I've been playing through the game as a gunslinger, and here's the gear I've been working towards (right now I'm at 4* and close to getting 5*):

Armour: Shadowsun set
I know that chaos is pretty much the objective best armour in the game but I don't actually care so I use class armour instead.

Shield: Swiftstrike buckler
Because, you know, guns.
I might go for a crest of Almire eventually but for now I'm just going to make an Aegis as my 5* shield

Weapons:

Elemental: Arcana

So I was wondering, are the Furious FLamberge and the Fearless Rigadoon even any good compared to the Final flourish? I kinda want to be slightly different and go with one of the status ones since I don't do PVP that often but I don't want to end up being completely useless in missions like HoI.

I've been doing some thinking about Antiguas. But first, damage numbers from the guild training area-

Argent peacemaker
Damage (max) = 150 (or v High vs undead)
Damage (v High) = 137

Arcana-
Damage (v High) = 211
Daamge (max) = 230

2 bullets from arcana deal 460 or 422 damage. In order to beat this, we need 3 or 4 shots respectively.

So I have a ASI med Troika, and a CTR med Magnus, I'm too lazy to get any other weapons, so I wanted to ask for other's opinions on which armor and shield should I get? should I get armor that compliments the Troika or the Magnus?

notes:
I intend to take the Magnus into an iron slug

Since this I am going for my first set of five star armor I don't intend to take chaos set or kat armor or anything that would sacrifices more defense for offense then normal (something like wolver lines are fine since they don't have negative resistance)

So I can't log onto Spiral Knights for the time being, but I just can't stop thinking of it, I like this game so much that I'm always planning things to do when I come back. So I've been reworking my control theme and planning to get some new gear, and I thought maybe I could put my thoughts up on the forums so I can know what people think of the gear I'm planning to get and where to use them effectively, and maybe some new knight will benefit from my new control theme or my new planned loadouts.

Controls : -

W : move north
S : move south
A : move west
D : move east

So, as the title suggest, I have some questions about equipment in general.

1) What's the deal with the hate on Pulsar guns? I have seen some negative comments on them and I don't get why. From time to time I decide to go do some arcade runs and sometimes there are players that get really mad at me for having my Wildfire equipped, even going that far as to ask me to avoid any type of confrontation because "it ruins their playstyle", completely ignoring my opinions on the matter and never answering why are they so upset.

Is there something I am missing on the matter?

Title. I dont know if i go for the Autogun and turn it into better weapons later on or i just get a Blaster for the higher DPS, Which at the moment seems to be the best i can get

What will I be fighting?

Dreams and nightmares features the following enemies, that are mostly copies of their Tier 2 versions:
+Wolvers = not so bad, cannot teleport
+Toxigels = spike attack = extremely bad, beware this enemy
+Thwackers = watch for their spin attack; these get stuck to walls at low health
+Lumbers = extra large and tankier than usual
+Dust zombies = no breath attack

Vog Cub Coat not having an aura makes more sense since it has a flame-footstep kinda aura but while Skolver Coat is just plain it still doesn't have an aura slot... Maybe a coding error? Thoughts?
