Oh whatever, let's call it quits thin. Ruining this RP with our innacessant arguing. Add me in-game, you sound like a pretty chilled yet sure minded guyXD Enjoy the rp, and no i wont be rejoining.
Times Have Changed
Oops, looks like they didn't quiiiiiiite patch you up right. You fall apart and die.
BlendTec reanimation blenders ARE faulty sometimes.
Assuming human pride in oneself is a given constant, if said pride is added to your statement of apparent admiration for me, one possible and likely conclusion is that sarcasm is present. -_-
People do not usually fear me, though respect is more common if I can keep my own pride in check. Respect is difficult to earn and keep, but well-worth obtaining in most circumstances.
^lol
If you haven't noticed, I'm messing with you. ;)
@Ariav: I'm not allowed to play Spiral Knights nearly as much as I used to, but the symbolic benefit of adding someone as a friend in-game is not something I intend to pass up. :) I'm sorry that we got off on the wrong foot; you seem like a decent person with a budding writing skill that I don't want to discourage.
Feel free to join The Spiral Conspiracy too, while you're at it! :D
Hehe, well its great to see youXD Nice writing skills yourself>.<
OOC : @thin Not trying to bash you here, but I do notice that it's a bad habit of yours to "hijack" an RP by adding in your own storyline, which seems to be ever canonical. It's my little personal opinion, but I think that consistently reintroducing one character from the same storyline and pulling in other players to follow it (though not forcefully, it just appeals to a lot of roleplayers here) detracts from trying to make an RP feel unique and fresh. It's like ordering the same fries with different condiments. Different flavor, but otherwise the same texture and sustenance.
Thank you. We can stop kissing now. xD
I'm clearly in a humorous mood. What time is it, 11:14pm? I think I should sleep now. :3
__________
Back to roleplaying!!
That's...a very interesting analysis. I'll stew on that for a while. Thanks. :)
Edit: Ironically, the character I introduced to this RP has a personality and recent history so radically different from her original character that I'm tempted to make her into a new character entirely. :3
This is what I get for watching bad lip reading, but anyways, I spoke with no sarcasm, I just seriously fear that you will, contort? I have completely lost my mind here :), but reply to me with a very.... I seriously don't know how to talk anymore, but derp. aoifnaw I just fear your really snazzy replies to people
Let's just say that nothing happened, okay?
You never said anything about my app. Is it accepted or declined? Are apps still allowed or not?
Btw pow, just join in. Sintag seems to have missed 3 applications lately, including mine and thins. So just join in, and if your told off, no harm done.
Ah. What a good sleep. Time to check the RP thread for any new-
Oh dear. Millions died in derailing argument train. Back to your scheduled rp.
"I... I just don't even..." I said, looking at the thing. I noticed a cut down tree in the distance. I wonder if I could make a lyre out of it...
Yeah you're in, too.
If I miss applications, it's not my fault. Life. You fast posting people.
Y'know?
(Gwen just explained to Sanaca what the creature was, and I presume Arch was standing close enough to hear. Sanaca just asked what Arch thought of the whole business. The creature was described by Gwen as a "huntress," but Sanaca said it was a "bloodthirsty beast," which earned a scowl from Gwen.)
Midnight - 00:08 on a 24 hour clock
When I arrived at the town, I saw that it would be appropriate to say 'GET ME OUT OF THIS STUPID PLACE' but since it was midnight, I decided not to. If it wasn't for my KVG, then I wouldn't be able to see at all. I knew well that bandits roamed this place at night. I grabbed the crest from my supply bag and fixed it on. It's much harder to accessorize yourself without Bechamel. I turned off the light it was producing to stop thieves being suspicious. It wasn't long until a thief stole my Blaster. But it was OK, as I'm a terrible gunner, and last time I used a gun I almost shot my eye out.
I hate normal Cobalt gear. I used to wear Mighty Cobalt, some of the finest armour the Order had. They stole it from me. Once I get back to Haven, the first monsters I'll kill are the horrible jury. I'm pretty sure I'm not their only victim. I knew that many were falsely arrested and brought here as well.
I looked around for other knights. I saw none, but that was because my KVG have limited range. My Com Unit can talk to people five thousand miles away. My KVG has a range of fifty metres. Notice the difference?
I hope the Vanguards of the Order don't get the power running on the Skylark and abandon us while we're in this horrid place. I will KILL them if they do. And I'm serious. Of course, thanks to my com unit's range, I could talk to Feron if I wanted to. But he wouldn't answer the call. They never contact the Wasteland, they say.
I am a decent bomber and an exceptional swordsman. I never left home without my Cold Iron Carver.
Until now. I couldn't take it. They stole it. But, the question is, how could they steal it if it is bound and bonded?
My only old property is my crest (got away with it by saying it's 'good luck' , my KVG and com unit (said they were essential) and my Drakon, Firesword. (they couldn't steal him as he kept flying to me, and he burned through the metal when they caged him.)
I miss Haven. I miss my old arsenal. I miss my rank. I miss my Guild. (well, I founded and owned it, so technically it is still mine)
And most of all, I miss my fellow Knights.
My only company is my sprite.
I'm lonely. If anyone hears this, I need help. I can't do this alone.
Wasteland is not the right name for this place. It is the most devilish place on Cradle.
Worse than the Citadel, a place I have always hated.
I call this place 'hell'.
---Transmission Ends---
OOC: What are my attributes, by the way?
Remember: bad guns and good swords.
"You guys can explore the house. I'm going to go see if I can make an instrument out of that tree over there.". I said, pointing to the downed tree. I ran over and took out my sword to start cutting it. About half way through cutting it, I felt some go over my mouth and I could move at all. Why me... All that was left to give any signs I was there was a sword in the tree and my feet scraping the ground for a few feet.
I saw a bandit in the distance, taking another Knight away. (it's Arch, but my char doesn't know that yet) I yelled that I could help the knight. I unsheathed my Calibur.
I hate normal Caliburs. They're too heavy. The cold iron on my Carver was light and powerful. If it wasn't my only sword I had used before, I'd break it there and then.
I ran to the Knight being took away by the bandit. I quickly wrestled the bandit's grip off the Knight. I have amazing muscles for a teen.
The bandit tried to fight me, but I knocked his sword away with one swift stroke from my Calibur. The bandit swore at me and ran away. I had a little chuckle, then turned to the Knight.
He asked me what my name was. 'Everybody calls me Pow. Even I do.' I said.
I asked him if he could help me, as I hate soloing anything but a tier 1 expedition. He said he was part of a bigger group, but I was free to join it if I wanted to. I accepted the offer, also giving him a five crown coin. He obviously had a lot more money than I did. Even though I was now part of his group, I decided not to reveal my crest secret. I knew well not to trust all people in the Wasteland.
I asked him for his name.
(Now is where you post, Arch)
OOC: As Sintag has not gave me my attributes yet, I have used these:
60% chance to crit with a sword
80% chance to misfire when using a gun
Fast movement and attack speed
Medium health
Good reflexes (40% chance to dodge attacks)
-95% gun accuracy
-15% bomb toss accuracy
-90% gun damage
+15% sword damage
-85% gun range
-10% tossed bomb damage
-20% bomb radius
+10% sword reach
Night vision
I know it's a lot, and all the bias is towards guns and bombs but I am a sword-only player.
"T-Thanks." I said. We were about to head back to the group, but then a bandit emerged from out of nowhere, knocking out Pow. He then held me at swordpoint, while another tied me back up. The two dragged us off to their camp. It was in a secluded place in the woods, consisting of 6 tents around what appeared to be a burned out campfire. From my rough counts, there were about 3 men and 2 women, so logically the last tent was for the captured. One woman, who appeared to be the leader put Pow in the tent, put kept me outside. "So, my men heard you were in a group, so you probably have quite a stash. Where do you keep it?" she asked in a rather nice tone for a bandit. I refused to answer where, knowing it would probably endanger the inn keep. "Hmph. Fine. I'll get you to talk later. Men, look for some more people to steal from." She said, pointing to two of her men. "I'll just get the other guy to talk." she said, entering the tent.
(I'd like control of the side character, so don't powerplay her.)
The woman who was possibly the leader of the bandit fore entered my tent. She asked me where the 'stash' we had was. I said 'I honestly don't know. I only just joined his group before that guy in your group knocked me out.' She was unusually calm for a bandit. I also added to what I said 'Last time I saw lots of valuables was when I last entered my Guild Hall, the day before I was falsely arrested and sent here to the Wasteland.'
My new 'friend' asked me 'You were falsely arrested too?'
I said to him 'Yeah. Wait a sec, I got a com-message coming through from one of my old friends.'
He said 'Poor guy. And how can you receive that message? We're in the middle of nowhere'
I said in reply 'Amazing range in my com unit. Can pick up and send signals from up to 5k miles away.'
He was obviously amazed by my statistic. He just said in awe 'Wow!'
Before I turned on my com unit to listen to what my friend had to say, I asked the leader for permission. 'I got an uplink message from a friend. Can I please sort it out?' I said. She replied 'Of course you may.' I said 'Thanks.' went back into my tent and listened to the message.
Of course, it was nobody but my friend Cloud. 'Hi Pow. Are you receiving this?'
I said 'Yep, I am'
He said 'I'm sorry for not stopping the jury. It's my fault you're where you are now. It's my fault you aren't still in Haven, having fun like you did. And they wouldn't give me the death penalty for trying to stop them - I'm too valuable. I'm a Vanguard of course. The jury were all Champions. They'd have to obey me, not the other way round'
I said 'Well, yeah.' I chuckled. 'By the way, how's things?'
Cloud said 'I try to get you back every day. I try and get Feron, Vaelyn, Kora and all them to try and get you back. I even challenge the jury to Lockdown duels and always beat them. I mean, five star with several UVs is better than five star with no UVs. And all those jurors had Azure Guardian armour and Aegis, so they were easy to defeat with my Divine Avenger. I'm aware that I broke my Guardian's Oath and angelic way in not stopping the jury.'
I told him 'Two things, while I'm gone, make sure my Guild doesn't go into a tip. And also wipe that rigged jury off the face of Cradle'
Cloud informed me 'Good as done. Bye!' then the transmission went stone dead.
I was sharpening my Calibur all day. I also tried to reshape my Brandish to make it into a makeshift Flourish.
At night, the bandits were out looting people. I had a talk with Archemiday (I know his name now) and we were sharing stories. I told him that Squires of the Order took my reaction to the Knights trying to lock me up as an action movie. I told him every word in the following flashback.
[=][FLASHBACK
I was falsely arrested. Some Vanguards tried to lock me and Firesword in cages. They also tried to sell my equipment. I unsheathed my Carver. They asked me for it. I said 'You have the blade while I have the hilt' and stabbed that Vanguard in the neck. He fell lifelessly to the floor. Another Vanguard stepped in and wrestled it off me. I grabbed my Warmaster Rocket Hammer and cracked his helmet with a big slam. I kicked the second Vanguard as if I was doing martial arts, then picked up my Carver. Another five Vanguards came in. I slammed one with my Mighty Defender. That Vanguard flipped over and fell to the ground as if it was a magnet. I used a Carver charge attack and the four remaining Vanguards fell over as if they were metal target props being knocked over. Then twenty stepped in. Firesword managed to disintegrate three with his Flame Barrier, and scalded two with his Firebolt. I managed to blast five away with my Rocket Hammer. The other ten managed to defeat me as I was getting a bit tired of fighting my own kind.][=]
Sanaca sighed heavily, "Gwen, is there something I should know?"
(OOC: Archemiday, rest assured that Gwen's thoughts about your character in no way represent my own about him or you. We both know that your character is pretty smart, and undoubtedly smarter than he lets on, but my character is not aware of that. Her thoughts toward him have been rather unkind.)
As I absent-mindedly watch Arch skillfully carve his instrument from the tree, I begin to wonder about him. Is it just me, or is he a ditz? He's a decent fighter, to be sure, but so are mecha knights. That doesn't make him smart. Those bioelectric-brain-whatevers will never be human, no matter how they're prettied-up.
So why do I still feel guilty for thinking about him so unkindly? He's not even human! Surely we can't be judged for how we treat machines?
Maybe it's a matter of conscience. The good Lord says that we should never violate our conscience, because to do so is sin. Maybe that's why I feel so guilty. Arch has been a good friend to me, and all I've given him in return are sour looks and a few choice words. He just seems so...so...human.
My thoughts are interrupted when Sanaca says to me quietly, "Is there something I should know, Gwen?" I cross my arms and gaze at the evening sky to try and hold back the bitter memories. "The demons of the past have returned to torment me," I reply cryptically. My gaze eventually settles on Arch, who is busy carving out his new instrument.
I turn to Sanaca. "But I am not prepared to let them do that to me. Not now, not ever." I turn back to watch Arch again, but he is nowhere to be seen.
OOC : I messed up the time space continuum, poor Arch.
Sanaca listened intently, the way Gwen said was just so, depressing, but mysterious.
"Looking for something?"
My heart sinks into the pit of my stomach. "I'm looking for Arch. He was just over there a minute ago. He's not even done carving his instrument." I unsheath my gunblade, fingers closed around the trigger.
(Arch was outside the tent, unnamed bandit leader whom I'm thinking a name up for was inside the tent with pow, invalid conversation early on in the post. Might want to edit that up. Also, one does not simply impress a robot valkyroid capable of flying and amazing regeneration speed with a simple uplink :3)
The leader was surprisingly nice, letting us have some freedom. The man and two women were still watching us with the eyes of wolvers though. We sat around and told a few stories. I was worried about the party at the tree house, though.
---------------------
Meanwhile, at the tree house. In Canada, approximately one and a half hours later after kidnapping.
Hmph. Two ladies? "Psst, think we could grab em?". I whispered to my comrade. He nodded. We drew our swords and charged out from behind the trees and bushes and attacked the women, but we met some hardships.
Sanaca paled, Archemiday was missing? She dashed over to the fallen tree. A sword planted within it.
"Looks like he was taken, I don't think he would just run off with one of his swords in the tree like this." Sanaca grunted as she pulled the sword out. "Wait, look there looks like there was a struggle, there is a trail here." Sanaca pointed to the a trail that appeared to be from some sort of scraping.
"Meanwhile, at the tree house. In Canada, approximately one and a half hours later after kidnapping."
Are you okay Arche?
Meanwhile at Archs house. In Baconland. Yeah I'm alright x3. Also, post people!
(OOC: it seems that I've stealthily replaced Gwen's dual caliburs with a gunblade. xD Can I still use the gunblade? :D)
I pick up Arch's sword and put it in my gunblade's sheath. "I think he's gonna want this back." I follow the trail of prints that the kidnappers left in the dirt. It's pretty easy to follow until we reach a field of dead grass. I kneel down and examine it more closely; they left slight impressions in the grass, and I can just pick up an unfamiliar scent in the air. Following my new leads, I stumble upon a recently-dug latrine. Ugh. Good thing I didn't fall into it. The camp must be close. I peek over the hillside and see a number of white tents. A smirk forms across my face as I beckon to Sanaca to come see.
I sight down the scope on my gunblade to get a closer look at the camp.
(OOC: I'm still confused about the layout of the camp. Can someone tell me...
- How many tents there are?
- How many bandits there are?
- Where the bandit leader is?
- Where Arch and Pow are?
Sanaca follows Gwen's lead, clearly, she has retained her skills as the Finder. Finally, they come to a hillside, where Gwen beckons Sanaca over. Following her eyes, she sees the Camp of bandits in a distance.
"Okay, so we found them, what's our next move?"
I give Sanaca a wide, toothy smile. "Showtime!" I drop down the hill and dart behind a large rock. I've got a clear view of the camp, but additional cover is nowhere to be seen. If I'm going to move anywhere, it'll have to be under cover of gunfire. Dang it! I heave a deep sigh and charge up a Valiance burst. I peek around the rock just as one of the bandits glances in my direction.
Ugh, I've been spotted! Maybe if I shoot him now, they will still know that they have an enemy nearby, but it'll take them longer to figure out where. I bring him into my sights and unleash the charge. It slams into his back and sends him sprawling to the ground. I withdraw and begin charging another shot.
@Thinslayer: There were six tents, five bandits, I have no idea where the leader bandit is and Arch is outside near a dead campfire while I'm in the spare tent.
@Hexlash: No it doesn't.
Before Sanaca could object to Gwen's decision, she had already dropped down the hill. Sanaca held her breath as she watched Gwen peer from behind the rock she was using as cover, only to be spotted by a bandit. Sanaca hesitated, what should she do? Pausing to think for a moment more, she relaxed and let the scene unfold before her. She watched as Gwen charged and pulled out, giving a solid shot at the bandit. Sanaca knew the consequences for this decision, which was confirmed by two more bandits taking notice and heading over to their fallen comrade, pointing and calling out. If they got too close, they would undoubtedly find Gwen, for the only cover nearby was the rock, and bandit's were probably smart enough to figure that out. Sanaca bit her lip and closed her eyes. Taking another quick peek, she looked around. One bandits was already dragging the downed bandit back into a tent, the other walking over to Gwen's cover, a gun pointed out, but Sanaca didn't think he knew exactly if she was there yet. Pulling out her blaster, Sanaca fired off a round of shots, first a bit behind the bandit, purposely missing, and then back up towards their camp. Dukcing down quickly, she crawled over to the opposite side of the hill, away from Gwen.
Gunfire broke out in the camp. "We are under attack! Get inside!". The leader said, shoving us into a tent with her. She drew a super blaster out of her pocket and poked it out of the tent flap. She handed me a really worn down brandish and said, "Get ready for them.". As she watched closely out the tent, hoping to not get seen by whoever was attacking.
(It seems that when I get kidnapped, the RP dies or stalls alot. Like Retribution.)

I dart out from behind the rock and cross-slash at him with two quick swings. His shield absorbs both hits, and he tries to counterattack with a thrust. I bat it away with an uppercut, then twist my arm to use the momentum in a fast chop. He stumbles back to dodge it and kicks me in the gut. I topple to the ground and roll as he plunges his sword at me. I kick him, backflip to my feet, and duck to avoid another lazy swing. I twirl my blade and unleash a pair of figure-eight combos into his feeble shield. It breaks like glass, and I seize the advantage to blast him to the ground with my charged Valiance burst. I flip my sword in my hand, leap into the air, and plunge it through his pitifully weak armor into his chest.
I pull my sword from his flesh just in time to block a blaster shot with the flat of my blade. It ricochets back at the offender, who sidesteps to avoid his own shot. He darts into a nearby tent, and I race to follow him. I dive into his tent, roll onto one knee and pull back my sword, ready to cut him to pieces.
But I choose not to, because he's using Pow as a meat shield. Jerk. "You'd better let go of him, or else-"
"Or else what? You'll kill your pretty little friend?" the bandit taunts me.
I smirk and cock my gunblade. "Maybe."
The bandit's smile fades as I take aim at his head. He panicks and tries to leap over me, succeeding only in getting his head blown off. I charge up another Valiance burst and wink at Pow. "Don't worry, I wouldn't have shot you. Come on!" I beckon him to follow as I step out of the tent to face the remaining two bandits. Where the heck did they go?
And where is Arch?
I noticed that the bandit was uysing me as a shield. I turned round to him, charged up my Blast Bomb, and did an awesome maneuvre which involved kicking huim in the face, running up then using the blast bomb as a propellant to launch me upwards. I know that bound weapons can't hurt their owners.
The bandit was screaming in pain. He was also screaming in swear words. He wven decided to call me an idiot.
Idiots couldn't do what I did. It takes a former Defender Elite with good reflexes to accomplish that.
I was trained for situations like this.
OOC: Sorry for short post, out of time, GTG to bed.
(OOC: How did you know Pow's name ):3)
The sounds of battle carried over to Sanaca, who ran out and began widly firing her Blaster, attempting to distract the bandits, but almost hit Gwen as she chased a bandit into a tent.
"Whoops." She mumbled to herself, before running up to another tent, with a female bandit pointing out a Super blaster. Sanaca fired a blast at the barrel, missing and attracting the attention of the bandit. She wouldn't be guarding the tent if there wasn't something worth guarding. She dashed back, barely dodging the oncoming fire, and slipping down, smacking the gun from the bandit's hand with her Calibur. Coming back up, she grabbed the bandit's outstretched arm, twisting it around and giving a whack on her neck. There was an abrupt cry, but then the bandist curmpled to the floor. Enetering the tent, Sanaca found Archemiday wielding a rusted Brandish.
Pow and Arch were inside, and the bandit leader (Who is a she, not he) ushered them inside the tent and pulled out her gun to protect them, not for meatshields. She held the gun out to fire if Gwen got too close, not for offense. Plus she was hiding in the tent, barely being seen. Time mainstream fixing itself now.
-----------------------------------------------------
The leader tensed up, and said, "Get ready, the attacker is close." We huddled up at the back of the tent. The attacker burst inside, and the leader started to take aim. "Wait! Don't shoot!" I said. It was... Gwen? "G-Gwen? Fancy meeting you here." I said.
"Fancy meeting you here, princess!" I tease with a weak smile. I point my gunblade away from the two of them. "Look, I just want to save Arch. That's all." I hold out my hand to the female bandit. "How about I promise not to kill you if you hand him over to me? You don't gain anything except an another mouth to feed by keeping him around."
She sighed. "I suppose so. You can have em.". I got up. This was strange. She was just... Letting us go... "Everyone enjoy your day." she said as we left. Something was odd here.
I leaned over to Archemiday, whispering.
"There's something off about her, do you know what she is gonna do?"
'Hi Knights' I said. 'My name's Pow, or rather, that's how everyone refers to me. I forgot my real name. Nice to meet ya. I managed to find Arch and stopped a bandit from taking him away. In the end, more came and the only difference was that I seemed to go with him. I know there's something odd about what that bandit's saying. According to my mind-analyser, her words contain 85% evil.' I was wondering who those Knights were. 'By the way, what are your names? Just want to know what your names are so it's easier to communicate with ya.'
OOC: How do you make it so there's no title in your posts?
Name: Kaitlyn
Age: 19
Personality: Mischevious, likes to mess with people
Specialization: Excellent gunner and can remain stealth easily
Faction: Bandit
Anything else: Enjoys following people so she can mess with them later. Enjoys stealing well cooked meals from the people she follows.
Weaknesses: Fragile
Strengths: Gunner, stealth
(She would be a less used character used to cause mischief every so often.)
"No. Oh well. Lets just go with it for now. Lets head back to the tree house, I have unfinished work.". I said.
(Type 0 for the title pow.)
"And I'm Gwenyvier. Call me Gwen. Nice to meet you, Pow." I smile and step out of the tent. As I gaze upon the horizon of the afternoon sky, something in the yonder forest catches my eye. It appears to be a sword. Intrigued, I wander over to it for a better look.
It is indeed a sword. It appears to be a rapier of some kind, about two feet long, with a glowing purple blade and a black hilt. Swarm, perhaps? I pull it out of the ground and play with it. It's a little unbalanced, with a greater portion of the weight at the hilt. I've only ever seen...Void Chieftans...use it...uh oh.
What are they doing anywhere near Vendetta?
I start back to the camp and call out to Arch, but before I get very far, something grabs me from behind and drags me away. I kick, scream, punch, and scratch, but I only hit armor.
If there was ever a time I wished I could be knocked out, this would be it.
Sanaca looks on curiously as Gwen walks off, presumably to look at something. Sanaca shrugs, turning her attention back to Pow.
"So, tell me, what exactly happened back there?" Sanaca glanced back to see Gwen had already disappeared into the forest. A familiar feeling struck her, and she groaned, starting to make her way up to the forest.
(OOC: unlike last time, she will have to save herself.)
The Chieftan teleports with me to an unfamiliar place, underground by the looks of it. It is dark, dank, and slightly muddy, with an unpleasant musty smell. The chains on my wrists clank as I rub my eyes and adjust to the unlit conditions. Then an unmistakable clanking of armor comes up behind me, and a deep, hollow voice rumbles, "We WoNt KeEp yOu lOnG."
We? Who's we?
Turns out that "we" consists of no less than three Void Chieftans. Seerusly!? There's no way I'm fighting my way out of that. Looks like I don't have to, though, because the first Chieftan adds, "tHiS wOn'T TaKe LoNg." He holds up a rune-brand to my face. "TiMe tO ReJoIn uS."
"No! Please, I don't want to go back there! I'll do anything! Anything!"
"No! Ple-e-e-e-ase..." *gasp* *sob*
"NOOOOO!!-"

I find myself stumbling back to camp. I trip and fall into a stream, and when I look into it, I see...some kind of purple rune on my chest, just below my neck. I scramble back up and race to the camp.
...no, I don't want to hug the dirt...
...look at the pretty lights...
(OOC: in case you didn't figure it out, she tripped and lost consciousness.)
I feel like I can't get my point across lately...
But I have to say, what's it like to know that people instantly respect and fear you :o
