So I have downloaded the game from the Spiral Knights website and from the Steam library, both of which fail to load. After installing the game, the loading screen with the percentage will appear for the game, but after it completes it will disappear. I've tried uninstalling, reinstalling, and restarting my computer but nothing seems to work. For Steam it says the game is running but does not show up in my Task Manager. Does anyone have some sort of help for me? Thanks!

I've noticed a few others have had this problem and I so just recently had this issue as well. The game was launching from steam perfectly fine from steam. As of today at around 8:00 PM PST, the game seem to open up in my dock and on steam, but then suddenly crashed and closed. It certainly has nothing to do with the Nvidia issue as I am running an Intel HD Graphics 3000 512 MB.

This is what I have done so far:
- Restart my computer
- Re-install SK
- Turned off the Firewall for my computer
- Downloaded the launcher from the website (It worked but I can't login using steam)

I use the steam spiral knights.

I encountered a problem where the game crashes before startup.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling. I have been using 64 bit java and 32 bit java.

When starting Spiral Knights, only music plays.

I've tried to changing from java 1.6 to java 1.8 (reinstalling afterwards), I've disabled the steam overlay, and I've verified the integrity of the game files several times.

An odd behavior: when I verify integrity via steam, it says 15 files needs to be replaced. Then, when I start the game, it updates. Checking the integrity after that shows that 15 files need to be replaced.

Any thoughts?

i played the game fine yesterday, steam logged in for me and all, today it didnt and when i finally found a way to do so it crashes once i try to log in with it, please help

i get a black screen every time in my SK after i press alt+tap switching the top-level windows. It must be solved by restarting the game. It actually annoys
me. Does anyone knows how to fix this problem?

*The game is still running after it goes into black screen. I can still hear the sound of walking when i pressing the wasd button or any other sounds cause by clicking buttons

So two days ago I logged on just fine and had a couple good vana runs along with making a flaming pulsar and working on heating for blazing. Today when I logged on to steam to open SK it opened in my dock for a few seconds then disappears meaning it crashed. My friend and I went through the terminal to launch it and it launched just fine, but not logging in with my steam account. After a little digging we found that there was an update today?

I don't know if this is a bug or just a terrible feature, but my cursor doesn't show up most of the time. I've looked through every menu, and there's no option to fix this. Oddly enough, not having a cursor makes it really freakin' hard to aim, and I keep clicking outside my window, which usually moves it. It doesn't make the game unplayable, but it's pretty miserable.

So, I am a new player in Spiral Knights.
I have known about Spiral Knights since the 2012 Steam Total War Weekend promotion, when I received DLC's for this game as part of a bundle upon purchase (Shogun Hat, Imperial Tricone, etc)
Now, after all these years I wanted to try it out and make use of the DLC I have for this game, yet I am unable to access the DLC in my library in the game, which is not only a violation of Steam's DLC policies, but also an infringement of the Canadian Consumer Protection Act.

This has given me a pretty bad impression of the game.

I'm not sure if this is a technical issue, or just a problem with my computer, but after playing Spiral Knights for a year, then taking a break, and then returning, the Steam Overlay is suddenly broken. It was working fine around five months ago, but now it refuses to open. I have checked the 'enable Steam Overlay' box in both the game and in Steam, so I'm sure that's not the problem. Uninstalling and reinstalling the game doesn't work either. If anyone could offer some suggestions, that would be great.
