I am German, with a German keyboard. I wanted to send an invitation to a friend, but it sadly turned out to be impossible to write an @ ingame. Neither the German combination of alt+q worked, nor did the american: shift+".

Cannot get to billing from a full-screen mac client

If you have the mac client in full-screen mode, and you try to go to billing, the web page will be open in your browser, but the game will not release the full-screen lock and you will not be transferred to the browser.

Serious issue with paypal billing

There is a very serious issue with pay pal billing.

Going to the billing site, and selecting the package to purchase, my next web site is paypal. It's asking me to log in. No problem.

The next page has a summary of my paypal account, has my "shipping address", and tells me that I will confirm on the next page.

I'm expecting to see a page from paypal, with "Confirm this bank account, this product, this price".
Instead, I see the three rings billing page saying that the purchase is confirmed.

That needs to get fixed before release.

Billing page issue

The billing web page has a technical issue.

There is a css section that says:
.content {
margin-bottom:0;
margin-left:auto;
margin-right:auto;
margin-top:0;
min-height:556px;
width:780px;
}

Width 780 fails if I have font size 17 in firefox (turns out to be 17 pixel, not 17 point), and force my font size. (It works at 16).

While the 16 pixel (default) font size on the button is readable, the smaller (14) pixel font text really is not.

Technical suggestion / idea / observations from the low end of the graphics card pool.

So I was playing around for about an hour, maybe more, this afternoon on the "entry" level. Before the rescue camp.

My graphics card is a 9550 mobility; my driver is the 10.5.8 mac os driver. (On some crashes, the driver logs itself as the 9700 driver.). Resolution used for the test was 800x600, full screen. Vertical sync was turned off.

If I had either medium, or high, level of detail, the performance is the same. Entering a new area can have a significant delay, apparently as stuff is loaded into the graphics card. Once loaded, I have reasonable frame rates.

Horrible response issue

Right now, there seems to be a two frame delay on any action.

It seems like, and this is just my observations,

I can be moving along a corridor. Suddenly, monsters spawn. I know they spawn, because my system stops completely. Depending on the spawn, it can take 2-6 seconds before the graphics get loaded into my video card (or at least, I'm guessing that this is what's taking so long), and then there will be one more slow frame. After that, the frame rate gets up to playable.

Ping - Game play

For 2 days now I'm having issues with my Ping. It's not a complete disaster, but it is somewhat at an annoying level for most MMORPG's. For SK though it already seems to completely destroy my ability to play the game. Nearing monsters ends up in me seeing flashes of what is actually going on and eventually me being dead all out of the sudden.

Why is Spiral Knights so easily affected by Ping?

Update: A list of things that bother me with Ping issues

  • Switching between weapons is delayed or reverses + re-reverses randomly a few seconds after the switch

Multiple Users Sharing One Computer?

Alright so my brother tried to log on to his newly-created account and it gave him the error "You cannot create any more free accounts from this computer." Apparently the game (or server, I wouldn't know) logs which accounts have logged-on from a certain system and assumes that every account accessed from said system pertains to the same human being.
