't take -that- long to grind for them.
IF YOUR JUST GOING TO COMPLAIN WHY DO YOU EVEN PLAY THIS GAME?????
Until recently, after the CE was removed from the game. I decided that if you truly love a game, spent 3000+ hours on it, and didn't pay a cent during that whole time, it is probably time to support the developers. So I did, I bought a 19.95 starter pack and didn't regret it at all.
Either way, I haven't paid for the crystals, and yet.. I have hundreds of crystals, and I've been heating a lot of gear. Still, I earned 90+ radiant crystals in only a few levels, and 100+ shining crystals.
"Low, but not too low that you'll be forced to pay Energy for them."
Stopped reading there, because that's Hogwash.
it used to take about 1 1/2 weeks(as a F2P - 5* player) to craft from getting 2*-3* item --->5* completion. it takes about 1 week now, including purchasing recipes. Result: new system is faster, it's just that the time used, is placed in a different area of the whole crafting process.....it used to be to get CE to craft..now it is to get crystals to craft. Result: new system is faster.
enjoy, do what you want with this information...it is free.
IF YOUR JUST GOING TO COMPLAIN WHY DO YOU EVEN PLAY THIS GAME?????
Hey look, it's me from a third world. But seriously, we complain because we care about the developers and other playes that share the same idea, but are too afraid to come out of the shadows/forum about it.
Tl;dr If you're just going to state a one-line point, why do you even complain?
I'd report that, but there's no report button.
is spiraling into immaturity. Improve the quality of your posts, please.
Okay there goes my time reading a baka debating with reasonable men
What I wanna say is even OOO decreased the drop rate of crystal, the drop rate is still pretty damn high (or HUGE ) and same goes with SoL
Also we all know we can no longer see each others' loot
That explains what? He's not gonna pick all the crystals to prove he's right! (Yup im talking about your pic, Shamanala .)
So I think baka you should make video to prove you're right.
PS: I have totally no problem with the forge
I don't see any problem with drop rate
Someone farming couple vana per day along couple arcade runs a day after 2 week
Forge is a problem? Go play more and spend less time in Haven ;)
Edit: The forge is not problematic at all. It's people understanding using 100% to get double level is the key to success...
DOUBLE LEVEL guys/girls...!!! from 8 to 10. BOOM... get Forge prize box with eternal orb, spark of life and fire crystals!!!
/fail
I think that Cirnothebaka has some Very good points and has defended them well(at least in the beginning). I think that the numbers are pretty accurate such as an average of 10-22 crystals on Elite Vana, I have done Vana on elite 3 times now and the number of crystals vary first I got 50+(yeah) then I got 23(ok) and then lastly 19(bad). The forge is Not a "necessary evil" it is EVIL.
It either needs to be reworked on, removed, or REMOVED.
At the very least lower the # of crystals needed to level up a 5* (please) my divine avenger is still at level 9 after 3 Vana runs on elite. This is upsetting considering all the heat has been there the ENTIRE time.
This forge concept may have benifited long hardcore players, but for many other casual players, we simply don't have the time to be doing multiple elite Vana runs day after day.
Please don't troll/hate me just for my opinion and I think that many of you are being unfair or stubborn towards Cirnothebaka(even though she is also replying unfairly) just drop it and listen for a change.
I also saw a couple people calling Cirnothebaka stupid because she "does not know how to spell Oxford" and "is probably 10" um Oxbridge IS a university and is a part of Oxford, you could easily confirm this by using the search bar in the top right corner(for those of you who may not know ~sarcasm~) and I highly doubt that she is 10, however some of you seem to act like it.
This above note is for mostly people on the 1st and 2nd page, this page seems to have some intelligent and nice people. With the exception of spinex and tiraid.
"Oxbridge is a portmanteau of the University of Oxford and the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom, and the term is used to refer to them collectively, often with implications of perceived superior social status.[1] "Oxbridge" can be used as a noun referring to either or both universities or as an adjective describing them or their students." -Wikipedia
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oxbridge
Actually look things up yourself before coming to uninformed and idiotic decisions. Oxbridge IS NOT AN INSTITUTION! . End of story. Actually use your search bar, Mr-Freckles. Odd, your writing style seems remarkably similar to Cirno's... I haven't ever seen you before, I wonder why.
As for the crystals, you just have to play in the Clockworks, not missions. Also, normal clockworks are a lot better than FSC. Also, your difficulty setting... Put it to "Elite". If you just do that you'll have so many crystals you won't know what to do with them. Look at Shamanala before coming up with your conclusion. Three FSC runs is not enough data to come to a conclusion that the droprates suck. Also, have you ever considered that you have been given unlimited levels? For free? Something had become the sacrifice, and the forge was that sacrifice. A totally necessary evil which isn't even that evil anyways.
Did people finally stop complaining about crystal drops? What a super frabjous moment for the community.
Sry man if i offended u in some way. And i am a different person the Cirnothebaka. I thought that portmanteau meant a combination of, so that would mean it is a combination of the two universities. Am i miss understanding? In fact the link u posted says "Oxbridge can be used as a noun referring to either or both universities" sooo wouldn't it count? IDK
I have tried some mission runs, on elite on tier 3, i am not a very good SK player and often die often, i lose too many sparks to the number of crystals i find. For me the safest bet is Vana.
I like the free levels, but i never hit the cap on 100 mist before so the update only harmed me. This is why I personally don't like the new update.
Again I apologize for any insults, but i thought my info was correct and informed not "idiotic" (maybe i was wrong? I still think the oxbridge counts)
And @Bushido-Brownies LOL i wish...
Before you keep your arguement on how fire crystals completely ruin the game, please do this:
1)Realise that you only have to forge 25 levels for a level 10 5 star gear, not 100.
2)Realise that because mist energy is gone, OOO expects you to play more, making it possible to actually level up your gear.
3)Only do 100 percent success rate unless you are as desperate as making a thread about how forging sucks.
4)Realise normal is like the easy mode of Spiral Knights; less drops. Normal FSC run: 6k-7k crowns. Elite FSC run: 8k-10k crowns
5)Realise that calling yourself a veteran to show how "experienced" you are to back up that you know "more" about Spiral Knights does absolutely nothing. Experience isn't based on experience, but understanding.
6)Realise that this update is too good to be true, so there HAS to be a downside to back things up.
7)Realise that going on Elite FSC runs won't give you your precious 3 star fire crystals that your Knight Elite heart desires (and yes, the update didn't fix everything about those low ranks with high gear). Just saying if people still farm these days.
8)Realise that expecting to get your item forged at a 20 or 70 precent chance is like expecting to get a charge time reduction high on your calibur or attack speed increased max for a troika.
9)Realise that OOO isn't the money stealing idiotic thieves we take them for. They're money stealing know what they're doing thieves.
If you still have an arguement to pose, then I'd be happy to prove that it is in dust.
Is this in response to me? If it is then here is my answers, if it is not then sry for the unwanted response(please say who you are responding to)
1) I don't understand? don't you only have to forge 10 times to get it to level 10? (for a 5*) but then that equals like 1000 crystals
2) Totally agree, but i never hit my mist cap before the update
3) I DO only do 100% which is why it takes so long. lol
4) I agree and only play on elite when i want rarities
5) I did not call myself this, in fact i even said i sucked at this game....
6) I do not know if it is "too good to be true" but yes there are downsides
7) I knew this
8) Agree (again-same as #3)
9) LOL and i dont think they are $$$ stealing, they are just like anyother mmo
And i still don't like the amount of time it takes to level up my items, i am a VERY casual player never playing more than 3-4 hours a WEEK.
This means it takes a much longer time for me to level up.
What me and my supporters feel like right now. 300 opinions vs enough to blot out the sun.
except not one of you are spartans. You're kids crying in your basement. Get over it already.
@Ndog
And you tell me about throwing out insults.
Maybe there is a reason behind that. Also, your "supporters" are few and far between. You have, what, three other people who agree with you? In comparison, the entire forums are tired of your antics. Spamming bad memes and your uninformed opinions around in every thread. Horrific grammar, horrific arguing style, ridiculous claims of being much older than you probably are and where you are studying... In all, it honestly doesn't make your point of view look so good ATM. Also, Shamanala streamed EFSC with you and you got a fair amount of crystals, and every other teammate earned even more. I don't see what your point is, your ridiculous claim of earning 12-20 crystals per EFSC was shattered. Why can't you just leave these forums with a shred of dignity still intact?
@Mr-Freckles
Sorry, it just very clearly seemed that you were calling me an idiot not for "using the search bar in the top right corner". I just pointed out why you were wrong. And no, it isn't a part of Oxford, or Cambridge, either. Here is the definition of "Portmanteau": "A portmanteau (Listeni/pɔrtˈmæntoʊ/, /ˌpɔrtmænˈtoʊ/; plural portmanteaux or portmanteaus) or portmanteau word is a combination of two (or more) words or morphemes, and their definitions, into one new word.[1][2] The word comes from the English portmanteau luggage (a piece of luggage with two compartments), itself derived from the French porter (to carry) and manteau (coat), which is a false friend of the French compound word porte-manteau meaning coat rack."- Wikipedia
"Oxbridge" is a term that is used to refer to Cambridge and Oxford together in one word. It doesn't exist as an institution, however. Simple mistake, especially for one that doesn't know what "Portmanteau" means. So yeah, it wouldn't really count if someone was claiming that they were going to "Oxbridge". Yeah, your info wasn't correct on this one.
Now, as for your reply to Notgreatpig:
1) More like 900 crystals, but you'd probably get one or two level skips, so it could be from 720-900 crystals. Either way, I'm heating two pieces of 5* gear and I still have more radiant crystals than I'll ever need.
2) Then you shouldn't be blaming the game not for giving you crystals. I'd be able to burn through my mist in 30 minutes before, so if you are that casual then you honestly shouldn't be playing this game.
3) Not really... I always forge on 100% and I'm leveling two pieces of 5* gear. Still haven't run outta crystals, I have 634 and counting.
4) Well, good for you then. But remember, missions don't drop rarities that much. Play in the clockworks if you want rarities.
5) If you suck so much at this game, how can you be able to pass judgement on something so radical as the forge? From what I've read, you are a real casual, the opposite of a veteran. More like a wanna-be-spoonfed n00b. If you want a sandbox game, go play sandbox games. We'll stay here.
6) Of course there have to be downsides. Before, it was mist. Now, it is the forge. Nothing has changed, except you can go through as many levels as you want. More gameplay, more fun, and less restrictions. But what would stop players from getting full 5* gear in a few days? Answer? Nothing. Therefore, the forge had to be added. It is there simply to slow your leveling down, and it does its job efficiently unless you know how to obtain crystals fairly easily. Yes, the forge is a necessary evil. You simply can't expect OOO to make a game that takes only a few days to get the best gear. Nope, not happening! But with the forge, you'll still have to grind a bit but at least you won't be stopped from playing after only a few levels.
7) I'm just going to skip this one. If you claim you know where crystals drop, okay.
8) Only point I agree on. Developers need to eat, just like any developer. At the end of the day, the objective is to get money. Of course. It would be naive to say anything but. Still, the developers of this game are trying their best to balance earning money and appeasing their community. It is a hard balance to maintain, and you hafta respect that.
Thanks for clearing up the Portmanteau thingy.
Although I am a casual player and die a lot, I think I would count my self as a veteran simply because of the long amount of time that I have been playing this (I have no exact date, but it was at the very least 1 year or 2).
You burned through your mist in 30 minutes! wow i don't think I have ever done that, after an hour of play I would still have like 30 mist left.
And of course I agree with this "Developers need to eat, just like any developer. At the end of the day, the objective is to get money. Of course. It would be naive to say anything but. Still, the developers of this game are trying their best to balance earning money and appeasing their community. It is a hard balance to maintain, and you hafta respect that." I totally understand and never disagreed with this point I just personally don't like how the update affected me.
I wonder how much I'd have to pay Eury to ban this kids IP...
@Ndog
You went on at me for calling people kids, and now you do it.
She joined on Depth 25 then claimed she based her off Stratum* runs
Edit: And Optimus joined on D26 and racked a lot of Fire Crystal o.O I haven't even noticed that >.<
