Hey guys! I wrote this short story ages ago, a few weeks after the game had just launched. It didn't get much feedback back then but seeing as we have an active forum section dedicated to this sort of stuff I thought I'd chuck it back up to see what people thought. A few things to note:

- This was before the Razwog missions and storyline came about
- This was before there was a commlink 'pop-up'

I woke up, stars spinning around my head. What happened? I’m told I’ve crash landed on a foreign planet.

/puts hands on the table.

Ah, good afternoon, my good man. Please, take a seat.
I wager you're here to inquire "what is the meaning of this?"
Well, you know I have taken up a part time career in Spiral Spy, do you not?
And, well, the other day I was rifling through the Adventure Is Delicious archives.
"Angerday's starting a comic?" I thought.
I realized there were four SK fancomics now, two of them by people who started after I did. I was a slow learner, after all, so I shrugged and went back to my daily grind, pushing the issue to the back of my mind once more.

Yeah, I build stuff in minecraft classic, and I was wondering if anyone would actually pay me stuff to make something in it. I've made some SK stuff before there, and I have a thread about it, so check that out... I've gotten a bit better at building since then as well.

Now, you might have come here just to see what on earth this topic was about. Well, I'll tell you.
It's where OOO got their inspiration for the Gloaming Wildwoods. You know all those made-up words describing the token-bought gear? Or even the token itself, the 'Frumious Fang'? Yes, they were made up - but not by OOO.
Take a look at this poem, written by Lewis Carroll. Then tell me that it isn't coincidence.

Ironsteel knights are officially rolecalling for the first spiral knights live action play! We are lloking for knights available this week, from 12-3 EST.

We need, a male, a female, a dragon, a evil wizard, and a miscellaneous cobalt look alikes for foot soldiers. Also maybe a queen and king. If you have the time, (and the appropriate costume) Let Daarke know so we can schedule our practice dates this week, then the play this coming saturday. this is a one shot show, and a experiment.

OK. I realized why I can't make a fanfic (Edit: actually I made one now.). I have a short attention span. Sooo, I decided to make a bunch of short stories. Not too much work for one story, but not so little that I quit. I'll try to add a new one as often as I can. And, If anyone else wants to add their short story, (I know some of you out there spend a lot of time making those for fun) feel free to do so.
