So ive been reading around the forums on some of the bosses that are in the first couple pages.

One is a snipe boss

And the other is a silkwing boss

Both of these are within the five pages i looked at, if theres more feel free to let me know.

Heres the problem with the two of these to me, ONE is a SNIPE. which is the little lovable thing i like to chase around. I dont want to be Chased around by it. but really the boss left some un discussed things to me. at first the snipe is mutated so its huge. but when u beat it it goes back and the big one was a machine? But then you still have the minions that are ACTUALLY mutated????

As for the silkwing, its a silkwing, fwlap fwlap fwlap heal heal heal. its more of a nice little medic then a monster it doesnt even have an attack.. they just dont know they be healing the wrong persons... unless they just like to heal everything except us because it doesnt work...

EDIT*: Silkwing boss has been explained to me twice as either a greaver/ silkwing type but leaning more towards greaver. which in it self sounds much better.

So here is what i propose, how about an actual enemy being a boss, because theres a couple that would make great bosses, lizards, lichens, devilite, kats, and my favorite LUMBERS.

I dont meen to hate on the above bosses but to me its just to wierd in my mind to see a silkwing or snipe as a boss b4 any of the actual Montsters.

Other Bosses,

Arcane Snarblox and Priests

Realy cool idea it original and gives off sort of that feeling that it would be hard thanks to the fat that it would have a complete mixture of status conditions. (only one problem take out snarby, do that and it would be a great boss.)

Mirror King
The other boss i have shortly read some about is a mirror king, which is a cobalt knight looking boss that is somewhat see thru and has mirrors in his room, hes got different variations that make him similar to each boss and has his own quirks that make him really cool.

(problems. Could need something more then a cobalt knight look when i first thought of it i thought of something along the lines of a crazy foolish like king hopping thru mirrors.)

Now for Mr. Lumber boss.

Stumptre

Important!: An overgrown lumber is shaking things up in Cradle, it is our mission to go down there and prune him (little pun), but seerusly (okay ill stop) you need to get down there and take care of thing so we can fix things.

The mission would hve the usual 2 levels b4 boss, the levels before will look like they're falling apart, trees have fallen over. And some lumber ruins are all over made out of wood and vines. Both levels will have scattered constructs lumbers and a few beasts. Which are all rowled up thanks to the shaking. But also there are some vines as well, thank GITM for this.

Then when you get to the boss level its a rectangular with ruins and everything around, there are vines going up the wall but all the vines seem to come from at the end of the room where a giant looking tree with cogs in it is. When you get on the button some of the vines on the walls fall to the ground slamming, and then start to push against the ground as the huge tree pops out of the ground revealing its the overgrown lumber.

Stage 1: The stumptre calls on some lumbers to its aid. And then begins to fight itself, but instead of following the one who has hit it te most it goes after the closest one to it. Then it attacks first it attacks with its arm almost similar to vana but roots shoot up from near its arm nd fall ina bigger radius which is dodgeable. Then it might even charge and spin two times, (where di I get spinning? Simple lumbers spin when they are defeated.).

Stage 2; the stumptre will instead of calling on lumbers shake itself and some wolvers will fall out along with some silkwings. This will then become a frenzy of attacks. But now stumptre also throws some stones located in the back but it takes som time for him to throw them so shoot the shard on the belly side of his arm to make the boulder fall on him. Do this about twice.

Stage 3: Now the lumber has gotten worried and has retreated to the back still droping beasts, and roots himself down making a root wall and the vines become active now just like GITM the roots attack untill the root wall disapears from infront of stumptre so that you can attack. Do this around till he faints and he'll fall over and shrink like back to lumber size but white, and he will just walk around saying bru bru.

*I want to come up with some sort of hammmer and shield for this boss but I'm still thinking on this so some time or suggestions are apreciated.

This is more of a complaint about other threads than a thread for a suggestion, but whatever.

My thread has an index of other threads, who am I to talk about doing things differently?

You are absolutely right. This game has too much cute, happy, child friendly nonsense; not that Mewkats should be slaughtered, but usually when a game has bosses those bosses are not the same cute-happy-hug-time kind of things.

Going back to that index, here are some links:

  • Dragon Depths (scroll down)
  • Jelbug and some other stuff
  • Devilite CEO, Kentard and Indigoraven versions
  • Grimalking
  • I think there was something for Lumbers, I had some ideas sitting around for a while; I might make something for this soon because waiting forever for others is boring

The giant healer wing can be easily 'fixed' by turning it into a giant greaver. They are almost the same thing.

Lumbers have a spiritual succesor, Vanaduke.

Yes it wouldn't be bad to turn it into a big greaver I agree.

And yes lumbers are like vanaduke but in only one way, and that's there arm, other then that lumbers are to slow to charge aand hopefully can't take there faces off. But come back in a while and you'll see what my lumber can be like that sets it from vana.

@Little-Juances & Vanillateddy:

My Silkwing boss is actually a sort of recycled concept of a Greaver Boss suggestion* I did way WAY back. I just changed it to a Silkwing (albeit a Greaver-ish Silkwing) to try and avoid doing the same suggestion twice.

Here's my old Concept Art of him if you're curious (did it so long ago I can't tell if the regular Greaver in that picture was meant to be to scale or not)

*This suggestion is way older than my others, and it shows.
