Advice in Defense Choices

Hey everyone!
Just wanted to get your take on an idea i have for my armor / helm.
I would keep my Fallen set as costume but would get these for the true stats.

What do you think about pairing:

Divine Veil

Elemental / Shadow Defenses
Fire / Shock / Curse Status Defenses
Damage Bonus vs Fiend: Medium

+

Skolver Coat
http://wiki.spiralknights.com/Skolver_Coat
Normal / Piercing Defenses
Freeze Status Defense
Sword Damage Bonus: Medium

And my Volcanic Plate Shield also has Stun / Fire defense.

Would this combo work?

Can someone give me a detailed explination why nobody is using a drake scale and angelic combo?
together they cover every damage type. Im about to buy them and i feel like im missing something.

Quick shout-out for you guys. When i first started, i asked some general questions and got pretty quick resposnses. Over the last few weeks i keep seeing the same questions i had asked repeated. Just wanted to say thanks for your repeated answers even if it does seem a bit tedious. It would be cool to have a sticky consisting of FAQ's but seeing doubt that would happen.

A great community makes for a great game. Now if only i could get a response to my inquery made to OOO about 3 weeks ago =P

Blackhawk to Sentenza Range

I heard the Blackhawk's range is reduced upon upgrading it to a Sentenza. Is this true, and if it is, why? Will this be changed later?

Which Flourish To Pick?

Since all of my least favorite enemies are weak to Piercing (i.e. bats, Trojans, etc.), I've decided to pick up a Flourish. After checking out the Wiki, it seems the Final Flourish is the weakest choice, as it offers nothing more than damage. The Furious Flamberge provides Fire status, and the Fearless Rigadoon causes Stun. Obviously, my choice is between the last two. Most enemies attacked with a Flourish (ones weak to Pierce, that is) die rather quickly so I'm thinking Rigadoon is the best choice. Thoughts?

question about Firotech Alchemer Mk II

my Firotech Alchemer Mk II is kind of diffrent.
it doesn't have a fire icon shows Good Chance of Causing Moderate Fire in the stats page.
and i check the Auction House and found few Guns are like this.
can anyone tell me why?
