What helmet is this?

Not so new here, but still kinda new, and I was scouring the Wiki, and couldn't really find anything on this.

Out of curiosity what helm is this character wearing in the picture from this post?

the closest thing I could find is this:

You can also see Boswick wearing it here:

Is it strickly a Dev or GM helm or something?

Weapon/Gear choices

G'day everyone! Managed to squeeze in to the preview in the last couple of days.
Really quite impressed by this game, and is definetly looking forward to the full release.

I as a player always enjoyed doing my homework (no, i don't mean math and english) on the forums when it comes to online games.
Usually saves me money from creating useless items, or time to ask dumb questions that could of easily been answered with some simple research.

After looking through the different discussions for the past few weeks, I just have one quick question:

Obviously this isn't useful for me until the 1st, but I'm asking ahead of time. ;)

Weapon split paths?

Since this is a fresh start for us all, I wanted to get into the Blast Bombs.
According to the Wiki though, Irontech Destroyer level 10 ends up with more attack power than a Nitronome at level 10, but at somewhat slower speeds.
And Big Angry Bomb seems to totally be out of the question.

And barring the fact that Irontech series needs Trojan Horseshoes and Kozma sells the Nitronome series recipes, which one seems more practical to use in actual combat, and is Irontech worth more effort to find and create?

I have a question about all the Alchemy and these "Unique Variants" people are talking about. I just don't quite get it.
Can somebody just break it down as slowly as possible for me? I really need en explanation of all these things.

Explain this crafting thing to me

Here's what I've got so far -

You get recipes to craft. Some are non-random from the Spiral Quartermaster, and others can be bought from the Stranger that sits at the Clockwork Junction at the halfway point of each tier. The Stranger's selection is random, so you need to visit him a few times if you want all the recipes.

When you craft a low-level item, you need to use Crowns, Energy and materials. There's a small chance (10%?) that you get a unique variant, an item that has a randomly selected bonus ability in addition to its normal abilities.

Why would I want to charge my weapons?

It takes forever, it slows me down a ton, and a doesn't do all that much more damage than a normal attack. In fact, damage-wise, I'm usually better off just hitting the monsters twice with a normal attack.

The only benefit that I can see is that a charged gun shot usually seems to travel farther than a normal gun shot, but that seems to be of limited value.

Gunslinger Sash

EDIT: Just what does "Handgun Attack Speed Increased: Low" DO anyhow? Does it make the bullets spit out faster? Do the bullets travel faster? If you're using an Autogun, does it decrease the amount of time you stand still?

Just how significant is the "Handgun Attack Speed Increased: Low" on the Gunslinger line of armors? From what I've been doing a lot lately, in the late T1 early T2, I envision building my character to run around kiting everything LIKE A BAWSS, but I'm unsure as to whether this is worth it.
