Thwack Hammer 1* - give it the attack style of the Rocket Hammer

I feel this would be a beneficial addition for both OOO and players.

Players:
The attack style of the Rocket Hammers from Operation Crimson Hammer DLC rewards is similar to how Gremlin Thwackers and Seerus himself attacks.
The Thwack hammer is the hammer that Gremlin Thwackers use. The rocket hammer obviously has some propulsion to it, perhaps warranting the combo style more than a measly 1* normal damage weapon. However, this should be changed to make the weapon more true to its intended nature.

Another positive effect of this would be giving players a teaser at what you get with the Warmaster Rocket Hammer, letting them test-run the feel of the weapon and how you can play with it. This is similar to how a Vanguard Player might craft a 2* Spur or Striker to test out how the combo works for fun, before investing their time and money into a T3 weapon.

There would be no negative gameplay balance effects from this change, because T1 is pretty straightforward.

Three Rings:
By letting the players have a taste of what the Rocket Hammer feels like, players would be more likely to invest some cash they might not otherwise have and buy the DLC. Melee weapons are the most commonly used weapon, and thus this would effect the highest percentage of the playerbase.

The Seerus masks and bombs are also obviously good investments, and if the player did not feel any increased gain from a Rocket Hammer test run to their play-style, the other potential rewards are still incentive enough.

Well explained, I totally agree with you. I'm a Hammer user and I feel that the Thwack Hammer is too Similar to the Heavy Hatchet.

The Thwack Hammer should be changed to split piercing: It does have spikes on its face.

So? The 5 star brandishes each have 2 points, why not give them all peircing/elemental

The florish slashes for the first hit. So should the first hit now do normal damage?
The 5 star rocket hammer also has spikes on the hitting side. Should it get split peircing/elemental?

Well wait, if something has to actually peirce to justify it dealing peircing damage, do you think all status chromas should just do elemental or normal instead? All they do is spit on you. It isn't even sticky spit, it just rolls of your armor and falls to the ground.

Hell that would be intresting. A full monster type that only does normal damage and is nuetral to all damage.

Aren't the status Chromas more focused on doing status than damage? I mean the status glob on the floor is more dangerous than being hit by flying ones. I guess it's just a single exception since Chromas are beasts and wouldn't have fit into any other family.

Hell that would be intresting. A full monster type that only does normal damage and is nuetral to all damage.

That would be pretty cool.

Seeing how we are completely off topic, want to start a colab thread on attack buff/adition for mobs on elite mode?
Like making wolvers have a sort of sonic ball dash that can knock over players but no damage?

I'm pretty sure the T1 gremlins don't attack like that with the hammer, that's why it doesn't have the dash.

T2 and T3 gremlins still use

T2 and T3 gremlins still use the same hammer, however.

An alternative suggestion would be to give a 3* and 5* normal version of the Thwack hammer that has the chance to stun on hit (what the sudaruska should do, but doesn't).

Your argument is invalid. What about Warmmaster Seerus? He can spam Dark Retribution's and they explode instead of rotating inside the circumference of the Bomb's radius.

That's a boss, we aren't going to get his exact moves. You don't see the rocket hammer's charge have horizontal and vertical explosions.

So? What makes a difference if it's a boss. Normal Gremlin Thwackers attack differently yet we still don't attack like them. Boss makes no difference.

Also Gremlin Thwacks don't swing it like knights do. They swing it over their heads/Shoulder (can't really remember), and then (in T2/3) they sort of lunge near us and take another swing, which is infact a little bit like the dash. Also can we throw our Thwack Hammers like normal Gremlins? No.
