As the title suggests,this topic is for posting ideas for Spiral Knights. I'm not saying that I demand they be made real or anything that's related to "Make this idea real pls, plos,ploxors etc". It's just for things you'd imagine in the game.

I, for one, would like multiple accessories in the same place. I once tried in SSPy a Valkyrie/Vitakit combo and it looked awesome <3 or a Vert.Vents/Com Unit combo...

Crazy ideas are more acceptable here!

- Wider variety of weapon classes like snipers,shotguns,repeaters,rockets.etc.
- Shoulder camera view.
- Better graphics.
- Expanded Haven.
- Skylark can be explored.
- Unique animations for each weapon

How I miss my old RPGs...

An offline, single-player story mode where you advance the plot with well-characterized and memorable NPCs that fight and interact together. As it is, there is no "real" hero in this game.

Except maybe Rhendon.

Yes to offline story mode!

I've been wanting a single player mode with some good NPC fighting action for a while now.

I want to do more Blitz spamming with Rhendon and those 3 battle sprite missions don't provide enough time to enjoy doing just that.

hmmm

*bows with several different types of arrows that can be crafted and upgraded towards(i.e. exploding for splash damage or non-exploding status effect tips: fire, shock, poison, health drain, etc..)

*drawbridges lowered by switches that rise again after a short time period

*some sort of notepad attached to names in the friend's list(so we can remember how we know the person)

*wizards or warlocks that summon monsters from the ground when their health is getting low(including summoning menders)

*larger open space areas(kinda like D25 of fsc, the middle area except larger even with huge mini-bosses that would pop up in random locations and had groups of hordes which protected these larger singular mini-bosses...maybe in a forest or in the foreground of vanadukes castle

*hidden passages

*dark caverns that would require torches with glowing monsters and the occassional cess-filled pool with a random tentacled monster which lashed out from it

*make haven larger

*a headless(or scary headed/helmed) horseman that galloped through havens on a mighty, black, fire-snorting steed and snatched up hapless knights and transported them to a random spot around that same haven

*mini-game rooms around haven to keep ppl occupied between runs and LD(kinda like how star wars:kotor had pazaak and racing)

Before Lockdown, there was a much funner, friendlier game called Blast Network. It's still there, but nearly empty the entire time. Plus, in BN, everyone was equal in terms of winning, whereas in LD, there are UVs, Damage boosting gear, & a weapon that pretty much imobilizes another player until death.

Removing it will cause many players to leave, but most of them would have been older players that had nothing to do anyway(well, according to a majority of them, anyway). Who knows, maybe they will quit & come back sometime later with new content waiting at their feet(at least, that's what happened to me, though I didn't quit. A Gremlin mooched off with my laptop & I decided to browse the Forums using an Alt via iPhone.).

I don't know, maybe it's because I miss Queuing into Blast Network & entering a great game with other players instantly. I just wished there weren't so many problems in Lockdown.

A few suggestions that may never be implemented ;-;...

- Perhaps a few non-combat, everyday activities?
-Ex. I: Taking pictures of natural wildlife with a camera that they'll provide, in exchange for crowns depending on the quality
-Ex. II: A theater in Spiral Knights in which Knights have more emotes, have a general idea of the plot (very general, like instead of "fight in which someone blocks, someone leaps over and snaps a gun blast" do "fight. Be creative" And depending on your performance, you'll earn crowns while other knights can spectate!
-Ex. III: A television in the Town Square that when interacted on will allow knights to spectate a Stratum 5-6 party's awesome fights (if no parties available, a prerecorded one will appear).
-Ex. IV: A "Sprite Maintenance Facility" where you get to color customize and choose several different cosmetic models for the sprite.
- A side storyline featuring your Battle Sprite and a nice reward: the Sprite Maintenance Facility! (See above)
-Ex. I: A strange energy reading has been detected among the Battle Sprites, causing several to shut down and require repair. It seems as though their mutation has had an anomaly, a fluke. Suspecting Gremlin sabotage, Captain Ozlo has sent recon teams of knights into Gremlin territory to recover documents that may reveal key information. Even if Gremlin's were not behind this, they are still master engineers, and their blueprints may be capable of helping Technicians to repair the sprites.
-Ex. II: The Gremlins are at it again! They've recently ambushed a group of knights and stolen the sprites they were escorting. It is of the utmost importance that they are retrieved before the Gremlins can learn how to duplicate them. Assisting you will be Generic NPC #2, another person with an awesome weapon who can't do any damage to enemies with it.
-Ex. III: (Non-combat) A few Battle Sprites have been behaving...sporadically. Technician Blah McBlah requires your help to analyze what's gone wrong with their Prime Directive: an order to always assist the knights.
- A cave exploration system, where knights fight little and are dazzled by the incredible sights within. It's incredible how realistic the Clockworks can get at times, until you take a sniff of oil, metal, and steam.
- A half-developmental, half-feedback game in which players can design weapons of their own, test them in the Simulation Holographic Incredible Testroom (S.H.I. you know the rest), and submit them to Spiral HQ. They must be wary of cost, in crowns, orbs, and materials. Too expensive, and it'll be REJECTED.
- Geologist Blah McBlah (related to Blah McBlah the Technician) is currently analyzing sections of Valestone, and is running low on fresh samples. A large supply can be found near the Aurora Islands. Why? For the purposes of generic plot, of course! Players will be given a pick, and will mine as many samples as they can before the time limit, when monsters will have detected them. When they appear, the players will have to make a mad dash to the elevator, chased by respawning vengeful slimes and constructs.
- Biotech Blah McBlah (Related to both the Geologist AND Technician) is currently studying Void entities, as well as curse-dealing ones as well. Finding himself out of fresh evidence, he would like you to watch the lab while he goes in search of more samples. Your goal is to keep the specimens in their cages until Blah McBlah returns. Unfortunately, they (obviously) want to escape! Players will run around the lab with a hammer and planks, making sure the cages are closed until Blah McBlah comes back and kills everyone for sticking pieces of wood on his specially treated terrium cages.

Just so you get the idea,what i meant was that there be snipers (longer range,extra power,less RoF),Shotgun(lesser range,extra power,wide conic range,adjusted RoF).etc.

I think that wont be made since (i also am not sure about this)the chances of hacking an offline server is higher than an online one.

It would be good if there were types of multiplayer matches like,castle defence,an advanced version of blast network,racing(i know this sounds stupid),Pet fights.etc.

- another idea would be to upgrade wepons and armor in a better way than UVs.
- Guild rooms expand as flat and can be manipulated.
- rideable pets.
- A new haven area(best name for it would be ''The bazaar'') where people can set up shops and place their items there so it can sell even if they're offline(The AH is more suited for bids since no one seems to buy 'buy only' items).

The point is that there be weapons that have certain advantages over some enemies,like one weapon is better for getting quick and dodging enemies and another for deflecting projectiles .etc.

New awesome ideas:

- Beach environment.
- sewers environment.
- Interior environments (the current interior environments do not look any close to being interior).
- Trojan type players (Possibly as a vanguard for LD).
- Combos (to prevent normal attacks from causing unnecessary knockbacks and etc).
- Steam players can be recognised.
- Armor skins can be modified (For putting emblems on armors for guild purposes etc).
- Special auras for swords,shields,bombs and guns.
- Trail auras.
- Character proficiency (If a character uses a certain type of weapon in combat,his skill in that weapon will increase but there's a limit to how much you can increase).
-- eg. a player starts with 100 points that will never be lost or gained but can be exchanged permanently.

I have more but i want to play the game now.

EDIT: sorry for the double post.

Business ideas anyone?

I have noticed that business opportunities have gone from difficult to impossibru!(for me at least).

- It would be better if there were new ways of getting crowns.
- Remove the "Walk It Off" achievement.
- Jumping!
- dual wielding swords&guns.
- wolver,fiend,chameleons,etc. as pets.
- The inventory checking animation needs to be more detailed and have some sort of holographic pad appear at their hands(knights pretending to have a smartphone mobiles is kinda weird)

I think they're actually counting. I do like the thought of having different animations for Auction House Browsing, Crafting, Changing Weapons, I don't believe it to be necessary. Great suggestion, though.

Idea no.1: The core is the one who seduced us to free it from its prison and we are the idiots who helped it achieve its goal. The will of the core is released and it is out for revenge. Inceptron, that is his name. Tinkinzar explained to the knights during his capture that all he is trying to do is protect us from the core. Now that Inceptron is freed, he taken over control of the swarm (the balck stuff, not the bugs from starcraft, and no, Inceptron is not Kerrigan.) and planning on consuming the planet (that includes you) and give birth to a new generation of beings( he destroyed the Almirians and give birth to Gremlins) . Inceptron is the ultimate end game boss, he is the creator of this planet and his power is nearly limitless. He will throw everything he created at you, get ready for the FIGHT OF YOUR LIFE! Battle the will of the planet itself!

Idea no.2 : The remaining members of the Crimson order are revealed! (the known members are Razwog, Seerus and Herex)
Zaith- expert stealth knife fighter, genetically engineered by Herex to be the perfect solier
Xera- A female Gremlin sniper equiped with the latest stealth technology, who never misses her target
Cunnos- The head of the Gremlin interrogation unit, he had made even the bravest of the Recon rangers crack with his deadly electric stun rod
Nezulo- The Captain of the Gremlin Immortals, a group of Gemlin soldiers armed with powerful combat exo-skeletons
Yvel- A shape shifting Gremlin who disguised himself as many know friendly Gremlins in order to rob Spiral knight of their fundings (Nona and Punch)
Gani- A swarm infested Gremlin who somehow taken control over the swarm seeds that possessed him, he is the only Gremlin that made it through the unknown passage alive

Idea no.3: RV-95 'Ember' Assualt Rifle
It has a 3 shot combo, each shot contains 3 bullets. After each burst, the player is given a small interval to move until they are rooted on the ground and fire the next burst. The charge attack is a single bullet that can penetrate 5 targets and deal massive damage. It is designed to be an inbetween of Blitz needle and callahan. The Ember has the fire power of blitz and the mobility of Callahan, providing a good hybrid of both gun's property. The alchemy tree goes like this: Ember 3*->Firefly 4*->Stargazer 5*

Add 60 more, brand new achievements, replace the two impossible ones, add rewards for completing certain/all achievements.

Add a "Pouch Mode" to the pets where they won't do attacks or gain heat, but you benefit from their perk. Appears as a Front Accessory. Have one in your costume? The Front Accessory will then be invisible.

Fixing the game's netcode so we don't go from a steady 4 bar, relatively lag free connection to a horrid 1 bar, walking-in-the-same-spot-before-getting-teleported-into-forever-and-getting-killed-without-even-knowing lagfest just because someone on the next room is using the internet too. (Inb4 "lol get better net" because my connection is good enough for me to play other online games and have people browsing the web at the same time without getting the lag I get on SK).

Something like this for people that are sick of fighting uber UV'd, dual penta heart trinket strikers in LD or just want to have a free-for-all "hunting" mini-game to play.

Allowing only one Heart Trinket to be used in LD no matter what star level it is.

FTR / FTI - Fuse Time Reduction / Fuse Time Increase. Bombs blow up quicker. Or slower. (Could probably balance out the Chaos/Mad Bomber sets a teeny bit. Mad Bomber would allow for quicker explosions but Chaos would make them take longer).

Shadow and Piercing Helms / Armours for Bombers.

Elemental / Shadow Blast Bomb or DBB style bombs.

This one's silly, but it would be fun: Curse haze bomb.

This one might also be silly, but whatever: Confetti Gun/Cannon that would allow us to kill enemies with the confetti we end up collecting from events like the Dark Harvest Festival or Winterfest.

it would also be better if there were PvP matches where all knights were given proto equipment and stripped off their pendants and other weps.Also about your final idea,i think a flare gun would be better(still shoots confettis but compressed so that it deals damage

- sword/gun infusion with elements(like poisoning your sword)!
- Weapon attachments!
- Armor attachments!(like accessories but with combat benefits)!
- Walking!
- Suspend(cause afk players to be treated as if they're disconnected)!
- Private chat channels!
- Arcade offers 16-bit arcade games!
- Players should have their timezones shown.

Well, I started playing the game when it came out on Steam more than 2 years ago so I guess that yes, I really like the game :p And I kind of subconsciously mulled over that suggestion for like two weeks before I finally decided to make the post.

Flare gun sounds neat. And the confetti used could have different effects: Winter Confetti would have a chance to Freeze, Summer would have a chance to set targets on Fire, normal Confetti would cause Stun (since Stun seems to be the "Normal-type" status?) and Trick or Treat would cause a random status OR heal the enemy. :D

Ideas of mine that won't happen:

1) Make the charge time of spur swords equal to catalyzer. Make the projectile more effective and much faster.
2) Cautery sword change: on hit fire chanve, charge attack poison chance. It's a reused heated medical tool, reuse of m medical tools is unsanitary, and heat and fire go hand in hand.
3) Expansions of the statusbreaker lines, for cosmetics sake.
4) Give the Angelic lines global asi, double the asi on Fallen.
5) Rework Lockdown's "minimum defense" mechanic
6) Cool coloured Angelic helm.
7) Gremlin Ghost Mane Stalker saw blades. I sure want them!
8) option to choose to switch soundtrack with sega genesis style covers.
9) Buff pepperbox.
10) Rework invulnerability frames in lockdown to allow more viable choices, ie Cutter, Dark Retribution, other dps stuff.
11) Retro sun shards.
12) "Unique Passives" that grant lesser used sets a beneficial buff when the whole set is worn, ie Plate sets benefit from heavier kickback on heavy swords, and resist flinching, tanky sets have a chance to ignore half received damage below 75% health, Mad Bomber gets a damage buff that stacks with damage bonus every 3rd.bomb,etc

What? Last Stand is basically like a danger room or an arena that spawns waves of enemies with increasing difficulty.

Odd you pick my suggestion and tear it apart when a majority of the ones listed prior are absolutely ridiculous. Mine actually has merit since they need something to replace the Arcade, apparently. People only do Arcade for two things: Treasure Vaults and Arenas. So why not a glorious co-op battle arena with waves and waves of clockwork monsters and mini-bosses to test player skill and teamwork?

    • Combos:
  • Pressing attack right after shield bash will insta-charge attack.

    blocking right before an attack will deflect enemy attacks leaving them vulnerable for a short period of time.

    Different attack including stab,slash,overhead slash,

    • etc
  • After shield has been depleted,blocking will absorb some damage instead of ignore it.

    JumpingDash module to allow vertical dashing(In most case scenarios,you can get surrounded by enemies with no hope of survival.This module can be very useful in such cases).

    TrailDashing module to allow players to leave a trail of shadow,elemental,piercing,etc. spikes(Increases the number of tactical approaches).

    Kickdashing module to knockback a single enemy(farther than a supernova) that is hit during a dash.

    Dashcharger module to decrease the dash recharge time.

    DecoyDash module to leave a decoy when dashing(only one decoy can be made).

    DashAttack module to allow attacks during a dash(any attacks that are slow will be automatically set to medium).

    Also,many of the modules can be highly advantageous,so a higher recharge time would be good for those ones.

    -Forge:
    --crystals can be grouped to form higher rank crystals(5 cracked=3 dim).WTF am I supposed to do with all those useless crystals.
    --slightly reduced crystal prices at the supply depot.
    --After trade has been agreed on both sides,there should be a 3 sec delay to prevent any side to withdraw all items and quickly agree for an unfair trade.

    -Weapon Classes:
    --weapons,guns and bombs have two major classes;Energy or Solid(like the blaster and antigua).
    ---Energy guns overheat if fired too fast,Solid guns require reloading.
    ---Energy weapons do not deal much normal and piercing damage,Solid weapons deal mainly in normal and piercing.
    ---Energy weapons have charge attacks,Solid weapons have focus attacks.
    ---Energy bombs engulf targets in elemental or shadow,Solid bombs knock away enemies and cause a status effect.

    More new ideas!

    New weapons,usables and consumables:
    -Modern Crossbows that inflict less damage but can be modified to inflict maximum status effect with 100% chance of success.
    -Slower-than-bombs grenade launcher.The slower speed is to balance for the ranged attacks.
    -Consumable Invisibility kits.
    -Hookgun which allows farther dodging.The disadvantage is that it holds extra weapon slot.
    -Shield Placement.A consumable which generates a shield at the spot it's used at.It has a capacity of 5 times the strongest shield in the game. Good for protecting multiple members from getting pinned ao anihilated.
    -Elemental Sprinkler.When placed causes an AoE damage of a specific element(does not cause damage but poisons,shocks,burns,freezes,sleeps,curses targets).
    -A trinket which allows pets to have 2 perks activated at once.

    The elemental sprinkler sounds just like a haze bomb. Everything else sounds like pure win.
