problems with dual core computer and game

Ok well I'm not much of a tech, I'm more of a hardware guy. Just so you know you'll have to be a little slow with me. lol

ok so I have a laptop

HP Pavilion Entertainment PC Version DV4T-1400
Pentium Dual Core CPU T4200 2.20 GHz x2
64-bit win7
4G Ram and 18G VRam/Pagefile on 2 HDD one external with 3GHz+ transfer rate

Did all that to make better performance on this POS laptop

Steam + Linux, no sound in SK

I've managed to get Spiral Knights running properly in Steam using Wine, but there's no sound. Sound works in other Wine apps (including Steam itself) and the native web client works with sound, so I don't think its a problem with either SK or Wine.

I think it might have something to do with Java running under Wine, but I haven't found any way to get it working. Has anyone else managed to solve the problem?

Btw if you want to get SK running at all under Linux you need to use Java 1.6. Last I checked 1.7 won't work. (Arch users can install the jre6 package from the AUR)

Please help, i cant get the game to start

okay so i can install the game just fine off of steam, but when i try to start it the screen goes black for a few seconds then starts flashing between my desktop and black then i get a message from java telling me to make sure i have the latest java, latest video drivers, and ensure my hardware acceleration is fully enabled. I have the latest java and drivers. im not sure what it means by hardware acceleration though. please help

Network Issue logging in to SK

After the reboot on from 3 days ago, i am unable to log in to SK, and i keep getting the message "Either there is a temporary network outage or the server is not yet fully operational. Please wait a moment before reconnecting." I was able to play fine before the reboot, but afterwards, i am unable to; i've reinstalled the game several times, no dice. Also, i use a Steam account, and the internet still works fine. Help please?

Game failing to start

so! after one error, I have another. Essentially the game opens the windowed version I have it set to, stays black for a second, then immediately closes aaaand....I have no idea whats wrong or how to fix it :/

Help! It stops in 90%

After the patch with new game in King Krogmo's colliseum I launch the game and log in. On the screen where I should see my knight, I saw only animation of his eyes (strange because of wolver cap) and after clicking on it, loading the game stops in 90% (via browser) or 89% (when launched via shortcut)

Please help me!

bad gaming

I meet the games requirement and yet still find that its lagging/jumping my computer run on:
-1024mb ram (1gb)
-1.6ghz duel processer
-java version 6 update 27 (just installed)
-250gb memory (50gb free)
-direct x11
-spiral knights minimum graphics level
please can you help me resolve this problem.

Bogus Chunk Size

I started up SK this morning, and rather than starting the update client, it brought me to the log-in screen. When I tried to log-in, it said something to the effect of "Client out of date, updating now." Then it started updating. however once it finishes downloading the data, rather than installing, it breaks. it says "Bogus Chunk Size," and that's all. I've been playing for a while now, and never had this problem! I'm running Ubuntu.
