I am having troubles with steam...

So I am logging onto Spiral Knights with Steam and it says, "We experienced a problem authenticating with Steam. Please ensure that the Steam client is running and that you are not logged in elsewhere."
Now I have tried restarting my computer, logging out and in of Steam and I know that I have only downloaded Steam on this computer. Does anyone know how to solve this problem? Thanks for reading.

Well looking around the tech forums it's quickly clear that the last patch FUBARed the game for many people, no matter how they're trying to play it. I actually went to go back to playing only to find that I can't since the game won't even load (either through Steam or directly from this site).

So it's a simple question, how long can those of us unable to play expect to wait for a hotfix so we can play again?

World refusing to load D:

I decided to re download Spiral Knights, and for some reason. Parts of the world are refusing to load for me. For example: The ground in haven is completely transparent, the trees say "ERROR", I cannot see certain pieces of armor. (Mainly the new sonic armor) And most game breaking of all for me. I cannot see the fire traps in the fire storm citadel, Making that area completely unplayable. Did my game not download right? Is there a patch I can download for this? (I downloaded through Steam.)

Low FPS or Lag?

I have just come back to Spiral Knights after about 6 months. Never have I had any problems in the past running the game. I entered the clockworks last night and had serious problems with either lag or fps drops. When I hit an enemy it would take a couple of seconds to register which obviously makes arena's etc a little tough.

Is there anything I can do to fix this?

Hello,

I have a question that is bugging me from long time.
As i know, there is no waz to log in into spiral knights with your kongregate character.

But if there would be an emergency situation?

Example 1: Kongregate has taken down spiral knights from their site. No matter why, they just removed it.
Example 2: Due to some unknown reasons kongregate site has been shut down once and for all.

I attempted using the support link at the top bar, however the support portal at the official wiki only leads to faulty links that return 404 errors. This matter is very serious, and I need to contact someone from account support soon, if not now. Thanks.
