Apparently, the java application that runs Spiral Knights doesn't fit the High/Very High security requirements.

I tried putting it on the Exception site list, but the game was still prevented from running

Game crash while updating.

So every few updates or so the game will crash while validating updates and after the crashes Spiral Knights won't open or load for the next few weeks/days till an update. Its caused me to quit the game every now and then because even reinstalling doesn't fix the problem, Spiral still appears in Task Manager and steam says its there but it doesn't load at all.

Gunner Update Patch stops Steam users from starting SK [Resolved]

Steam patches just fine to grab all the new files.

When the game goes to restart, no window is started.
No window ever appears.
Steam's build ID is 461948.

The first validation had about 600 game files that failed.
The second one had 2 that failed.

Launching the game through command line as a standalone [how I would normally access my alt] successfully logs in.
Something pushed to steam for the launcher options is incorrect.

Long time problem with game crashing

For a long time now, I have had a problem with the game crashing. It happens randomly, but only when I am in a level depth, not the haven, lockdown, waiting room etc. only when doing levels... And there are times I can make it all the way through. The SK window simply closes as if I clicked the X button up top. Once my game crashes, when I try to relaunch the game through steam it comes up to the login screen and then quickly freezes. If I am fast enough and uncheck the auto log in box nothing freezes. If I click around while it is frozen an error comes up with Java.

Can't connect to servers when launching the game from steam.

Title Says it all really. I can't log in, it says, "Either there is a temporary network outage or the server is not yet fully operational. Please wait a moment before reconnecting." I tried restarting steam and my computer, uninstalled and reinstalled, and checked firewall and java.

Moving a single knight to new account

Hello there OOO. I have two daughters, and when I started their knights, they were on the same computer. I have since gotten another computer so they each have one. Both knights are currently on the same steam account, and I would like to move one of them to another steam account. Is this possible? Please say yes! They enjoy playing, but they are not able to use their own knight on their own computer.

Thank you for your consideration.

Why are there error messages in log files if the game is fine?

The game runs as far as I know, but out of curiosity I opened projectx.log. What I found was pretty shocking.

1. There are "java.lang.Exception" messages which is definitely not an indicator of a stable program.
2. There are also multiple "warning" messages about "missing translation messages" and "frame index went negative". Those also sound like bad things.
3. There are various instances of "update outgoing message throttle" where the throttling varies between 45 msg/s to 15 msg/s. The rates differ by a factor of three. Is that not suppose to affect game play?

Steam problem? Application has failed to launch

Hello!

I wanted to play Spiral Knights after ignoring it for awhile due to studies, I started and updated the game on Steam, but ended up with this after the game tried to launch. I have updated Java and uninstalled Spiral Knights and installed it again, but that did not work.
